Good facilities for families, even if you're not riding. Toilets, shade trees & plenty of room for a picnic. Great for little kids with plenty of grass and a playground. The trails are generally well kept and there's a range of difficulties to suit all riders. There's a pump track and flat gravel track for junior riders. The jump tracks are great fun without having to climb up the hills. Trails are signposted, but it's recommended to bring someone who knows the tracks if you've never been before, as some tracks are one way or hiking / riding only. (Map boards help.) As always, play nice & respect your fellow trail users!

Excellent area for a casual walk/low intensity hike surrounded by native plants and occasional wildlife. There is a BBQ, family sitting area & a large modern playground for the little ones. To my surprise - it doesn't end there. A pump track & unique set of bmx/mtb tracks with accompanying jumps & ramps adjacent to the family area for any thrill seekers or push bike enthusiasts. Finally - For the nerds, 3 PokèStops & 2 Gyms. The whole area is a fantastic nest for all types of Pokèmon. Overall this area can be utilised for 5 minutes of peace or a whole day of enjoyment with the family.

Great place to walk or ride, BUT, for the first time visitor a navigational nightmare. The signage is so poor that it's almost impossible to stay on a track without veering off course. Bablers Loop is a track many will try on their first visit. Good luck with that. And, beware of the bikes that come hurtling towards you at great speed. Parts of the track are barely wide enough for one person, so an oncoming bike can be quite frightening. Nevertheless, having said all that, it's a great place to visit and I'm very glad to have this facility for people to use.

It was an autumn afternoon, I walked between the rain and the sun, between the sunshine on the treetops and at the same time the soft raindrops fell on the way back. This is a quiet place for you to relax with family and friends in peace because everything here is extremely simple. If you are a lover of unspoiled nature, this place can give you a gentle sense of harmony. It's a feeling that comes from deep inside when we escape from bustling city life. Right here, I let my bare feet touch the ground and felt the love and breath of mother nature.

Only three stars because the tracks and trails are very poorly marked making it very easy to get lost and end up out of your depth. No trail markers to identify the trail your on once you start, at junctions in the trails the markers are never clear on which way to go, example one marker and three trails to choose from and the marker doesn't really point to either trail. Other than that this is a great place to walk, hike and bike, just be careful. Photo example of a trail marker that doesn't help at all just says Everything Else

  • jojo7al

It's a wonderful little secluded park, barely anyone there when we went. The equipment isn't a lot but it's still fun to go up and pretend like you're on top of the world, nice view. The trails don't really have directions and the map is a little confusing but it's really fun and exciting to go for a small hike and explore the area. It's much larger than it looks. The Mai Tapa Trail was very long and exhausting so maybe don't attempt it in hot weather like we did! Or at least take water with you ahah

  • Evie De Laine

This is a great park, my toddler really enjoys it. There are sand play areas, castles to climb up, a flying fox and swings and a slide. Probably a bit more suited to older children but the nature based aspect of this park had my son really interested. He played with sticks and in the rocky areas and in the sand. There are toilets here, and the grounds are clean and well kept. Only problem is your up quite high and exposed to wind and weather, not nice when its cold!

  • Michelle Liew

Huge park, many walking and biking trails with different difficulties. Paths are wide and easy for walking. The ruin on hilltop is great for viewing at the surrounding suburbs. Views from the dam along the porosa hike is nice, too. Recreation area with playground that has many things to play. There's toilets, barbeque areas and a nice garden. Great place for family gatherings and to view the sunset with a largely open grassland area.

  • Janos Veresbaranji

Something for everyone. The is green and well maintained lawn, a nice playground with plenty of seating, half under shelter the others shaded by trees. a small childrens garden and play area. It is a fully equipped and there is enough off-street parking. Beginners to professionals push bike tracks are to the north (Peddlers Paddock) and walking tracks to the east. The actual creek is about a kilometre to the north/north east.

I luv this place. I enjoy walking the trails. I highly recommend the Valley circuit & Porosa hike, the scenery is spectacular. Walkers be careful on the Babblar loop, I've nearly been hit a couple of times, by over enthusiastic mountain bikers. I wear Hi Viz, gives me a better chance of being seen. Fantastic place to walk the dog. Trails could be sign posted better. An excellent place to chill out & enjoy the peace & quiet.

  • Dilshad Samina Soha

A very big beautiful recreation place for all ages. It has a very beautiful playground with lots of options. Has a beautiful garden, and bird watching places. You can hear birds chirping. Beautifully decorated picnic area. Has bbq facilities. Tables, shaded area, washroom. Very near to car park. Also it has several tracks for cycling, walking tracking. And while doi6this activities, you will enjoy the vast beauty of nature

  • Rebecca Gogovcev

Nice walking trails not too far from civilisation. Dogs on leash are welcome too, which my dogs really enjoyed. A nice children's playground, a bbq and picnic area and toilets make it a good place for a family day out. Nice biking trails too if you're into that kind of thing. The only down side is the constant noise of traffic takes away from the whole relaxing nature walk feel but you can't have everything I guess !

