Saturday evening 5/3/2022 718pm 1. L’Or Espessso Supreme 20 pack on Special with ticketed tag of $8.65 Scan error and came up at $12.50. Referred to Coles staff and showed the store in-charge at the time at 718pm where the ticketed price tag was on the shelf. He agreed and told the self service assistance to key in the amount. I told him the item should now be free as per Coles scan error pricing policy. He dismissed me and “said only if you have PAID for it. You haven’t paid for it”. He dismissed me rudely, removed the “Special” ticketed price tag and walked off. I spoke to another staff and quoted Coles’ scan error Policy. She agreed and proceeded to honour one item (I bought multiple) which was the correct policy. The in-charge needs to be informed and told of the policy. Please identify him and ensure he is properly trained before he is put in-charge of a very busy store in Waterloo. 2. Coles Roast chicken It was completely tasteless and not seasoned. It tasted horrible. You need to give this feedback to the Deli operator. Apart from that, the staff are always very friendly - Jack, Suryani, Vonny. I look forward to your response.

The coles staff inside are very courteous but I had one staff at the counter that he wasn't from the area and he was the rudest staff I have experience at coles for years , if they don't want to relief other staff he better not come in to the store with such a bad attitude, I ended up asking for the manager which not in in today but spoke to a nice inside staff that he also was from another store but very good attitude he heard my complaint and told me he was going to pass the feedback to management I know most of the staff at the store and are very nice ,but today need it some item that I forgot to buy online as I do most of my buy online, and encounter the rudest staff member , I wasn't going to let him been rude to me so I told him to have a better attitude with costumer .. if he is so unhappy to work at coles get out and give the benefit to another person that really need a job .. very disappointed with the treatment at the counter today ...

Ordered pork, chicken and celery among other things on click & collect, direct to boot. First off the guy didn't actually deliver it to the open boot, and we have to get out and pick it up from the trolley and put it in the boot. Checked what they gave us, no pork, chicken or celery. Coles employee says they have none available. Look in the bag again and discover celery has been replaced with pre-sliced packaged celery, so clearly they had celery but have cut up the bunch I ordered to be used to fill multiple orders. Go upstairs to the Coles physically and lo and behold, pork and chicken available in store. What is the point of this useless click and collect when they don't socially distance, don't give you your actual order and make you go in store because they're too dodgy and cheap to be honest with you. Never coming back.

Shopping there on Monday 24/4/2023@7.40am , i asked a tem member the location of mustard pickles. He was standing at the front of the aisle and directed me to the product. At the time a person operating the large cleaning machine ran straight over my right foot causing a great deal of pain. Neither the operator or the staff member said or did anything. I asked to speak to the manager who I was informed by this greying haired pony tailed man that she wasnt in. I then made my way to the cash register where i explainef the incident to a helpful young asian woman who took my details and referred it to her supervisor an uninterested man called Prince. The cashier said that the manager would call me as soon as she came in approx 8.45am. Three days later i am still yet to receive a call from Coles. Poor form Coles.

I don't have much that is good left to say about Coles Waterloo anymore. I used to shop here and liked the store fine enough but they sold me a hacked gift card (with no receipt in the bag) and refused to refund the money I paid for it because a hacker spent the money on the card before I had even got home. At least Amazon took action against the hacker; Coles refused to assist. I would not trust this store for gift cards and I don't give them any rating for customer care either after that experience. If I could give them no stars I would for their dishonest dealings. You are better off shopping at Aldi across the road where there are better deals on organic products and which is where I prefer to shop.

My wife was physically pushed from her mobility scooter this afternoon, not two metres from the Coles entrance. The man had an obvious psychiatric disorder, and I instinctively pushed him away from my wife. He ranted at her for no reason, and then ranted at an Asian man (-my wife is Asian) before wandering off, in no hurry. I, on the other hand, rushed to the security guard standing in front of Coles. He said it was not his job, and that I would have to contact "Centre Management", but wouldn't show me where they were, and he made no attempt to assist. Please be careful in the area, especially if you are by yourself, because sadly, you will have to defend yourself.

