Overall, Jacobs is quite difficult to describe in a few words. The positive sides are definitely the international aspects, amazing and inspiring people from all around the world, and great professors with mostly small class sizes (the popular first-year classes have about 100-120 students and my smallest class was only five people). Besides all that, I still do not think that I can recommend Jacobs because the administration and organization are so bad. The semester started two weeks ago and I have been waiting for an appointment to register for classes for several weeks now. A lot of other students have problems with course registration too and it takes forever to get a reply to emails. The registrar has four employees that are responsible for ca. 1500 students and only have office hours twice a week. Additionally, I feel like this place has a problem with ensuring that what they promise is actually delivered. Some professors put in minimum effort (e.g. only uploading screenshots from the book as "lectures" during covid). The food is incredibly overpriced (almost 6 euros for a main dish with meat while you only get 12.66 euros of meal plan money/day) and it mostly tastes terrible, even for dining hall standards. Additionally, there are barely any vegan options and everything is wrapped in paper or plastic which goes against the school's own community standard of environmentalism.

The university is not good. Even hochshule is better. If you have better options consider them first. This should be your last option. The university is terrible in scheduling for the courses in master's. The classrooms are always cold and you have to wash your hands with the cold water in the bathroom in winter seasons. The professors are super normal not top notch and overall doesn't worth it. Even the dean is not listening to our voice or emails. The only thing which is good is the university's area and library. I mean come on it's a private university and we are paying a huge amount of money every year. These little things shouldn't be the case. I personally expected it to be more organized.

Don’t rely on the old reviews. This place is not what it once was. Since the Russian buy out this university has gone from intercultural heaven to mediocre cash cow especially regarding housing and the new living staff. The ranking also dropped significantly sadly. As a third year I do not recommend this, your money is better spend somewhere else.

Un vis implinit, să studiezi la Jacobs Universitatea of Bremen, Germany. Universitate foarte modernă, prestigioasă, cu laboratoare foarte bine dotate, profesori excelenți și colegi valoroși. Limba de predare este engleza, ceea ce este un avantaj pentru studenții internaționali, care doresc să lucreze apoi în companii multinaționale.

Diverse, multi-cultural and vibrant student and faculty bodies. Ideal for getting solid academics and global and social awareness. It's really a university of the 21st century (also literally). Highly recommended for anyone interested in hard-science, engineering, social sciences or economics.

JACOB'S University finde es super, wer Geld hat, sollte man hier studieren, es ist eine renommierte moderne University Hier studieren viele Studenten aus mehreren Ländern DAS Gelände ist riesig und sehr gepflegt, einige Gebäude sind neu und modern kann man nur empfehlen hier zu studieren

Very international in nature, tolerance, well renowned and experienced professors and administrators.A lot of multidisciplinary programs and intercultural in nature It's a place to be. It has a cool environment.

Contacted them twice via their website. No reply. Called them, was transferred to an answering machine. No one ever called back. Definetely not a place I would want my kids to study anymore ..

As a student here. I like it. My program is very well designed. However the university is a bit suffering and the best place to learn German if you want to do so. It is more Americanized.

Wonderful international university. Beautiful and well maintained with very well equipped laboratories. Quiet well stocked libraries. Really good and affordable food in the cafeterias.
