"Not worth a visit, smelled like bodily fluids"
"A slice of tranquility in the midst of downtown Phoenix's modern highrises"
"Had the United Revival Jesus March! It was hard finding a public restroom, other than that It was such a great experience seeing people being delivered and praising God"
"Nice place to chill"
"Pretty"
Not worth a visit, smelled like bodily fluids. A quick drive by is all you need. I feel really bad for the kids that have to walk through it to get to class. The city needs some homelessness reform in order to fix the issue. Nothing really to do other than sit on benches but they were all occupied as that was the only area with shade.
A slice of tranquility in the midst of downtown Phoenix's modern highrises. Grounds are well groomed and provide ample space for strolling around or sitting in the grass enjoying the views. Suspended above is the ethereal large scale art installation by Janet Echelman. Very beautiful place at night.
Had the United Revival Jesus March! It was hard finding a public restroom, other than that It was such a great experience seeing people being delivered and praising God. 4000+ people came and I was luckily enough to be 1 of the 73 Baptized! GOD IS GOOD!
Nice place to chill. people watch, and enjoy a decent view of some of downtown. It is a weird place where normies interact with fringe dwellers in a peaceful, harmonious manner. If we can coexist here who is to say that the world can't live in peace?
Pretty. Cool net sculpture, too. Skethcy activity is apparently the norm there, though. Ten minutes after we arrived, a kind local warned us that things get snatched frequently, there. We ended up at an even nicer park nearby (north central art).
I went to see the installation and just chill until dusk to see it light up but when I got there it was extremely dirty, homeless people were everywhere on all the benches, and there was someone very clearly tweaking on something. I didn't
Beautiful park with incredible art by Janet Echelman. So wonderful to have a piece of art by a world renowned artist right here in our own backyard. Unfortunately, there was a lot of poverty, homelessness and litter in and around the park.
I really love that there's an outdoor space in this location. A lot of really neat features, including art installations, historic buildings that have been repurposed, and a variety of landscaping. The sad part is- it seems neglected and
A small park, downtown area. While there I saw a couple people having a catch off to my right and a homeless man sleeping off to my left. Clearly, some drug activity in this area. I saw a police SUV pull into the park area, heard someone
Very beautiful space for outdoor music concerts and other public events. Backdrop of lit sculpture makes the space quite an attraction. Must be a place to hang out when weather is warmer, but even in cold weather is a sight to see.
I was early to a class at AWEE and decided to wait in here, it is a nice place but most of the people that were in the park at that time were homeless...I don't know if that just happen in the mornings or it is like that all day..
Its hard to get to the play area with a stroller. However, bring sandbox toys and your little one will enjoy the fine white sand play area that's covered. The splash pad is a perfect mister pad for toddlers
Love the suspension Art but this area needs to be cleaned up so people can use and enjoy the space again. When i say people i mean other than the homeless population. It currently needs attention...
It's no patriots square park but it's got a nice sized lawn with a shaded area under some trees. It's a pleasant park to chill at anytime of the day and take in the cities ambiance under the shade
Came here to see the art installation, "Her Secret is Patience". We walked around and enjoyed seeing ASU downtown. Grabbed a couple of smoothies and hopped on the metro rail to explore the area.
Check out ‘Her Secret Is Patience’ the public art installation named for a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote (read more on Atlas Obscura)! “Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience,” beautiful!
Very cool park! It was hot out of course so we do plan to come back when it is cooler. There were a few homeless people hanging around but not too bad. Downtown Phoenix in all is a ghost town!
The public art piece was cool, but I wouldn't recommend going alone at night owing to the scores of homeless people who hang out there. Perhaps it feels safer on weekends or game nights.
Hard to rate. Depends on what your looking for. Good place for ASU downtown students to stretch their legs. Artistic design. No free parking nearby. Frequented by homeless individuals.
Awesome start point for free downtown Phoenix experience. Downtown walk was about 30min total w/ parking. Cool architecture of you're in to that sort of thing.
A few homeless folks but otherwise a nice park with a very cool piece of art. Took the kids here after a DBacks game while we waited for an Uber.
The view of "Her Secret Is Patience " art is just majestic. It even gets better at night with all the lights, just make you awe! Must visit!
Civic Space Park is the gem of downtown. The Security was especially knowledgeable and helpful. Made my visit a true delight! …
Cool park near asu's downtown campus my bike group meets here every Sunday it's easy to see from just about anywhere downtown.
Gorgeous park, and one that I would love to visit again (at night when the lights are on). A nice place to sit and relax.
There is much space to walk around, grass to sit down, and overall a great space if you want to just relax and lounge.
I attended a Battle of the Bands event here and it was really a great space. I hope to see it next time I'm in Phoenix!
Attended the 8123 festival here and was pleasantly surprised by the venue, plenty of places to sit and nice green grass
Cool park. Came to have a smoke and clear my mind. No on bothered me. One of the few small "green spaces" downtown.
I give it five stars for the awesome art installation Her Secret is Patience by Janet Echelman only.
The place is really calmed and I think when there is no pandemic there are some cafeterias open.
It is a great place to be with family and friends and get to hang out!