Extremely negative click and collect experience. The address is absolutely wrong, there is no way you can find the spot where you can collect your order according to the address provided by Coles. Coles owns large part of the building but the correct address for order collection is the parking building located at the side street. Parking bay of click and collect is very small even for small cars. Shockingly, the delivery staff asked me to sign and passed me a pen and paper , which probably have been used my dozens other people, that makes contactless shopping useless. Dear Coles Waterloo manager, please use your brain !

Very few healthy options in their pre-prepared meals. Everything is 'creamy this' and 'creamy that'. Often has milk that only has a 4 or 5 day remaining life. eg skim milk bought on 20/12 with a use by date of 24/12! Also try to trick you into buying stale bread by mixing up fresh and old loaves in the same shelves. It's very hard to tell just using the 'best before' as these are different for different types of bread. They should clearly identify the fresh bread and give a discount on old milk of 10% off for each day less than 10 days remaining shelf life.

I call in here for specific things that I can't get at my other Supermarket. It stocks most things that any other Coles has. Fresh produce is of a large variety. Freshly baked breads and cakes. Small Deli section. Aisles are wide and easy to get around. Self service checkouts as well as "personed" checkouts. Great Friendly Helpful Staff. 04/02/2019. I asked a staff member if she could assist an Elderly Gentleman to find a certain type of milk. She didn't hesitate and walked with the customer to find exactly what he needed. Service is Alive and Well here.

Busy little shop.get there before 7 or the deli butcher's will be closed fruit and veg cleared be careful not to get knocked down by staff trolleys, biggest problem is.the night fill.how can you move about with so many trollleys, pallets on the shop floor its meant to be a pleasurable experience not a obstacle course if I wanted that I'd do Australia Spartan.don't ask for help as you'll bound to ping ponged from staff to staff. Worst bit check outs. Express, place can get busy but usually half express closed annoying and defeats the purpose

Today my girlfriend and i went to Coles to buy grocery's we bought some cheese and bread to make a sandwich for Breakfast, upon opening the cheese it was covered in mould, with the expire date of 5 of may. so i went back to Coles to show them and complain when I showed the person who was on the front desk, he took the product out of my hand, got some money from the cashier, gave me a refund and didnt even apologized or ask if I would like to make a complaint. Rude, dismissive worse customer service ever, no compassion for the clients.

This place needs an efficien t manager to pull the place together...we ll know that sometimes supplies are short but there are more gaps on shelves here than I've ever seen in any other supermarket. The general Iimpression is that if you don't get in before midday the meat shelves and many others will be half empty. The open frozen food cabinets are a mess. And a number of shelves don't have prices for items.Woolworrhs in Alexandria was a stark contrast ...fully stocked shelves, instantly being restocked by staff.

  • Jose Ronald CHAVEZ

I like the spacious gapping between aisles and shelves. Wide of products for brands and generic products. Good lightings and a whiter shades of the ceilings and floorings does make the place do look cleaner and we'll arrange.. More hours of operation. Till 12am midnight can be cozy for those very late shoppers in day. Lol. Just like me!! And lesser people, too.. do shop in those later times would a bit calming and easing from any thoughts of horrors brought by COVID 19 paranoid tendency..

  • Larry Coppin

2Hrs free parking is not long enough time to shop on the average I take 3 to to 3 1/2 hours to shop I like to look at things so I spend more my parking was $12.00 that is a lot for a pensioner on top of the groceries that cost a lot,I spent$187.00 and that has to last me for 2weeks so with parking as well that comes in at $199.45 that's nearly half of my pension.Westfield Eastgardens Pagewood give pensioners free parking And all the rest should follow suit.Larry Coppin

Listened to 3 staff members discussing how many shifts in a row they'd been working there as of today WITH COVID. The tally was 3, 6 and 8!! No wonder I keep getting COVID alerts when I've been in there. Was done in loud voices so I heard it from 5 metres away while they were stocking shelves. This is what happens when living with COVID is normalised by our wonderful government and big business takes full advantage. Excellent. Shop there with extreme caution.

