Like you, I started my search for a personal trainer looking up Google reviews. I don't recall how many other gyms I looked at because once I found Conker the other sites/reviews didn't compare. Thanks to the quick response to my email from Kathy, I met with Jeff on a Tuesday and made an appointment for the next day to start my journey of becoming the healthiest and strongest version of myself. For those of you out there who have had gyms pressure you to join...you won't get that treatment at Conker. Instead you have very knowledgable people who treat you like family the second you walk through the door. It also impressed me that all the trainers have been with Jeff and Alicia for a long time. I didn't want to have a trainer to only have a new one every few weeks as I recall reading other gyms have high turnovers with their trainers. And let me tell you about their trainers. They are all awesome! They are by your side encouraging and challenging you as you improve with every session. I'm going into my third month with my trainer Karen and in that short time working with her my strength and endurance have greatly improved. That's because she's structured my workouts based on our first conversation of what my (realistic) goals are. I'm so excited to see where she will take me as our sessions continue. I leave exhausted yet I still have all this energy after my workouts. And I never thought working out could be fun...but it is!!! Also thanks to the support Conker provides I've been able to learn and maintain healthy eating habits. They care about what foods you're putting into your body and provide you with resources to keep on track. I honestly feel like I hit the jackpot finding Conker Fitness.
I still remember the day I walked into Conker Fitness for the first time. The gym's rich character and the warm welcome from Matt and Jeff were the first two things that hit me. I explained my need to train for a career path geared towards serious military/law enforcement work. They had spent a great deal of time talking to me about the things I would be looking to accomplish in the facility. From that moment I knew this would be the facility for me. Now, every time I walk into Conker I still get that same feeling, the good attitudes and the elite facility gets me pumped up. I leave each and every time feeling satisfied or impressed with myself. Since starting at Conker the training staff have always given me incredible advice and have gone out of their way to correct the little things I do so that I can be as strong as I can be. In the past few months I have to give some serious credit to Jeff for all his powerlifting advice. I have been reaching my goals and am ready to set the bar even higher for myself. I don't just see a great gym, but I also see an amazing community of people brought together by a healthy lifestyle each and every day. I strongly believe that there is no other alternative than Conker Fitness for my needs. Conker Fitness has prepared me, and will continue to develop me for a successful career path in military/law enforcement and the environments and tasks that come in the line of duty.
Conker Fitness is AWESOME! I can't say enough about the team here. I'm seriously out of shape and haven't been to a gym in years. I tried several other clubs over the years but the environment/atmosphere didn't motivate me to keep going so I quit. The programs at Conker push me, the trainers motivate me and the other members inspire me. It's such a supportive environment and super atmosphere, I've never experienced anything like it. When I started the 28 day challenge I couldn't get through the entire workout...but I didn't give up...the team at Conker (and by team I mean the trainers, the owners and the other members) encouraged me and supported me. By the end of the 28 days I was getting through the full work out. I've continued on with Conker and am there 3 days a week and have even done a boot camp class! If you can believe it, I look forward to my morning workouts...my day doesn't feel the same without it. I've got a long way to go, but I know the team at Conker will be here to support me every step of the way! If you've been struggling to find a gym to call "home" look no further...Conker is the place to be!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GYM! I was a Police Officer in Scotland for 11 years and immigrated to Canada with my family in May 2015. I decided I wanted to join the Police in Canada but was shocked at how difficult the fitness testing component was. I tried to work out myself at home and my local gym and on the day of my first official Police fitness test I failed miserably. At 31 years of age, 120 lbs and standing only 5”1 I thought my chances of passing this highly technical fitness test were hopeless. At this point I came to Conker Fitness and owners Jeff and Alicia along with my amazing PT Leanne Forker developed a fitness plan to get me to the level I needed to be at. Within 10 short weeks I increased my strength and conditioning which allowed me to absolutely SMASH my Police fitness test! I passed my fitness test and now I can look towards a new career. I could not have done it without the help of Conker Fitness! Thank you guys!
Hi there. I am finishing up the 28 day challenge at Conker Fitness. I got measured today (day 27). I lost 5% body fat through the 28 day challenge and lost 8 lbs. I also lost 2 inches in my thighs and 6.5 inches in my waist. I have tried for so long on my own to make this progress in my body without success. The team of personal trainers and coaches helped a lot. The accountability system that is part of the challenge is very good at keeping you in check at every meal. The weight training and the bootcamps are difficult but I've seen muscle definition at such a rapid pace that I really didn't see in a typical gym environment. This is very motivating in continuing to excel in the challenge. I can resist temptation a lot better now and I am better aware of how to eat nutritiously and the importance of portion control! I am super proud and feeling strong! Thank you Conker Fitness team!
