Very very expensive. Ordered cheese bacon and fried tomato roll, cost me $11.50! With no coffee or drinks. Yet, the morning glory roll, which has kransky, fried eggs, cheese, hash brown, onion rings, bbq sauce and comes with a coffee was $12.50??? How does my order cost almost the same as something with all that on it?? The lunch pack, was even more amusing price wise...see attached picture....$50 for 2 burgers , 2 chips and 2 cans!!! Is there lobster on those burgers!!! Jesus!! Won't be going back here. In response to the owners reply- there was no mistake, that's what I ordered and how much I was charged!! I was too shocked at the time to bother questioning it, and my comments still stand, they are not "inappropriate " at all, that's what reviews are for, to tell others your thoughts and experiences. I won't be coming back or requesting a refund. As for your lunch deal, I still think, that $50 is EXPENSIVE for 2 burgers, chips and 2 cans of drink. Oh and now you doubt I have even been in the shop? Ha ha ha ok.....I've attached a pic of my bank transactions showing the price I originally mentioned for my cheese, bacon and tomato roll..... End of story , my review and comments still stand, I don't want my money back, I WONT BE COMING BACK. The End.

We miss the old owners, Rita and her family. Today we waited for one hour for our meal, so we chose to get a refund. The girl who gave our refund stated “Im not sure how that happened”, as she scrambled through the various order receipts. The service here is terrible, a few tables came and ordered quite sometime after us and got their food before us, I over-heard a lady who walked past our table saying to her friend that the workers lost their order, another table hardly touched anything on their sharing platter for two as there was something wrong with it, and the table next to theres had finished but the waitress’ didnt bother cleaning it up, as an elderly couple sat there for a while waiting for their order to come, which they finally then cleared that table up, once they got their food. Mind you this place wasnt overly busy either, and they had about 5-6 staff on from what we could see. Such a shame, as we went there for brunch for my Fiancés birthday. We definitely wont be going back, as it also didnt have that “friendly and welcoming” vibe.

Absolutely loved this cafe. The food, the staff and the service was impeccable. We ordered the Açai waffles, Big breakfast and the Chicken Schnitzel burger with chips. The Açai waffles were so delicious and refreshing and was beautifully presented. A favourite on the menu for sure. The Big breakfast was a classic, a generous serving of hot, tasty food and the chicken schnitzel burger was also very enjoyable and filling to eat. For the drinks we ordered a banana and honey smoothie, iced long black and a freshly squeezed juice with apple, orange and pineapple. The drinks were all so delicious and we enjoyed it accompanied with the meal. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are friendly and welcoming. On arrival, we were given table water and time for us to choose what we wanted on the menu. Will be back again with family and friends. P.S The Cafe is no longer a deli and has been under new management for 2 months now:)

Very impressed by the Genuine effort made to make me feel welcome by Rita & staff..I only dropped in to grab a drink because I was passing by for work..but I walked out of there feeling good..thinking that there is hope for humanity & customer service..so much so..I'm hoping to spend my hard earned money here anytime I'm in the area.. businesses like this deserve the support...because you can grab a bite anywhere ..but not everywhere are you going to walk out the store feeling blessed and connected to who you just gave your money to and trusted with your morning or lunch experience to..too many times these days as a tradie eating lunch all over Sydney you walk away from a cafe, food shop etc like another number, over charged for a pretty average meal..looking forward to pass by again during lunch hours and try Lugarno deli cafe food...and if it's for some reason average on the day...if the hospitality is the same when I return ..it would still be money well spent

Utterly incompetent staff, got half the orders wrong. We asked for a sandwich, she brought out an open melt with different ingredients than ordered… other people who had come more than 15 minutes after us receiving hot chips which we too had ordered and not yet received. Dirty cups (not the first time this has happened) Impatient wait staff when we finally got their attention. Otherwise fairly oblivious to customers About three different staff bringing out food, no idea who things were for so they practically dumped the orders at the table. Had to ask for water and one 3/4 full small bottle brought out for 6 people… Place was not full /packed to have such a lack of attention to detail and lack of customer service. Male staff were nice but everyone just seemed flustered causing myself and the people I was with some anxiety. Overall not a good experience which is a shame because the correct food that arrived was great!

I’ve been in this country for over 2 years and never ever found any place as great as this ! I am working in Lugarno for a couple of weeks and every single day I go pass this place , stopping here is a must! Starting from the simple and beautiful environment , staff is the most friendly and lovely people ever , they’re always smiling and checking on you and interacting with clients . Food is incredibly tasty, I’ve tried different pastries and rolls and everything is delicious . If there was an option of giving 100 stars I’d definitely do it . If you are around the area I highly recommend coming to this lovely place to enjoy one of their amazing dishes !! Thanks again

Edit 2: gave them another shot and glad we did, the food was excellent. Service was very prompt. Staff are friendly and polite. Edit: changing my review after a very disappointing experience on 2/1. Waited over 35 mins for a meal that they said would take 15-20. The staff were apologetic and offered free water, but they’re clearly not managing and should have given us a proper estimation of how long it would be. Despite this, I will come back again as the food is nice. Had a lovely breakfast here. Food was very good, service was friendly and prompt. Coffee was great.

