Although I've lived in various parts of Adelaide, I find Charles Sturt Council and its members to be the most incompetent and unfair. It is my expectation that the Council will work for the people who elected them rather than the other way around, since I pay fees every year to support a Council that does not care about its residents. I was fined twice by this Council for parking in an area with NO SIGNAGE (still no signage): a regular street, normal traffic, yet they fined me twice in two different spots. Disgusting and should not be allowed.
Just paid nonsense fine . They sent me a parking fine with late reminder fees.i asked them to even wives the late fees because I never received the original fine and the parking inspector never put the fines on my car or any of the other cars was parked in the same area to make it look safe. They don't even have evidence that the parking inspector put the fine ticket on my car. Doesn't make sense. Very unprofessional to solve the issue but they r very professional to collect money.
This is by far the worst council I have ever had to deal with. It's not about what the book says, it's who knows who. They have one set of rules for some, and a completely different set for others. This council lacks people skills and compassion. The bully tactics and buddy system they have going is very unprofessional and frankly, just embarrassing on their part. Great side of town that is unfortunately run by greedy Muppets who are driving this part of the world to the ground.
I would like to tell you how lovely two council workers were today.. Jim and Amen. One of the gentlemen noticed I was carrying rubbish to put into the bin which they were emptying and he crossed the road and took the rubbish from me. It was a nice start to our Sunday and I have to also mention both gentlemen smiled and were very friendly. Well done Charles Sturt for having such wonderful employees.
I must say that dealing with Sturt Charles council was always pain, it was like almost their got paid to make residents life harder, until today, I was served like I had a problem and I called the centre and I was understood and served. It was actually nice surprise. Please keep serving residents
I pay my council rates I expect my lawns to be mowed at least once every 3 months I'm sick of ringing up as they do not do my edges and leave a mess. If I'm behind in my rates I get a letter so the council takes our money start giving us what we pay for
Standard disgrace of a council for Bowden region. Virtually no car parking and council “rules” only allow one car park per residence at the time of building, so your out of luck with two cars. Then watch for parking inspectors who gleefully
Phoned about my dog being attacked at Tedder Reserve, Pooch Park by a staffy naned Pepper. I had the dogs details, owners car registration and know the name of the owner and where they live and I reported it to the council and nothing was
I reported to the council that the bolt on one of the doors in the Ozone Reserve female toilet did not work on December 7, 2021. I had to forward my initial email to the council on April 15, 2022, because nothing had been done. On May 12,
Live in Seaton, and had to have yellow lines put near my driveway as people were constantly parking over our driveway to go to get a coffee..came home Saturday and couldn't turn into my house as street was chaotic and someone over yellow
I am the volunteer who does the dogs bags at the Sam Johnson Reserve Renown Park ln the past 8 years no up grades have been done there. We are waiting on the voting for a toilet to be installed which is ridiculous not to have one there.
I organised for my hard rubbish to be collected on Monday 22nd of September, it was all put out there on the Saturday (was put within the measurement and was neat) By this point people were going through it and made a mess. I got a text
Really nice area close to the city. Well maintained parks and pavements. Rejuvenation of the area is lacking, business support is non-existing with no incentives for small business. To live in it is a great cosmopolitan area with mostly
Haters gonna hate, but this council has served me very well. The council accidentally sprayed some weed killer through the fence onto our lawn. The response was brilliant, they sent guys out the next day to sort it out with a dose of
The so called family fair on the 29th Aug in Henley Sq was misleading - no public toilets, nothing to eat and drink so nothing for children and naturally hard for parking - the council gave permission for this ? it was a joke
Recently moved into my first home in Ovingham. Council has been great, I've had a broken bin replaced, a hard rubbish collection and a tree planted out the front all free of charge and within days of requesting.
Worst council in SA.. Have no problems putting 1000 of homes in small streets where you cant park anywhere.. Then happy to fine ya working on new building site!!!
Absolutely terrible behaviour from this Council. They are sending reminder fines without any notice, they fine people without any explanation.
Welcome to the City of Charles Sturt, Cheltenham suburb where verges are out of control and the maintenance program is a disgrace
Exorbitant and bureaucratic planning and building application process. A total lack of transparency to required information.