I signed up for the free trial of semi-private personal training and loved it so much I stayed. I have really enjoyed my whole experience with the semi-private personal training, Alex is a phenomenal trainer - he ensures a proper workout with great warm-ups and stretching. He always was able to assist with ways to work on areas where you may be having pain or suggest alternatives if something was not working for you. Alicia is fantastic as well, she is always able to answer my emails within one day, and is very accommodating with allowing me to come on a different day if I had to miss my class for any reason. I noticed results very quickly, I felt stronger, healthier and more motivated. I cannot thank them enough! I highly recommend Conker Fitness to anyone looking for an awesome gym and trainers in the Oakville area!
I'm only 2 weeks in to the 28 day boot camp and I'm loving it! The workouts are tough, but Kathy and Alicia are so encouraging. They reply to messages within minutes, so if I'm ever unsure about what to eat or need suggestions, they are always right there to help. Everyone has been so accommodating and willing to assist me in finding a meal plan and workout schedule that works for my life. I wasn't looking to lose weight, but was more interested in adopting a healthier lifestyle, have more energy and just feel better about myself and Conker Fitness has definitely helped set me on the right track.
Currently doing the 28 day challenge and I have to say I'm loving every second of it. The workouts are hard, fun and super rewarding! More importantly though, the awesome support from the Conker staff and community is really what differentiates this gym from many of the others out there. I really feel like they care about making this the best and most successful journey for me, and that makes all the difference when you want to make significant changes that will last. It's only been 2 weeks and already my energy levels are higher, I'm sleeping better and I feel amazing overall. Totally hooked!
In December of 2013 I began looking southern Ontario for a gym I can train and rehab in leading up to my 5th season in the CFL. Last year I suffered numerous injuries and needed a gym dynamic enough to facilitate my recovery and conditioning. This gym is exactly what I needed. Conker Fitness has all the equipment, space and the trainers an athlete needs to get and great playing shape. I am excited to get this season started. This is the best shape I've been in since my collegiate days. This gym and the trainers are amazing and I'll definitely be coming back to next off-season!
After spending years in gyms across the GTA, this is the best. Jeff and Alicia truly care about their clients and results they are getting. You see this through the dedication of the trainers and owners alike. I've worked at a few different gyms and I can tell you that this place definitely brings out the best in its trainers. So if you're looking for a place to get you where you want to be mentally and physically, this is the place!
Great staff who are very engaged in your own personal growth and challenges. The 28 day program has been amazing in keeping me focused and accountable. The workouts have been really good and the instructors are always mindful of your limitations and willing to provide alternate exercises, so that you don't injure yourself. This type of customization to each client's needs is what makes Conker Fitness unique in their program.
Conker Fitness is an excellent fitness facility. The equipment is all first rate and is well maintained. The trainers are what really makes this facility stand out - they are by far the best in the city! The trainers work with you to help you get the results you want and will help you achieve all of your fitness goals. It is clean and the trainers are all very friendly. I would highly recommend this gym!
Might be great for adults or older kids that can actually hold them accountable. Not recommended for younger kids. We had a group of kids who all would say that the trainers would give them exercises and then sit on their phones on Tinder / Social Media. Why would I pay you to train my child then? Must better training available around Oakville with dedicated trainers, especially for kids.
I'm a new trainer at Conker Fitness and not only have they made me feel welcome, but I was also sat down, asked what I wanted to learn & told how they were going to help me learn these things and grow as a trainer. They are a close knit team that bend over backwards to help each other and their clients. Hard working and genuine, this is the type of gym I have always wanted to be apart of.
I have been training at Conker Fitness for several years now and love it. The owners and trainers are top-notch and truly care about their clients, their goals, and their success. Alicia keeps the workouts fun and she motivates me to keeps me going and to continually challenge myself. I have been attending Conker Fitness for 6 weeks and I definitely see this being my long-term fitness routine. The group workouts feel like you have a 1:1 personal trainer because they are so specialized to you and your abilities. Proper technique is emphasized over and over- which is great for making efficient progress and avoiding injury. Highly reccomend and worth the money.
Awesome facility with a ton of space, so even during their peak hours there is room to get a great workout in without bumping into others. I am a national level soccer player with experience in the NCAA and am always impressed with the quality and intensity of their trainers. They have pushed me beyond my perceived limits, and always provided an awesome workout.
I cannot say enough great things about Conker Fitness and everything they offer. The 28 Day Challenge has been an amazing experience, and exactly what a "Mom" looking to get back into shape needed. The staff are supportive, and helpful, and the semi private training is awesome. The results I have experienced in such a short time are great!

This incredible fitness facility offers a wide variety of equipment and has very well informed trainers. Everyone was friendly and the facility was clean. Overall a wonderful company to deal with.
Great place to get you motivated. Started with the 28 day transformation. Liked it so much sign on for more small group training and bootcamps, Have been at for 9 weeks and I'm very proud of what I've accomplished with their help. I would recommend the facility to everyone regardless of your fitness level as everyone makes you welcome.

Ive trained at a few gyms, and this is by far the best one. High quality equipment and Constant sanitization. My trainer Robin is great, and the owner Jeff runs the best Gym in town. No better place to invest in yourself, then this one.
