First time at this Cafe and I left very happy. I had a cafe latte and it was one of the best I've had. The kitties are all over the room some sleeping, some playing. They give you a treat to give them when you first go in. Note you have to take off shoes so should have socks on. They have a wide selection of toys and an hour in the room goes by quick if you visit with each one. If other people are in the room it's easy to talk with them. You are able to leave this place feeling good, these cats are healthy, get lots of interaction, live in a cozy space are well fed and I didn't smell any litter. I saw some food and water put out under a table for any cat needing nibbles. This is so much better than them being alone in a cage while waiting for adoption! And it's not cheap but nor is cat food and litter. So, any amount you feel is excessive, know it goes to the cats! It's doubtful owners are making a ton of profits because it's obvious they love the cats. I'll be back with my husband. Hanging out here for an hour would make a cute date night. And if you're a cat lover, it should be on your list to visit. A true pick me up!

Was kind of skeptical of the place at first. I’m a frugal guy, I don’t like spending much on a cup of coffee, and I still don’t. BUT if you want a great experience with friends and BANGING coffee you have to try Cleocatra out. Their booking system is so simple and easy to use, the cats could do it! The way they utilize every inch of that little space is amazing. Some may complain and wish they could drink their coffee with the cats around, but I really do like that the cats are in one separate room. It’s great for anyone who just wants to get some coffee and not interact with any cats (sick people tho). Critics might think this spot is only popular due to it having cats, and that if it was a cafe alone it wouldn’t be able to stand. To this I say no. The Vietnamese coffee I got was wonderful. The staff really do put their best effort with each item served. Good coffee. Good vibe. Great cats. What else do you need? 5/5

loved the cat cafe. really good drinks and lovely service. the staff were really nice and so were the cats. coffee was pretty nice, so was the smoothie. lots of toys for them to play with. i'm not much of a cat guy, but i know those guys have the time of their lives here. they're very trusting of people and sleep on people sometimes. keep in mind you will have to book a time for going in the cat room, but it's nice and easy. parking's a bit of a pain, but there's a burger king and gas station nearby. not that much of a pain if you can handle walking like 1 minute.

i'd say its pretty friendly. i'm 14 and i went in, and it was pretty good. kids who can handle animals will love this place.

The Cafe is very quaint. We arrived in time for our appointment (which I highly recommend if you want to visit with the kitties). We received treats to give the kitties as well as a puzzle for us to complete. We were able to spend an hour in the cat room. The kitties were very comfortable with people in the room. Some were sleepy, some were playful, while others were happy to find a lap to enjoy. After our time in the room was over, we enjoyed a beverage and treat while taking in the atmosphere of the Cafe itself. The drinks were very good and the treats were tasty. If you are looking for a place to relax with some purrs and maybe find a furever friend, this is definitely the place to do so. I will be back to support this worthwhile kitty haven ❤️ !

Honestly the best cat cafe I’ve been to! The shop has such a cool vintage vibe to it and jots so warm and inviting inside! The staff is there to welcome you and make sure your interactions are as gentle and fun for the kitties as it is for you! There are so many cats and kittens there that when they start feeling overwhelmed or tired, there’s a cat who is ready for your attention! The kitties all seem to be in afraid of kids and people and one hour with the cats passes by so quickly! There is free wifi but who can look at their phones with so many cute cats around! A must visit for anyone in Winnipeg or visiting Winnipeg!!

This place is incredibly cute! We had a lovely time with the kitties and later building the wood figurine they gave us (as part of admittance to the cat room). They had so many unique and fun drinks and they were all so good! However, it was sad to see the workers receive some awful treatment from people trying to get into the cat room without booking in advance, which unfortunately happened quite a lot in the couple of hours we were there. You can’t do this, nor has it ever been the practice of any other cat café. You always need to book in advance and it’s not the workers’ fault if there’s no space for you on a specific day.

The food and drinks are delicious! Even if you’re not a cat person, you’ll enjoy the atmosphere, accommodating staff and delicious treats. The cat room is above adorable and will cheer up any bad mood or funky vibes that are crushing your spirit. Fair warning though that the cafe is HOT! Like, hot yoga class hot. Don’t let this deter you, simply wear lighter clothes, you’ll look fabulous and have a yummy treat as a reward!

I came here with my child who was very excited to spend some time playing with cats. No where did it say I needed to book a reservation in order to see the cats. The only way we could see the cats is if we waited 4-5 hours. I had to leave with my very disappointed child. There is no supervision inside the room and there are children bothering sleeping cats and picking up cats that clearly don’t want to be picked up. There is no where for a cat to escape and sleep by themselves and not be bothered. Kids are throwing toys at cats and trying to place hats on the cats heads. Very disappointing.

Cleocatra cat cafe is such an amazing and cool place! I loved so much playing with the cats. They give you cat food and have many toys inside for you to play and spoil them. You can also adopt them, which is really great! Maybe it was luck, but all the cats were really friendly. The place also has a really cool decoration that you can actually buy! And the drinks and desserts are delicious! I recommend the matcha smoothie and the tiramisu and strawberry dessert! I also think that this would be a great place for a date.

I had high expectations for this place, and I can definitely say they were exceded. The service was friendly, helpful, and genuine. Drinks were delicious. They use locally ground coffee beans. The cat room is understandably separated from the Cafe, so make sure you have time before or after your scheduled hour to enjoy a beverage and a baked good. Cats were happy, healthy, and social. They seemed well taken care of. I think it's a great opportunity for the cats to socialize and get adopted in a setting outside of an animal shelter. I applaud cleocatra for their endeavors.

Come for the cats, stay for the drinks. Booked a cat visit spot in advance, which is highly recommended if you want to enjoy time in the cat room. Wonderful hour spent just playing and watching the kitties, most of which are available for adoption. Really enjoyed their summer violet drink (sorry, I can't recall the name). My friend had the strawberry banana smoothie and could not stop raving about it. Can't wait to go back!

Having seen a social media post about Cleocatra Cafe my daughter asked that when we came to Winnipeg we must go to the cafe. It was an experience that my child will never forget. The opportunity to spend some quiet time with their friendly cats in the cat room was the best moment for my munchkin. The macha smoothie and other drinks we ordered were delicious. Most people go to a café for the drinks. I go for the cats. I'm a huge animal lover, and I'm not allowed to have pets where I live. The music is relaxing and at a very comfortable volume, and it creates a very calm atmosphere in the cat room. And the cats! So many sweet kitties who need great homes. It’s one of those places where you walk in and you forget you’re in Winnipeg. Staff were very kind I love that the cats are up for adoption rather than having designated cats just for the café. I’d love to see this café in a bigger space as well in the future, but for now I enjoyed having the little nook moment at Portage.

However, we discovered you have to book a time slot to visit the cats and unfortunately did not get to go into the room (it was very packed with people). Yes they have cats you can pay to cuddle with but you can also just hang out in the creative Cafe. The decor is unique with your great grandma's sewing machine as table tops. The coffee is fresh and strong. The vibe is relaxing even though the chairs may not be.