  • Kratzy76au

The great outdoors, unisex Ambulant toilet facilities, BBQ, pet friendly as water tabs for your pets, sand pits, nature playground, picinc ares on grass and table/seating arrangements. Great for families, schools and childcare for excursions. Bonus BMX/scooter close to playground along with mountion bike trails and walking trails to various locations in the Cobbler Creek Recreation Park for beginners to experience.

  • Amy Savage

Not a traditional playground per se, but good nonetheless. I wouldn't recommend for children under the age of 4. Lots of climbing and exploring to be had by children above this age. Currently has a large behive in one of the trees on a lower level, so something to be aware of. There are also no bins so if you plan to eat or do any other activities that generate rubbish I would suggest packing a plastic bag.

  • Adam Connell

Nice place for a walk or bike ride with with well kept trails. Good place to see some wildlife which is great for the area. Some trails are more challenging than others depending on what you are after. Be nicer if some people would clean up after their dogs though, especially on the trails themselves or if there were more facilities to deal with it, then it would be 5 stars easily.

  • Carol Innes

We love our daily walks with our dog through the natural scrubland. There are many different walking trails and you can vary the time you spend on a daily basis. Long and short it has it all and our dog loves her walk. We meet a lot of people who mostly are walking their dogs and it is generally provides a lovely social outing for both us and our dog. We are so lucky to live here.

  • Gavin Meredith

Good place for a short walk through some nice and varied scenery, with a range of difficulties and lengths. There aren't any massive walks, but you can string a few together to get a few hours of walking in. Keep in mind you'll usually be sharing the tracks with bike riders, however I haven't had any issues with this so far as the shared paths are wide enough for everyone.

  • Jaime Turner

Very nice place to visit, good range of trails from single tracks through to double tracks, weaving all over the park and through some under road tunnels, nice additions lately with the mountain bike track with wall ride and jumps etc and new playground with toilets is very good too, new extra carpark was needed, on busy days this place does fill up quickly...

  • From Adelaide

Beware of bees and wasps. This is a great playground, theres nothing really like it out this side of town, but if you're nervous about your child having a fall and breaking a bone this is not the playground for you. Do not bring food with you unless you want to be attacked by bees and wasps. They are relentless and will not give up until you run for your life

  • Robi Islam

Good location for picnic. Everything is so natural. Few tables and shades for organising a birthday party or some kind of celebration. There are trails for walk and bike ride. Fantastic!
Playground
Some activities are there. Slide, swing, sand pit, some small towers for getting up.
Restrooms
Couple of restrooms which I found neat and clean.

  • David Kittel

This is fantastic! It has it all for a day out doors with family or on your lonesome! From walking trails, children's scooter park, incredible play ground, extensive lawns, maintained restrooms, down hill bike tracks with jumps, BBQ's, shade and seating, numerous car parks. The lost goes on and on! WE WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK FOR MORE HERE!

  • Shafaq Akbari

The place is beautiful, it has long walk, a playground for thr kids with great equipments for all aged kids and the bike trail or walk trail is truly great. The path goes in a loop so you end where you started. We went with our kids and it was lots of fun but more importantly being in nature and having family time was just precious!

Great reserve area perfect for the kids has a playground area with a large lawn area and toilet block with a disability toilet. BBQ facilities there also. Some great walking tracks and bike tracks all located in a close suburban area North of Adelaide. Disability access. No bins take your rubbish wish you.

  • Janet’s Journey

A spot that caters for all. Walking/hiking trails surrounding the playground park. Car parking near the playground or surrounding the park as well. The playground has a small kids area, bigger kids area and sand pits. Plenty of space for picnics and also bbq facilities. Toilets could do with a good clean.

  • Aidan Toonen

This place is excellent for walking around. I have been here many times both day and night. If you look enough you might find the old magical man. If you please him... He will give you a few of his magic beans. The beans are much worth what he asks you to do. They are the reason I wake up in the morning.

  • Super Smashleee

Fantastic park, with lots of walking/bike tracks, absolutely beautiful view from the top of the hill and nice little creek at the bottom :) the playground area is great for kids and a bbq, great place to take the dogs too, they love the big walk and the chance to explore. All in all, fantastic reserve!

  • Alex Chaney

Great MTB Park and general bbq area and playground for kids. MYB trails have a mix of beginner to experienced tracks. Babblers track goes up the top of the hill with one of my favourite downhill tracks in the 'green' category. Solid work out on the climb. Has water fountain and toilets making it a +

  • Randell Monaghan

Would love to see this place when it's a bit greener, always seems super dry. With that said great place to ride a MTB
Playground
Loads of play stuff for the kids.

