We contacted Narendra 2 weeks before we planned to travel as our original plans to travel to Sri Lanka fell through. He arranged our tour without any problem very quickly on such short notice. Half of the payment was made online and the second half when we arrived in Jaipur. We decided to do the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) as well as Kerala for a total of 11 days. When we arrived in Delhi airport our driver, Bunty, dropped us from the airport to the hotel. Bunty was such a kind and helpful person and really added to our enjoyment of the trip. He was able to recommend good places to eat and always went out of his way to help us and provide us with information on the different areas. Narendra arranged our flight from Jaipur to Cochin and we were picked up in Cochin by another driver who was with us for the remainder of the trip. The majority of the hotels we stayed in were very nice and luxurious. The only hotel we would not recommend was the Dunes hotel in Cochin as the room was damp and mouldy. The houseboat in Alleppey was a great experience and we would recommend it to anyone. A number of the hotels arrange their own activities which provides good variety to the itinerary. The tour does not include the entrance fee to the various historical sites and most only take cash so ensure you take out enough money. The ATMs only allow you to take out 10,000 rupees at a time (approx €120). We enjoyed the majority of the sites including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amber Fort, Ghandi Memorial Museum, Qutub Minar, Humayan’s Tomb, Martial arts show, and many more. Tour guides were included in Agra and Jaipur which was great. We would not recommend the tiger reserve in Thekaddy as it was just a crowded boat ride on a river and no animals could be seen. We would also not recommend doing the national park in Munnar on a cloudy day as we could not see anything, although I am sure it is nice with better weather. These activities are optional so you can let your driver know on the day what you would and would not like to do. The driver brings you from your hotel each morning, drops you to the door of each attraction, and is there to pick you up when you are finished. Bunty even brought us to and from dinner late one evening as he had recommended a very nice restaurant to us. The tour was great value for money and we got to see so much in the 11 days that we never would have been able to do by ourselves. We felt safe at all times on the tour and would recommend Colourful Indian Holidays to anyone thinking of travelling to India.

It was a last minute trip to India, since we had to cancel our trip to Sri Lanka, in such a short time we had to come up with a quick 15 days day tour of India. We were very fortunate that we found Narendra. He was the mastermind helping us setting up visiting all the different cities and we were still able to squeeze Mumbai and Aurangabad into it. Our tour starts from New Delhi, going to Agra, Jaipur, Puskar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Mumbai, Aurangbad. We highly recommend anyone to tour the Golden Triangle starting from New Delhi to Udaipur. He was able to send us a full itinerary in no time and the price was very reasonable. We bought our own air tickets and preferred hotels. It was our first time visiting India and bad publicity really made us wary. However, Narenda was able to set us up with a very nice driver and tour guides. Sanjay was the driver in Golden Triangle, despite all the crazy traffics in india, his driving really makes us feel safe. No swearing, crazy swerving or sudden braking. He is always punctual or arriving earlier, helping with our heavy luggages, escorting us to the tour sites, communicating and buying tickets, his English was fluent enough to occasionally give us an explanation of the area. It was very hot in Golden Triangle, over 40C everyday, it was the nicest gesture that he actually stored a cooler in the trunk to ensure we have cold bottles of water to hydrate ourselves everyday. We get none of these in the rest of the tour, so that's definitely a big big plus. Big Kudos to Sanjay for being our greatest driver in Rajasthan, you will be missed. Pls hire him! LOL All the local tour guides are different everyday and are set up by Narendra. They all speak fluent English, very knowledgeable about the sites, they even know where all the photo spots are, and helped us take some very nice couple shots. Recommended tour guide by cities: New Delhi (Pankaj), Udaipur (Al), Jaipur (CH) and Mumbai (Santoshi), Aurangabad (Abdul). Sorry I forgot some of their names. But they all are very helpful at all times, always catering to your tour preferences. If you do not want to tour the local souvenir shops, you can let them know in advance as well. If you want a memorable and safe tour in India, work with Narendra. Regarding payment, 50% payment can be made through wise.com and the rest can be paid in cash with USD. This tour was above and beyond my expectations! Mr. Narendra was always extremely responsive to all of my questions and accommodating with all of my requests as i was planning my trip. Bunty, the driver that accompanied me throughout my journey was very friendly, informative, and always extremely accommodating with what i wanted to see and/or do. I am very grateful that i was able to meet him and I am also grateful for the stories and knowledge he shared about his culture. The time that you spend at each city is enough, and there is some time left for you to spend by yourself and explore. The tour guides and driver were always accommodating with the time that I wanted to spend at each monument, so that was really good. Even though there is a lot to see, they never really rush you through any of the sightseeing. The hotel stays were all wonderful with the exception of Royal Plaza hotel at New Delhi, where i didn't have a good experience, but in no way was this Colourful's fault at all. Also, this is the only hotel that requires 8,000 rupees deposit, so just something to be prepared for if you choose this hotel. I extremely recommend this tour and would hands down do it again if i were to go back to India.

