"Coles mclaren Vale my favourite Coles shop"
"This is the higher end of Coles supermarkets"
"Staff as usual were efficient and friendly"
"They have 12 self checkouts and only 6 normal ones, of which only 2 or 3 are staffed"
"Coles usually leaves a few items out of my click and collect but today they left $40 worth of groceries out with ‘no substitutes available’ giving me no choice but to go into the store where I found all of the ‘unavailable items’"
Coles mclaren Vale my favourite Coles shop. 2nd visit. Still my favourite Coles today shelves not very full. Needs shade over car park and needs to sell pure cream not all thickened by such a large choice. Just a quick shop before Easter. PURE CREAM PLEASE. A shop trip on a Sunday. Still my favourite Coles but today it was an absolute disaster. They have decided to move the shop around so not only were the shelves empty but aisles full of staff packing and unpacking and customers wandering around trying to find items. TOTAL DISASTER and not necessary. If they must change the whole shop around then arrange for night fills, it gets bad enough with the normal trolleys staff use for on line shoppers, without staff filling shelves and customers trying to reach things. SORRY COLES NOT GOOD ENOUGH . If I can't shop comfortably at Coles then I'm going to go elsewhere. Your customers SHOULD come FIRST.
This is the higher end of Coles supermarkets. Far better range than at its poor relations in Noarlunga, etc. But you do pay a lot more. It now has competition from Romeo's Foodland, with similar higher prices than its slum cousins ie Morphettvale. A great place to shop if you don't need to save on the pennies. the Bread selections are excellent. The only fault I could find is they often run out of Ciabatta bread. I solved this by making my own. 3 stars for value for money, but 5 stars for presentation and variety.
Staff as usual were efficient and friendly. I used the 12 items or less checkout and was disappointed at being held up more than was reasonable. Not for the first time the assistant was managing not just her checkout but also the cigarette and general enquiries desk. It's not a good look in my opinion to have a line of 4-5 customers looking for a reasonably quick sale only to be held up by tobacco addicts! Not happy and would certainly consider alternatives when intending to buy only a few items!
They have 12 self checkouts and only 6 normal ones, of which only 2 or 3 are staffed. The waiting times are too long and I often get directed to the self checkout which I refuse to use. They also don’t stock very basic items a home cook needs (potato starch for example is not available, only standard flour, etc.) The meat selection is basic - if you look for anything out of the ordinary, you need to go elsewhere (e.g. liver, etc.). Overall, a store that I now only use when absolutely necessary.
Coles usually leaves a few items out of my click and collect but today they left $40 worth of groceries out with ‘no substitutes available’ giving me no choice but to go into the store where I found all of the ‘unavailable items’. Shouldn’t be allowed to take any money from people until the order is packed and complete. The utter laziness from staff clearly not looking for items properly is appalling.
Great selection prices good friendly service, unfortunately as usual lots of staff stocking up and no one on main tills, just self check or 12 items or less available . A real pain if you have a full week's worth of shopping. Took me ages to get through the self serve with lots of errors. Coles Mclaren Vale really needs to look into this if it wants return business. Would of got 5stars if tills open
We like the trading hours, ease of finding our way around the store. Staff have been helpful/friendly on most occasions. Isle signage could be improved for newcomers to better indicate what is stocked there before entering a particular isle. Self service checkout is generally trouble free. The recent opening of a competitor store has not appeared to have too much impact.
My local Coles supermarket but I won't shop here any more as shelves are always empty. Don't say it's because of supply as Coles at Southgate has full shelves and staff continually stocking them and their meat counter has plenty of variety. So sad to travel further afield but I have no other choice.
It is no longer our preferred store. Coles decided to copy ALDI by sacking butchers etc. Looking at the meat section for example does not install confidence in Coles any longer. Coles could have avoided the current problem by getting a good CEO and by sourcing more goods locally.
I live at Seaford Meadows and Have 2 Woolworths and Foodland and Aldi but skip all of them just to go to Mclaren Vale Coles its fantastic nice new clean and always have what i want and they are so quick to open checkouts when busy. LOVE IT wouldn't shop anywhere else
Typical Coles supermarket with standard options. This Coles is within walking distance of the Oaks hotel options which is ideal for those staying in a serviced apartment who might feel the need to cook their own meals. Ample parking and sizeable fresh food section.
Was in line to a lady on registers who thought it was more important to talk to the customer about every product and family life instead of serving others. It was quicker for me to change registers and still got it before she finished her chatting session.
Great parking spaces. Nice big store with great selection of fruit and veg, deli items and meat with goods always kept stocked. Staff are always very friendly, especially deli-counter staff. Store is bright and clean also. Seems like a well managed store.
Great selection for a country supermarket. Has everything I need.. much prefer travelling there from seaford heights for my Sunday shop. A bit more relaxed and slower pace which is warming and comforting.
starting with easy parking, shopping trolleys clean and available the store was designed very well designed where things ought to be thanks to the management on top of that the staff were very helpful
Coles, my friendly store. Helpful staff are pleasant at all times. The shop is kept immaculate with shelves usually well stocked at all times. I have never had cause to complain. Regards. Kay Boggust
Very good store. Isles are big, there's room to move, and you don't get static shock from touching trolleys and shelves. They have a great selection of groceries and always good special.
