I went to classic bowl with a large group. The group pre ordered food however I have a sever allergy to many various products. I knew that the food they were offering wouldn’t be suitable for me to eat so I made arrangements to bring my own food to prevent any possible contamination. Seeing as I had already paid for food that I wouldn’t be eating I thought that this would be okay. The manager saw that I had brought outside food into the establishment and then proceeded to yell at me for having done so. After I explained my situation to him he told me quote it wasn’t okay because other people could see that outside food had been brought in. Whilst I understand that outside food is prohibited on the premises accommodations could not and were not made for me. Therefore due to my allergy I could not eat the food that I had pre paid for and instead brought my own. Furthermore the group I was with all bought (overpriced) snacks from the establishment, in addition to the food that was pre order even . Due to those reasons I’m not sure why my actions were met with hostility and callousness. The manager completely overacted and was insensitive to my allergies. Will not be returning.
I had a horrible experience at classic bowl today. My friends and I came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday at 6:30 pm and when we arrived we were told that we wouldn’t be able to get lanes until 8:30 due to bowling leagues. Despite having come here 2 days prior to make sure there would be lanes for us, there was no mention of leagues to us when we came in earlier to reserve a spot. They told us that no reservations could be made during the March break and that we would have to reserve when we arrived. Once we arrived, they told us we couldn’t even put our names down to wait and that we needed to wait to be able to put our names down. Most of us are hijabi women and after speaking with a few others who had a larger group than us as we’re not visibly muslim, were bowling, we realized that they had gotten reservations before us despite arriving here an hour and a half after us. We tried speaking to the staff and the so called “manager” but started yelling at us saying things like “this is my bowling alley I can do whatever I want” repeatedly despite us being visible minors, and not giving us the chance to speak back. This is my first time here and definitely my last.
If it were possible, I would give this place a 0 out of 5-star rating. It was a horrible experience. Their customer service was terrible, and the employees were disrespectful. We were having fun and just trying to hit the pin before our time ran out. Then we were approached by one of the staff members (not so young man) shortly after we finished playing. He was shouting and throwing foul words. “You all look like a well-educated people. You must be the smartest people in your class.” In a rude and a very sarcastic way, and the girl next to him just laughed. What a great, well-trained crew members they have. I don't care who you are, you could be the manager or the owner of that place, but you should know that you have no right to use insulting words toward anyone, particularly to your customers if you're doing business. Better shut your place down if you can’t respect and treat people with kindness. #havesomemannersplease We left the place by saying, “Goodbye, we still have a class to attend to.” Hahaha! Hoping, the owner of this place hire new people who knows the real value of RESPECT.
Good place but with "passive-aggressive" staff, unfortunately. Yesterday when we were here, the guy from reception got sight of the Ukrainian Trident (image of Ukrainian National Emblem) on my T-shirt and decided to clarify where I'm from originally. Sure, maybe it was only a coincidence. Still, after my confirmation that my friends and I are from Ukraine, the song Boney M. "Rasputin" (about a famous russian historical figure, russian culture, etc.) was played at least twice, and it was the only repeated song. It was so rude from the staff side and heartbreaking for my friends whose houses are under occupation by russian troops and whose families are suffering from bombs and missile shelling every single day. I am writing this review hoping you will discuss this case with the staff and your team won't let it happen again. Your place is located in the heart of the Ukrainian community, so I ask you to consider changing the playlist because I'm afraid that such "musician taste" may offend someone else. P.S. I hope it was only an accident
This review is about Mr. Tahir, the client rep at the facility who has a foul-mouth and zero training in customer service based on his brief interaction. When our group of friends and families came for the weekend bowling, we expected good time, instead due to his mis-representation and incomplete information, we ended up with an expensive package. When confronted, he admitted that he forgot to mention that the deal is time-barred but the way he acted was utterly unprofessional, rude and irrational. Not only, Mr. Tahir needs formal training in client interaction, his employer could benefit by putting him in proper English and ettiequte classes. Terrible face for the Classic bowl franchise and a sure way to lose your business fast! P.S. When reminded about Consumer protection laws and Google reviews, the guy thought we were bluffing and he didn't really care. Well, as promised here is the review and we plan to follow-up with a call to his higher-up so no one will have to go through this terrible experience again! Signing out
October 29th, 2023, The customer service between 3-5 pm whoever worked those shifts were the worst customer experience I have ever personally encountered. To begin, me and my family were going to enjoy this fine Sunday afternoon. The people at the desk did not even find compromises or alternatives for our situation where we had just paid and wanted to upgrade to the family deal with the 1.5 hour and pizza and pop bowling. I waited 5 minutes while the bowling lane time was still going and they were talking to each other instead of me. I switched between 3 representatives who didn't even know what they were talking about. No problem solving skills, compromising or alternative customer satisfaction was given, merely shrugged off and left. If I could I would rate a 0.