Just thought I’d let you know that we have arrived back safely to freezing cold Scotland after our trip to India. We also want to thank you for the wonderful trip you put together for us. We had a fantastic time and all the hotels were superb. We absolutely loved Kerala and it was all so different, from the Hill Station, to the Houseboat, to the beach. We can’t decide what was our favourite, they were all fantastic. It was lovely to have a car and driver which made everything so easy for us and Mr Vinod, our driver was extremely helpful and informative. The hotel in Mumbai was great and it was a bonus to have the pool, we would go out and wander in the morning and then come back and relax by the pool in the afternoon. The hotel staff in Mumbai were very good and looked after us so well. All the meetings at airports took place without a hitch – what more can I say – it was fantastic and a great big thank you for making it all happen for us. We really do appreciate it. Next task it to try to persuade my husband to come to India some time in the future. Once again Narendra we want to say a great big thanks for the wonderful trip.

This was our first time visiting India and our first experience of a tour. My husband and I had a private tour/driver for a week in Delhi/Agra/Jaipur and then a week in Kerela - Cochin, Munnar, Thekkedy, Alleppey and Varkala. Both drivers were very good, welcoming and cheerful. Our tour guides were knowledable and informative. The first wek was a bit of a whirlwind - so many sights, smells (all good!), hustle and bustle. The second week was much more relaxed - we added a couple of days at the beach to the end of the tour and this was a lovely rest before flying home. Narendra and his team managed to re-arange our internal flights having found at very short notice our original one was cancelled - thank you so much! Gipson (our driver in Kerela) looked after me very well when I was poorly - again a big thankyou.Mr Singh our driver for the first week made us feel very welcome and completely at ease. I would have no hesitation recommending this company.

I contacted Narendra Poonia directly and gave him our dates, places we wanted to visit, type of hotels etc. Three English ladies touring Rajasthan In a private mini bus along with our excellent driver Binny who looked after us for 15 days. I cannot speak highly enough of Narendra, he answered emails promptly, changed our transport due to another friend joining us last minute, always professional and courteous. The whole trip was amazing, fabulous heritage hotels, guides awaiting us in every city and a great itinerary. We did tweak it a little which again no problem, we wanted to go to Sheroes hangout in Agra and visit a street children charity, Narendra made sure this happened for us. We all went to his home for dinner in Jaipur and met his lovely family. A wonderful adventure and very reasonably priced compared to UK travel agents. I will certainly use Colourful Indian Holidays again on my next visit to India.

Colorful Indian Holidays has been incredible in guiding us during an unforgettable vacation to India! We did a 12-days tour of North-Western India (Delhi, Rajastan, Uttar Pradesh). Since the first contact through few emails they have been professional and resourceful, allowing us to shape the itinerary according to our interests and needs. Our first trip to India, so a little apprehensive, that why we decided to use an escorted agency, checked EVERYONE and after much deliberation and a close eye on the prices decided to use a local Indian company, who seemed to have great reviews.... We weren’t disappointed, they took care of everything and we travelled our decided route in style and comfort, always met by knowledgeable guides at our destination, and our hotel criteria where always met or superseded and at prices we couldn’t find.... Booked a tour of Agra and Rajestan with CIH. Narendra helped us plan our trip and itinerary - worked through a few options before final plans were fixed. The tour was excellent with great guides at each stopover. The hotels were all good, especially the Haveli in Jaipur and the Taj in Agra. The price we paid was great value too. Would recommend CIH and hope to tour with them again soon.
