My daughter will begin her sophomore year at CTX next week and she had an amazing freshman experience last year. She lived on campus, which is very safe, clean and engaging community. The dorms are new and very well maintained. The cafeteria food is very good, but like any student it's not home cooking, but they offer healthy choices and a good variety daily. There are MANY opportunities to get involved and the professors are amazing at CTX! This is a small school but with the benefits of a top notch education. The staff challenges the students to serve in the local community and share their talents while pursuing their education. There are opportunities to go on mission trips and our daughter went to Africa for 10 days. She had an amazing experience. Our daughter missed a few days of classes due to an infection and the professors were very understanding. It's a family at CTX and she was immediately welcomed into the family and well cared for as a new student. As her parents and being many miles away, it was reassuring to know what a great community we left her in last fall. We are CTX's biggest fans and have a number of students attending this year, as well as next year because of her great experience. Visit this campus, stay with a current student overnight and get the full experience. If you are looking for a great education, you will be amazed at the talent they assembled in their staff and the excellent students who attend this wonderful school. As a fan of online reviews and listening to the advice of others, I am happy to take the time and share our amazing experience and encourage you to take a look at this special college.
I love it here at Concordia! I am currently in a summer class here and will be attending my second year at Concordia in the fall. The campus is beautiful and the professors are understanding and very helpful. I love the smaller class sizes they make me feel like I am actually getting what I'm paying for. Tuition for a private school isn't all that bad. I got into 5 other private colleges and 3 state colleges and this was the best rate. With a scholarship paying school off in full isn't all that difficult. I love it here at Concordia and I'm very proud to be a part of the tornado family. I'm glad I chose Concordia over my other options.
I attended the Dallas/Fort Worth campus of Concordia University for a Masters in Education and overall my experience was horrific. My e-mails were ignored for days to weeks from the administration in both Dallas and Austin on important matters ranging from financial aid to course requirements. The campuses appeared to not be able to communicate with one another on even the most basic of tasks which made it incredibly annoying. It has been a frustrating period with this University. I do not recommend this school for a Masters program and if you dare to brave it make sure you steer clear of their Dallas/Fort Worth campus.
This school constantly has changing staff. Their values on paper look good but truthfully, they only care about money and making students take classes they shouldn't have to take. They refuse petitions even with condemning evidence. I regret enrolling here. I'm a Christian and I really thought I was enrolling in an honest & fair school. They don't even reward for high GPAs and sometimes don't even send an email notification of making the Dean's List. The lady in charge of that will ignore your emails and requests too. I have a degree from a community college that was 10x better than this private school.
very beautiful campus! there is a beautiful nature touch to the campus that really eccentuates a calm envrioment to learn and study. It is a small campus so freshmen classed would be like upperclassmen rooms in larger universities. According to some of the professors, the seniors would usually have no more than 10 students in a class. The only catch is, there is only one dorm building so its a hassle making sure you goto the campus when your out of state because you have no choice but to be on campus as a freshmen.
Not from Austin, called with representatives over the phone and promised me to help me pay the tuition. Didn't gave me at least an estimate overthe phone, but as soon as I got there they gave me the tuition statement, what a coincidence. traveled a long way, was not worth it. Most of the clases you will take are not transferable because they have no credit hours so it's like if you're paying for nothing. Do not recommend at all you will lol be paying a high tuition rate for courses without credits
Love Concordia! Most people are very nice here and the majority of teachers are very kind and understanding if you have any problems. Most also give you a handout at the start of class that shows all your homework for the semester, which is very useful! Even though it is a small school, there are a lot of things for students to get involved in.
This university will have a lawsuit against it for fraudulent financial practices one day. They deleted my truthful negative review but left the 1 star. What does that tell you? Stay away from these crooks who claim to be a religious centered organization, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Greed is their game.
For those that don't know. If you attend a college or university that is affiliated with a certain religion, you will take a few courses that are non-transferable. Courses that are tied to religion or intro to the campus. I had a great experience when working towards my masters degrees.
After the pandemic the university has been in dire straits financially due to decreased enrollment, and that has noticably trickled down to the quality of employees and education. They have been trying to separate themselves from the church so maybe things will improve.
I received my masters in education administration from Concordia Texas online. I have been trying to get permission to take the principal exam for over a year. No one is able to help me. I recommend you go to a local school or a program recommended by your region.
I'm attending here in Concordia (Austin) and my first year was a wonderful experience. A very beautiful and clean place. The faculty and professors are excellent. If you want to have a good scholar experience, just join Concordia University. You won't regret it.
This school is just an expensive high school the faulty in student success only care about the attendance never the disability a student has that makes them miss class. I have never been so depressed as i have since i started this school
You contact them and they either respond days later or you never hear back from them, so I'd advise not leave a message and just keep calling. There's never been once when I've called and just got assistance right off the back.
A friend of mine attended Concordia and I went up for a visit. It's pretty far out of town and my car got towed. It wasn't a good experience.
Very beautiful place. Just stay out of the neighboring high grass and you will be fine.
small private school with a excellent nursing program.
This school has good christian values it gets a 3/5
A diamond nestled in the hill country! Love it!!!