Me and my family came here to bowl at around 9:30. We get to the desk and pay and the total came to $100 for one lane. They told us the max amount of people per lane was 5. We were not going to pay for two lanes. On top of that, we were strictly told that we were not allowed to share shoes between ourselves. As we were bowling the kids in our group got a big hungry and wanted slushies. I went to the counter and bought one. It was very watery and in no way could be considered a slushy. 5 minutes later I returned to the stall to buy another slushy and the attendant told me they were closed. How can the bowling ally stay open, but the food stall closes. Overall not the best bowling ally I have been too. Way too expensive.
I give it 3 stars because our Daughter's birthday here was fairly stress free and the kids loved it, which would normally deserve 5 stars, right? I get busy, I get waiting, I get it. What I don't get is that 70% of lanes are reserved for leagues on a Friday around 7-10pm, and out of those lanes, 6 to 7 of them are EMPTY, just "reserved" while families wait. Lanes were overcrowded, so it wasn't;t helping the flow of business. It just seemed poorly organized by the operator, it was a busy place, with many people waiting just like us - but 6 to 7 EMPTY LANES (and most empty the entire hour and a half) amidst the chaos of people continuing to stream in, come on guys. Open em up! It's ridiculous.
Went here with a few of our friends. Staff doesn't know how to charge accordingly (Mr Tahir) causing us game time play while they figure out the issue for a solid 20 minutes. They try to make it seem like its your fault when in reality it's miscommunication between staff members. We accident hit the bar while bowling and were kicked out immediately after when explaining to them that it was simply an accident and we didn't mean it at all. Charged us $130 plus dollars for less than 2 hours of game time. No light bowling balls only 11 pounds and up. Don't come here. Your better off going to a better managed bowling place. Avoid at all costs. Managed by incompetent staff
I went to this place inquiring to host my son's birthday party . I mentioned the date and time, and was informed by the staff at front desk that I can make online reservation by filling online form for the event and it will be done. I did that and then couple days later I was told that they are not taking any reservations for whatever reason they made up. *The website doesn't says about no reservations during the period. Even after several requests the person Russel (who had no empathy whatsoever) spoke in a robotic tone that he cannot do anything about it although it was a mistake of his staff to not have given me the correct information upfront.
The staff, and especially the manager, were very rude. Her tone of voice and choice of words were so condescending, even her facial expressions were very unprofessional … she shutdown our lane while we were in the middle of a game instead of coming over and communicating with us, because the kids wouldn’t put on the bowling shoes they provided. Well, the shoes were reeking, moist and just so unhygienic. Our overall experience was just terrible. Terrible customer service and terrible communication skills, I don’t know how she made it to manager. PS. I have been there before multiple times, staff was way friendlier and cordial.
Classic Bowl was fun to play at! Their service is quite fast and my friends and I never had an issue finding our shoe sizes. There are also so many bowling alleys that they never have a capacity issue even if it's a weekend. After we got our shoes, they also gave us a free cookie sponsored from McDonald's and it was literally the best cookie I've ever had. We went bowling at night on a Sunday but sadly they didn't have the night lights on. But we were able to accomplish 2 games under 1 hour with 4 people, so it was worth our money. It was nice that they had a lot of different bowling balls to choose from, even on a busy night.
Was there for the first time last night to see the Queen of Metal, Lee Aaron and she was amazing as always, so she gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! Unfortunately the room she played in was horrible. The sound was amazing but the layout with the table and chairs was horrendous. People were moving all the chairs around and blocking pathways to the bar and entrance. Get red of the tables (you don't serve real food anyway, just snack items) and put in chairs (theatre-style) with cupholders in the arms. You'll get more seats in and people won't be trapped, stuffed and scattered in the room. It was brutal.
Honestly the shoes smell just fine, here. No but in all seriousness, this place has been around for forever and it’s not for no reason. The place is huge, has pretty decent food, adequate service, and bowling lanes with a big selection of different weights for the bowling balls. They renovated it in recent years and the updates are nice and modern, definitely gives it a more 2020 vibe than early 2000’s like it was before, not that anything was wrong with that, but it’s just more to date now. Looking for an alley, look no further.