Dog-friendliness

  • Andriy Klimenko

Are you a bicycle rider? Mountain or BMX? Have kids as well?!.. and have some fresh mince for bbq?? So you are in the right place given vast cross-country hills for challenging you riders skills along with kids playground with all the facilities one could expect for more lay back time on weekends.

  • Nikki Kay

Such a beautiful piece of Aussie bush right in the middle of the suburbs, it's huge. My kids and I built a tree house hidden away in the thick vegetation, and if we sit up in it quietly at dusk we see so much wildlife, kangaroos, foxes, possums and even a koala!!! I love it here!

  • Mark McIntosh

Could do with a lot of trees being planted in the mountain bike trail area, but has great pump track and playground for the kids. A few covered picnic areas, BBQ and toilets are a bonus. Make sure you bring a garbage bag to take your rubbish with you as there is no garbage bins

  • Matthew Wilson

Great park with tons to do for various ages. Kids playground, nature play, walking trails, bike tracks and a little kids bmx style skate park. Bring bikes, scooters or skates for the trails, or sit in one of the many covered benches and watch children play and discover nature.

  • Kay Hamilton

Wonderful place, plenty of walking trails most are loop, have a playground, toilets with wheelchair access, mountain bike tracks and jumps, off main road but you feel like your in the bush, variety of birds some wild flowers, seats along tracks to rest, great views, off road parking.

  • Cato Kolomitsev

Sick. Nearly broke my jaw here, it was awesome. also can there be more riders only trails, the walkers are too slow, no offence to walkers or anything, just be aware of flow trails like short and sweet and super d, people will ride fast, and they will expect you to give way

  • David Bailey

Loved Cobbler Creek on a short walk. Experience Australian nature, birds, eucalypts, and peace and quiet. Ehjoyed seeing young people learning on bikes on paths set up for them, and more experienced riders on other paths. Toilets, new playground, shade, really good place

  • Riley Thring

Great to see the last remaining urban ecosystem being cared for. Particularly being the home to the largest remnant Mallee Box. There should be more signage to keep Mountain Bike riders off tracks they are not supposed to ride along. Great public playground with toilets.

  • WIMake II

So surprised by the way this area is laid out, certainly excels in such a simple experience. I have not visited a lot of walking trails in SA, mostly in WA and the experience is really good in comparision. Will be good to try more in the same area and maybe elsewhere.

  • Amanda J

Beautiful Australian Scrub with winding dusty trails. Plenty to photograph and look at. Lovely views. Great walks and cycling. Nice picnic spots and private places to sit. Amazing this park is in the middle of suburbia. The Aerosol Art piece was an awesome find!

  • Daniel Forsyth

Nice little playground with sand play, flying fox and slides ect. Has a nice little nature walk off to the side of the playground with toilets close by & that is not to mention cobbler Creek down hill Mountain bike / hiking trail to the other side.. …

  • Catherine Hynds

Favourite walking place. Many route options and spectacular views through beautiful native gum trees and scrub. Often graced with the presence of kangaroos and koalas. Thanks to the Friends of Cobbler Creek for the upkeep on this sensational location.

  • Cécile Rousseau

Amazing place where you can walk in nature with your little ones. I really likes that there is different paths for walkers and bikes ! Beautiful surroundings and a playground very well taking care of with educative stuff as well for the older kids !

Great fun, lots of bike tracks for all skill levels. A great playground with clean toilets near by, under cover picnic tables and x2 BBQ's available a large grass area and lots of walking trails, also a small bitumized track suitable for scooters.

  • DEAN ANV

This is a beautiful park,I always bring my daughter here and she loves the play space and nature , lots of walking trails but I should add watch out for the snakes, I have personally been chased by brown snake. Other than that it's fantastic.

  • Kamil Z

Really good modern playground with swings, flying fox and sandpit having few extra tools. Probably kids 4y+ can get more out of it, but younger will find something interesting too. Picnic area and public toilets adjusted to the playground.

  • Mj Core

Fantastic playground with great views. However the toilets were very messy lack toilet paper, and there are no bins near the bbq or anywhere I could see besides the hygiene units in the toilets that were overflowing with general waste.

  • Nicholas Gerald van Holst Pellekaan

I'd still pick Fox Creek first, but definitely a great place to ride. A lot more rocks, but the builders out there have put in a lot of time and effort and should be rightly proud of the result. Lots of low hanging trees.... Take care

  • Stuart Knappstein

Great shared walking and mountain bike trails. Large network for biking and the climbs are not brutal. You can spend hours here grinding away on the bike. Really good beginners loop for the kids to get a taste of single track riding.

  • Nick Geue

There is literally something for everone. Bush walks, advanced mtb trails ,beginer trails and a pump track. Suitable for scooters or small bikes. Love this place. Almost forgot the play ground is great for the little ones …

  • Bradley Mackintosh

This was very fun. The accompanying playground wasn't worth the effort but the bike tracks were very well designed and a fun way to waste a bit of time and get some exercise. Low to moderate levels of fitness required.