  • Shally Smith

this is definitely one of the worst coles in sydney and an embarrassment to the brand. product offering is limited compared to a typical store, and fruit/veg freshness is based on luck. customer service is non-existent and god forbid ask one for help. they will talk down to you, especially the short stumpy "rohan" . avoid this place for your shop and spend that extra time to go to nearby zetland instead.

  • Lachlan Gingell

This is my local grocer. Always very clean and staff are quick to serve you and answer questions. When people went nuts and emptied the shelves because of covid (idiots...), they were very quick to restock and have the store looking serviceable again. Parking onsite provides easy and fast access to the grocer. There is a 'no right turn' in front of it that really bugs me but that is not coles' fault.

  • Brandon N

Just your average local Coles not overly new but the layout is simple with a customer able to do their shopping quickly and breeze through the self checkout. Parking sometimes can be a bit annoying as it's mostly on street and limited but if you're doing a big shop you usually live close to the complex. They do put some of the fruits and veggies away early but it does get quiet.

  • Shakti Ram

This place is hit and miss always has things out of stock. It's always out of stock on key things by 7. 00 and it is a regular occurrence. The staff can be loud and rude.. Especially the team at evening /night so avoid . Starts to get busy between 3.00 and 7.00. Always expect to line up in the assisted check out. Honestly the management here needs to be improved!!terrible

  • oles yurakov

I had a very unpleasant experience today visiting coles in waterloo. I didn't wear a mask because i wasn't aware it was a new requirement. And the person (one of the stuff members at the entrance) was very rude and immature in the way he let me know about it. Very disrespectful. You don't talk like that to customers in any store..

  • Slick Rick

This coles is busy. Seems to be consistently stocked up and getting through the checkouts is always quick n easy. In terms of customer service, Coles Waterloo has proven to be consistent over a number of years. They've always remedied whatever issue I might have raised. On an everyday level, always pleasant and helpful.

  • David Bremner

What can you say, it’s a supermarket chain. They constantly move products around so you can’t find what you’re looking for, they stock toilet paper in super packs of 36 (despite the area being home to singles and couples who do daily convenience shops), they bait price and the baby spinach only ever seems to last a day

  • Thimitra Kallaras

This store is making many mistakes with reduced items, charging people the full amount. The Asian lady manager was not very apologetic about the $17 over charge on the reduced lamb. It's not the first time we've been overcharged. It's very easy to blame the computers when it's the humans making the mistakes.

  • Virginia Phillips

We have been shopping here now for 10 years, can purchase just about anything we need and the staff everywhere, the Deli, Service Desk, Butcher, Baker and Checkouts have been wonderful, Shaun is an extremely pleasant fellow along with the others, just thought I should congratulate them after all this time.

  • Laurence Owen

This place is the pits. The freezers have been broken and frosted since they place opened two decades ago. $15 for defrosted and refrozen Ben & Jerrys is a joke. Have reported as other have and it's never been fixed. The department of health should investigate the risk to refreezing some of the foods.

  • Ed SL

WARNING! Those bagged vegetables that claim to be "Washed and Ready to eat" are not - please wash them before use to avoid problems. This is what I got yesterday and I had thrown out black/dirt bits before the photo was taken - not the first time this happens so I thought I'd better warn others

  • Blake Pulman

This Coles is just like any other Coles really. A fully functional supermarket with an in-house bakery. The reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the lack of stock in the bakery, which is what I visited for. Aside from that, it's just as one would expect from a supermarket.

  • Helen Di Domenico

Small store but has everything you need. Nice to see a Christmas tree set up outside the store. Had to ask for assistance to find the gift cards as they weren't where I'd normally expect to see them - they were tucked to the left side of the cashiers on the wall there.

  • Z K

Decent sized Coles. Place is clean, staff are friendly and plenty of trolleys available. Just lacking a bit in baked goods when I was there. If you are coming by car you can find the entrance of the underground carpark at Crescent Street with 1.5 hours free parking.

  • Peter Kolonis

Good service, always stocked up, eastgardens is bigger but never stocked enough what I want, since they built the new meriton apartments,so disappointed that I have drive extra time for shopping from Kingsford to waterloo, anyway all worth it at the end.