After a delicious bday dinner At Kelsey’s Erin mills. the bday celebrant wanted toe end her special day on an activity. We originally planned on going to the port credit lighthouse but we ended going to The classic bowl in Dundas and we did enjoy it a lot! The staff was really friendly and gave us the correct shoe sizes. I want to recommend that the area seems to be dark and it would be nice to put additional lighting fixtures and to update the feel of the place ..all in all a great experience especially if you love to bowl
Customer service is not that good as the people there were not cordial, the price was $34.99 on a Monday for one hour before 6pm for three people but after the shoes, it came to over a dollar a minute. Other places can do four people with shoes for an hour for less than $15 per person. The machines that pick up the pins and organizes them takes a long time, ranging from instantaneous placement of new pins, to waiting three grueling minutes. I'd suggest going to a different city for a better experience.
My daughter and her friends came here to celebrate their friends birthday and were yelled at by the manager and didn’t get any lanes in the 4 hour period they were there. They were the only ones who were told to wait for lanes because everyone else who they spoke to was able to get a lane within 30 minutes - an hour. They were the only visibly muslim girls in the bowling alley and were treated with disrespect by the staff working there. Will not be returning.
Always a fun time here! They always accommodate large groups of 15-20s pretty easily so it’s a plus coming here with a large party. The bowling alley’s always clean, they’ve got it all. The service is great. Only thing is it’s hard to find certain balls when it’s busy in terms of balls that are lighter for larger fingers but otherwise always worth the trip! They always have cool lighting on the weekends with playlists that are fun to jam to.
Went here on a date. The folks two lanes over kept walking across other peoples lanes and taking their balls. When one of the guests finally said something to them (why didn’t staff deal with this?) it began a massive fight. So unprofessional. Staff stood there and watched and I’m pretty sure I saw one staff member recording it like it’s world star or something. The whole thing was gross and embarrassing. This place is horrible
I had a great experience. Went out for a fun night of bowling and some drinks. Ended up leaving my purse at my alley. The wonderful Xavier found it and returned it Hassan and Tahir who were behind the cash that night. I was greeted so kindly and helped so kindly in getting my belonging all back in one piece. I not only had a wonderful night, but know I can trust the workers at classic bowl Dundas. Thank you again gentlemen.
Amazing place for kids of all ages. Fun for the parents as well , ample parking space in front of Mandarin. Nearby locations include , Allstate , Harvey’s , value village , Costco , Home Depot Best Buy Lots of shoes available, plus the whole location is well maintained by the friendly staff . Beers and other alcohol beverages available at the bar . Tim Hortons conducts frequent activities to raise money for charity .
Beat up, overpriced and just sad. $72 for 1 hour of bowling??? Food is way overpriced and this is a self service place unlike other bowling places where they will bring the food out to you when it's ready. What's the point of asking for tips?? ACs don't work, be prepared to sweat buckets while bowling. Not worth it. Bowlero and Bowlerama are much better value for money. Honestly, I wish I could get my money back.
Sorry this place is stuck in 90's.. they still charge shoe rentals which were used in world war 1, vending machine with no cards and bowling balls that have certainly seen worse days. You can see other comments on how expensive they are, staff is rude bla bla.. and not once the owner responded....so you know how the service is lol. Its better to call the place in advance to get the prices to avoid any surprises.
Good place to spend time , entertaining and no way you will get bored . The only mi nus is the pizza , which is not so great , but you don’t have choice to get it from outside . Restrooms are clean , Bowling shoes are neat and clean and you have plethora of sizes. Kids will have bumper lane , which is more motivating for them and for beginners. Overall a satisfying experience. But bear with the food and drinks .
Recently went to this place with friends on long weekend. Many lanes available. Usually wait time is very minimum. Very well maintained lanes. They also have wide range of snacks and drinks. Their french fries and nachos platter was really good. Very cooperative staff, was helpful. Huge parking lot in front of entrance. Highly recommend this place for fun and free time.
Classic Bowl is a decent place to gather with some friends and play some bowling. The place is always clean and in nice condition, they have some decent sales as well throughout the week. However, the normal price to buy a lane is a little on the expensive side. We paid $26 each for the 3 of us for just one hour. Despite the price, the food is not bad for the price.
Good, clean place to enjoy some time with friends or family. 1st hour is a bit expensive but they give you second hour for quite cheap. Book only 1 hour and extend while you're there, to get most value. Drinks and food is expensive but that's how these places make money, and is comparable with other bowling places. I would recommend this place.
Very expensive unless you play in a league. League is about $20 a week for 3 games. Playing in a league also gives you a season pass where you can play for an hour free, every day, and bring a friend for $11 If you wanna come bowl on the weekend outside of a league, then it's gonna be some $65 (?!) for an hour, plus shoes.
