I came into the office on the 21st of February 2020, due to NOT obtaining Any help from 10am until 5:03pm the day before. Another field officer neglected to return my calls Shafia Nabulsi. I had the unfortunate experience with. I spoke with her once and after explaining the credits or tax I had already paid out, and I wasn’t sure how to proceed. She put me many times on hold bc she didn’t know how to help me, didn’t answer my voicemail or call me back. Our company phone has no record or the mobile summary of a call from her office or a voicemail but yet the day I came in after so many mistakes and miscommunication, she finally calls me and tells me she did call me. But she lied to me and never called me back at least to inform me of what to do or the correct thing to do, bc she didn’t even know herself. But my biggest irritation was that she lied to me and said she called, but she could drive all the way down to place of business and drop off a blue tag!! And that is how I ended up going into this office. I came in with so much confusion because I kept getting different answers from different reps at the Austin Location. I want to the thank Oscar Roberts, for taking the time to help me and give me some important facts to learn how this works, as this is our first year. I observed him for about 45min waiting, i saw how he took the time to be patient and help every person he interacted with. I saw as the other 3 reps to the left of him, were very limited with words with the clients and I didn’t see them with the will or wanting to interact, friendliness or just that up beat “Hi I am here to help you, how can I do that” sense. I think this is very necessary to come into a place like this one, so intimidating and unknown to so many people. As a business you just want to do right and follow the rules but you want to learn how to do it and benefit the business not to walk in and walk out more puzzled then you came in. One lady (the first one on the right when you walk in, with a heavy accent) she was without a client for a little over 15 min, as we all set Waiting to be called and she didn’t call anyone, was just at her desk. I saw Oscar Roberts asking if their was anything else and still as he was helping his client, he took the time to quickly get up and let us know that they would be with us shortly and thanked us. He was so concerned bc he was having clients moving in and out as the others were still on the original clients. The guy that sat on the Left when you walk in (the only one on that side, tall thinner built) he kept walking to the back and was helping no one. I was so irritated and when my number was finally called and stood up and asked Mr. Roberts if i could just wait for him. Oscar Roberts, answered all my questions and what he couldn’t he asked a very nice knowledgeable lady, Mrs. Tasha to confirm any doubts. I had been told back and forth bc it is a HVAC company and rules are very tricky to them. Mrs. Tasha didn’t neglect her client, she came and told me that when she was done with hers she could assist me in any way she could. MRS. TASHA HELPED ME IN DETAIL and even gave me the information to come to a class she teaches. Very friendly and her interest in wanting you to learn was impeccable! Oscar Roberts then went ahead and helped me understand everything, put all my paperwork in order and set me up to pay my fees, Now knowing everything about why and how this is collected and paid. I appreciate the time and effort that Mrs. Tasha and Oscar Roberts took with me and set me up to understand my business and the comptroller office. What I greatly appreciate is the knowledge they gave me, no attitude or lack of energy to want to help. I wanted to go out of my way and write this for all the business owners out there who face the challenges as I did, and have several offices to choose from, to know that this particular office on the southwest side has to superb efficient employees, Mrs. Tasha, and Mr. Roberts who can help you and will want to help you. Thank you both! A big weight off my shoulders!

The recording for this office says they are open. So does their entry on google maps, which they could edit and correct. For a full year, people have been driving to this office only to find a sign on the door saying it is closed, due to Covid. Real businesses have now opened up to take care of their customers. This agency has not. If you want to understand why so many people hate government offices, take a good look at how this agency has virtually ignored public needs in the last year. They don't care what people think about their poor service, because there is nothing we peasants can do except make complaints that they just ignore.

We are a new business and just completed our first year. After experiencing very low sales over 4 months we became grossly behind in our State Sales tax payments after deciding to pay rent and payroll instead. Thanks to Oscar Roberts, an enforcement officer with the HWY 6 Office (Houston), we got on a payment plan, paid the taxes and literally saved the business. He was non-judgmental but only interested in helping us keep the business alive. Thank you Oscar for renewing my faith in Government Employees. Who knew you were there to actually HELP us small businesses. I am blown away at how awesome you are!!! Thank You.

Did not expect this pleasant experience. Walked in a bit frustrated due to my tax situation, however while waiting I explained to one of of staff member who had ask what I was there for, and she ensure me not worry that I will be taken care of in which I was,, Oscar Roberts who is very professional, knowledgable, very officiant, and courteous, and knows his job very well,, other staff members was asking him for his assistance as if he was the boss there, he did a fabulous stupendous job, I recommend Oscar

Very friendly employees and not very busy. Professional and helpful with my taxes. The Agent that helped me was very experienced and walked me through the process. Thank you very for much-needed assistance! The Amnesty program you should look into if you were delinquent or forgot to file your tax return they are very helpful and can help you clear things up in no time. Thanks Comptroller I can rest easy knowing I have a fresh start with you!

Mrs. Narvaez has a horrible attitude at this new location. Only reason I came was due to the closing of the old location. Probably will have to keep coming to this location for anything in the future but forsure won’t be going to Narvaez even if called to. Has intense mood swings within a short period. Can go from helpful to mean to upset to thankful real quick.

Lady who "helped" me was incredibly rude and so was the cashier. I went in there to try and get my questions answered not to be yelled at ! Then she gets mad because i talk to her the same way. You want respecr show respect. Lady in booth 3. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

The nicest, most patient lady on the planet named Deborah has been helping me scramble this week trying to reinstate our LLC. She always answers her line or calls me back right away. Super thankful for her time, patience, and help!!!! …

The gentleman who helped me was well-dressed with a tie and very professional. Knew what he was doing and did it efficiently and pleasantly. Cashier did her job.

Walked in grabbed a number and Oscar attended to us promptly. Got all of our questions and concerns knocked out and had us on our way. Thanks again