  • Benjamin Foley

One of the better supermarkets in the area. They are few and far between nowadays but this Coles really hits the mark. Bread is always fresh large variety of fresh meat including game meats like kangaroo and even crocodile for the more adventurous...

  • Lex van Netten

Plenty of parking, well stocked shelves, loads of variety, and friendly staff. The service desk is blocked by product in the store though, meaning you have to go around to the front, which is inconvenient if you have a trolley or groceries already.

  • Alan Colton_072

Great supermarket which stays open late. But it looks like the hours may be shortened to 11pm close instead of it's original time of 12:00 midnight, which is a real shame if true. I'll update later when I know for sure what's happening. :Alan …

  • Tom Pacino

Incorrect opening times listed on Google Maps - the store now closes at 9PM. For a company of this size, quite disappointing, and frustrating given some of us like to shop when less people are out to minimise our exposure during COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Hernan Henriquez

I got threatened by a Cole's staff member I had put a complaint and will not go back to that supermarket again. Is not the 1st time I got bad customer service there. Better go to Cole's at zetland. Only a few blocks away and is much, much better

  • Dr Victor Bissett

Not enough serviced checkouts. I have Parkinson's. When I went to the checkout beside the tobacco counter, I was asked by young staff in the self service section.whether.i wanted tobacco products. I was.obliged to leave my items and go to Aldi.

  • Parbodh Chander Bali

Coles is our top choice for quality and affordability. While their prices may occasionally be slightly higher, the value for money is always there. Coles Waterloo, our nearest store, boasts a convenient ground-floor location, bustling with

Staff were friendly helpful considering it was 5minutes to closing, I had a problem with my credit card ( not enough money available) ran it twice third time I cancelled when I realised that maybe why it was declined. Told the lady on the

  • wendy tipper

Love coles waterloo customer service is good as well from your staff while I appreciate. most times have the groceries that I need and also great prices on our food we should have a Coles where our Woolworth is on charmers Street Redfern.

  • JJ Mac

The worst Coles ever. The useless self serve helpers do nothing and don't pay attention. The store has inflation prices and the only hard worker in that store is Jack who works at the front desk on late shift and at night you can forget

  • Miracle Miller

THIS PLACE AMAZES ME! The shelves are shocked well and so tidy! The service is great here especially the service area manager Shaun! Best coles I’ve been too!!! I’ve left feeling so happy and happy with my experience, thank you coles

  • Mark

While it's nice to have such a large selection, I just don't like the way that Coles organises it's stores. Milk on one side of the store and butter (another dairy item) on the total opposite side of the store !! Who does that ?!!

  • Noticed DC

Nice staff, huge selection and a pretty cool Oporto next to it. Overall a nice experience the only reason why I'm giving this 2 start rating is because I don't think it's very cool to have spiders all over the store.

  • Freesia Swerdlow

My favourite Cole's store in the city. Fresh food is just that, I can mostly always find everything I'm shopping for. And some of the staff are happy to be very helpful. ZETLAND COLE'S IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!

  • Sacheen Gallop

Even through the COVID madness they do a great job of keeping the shelves stocked and the queues under control. The staff are friendly and have been working long shifts to keep Waterloo supplied. Thank you.

  • Karen Saxton

The store itself is fine however most of the staff are busy speaking to each other in their own language and not paying attention to the customer especially in the delicatessen and seafood department.

  • Chris

Standard Cole's with everything you expect. It doesn't get too overly busy. The other Cole's nearby at East Village is larger and more modern in terms of fresh produce offering. Staff are great here.

  • Michelle Pound

This has to be the worst Coles I've ever been too. The staff are rude, the shelves are constantly missing stock and the entire store is so cold, it's a case of getting in and out as fast as possible.

  • Saverio De Michele

Un bel negozio, grande e ben organizzato. Il reparto frutta e verdura è molto buono, prodotti freschi e i prezzi sono buoni. Un po' più rifornito in genere e meglio di alcuni Coles della City.