Best spot in town. Amazing alley with over 50 lanes. Always clean & well serviced. I've been going for years, but started attending regularly since beginning of summer - no complaints whatsoever. The manager, Mr T, goes above & beyond to ensure customer satisfaction on every occasion. Kudos! Keep it up!
This bowling alley has been around for as long as I can remember. The staff are friendly and helpful. This place is great for families, birthday parties or a night out having fun. It has I believe 60 lanes. If offers leagues for all kinds of skilled bowlers. It offers food and drinks.
I visited this bowling alley with a couple individuals I was supporting who had special needs. We had the best experience here with Tahir and the evening staff. He was so fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed- very attentive and kind. Will definitely be revisiting again.
I went with my church (Praise Cathedral Worship Centre) for Family Bowling Night. The night manager Tee and his crew were all amazing! Super helpful, friendly and attentive to all of our needs. Thank you so much Tee and team for making our night such an awesome one!
Ghetto. Shoes have holes in them and our game kept freezing. There was a worker who had to keep adjusting our pins...mid game! Wow . Also food service was HORRIBLE. They got the order wrong twice. I wouldn't go back. Others seemed to be having fun though. …
Seemed overprice for a bunch of chipped balls. Staff was alright. Lanes were almost full at the time but there was no wait to get and Lan and get started. This place is gonna be nostalgic in some time. I wouldn't want roll here if I didn't have my own.
Rude and arrogant staff. Not at all friendly and if you ask them to help, they deny saying they have no clue about it. And don’t even bother to arrange for someone who can help us with the issue. Good place to hang out with friends otherwise.
This place is a dangerous facility and would not recommend to kids, groups of aggressive people frequent the place and start fights often. Staff sits back and laughs. The employees are absolutely unprofessional and enable dangerous behaviour.
I was so happy to have a good time here on the weekend with my family. I played bowling after a long time and laughed a lot.I came here again with a fun memory. As expected, I had a great time and thought about buying a season pass ticket.
It's been a while - since last frame. I have absolutely no idea, why while searching for a new curling place in the UK, Classic Bowl appeared in my memory ...hmmm, maybe, because it is cool place, with a super atmosphere - good memories.
Classic bowl is fully-fitted with all the fun you can handle. Good music and comfort food available on site. You can get groupon deals for this place but read the fine print as it excludes holidays and weekends after a specified time.
I did not even want to give one star. The service was awful. The person who manages at front is so rude to the customers. Everyone pays to play and we did not deserve your bad behaviour. Learn how to talk politely with the customers..
We brought a group of neurodiverse young ladies to have a fun bowling night, and everyone was nice, the lanes and balls were clean, and so was the bathroom. There’s a good variety of food to buy as well. A good time was had by all.
Nice bowling spot with many number of lanes. The space is good and the service was friendly. Went on a Saturday afternoon and the combo with 1.5hr of bowling, pizza and drink along with free shoe rental for $107 was a worthy deal.
Worst experience ever. They just shut down the game on my kids while they are playing as if they are on detention. She was very rude with my wife. She was very arrogant while talking to my wife. A WORSE EVER EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
I've been coming here since I was a kid. It'll never get old. They still have a great atmosphere. The service is always good. The staff at the concession are always so lovely. Great place to come with anyone for any occasion.
The employee named Xavier was a GREAT help, was so thoughtful and kind to make sure my family and I had a stupendous night! Definitely deserves all the stars! The other workers were very unprofessional but he was very nice
$63 per hour is a little steep, And my experience i had to call service 7 times then the staff asked to move after 25 min with nothing to copensate for the worst bowling experience, Unprofessional staff. Lane 33 is broken!
Hi there This place is great to spend time with your kids BUT zero customer service and the manager yang white guy very route racist disrespect ather he ruined my day, Don't recommend at all very bad experience …
This was a great place and it was sooo clean! Definitely coming back! The food was great too, enjoyed their freshly made fries and chicken fingers. Bowling balls were sanitized and I definitely felt comfortable.
$140 for 2 hours of bowling is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve bowed in other places for $10 an hour. This is CRIMINAL. There’s nothing that stands this place out that would explain a 4x hike in prices.
Went here w kids Pretty fun for kids as they have lane assist Food is tasting good I don’t know about pricing (included picture) as I have not play for years Food are quite good here and fried portion quite big
Came with my church group for a night of bowling and the night shift manager T and the staff had exceptional customer service and really made it a welcoming and fun experience! Can't wait to come back again!!!
They got the comfy lounge chair booths it’s great when you’re with a group of people. I don’t like how there is no glow in the dark theme during night time hours but the place is a really good bowling spot.
