During my recent visit to the Consulate of Japan in Dubai, I was rather disappointed with the overall experience. The first impression upon entering the premises was less than welcoming, and the atmosphere felt somewhat cold and unwelcoming. The treatment I received from the staff further compounded my disappointment. I had expected a higher level of professionalism and courtesy, especially when dealing with consular matters. Unfortunately, the staff appeared disinterested and inattentive to the needs of visitors. The waiting area was uncomfortable and lacked proper seating arrangements, which made the waiting time feel even longer. The lack of clear signage and information made it challenging to navigate the consulate’s facilities and services, which only added to the frustration of the visit. Moreover, the processing times for various consular services seemed excessively long, and there was a noticeable lack of transparency regarding the status of my application. All in all, my visit to the Consulate of Japan in Dubai left me with a negative impression. I hope that in the future, they can make improvements to enhance the experience for their visitors.

Evisa process takes time.After submitting all my documents,I got visa issuance notice exactly in 31 days.Apart from long waiting time the process itself was easy and clear. Recommend to apply at least 1-1,5 month before your scheduled travel.According to website, you can apply even 3 month before your trip. In addition, the lady on landline answers the calls as if she is doing favor for customers.

Very good service at counter. Efficient booking system, I got served as per appointment. If you bring all requirements, you are all set. All requirements are clearly listed on the website. No electronics allowed inside the consulate as security protocol. Overall, pleasant experience. 8-11am Visa Application (by appointment) 12-3pm Passport Collection