Probably the best stocked Coles in the area, not too many product gaps and not too much Coles brand. Does not have the best selection of alternative brands but not as bad as others too.
Reduced staffed checkouts and replaced with long-belt self serve checkouts - always a wait to be served unless you want to do your full trolley yourself... Which is ridiculous.
Christine from night fill was extremely unhelpful, rude and unprofessional when asked to locate items. How do you not know when you’re entire adult career is in a supermarket?
Getting worse and worse, I have noticed in the past few weeks that Cole's have been putting up the prices on a LOT OF ITEMS, maybe time to check out woollies & foodland !!!
Bit more expensive than other Coles. Why??.....hmmm. Huge store! If you can't find what you're looking for (as in food stuffs, bits n pieces), it probably doesn't exist.
Always travelled from seaford to mclarenvale Coles for their delicious bakery bread..But lately it is stale tasting when I defrost it..What has changed..Change it back
This is my favourite Coles store by far. Friendly staff, always have the products I'm after and I never have to line up and wait at the registers to be served.
Beautiful location and store is brand new so nicely layout clean vibrant store lots off variety markdown items much prefer it over Aldinga Beach store
Great supermarket. Wide isles. Never too crowded with a county feel. Far better experience to the normally overcrowded Coles in more build up areas.
My daughter would normally use a different coles for click and collect . She found ours had fresher food better quality more often and friendlier .
A nice, big Coles store. But get prepared for a long wait at the checkout - every time I shop here they never have enough checkouts open.
Sam, the check-out-chick Marshall was very helpful and I appreciated her help enormously because I couldn't understand the new system.
Good variety of fresh foods and bakery items etc. meats and plenty of room to get around the shop as well as plenty of parking spaces.
This store is a lovely clean laid out store. Staff are friendly. I went out of my way today to go there to do my shopping …
Have always found Coles a great place to shop looking for top quality Restaurant quality steak this is the place to go
I was in the area working, so found it easy to get to, to get my basic supplies. It's a big store with a lot to offer.
Busy. Only 3 checkouts open. Had to use self service with young kids and full basket. A real hassle. Pretty annoying.
Good variety and very organised Coles. Well located in McLaren Vale, lucky they have no competitors around that area.
It is a good Supermarket, has everything.Very clean. The best in the Southern Area's.Woolworths should get some tips.
Big store with a lot of products. A couple items I like weren’t available including pepsi light (caffeine and
Great bakery deli and butcher section friendly and fast checkout staff large well setout self checkout area
Coles at McLaren Vale is quiet large, so has a large variety of groceries. Staff are very friendly also.
I find it frustrating when stock on top shelves not moved forward. Being height deprived is an issue.
Good selection of food, cleaning, electrical, toiletries, etc at competitive prices and helpful staff
Large store with a good selection of local produce as well as the usual range you expect from Coles.
A few weeks ago checked opening hours for Sunday it said 6pm. Arrived today at 5.1p theyre shut5.10
Christine was incredibly helpful and I would recommend the McLaren Vale Coles Supermarket to all.
Huge store. You can find almost all your grocery needs. A lot of gluten free products available.
I find Coles at Mclarenvale is a great place to shop as good as anywhere else that I would shop
Big location with plenty of selection. Staff was more than happy to help me find what I needed.
Worst fresh produce I've ever seen. Who ever the manager is of this store should be sacked.
Clean, friendly, well stocked, prices as you would expect from Coles... Very reasonable..
I would like to say how it was hard for me to find anything in stores. What can be done
This would have the best range of any Coles store around, always clean an well stocked
Good staff good prices. The kids love the little buttons that make farm animal noises
It's a good store, but Coles seem to be cutting back on staff and it's disappointing
Food shopping is spread out n just as petrol is at least coming down in pricesP0
A lot better since the last time i shopped self's all full plenty to choose from
Coles Mclaren Vale is a wonderful new store. A really nice shopping experience.
Fairly new supermarket with a decent deli and produce section. Friendly staff.
A good grocery store with wide isles. Stock most pantry items you would need.
a good coles not big never to crowd easy parking good exit set up no waiting
It's a typical Coles. They don't take covid seriously as nowhere to sign in.
For a Coles, we'll laid out and after supply chain issues... well stocked
My local and weekly shopping spot. Always satisfied with the service : )
Very Clean Store, Shelves are Stocked too. Xxx Great Flowers …
One of the best Coles I've been to, fresh bakery section, huge store.
Friendly staff and the well priced products almost always in stock.
Nice range, the trolley is at Lakeside McLaren Vale Caravan park
Great customer service in the aisle what I couldn't looking for
Very poorly stocked shelves. Checkout staff very professional.
Difficult to find anything. Big store but not getting excited
Very good service, from the Bakery and check-out lady- Cass