Great place for a large group outing. Nice large facility. Highly recommend and very likely to come back. Food: pizza and wings were good, fries are fries, which were good & the nachos could use some work.
We as a family love going here...its a good place and is family friendly..staff is nice and helpful..you can a good deal from Wagjag coupon...with shoe rentals included...hope you enjoy as much as we did
I used to bowl here on a team many years ago, and what a blast...never thought I'd be watching 2 of my favorite 80's bands belting out their EPIC 80's tunes on the very lanes I bowled on...amazing
extremely unsanitary bathrooms. And the bald manager working in the front was disgustingly rude and needs to learn how to talk to customers, not even worth 1 star never coming back here again.
Great prices and not that busy! There's a one hour limit and it's about 16 per person but the only criticsm is that we almost finished 2 rounds of play but was cut off at the last momment
The bowling was alright. The food was so expensive. It’s was horrible. I got food poisoning from the wings. To add it all up I broke my wrist from the balls cuz they were not safe
This is a relatively modern bowling ally and it doesn't feel rundown or old. They have a bar and a place to get food. The staff are friendly and the shoe rentals are good.
Went to several McBowl shows at Classic Bowl...did not bowl...food relatively inexpensive and good and the alcohol beverages are within reason. Plenty of parking as well!
Hugeee place. Great staff. Good food and clean. My only issue some of the shoes were worn off. Shoelaces were tangled. This place is kids friendly. We visit every year.
Sorry to say but nothing is good about the place. So disappointed. Staff is arrogant and rude. They clearly don't know what customer service is. Food is so blaaah.
Awesome place! Didn't take long to get a lane even tho it was a Saturday of march break. Snack bar food was good and priced well. Also has a wide variety of stuff.
Really chill vibe and it's clean. They give free socks and cookies when you rent shoes. Also, they do glow in the dark over the weekends which is pretty fun.
Fun night at this bowling location. Been here several times and have only had good experiences. Has been expensive at times so try to find a groupon.
Extremely disappointed. Horrible treatment and customer service. Dangerous individuals and staff did absolutely nothing but laugh. Do not recommend.
Attended the concert series last night with Chalk Circle, Rough Trade, Strange Advance. Excellent time excellent show I hope to return again soon.
I went here a couple of times, and it was amazing to play this all-inclusive sport! I've been here with my friends and family, and we loved it!
love bowling here. We always have so much fun and the staff is great. I had my daughter's birthday there and staff was great with everything
been coming here my whole life. great customer service, affordable. food and drinks there as well and kid lanes as well. always a good time
The cleanest bowling alley i have ever been at. The food at the snack bar is also very good. Plus kids bowl free all summer if you sign up.
Always a good time at Classic Bowl, use weekday mornings to practice, even with a few morning leagues during the week it’s pretty relaxed.
Best bowling alley selection of beer was very good moreover food was better and good not crowded like other places and price was genuine
It's a great place to go bowling and it's kept clean. However the bowling balls were a bit slippery from the cleaning products they use.
It's a big facility and fun for all ages and all abilities. I only wish they had better food,it would be an all around great experience.
Had a good time and appreciated the free cookie. There were were a few glitches on the board though. Just laugh it off and have fun.
Hmmm Seem expensive... Was told by lady at front counter that its 26$+shoes cost.. per person.. she said its 75 for 3 people.
A great bowling facility. Lanes are well maintained. Facility is clean and I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming.
Not a fan of bowling but I loved this bowling. Clean space ,nice staff. Their bowling shoes needs an upgrade though.
it is large and clean, very good place for an exercise. Price is attractive before 12:00, No need to reserve.
Love this place. Always clean, pretty good food. Service is friendly and great. Only complaint is the price.
Girl on the reception was so nice, she even let us to finish our game with 3min free on top of our time.
Had a great time bowling with the grandchildren. And they lived the cookies we received when leaving
Loved it! Bought two family packages and it was totally worth it and customer service exceptional!
Lanes are well oiled and maintained. A little bit overpriced $80 for 90 mins and 2 pairs of shoes
We saw a concert. Honeymoon suite and Chilliwack. Awesome time. Hope they keep having good bands
This place is absolutely garbage. Double the price of much better bowling places in GTA. Avoid!
The biggest bowling place in Mississauga. It contains 60 lanes that accommodate 6 players each.
Great staff and a lot of fun! The service was quick and we didn’t wait long to get a lane!
Good place to bowl with friends and family. Staff is very helpful and humble.
A good experience. Well maintained and clean place. Happy to go back.
Very good experience. Friendly staff, very well kept facilities.
Clean, huge and ok customers service.