  • Deon Tsang

Great service by the staff member Sherry, she is a friendly and helpful person every time I buy salmon head from her, she packs it very neat and gentle into the plastic zip lock bag. …

  • Simon

All it took was some white bloke baker to offer me fresh tortillas while i was looking at the near expired ones to make my day better. Cheers mate, forgot how nice it was to eat fresh bread

  • Chris Flesser

Excellent Coles store. Big variety of interesting foodstuffs that you don't see in every other Coles store. Good layout. Spacious isles. Free 1.5 hour underground car parking also. …

  • Daniel Ordonez

I love this Coles. It's big and has everything you need. Although I don't recommend to go in the night. Because literally you will find nothing on the shelves. The earlier the better.

  • Cam

They’ve recently resorted to closing all the staffed checkouts in the evenings, so we were forced to go through the self-serve point with our weekly shop. Not a pleasant experience.

  • Martin McDonald

A great suburban supermarket conveniently located with public transport at the door and ample parking which is also open late to cater for people who like to shop with less crowds.

  • Tony Spackman

Covid safety is on point! Easy check in all staff wearing masks and selves fully stocked , with helpful friendly staff and convenient location, and an overall pleasant experience.

  • Nimpha Pascuà Burns

I bought a kilo of rice in a packet in a week, then suddenly the packet of rice content has changed, become like 5 mix spice? Kind of mixing the long grain rice and sushi rice?

  • Laethitia Chua

Used to be good not anymore- if your prices come up incorrect at selfcheck out that’s on you to check, not ask me to go back to the aisle to take a photo of the ticket

  • Isabelle Nguyen

Supermarket conveniently located with public transport at the door and ample parking which is also open late to cater for people who like to shop with less crowds.

  • Adam Richard

It's a Coles. Open late, deli section is nice. Heaps of those grab and go lunch / quick meal options. Self checkout is really smooth. Very rarely have to wait

  • Hazel McSweeney

A very clean, modern store. Wide aisles and a good selection but better aisle signage would make it easier to find things when you aren't a regular customer

  • Oscar Barrera

Good supermarket, however if you want to get more variety of products, I recommend Coles de Broadway, you will find many things that you don't in this one.

  • Harold Josman

Smaller than some other Coles, but clean and well stocked for a smaller store. Fruit amd Vegetables are pretty good and parking generally not a problem.

  • Penny&mady Penny

Really great store, well set out. Excellent fresh food section. Nice wide isles. One of the best coles l've been to. Very friendly and helpful staff. A+

  • David Buckingham

Nice and spacious yes doing the QR code and sanitizer plus good supply of stock at reasonable prices Did have security at main entrance for checking in

  • Skater Brodude

Layout is spacious and well set out. Soft drinks in adjacent isles was a bit confusing. Staff were helpful, if a little challenged with basic English.

  • Shaun Ryan

Staff need more training on location of items and manners. Rushing through the store, isles blocked with staff trolleys & goods. Bad manners guy's

  • Drew W

Good local coles but lack variety. Fruit vegetables are often not very fresh. Egg are often sold out and ice cream selections is very limited

  • Kaleem ullah

Coles what happened to your canned Chick peas? Your canned chickpeas were superior. Big, soft and tasty. Now they are just like Woolsworths.

  • Allan Humphreys

Coles is Coles, has a huge variety, I could spend a fortune in the store, that's why I just pick up what I need and get out of there

  • Luke Davis

Great store with friendly staff. Clean, bright and well stocked with good underground parking and surrounding satellite businesses.

  • Chris Wardle

Everything you'd expect from a large supermarket chain, with the unexpected (for me) joy of being open on a Sunday evening.

  • Peter L

Everything you need in a supermarket (unless it's beer or wine...) Great range, helpful staff, prices are good.

  • Freesia Swerdlow

Large amount of items have been discontinued and they've changed around the order of their displays too.

  • Jahbibi

It is a busy story so produce is usually fresh. The new doors when leaving are a bit of a hassle!

  • Peter “Picasso” Honeysett

Typical Coles establishment. Great Staff & Service. This store is a huge complex.

  • Mrs. Sprinkles

Great selection, clean, stocks smoking gun bagels and has the kiddy trolleys too