Waitresses were wonderful. Coffee was good. We had poached eggs and bruschetta salsa wasn’t dressed way too much onion . I had a gift voucher that was donated by the owner which it clearly said breakfast for two to the value of $50 when we ordered it was only to the value of $33 she wouldn’t even through the coffee in to bring the value up to $50 I thought it was quite unfair very sneaky charged us just for every other possible thing you can imagine. They have been many complaints about how sneaky they can be. Couldn’t be bothered to even complain. Why even give a gift voucher if you are not going to honor it. Will never go back again

I don't often fill all the "star" boxes but on this occasion I think it's more than apt! Jordan, the owner, proudly displays a large sign behind the counter explaing why not just his, but ANY business succeeds when CASH is used! Super friendly service, terrific food and a Cafe that attracts a huge weekend crowd!! External seating available in the morning sun and an exuberant atmosphere make this little Cafe a must if you're in the area!!

Wrong details on the dish, refund was wrong amount. Waited for food at unclean table for 20 minutes and was told to order something else because they’ve run out of food. So we decided to leave. When we told the waitress that we are cancelling the order, she drops the menu on our table, rolls her eyes and walks away. How can she chuck an attitude when they didn’t even inform us that the food we ordered wasn’t available. It was fantastic when it was run by the previous owner. We will NEVER go back there again. Horrible joint!!! Be warned.

I went to buy some Deli meat today and the lady, who seemed to be the manager, asked what I would like to order but then also asked the two customers who arrived after me as well and she then served them first. I do think it is not okay to serve customers first who arrive after you and it doesn't matter what has been ordered. The manager was also very bossy and rude to the other staff, which is absolutely disrespectful and not okay to behave like this in front of customers. I definitely will not be returning!

Honestly the food and coffee was ok but the service was just unacceptable, I may understand that the workers might be flat out but you can’t have 5 people who line up outside the door waiting 20 minutes just to get served. PLEASE PRIORITISE SERVICE, if I had given people the service I have received from here I would’ve been fired within a day. If you want serve the customers just hire more people

Rita from Lugarno Deli Cafe created a beautiful Father’s Day antipasto box delivery for my dad who is currently in lockdown. The presentation and quality of food included was amazing and she even went to the trouble of finding out dads favourite variety of wine to include. Highly recommend this local business and the lovely Rita who was easy to deal with and very responsive. Hard to find this type of product in the area and it’s a great find.

This cafe attached to the local Lugarno Deli serves yummy breakfasts, lunches and makes really good coffee. They have an extensive and varied menu with reasonable prices. The service is always good. The seating is outside the Deli and spreads across the sidewalk, so you do get the passing traffic of shoppers walking by, sometimes amongst the tables which is a bit distracting, but it's a lovely local cafe for a delicious bite to eat.

Maria, that is the furtherest thing from the truth. Clearly you are the type of person that tries to taint this persons business. I f you had a complaint why wouldn't you have gone to speak to the manager like a normal person wood. Every time time I have been there the food has always been amazingly fresh and the coffee just as great. I'll be there tomorrow with my two mates from the Northern Beaches that's how good that place is.

Just tried this place for the first time. We had the deli stack , minus the balsamic glaze and asked to have holandise sauce on the side. The meals were delicious, poached eggs runny how we like it. Coffee 10/10 and very friendly service. Thank you Rita for making us feel welcomed. Great food, coffee and service. Wont disappoint!

Most staff were very welcoming. Management on the other hand, yelling at staff every chance she got. Threatening to sack a poor girl trying her best. Coffee was ok. I was advised that there was a minimum $10 eftpos charge & asked to add a bottle of water to my order of $8. Total charge ended up at $13 so I was charged $5 for a small bottle of water. Not any fancy water, just your standard elcheepo.

Slow plenty of time for this I've. Food is great but takes a long time to come out

Went in there the other morning for breakfast got egg benedict with salmon. Salmon must have been out of date, it smelt like off ham. I couldn't make what it was. Disgusting. Price was ridiculous. Never go back again. Service was unprofessional and rude. Get out of Lugarno. You have ripped enough people off. Ps. Juices aren't juices. Out of the bottle special mixed.

As soon as I walked in I was welcomed with smiles and a warm atmorsphere. Staff were super friendly and their hospitality was 10/10. I had the big breakfast while my friend had the avocado special and both were amazing and delicious! I tried abit of my friends meal :) Coffee was beautiful and the cakes were devine. Recommend anyone to come and eat there :)

Excellent customer service from the staff to the owner. The food and coffee was amazing and my big brekky was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Lugarno Gourmet Deli Cafe. Thank you for a 10/10 experience on what was a miserable wet wintery morning.

In the entrance there's an award displayed and you can tell that's really and truly well deserved. Great service, food is delicious and on the money... or perhaps a bit more. A stop-over that you definitely won't regret!! It definitely ticked all my boxes and more!!!!

Such a great cafe! My daughter loves their Gluten Free pancakes with GF ice cream. I always get the truffle scrambled eggs on sourdough. No idea what else is on the menu, I can't look past that! Will continue to visit and recommend. Thank you!

I've been here a few times hoping that the quality of food and coffee would change. Too many inconsistencies. Although the quantity is huge for some dishes- the taste is lacking. Maybe they are tired? Could do with a new revised menu.
