This library is a lovely little library that shares the same building as Barnet College (Colindale Campus). It's currently tucked away behind hoarding so unfortunately not as visible as it should be, however, the staff are friendly and helpful. The library's layout is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and find the materials. Whether you're searching for a specific book, a quiet place to study, or simply a cozy corner to lose yourself in a good read, Colindale Library has it all. Aside from their stock of books, the library also offers digital resources. High-speed internet access and a range of online databases provide ample opportunities for research and learning. The library also offers computer stations for public use, making it a valuable resource for students, job seekers, and anyone in need of technological assistance. It also hosts a variety of events and workshops, catering to different age groups and interests. For those looking to rent space for events, the study room is available for hiring for short and long-term bookings.

The library has gone downhill since the automated check-in was installed and there are no longer staff. I had a membership card and had not been in for six months since the card scanner was installed. When I arrived, it did not let me in and a security guard told me I could not come in without the card being authenticated for this new machine. I asked to speak to a staff member and told there were none. After explaining I just needed to print a few things, I was let in and able to log in. Someone said the library has become impersonal and they're right. It is not welcoming for older people, disabled people, people with dementia or anyone needing help. The photocopier also asks for exact change only but there is nowhere to get change. The library wasn't the friendliest place before and its even worse now.

We attend the baby, bounce and play group. My son is 11 months and we have been attending since he was 4/5 months. Shout out to Lorraine she does an amazing job. Great sessions filled with lots of sensory play, interaction and has given support to many of us mums along the way. She’s always positive, friendly, approachable and full of energy delivering a great experience to us and our time with our babies. She makes it a personal experience as she spends time which each family and builds bonds with each of us. We have become familiar with the other parents and babies and have formed a group for play dates and other events. My baby and I always enjoy the group and always leave smiling! Thank you Lorraine! This Library Comes Highly Recommended!! A very lovely Library environment - family-friendly and supportive of users (including those with diverse disabilities too). Staff are very helpful, courteous & professional. Security is always happy to help sign-post to available resources, and does perform duty well. Library is easily accessible to public transport, and has easy to use electronic entry access, when in "Self-Service" mode. My only suggestion for improvement is the need to have more "plug-in points" for connecting personal laptops to electricity socket points.

Staff and Security good and helpful and come in earlier than staffing times to help out. Quiet room mainly lock during the day when needed ,especially now being school holidays. They've blocked most of the floor power sockets which they say its for safety but leave the library unattended in the mornings.If layout was change would cure a lot problems.During the day very hard to concentrate because of the noise. Good quite place to study in the evenings when security guard is present to keep things in order.

Don't come to this library looking for quiet enviroment and respectful students. Nobody cares in here about that. The security even gets on his videos in a loud volume, lets the people chat and he does chat as well with friends that come to visit and on the phone. Completely disrespectful. a very likely way to ruin a study area. but specially the teenagers lot more than security, dont bother on coming here if your coming to study quiet

Great customer service and very reasonably priced food. We were served today by Barkha. From the moment we we walked outside she was attentive and ensured to invite us in, explained all the special ect. She really made an effort to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Food came really quickly and was good value for money. There is also a wide selection. Will be returning. Thanks Barkha!

Its an amazing library. Lot of books to borrow, very helpful staff and hosts very engaging activities for local children. The baby groups of Rhyme Time and Mark Making are simply wonderful. Plus the library also does local charity activities which is really good for the community... The learning opportunities for adults are also really helpful.

Didnt realise you had to have a code or library card to enter when it's self service. Pretty disappointed as id heard its a nice library. I work as a domiciliary carer n often have long gaps between clients. Not much fun in the winter n rainy days. Back to kingsbury n Harlesden libraries for me ..

A public library in the heart of Colindale. A short walking distance from the Colindale Station and right in front of the bus stop. The shelves are largely stacked with novels, so it is not your ideal library for academic research. Overall, it offers a conducive and quiet getaway to study.

I had a really great experience today with the staffs at this library. They were really helpful and easily registered me and constantly helped me to find the book which I was looking for that.even the security helped me to use the self service.I really would like to give them 100 star

Colindale library is a very safe place to study in.there is a night security man who guides the library for those who do night studying .its also conducive and very quite its staffs are very friendly staff,it is neat and well ventilated….Come and study here……..

The convenient opening hours makes it easy to come here straight after work/uni and study for a while. It feels safe during evenings because there is a security guard present who is very friendly and ensures everyone feels welcome.

I like it ,its so nice clean the staff are supportive and also respectful the only thing that could be better is variety of books and not using pc for other course at library .I enjoy of being there .

Really friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and modern atmosphere to work quietly without any problems. I would recommend it to people who would like to study peacefully and productively!!

It is open for longer on most days. It does not have that many books specially in the none fictions section but bear in mind with the amount of government spending, can't expect that much.

i am happy with this library, the environment is quiet and the security is nice and there is access to emails. good library for the area, feel safe even at 10 o clock because of security.

The library has a cold and impersonal atmosphere. The shelves may be artistically arranged, but the bottom ones are so low it's extremely uncomfortable trying to read the titles.

It’s a very quiet town for living, peaceful, people are very nice and you have sainsburry and tesco stores available there as well as halal food options as well

Not a bad library at all. I visited the place a few times before; the service is kind of OK because whenever you need something, the staff are there for you.

It is a nice and tidy and clean library. It doesn’t have too many books but you can reserve it online and borrow them anyway, so it’s fine!

I didn’t like the Wednesday play group it not worth any penny I been to a lot different play groups and this one was the worst

there is an open children section and you can hear children moving chairs and talking, difficult to focus

Its being used as a fast covid testing place at the moment so a big thumbs up for those working here
