My brother in law was dying in hospice, we called this so called rabbi to guide us. Hey guess what?? No return call from him or anyone there... so now he is in a mortuary that first said we could sit with the body, but now the mortuary won’t allow us to sit with him. We sure needed his guidance. Oh the mortuary lying about us being able to sit is the next on my list.
This congregation is just WOW. Thriving Conservative congregations are hard to come by. However, this place is one of thrivers. Truly great services for any denomination. Clergy go very well together. I just came here for Purim last year – not knowing anyone – and was warmly welcomed by much of the community. Highly highly recommended.
The Sisterhood Gift Shop is Fantastic! Went in for a Mah Jongg card and fell in love with a number of lil things. Found a necklace I had to have, but I need the traveling Shobbas candle sticks and the hamsas, all different and lovely. The volunteer shop keeper made my day, she was kind and patient as I looked at everything.
I have not been to a synagogue in a long time. I came in this morning to say kadish and I actually enjoyed it. They were very welcoming and helped me out. The guard at the front gate was respectful but thorough when he checked me. I love seeing the deer walk around the campus.
CAA has been our family’s Jewish sacred address since 1982. I’ve known great warmth amd encountered both great minds and open hearted people. It is open and inclusive and was egalitarian before being egalitarian was cool. Great rabbis. Beautiful apace. Good people.
Was there for a Bat Mitzvah. The Rabbi was very warm and welcoming. Torah study was lively and entertaining. The congregation was full of visitors and seemed very open and welcoming.
A wonderful Conservative congregation in a beautiful space. Rabbis Blumofe and Swedroe are incredible leaders! Home to the award winning AAUSY USY and Kadima chapters!
This venue does not need an event it is an event in itself! The design in the sanctuary promotes a spiritual energy very few venues are able to accomplish.
We were just passing through Austin and they welcomed us to there shabbat service with open arms. The rabbi and congregants were all so nice.
Was hoping to see this building. Friendly security guards said campus is only open by appointment. Not clear on the website how to visit.
Thank you Millie Rosenbaum who took my call his am with such empathy and kindness....I am grateful. Thank you.
Rabbi Blumofe is one of the profound rabbis in the United States. He is a treasure to the congregation.
Nice, warm community leading by Rabbi with deep soul. I feel relax and delighted each time I visited.
I've been here since I was a kid and now I teach! It's been great and the faculty is excellent.
Amazing synagogue and amazing Rabbi. Everyone seems very nice and welcoming. It is very active.
