I grew up at Shaarie Torah and now call it my second home. The crowd is diverse, everyone is very welcoming, and there is activities for all ages. I recommend the Shaarie Torah Wednesday Night School to all middle and high school students for the great educational and social programing led by fantastic and dedicated staff.
Our family has been a part of the Shaarie Torah community for three years. We love it. The Rabbi is dynamic and engaging and the place oozes with warmth. We were relatively new to Portland when we joined and have found it to be incredibly welcoming.
Everyone there is so kind and welcoming. The Rabbi is wonderful, the Cantor is passionate, and in general the congregation is accepting faith followers. Will go again! …
