I have no words to express my feelings and experience while visiting the Consulate today. First of all it's location is very ideal next to station and is easy accessible by Tram and ample space for parking, whoever has find this place has done a great deal in finding the right place ,inside from furniture to washrooms are neat as 5 star Hotel. I was amused to see happy face welcoming me at door Mr Abdul Majeed at 9.30 am and making me comfortable by offering seat and providing me with documents,next comes Mr Abdul Rehman helping all the way with filling up of documents and offering assistance. I hardly waited 3-5 minutes when a gentleman with a smiling face Mr. Sardar Adnan Rashid ( Consul General) walked me to his room, a humble and professional attitude presenting a sharp and sweet picture of foreign service of Pakistan ,guys quite honestly where would you see a Consular General opens your door and welcomes you and leaves you to door o say Good bye.This is the Vision of New Pakistan At the end I must mention I made 5 calls to Pakistan Consulate reason being I misplaced the information everytime either in my car ,house and lastly in my office but I was always welcomed by the Professional advice by the lady I guess Mrs. Bushra who didn't even showed any remose as I asked many questions repeatedly,rather welcomed me with a pleasant tone. In the end I just want to say to all Staff from reception to Consul General a big Thank you and if I take this opportunity to recommend pay rise for all of you. You all have made my day. I visited the consulate a couple of weeks ago after around 2-3 years. Although I was generally happy with their service last time as well, this time they clearly had improved a lot. Although I had all required documents with me, I was a little nervous whether I will get the power of attorney or not or will I need to take another day off to come here to get the job done (as often the departments ask for information not listed online or just make things difficult for you). However, the whole process was a breeze. All staff members were very polite and willing to help. This has given me huge confidence that the process will be as smooth as was this time when I visit next time. The consular himself was very polite, approachable and made sure that we were being looked after. Small gestures like opening the door for us, coming out to greet us etc. are well appreciated and we were pleasantly surprised. We often complain about and compare the services provided by Pakistani staff (compared to departments in the developed countries). However, I am proud to say that the behavior of the staff and the services provided were better than any other department (Pakistani or foreign) I ever visited. It was clear that the staff at the consulate general were committed to the quality of their service. Thank you so much! I am very proud of you!

For all the people leaving negative feedback, I have no clue what you're talking about. I went there today for attestation of a power of attorney. The receptionist was polite and professional, even though a guy in front of us in the queue was rude and arguing about the timeline of his visa. When our turn came, the receptionist asked us what we needed, processed payment and sent us to the relevant person for attestation. Once there, our documents were examined, attested and we were told the power of attorney should be ready for collection in about an hour as they need to scan it and send digitally to Pakistan and wait for a delivery receipt. We went and had lunch and when we got back 45 minutes later, we were told, everything was done and we could take our original documents. This whole time all the staff were very professional, polite and friendly. If I could I would give them more than 5 stars. if your stuff is not in order, it's not the staff's fault.

I was dreading to go to Pakistan consulate for authority letter stamp and attestation after reading google reviews. I called them on Friday. The receptionist explained the process and documents needed in very polite manner. I prepared all docs and some more just in case. Today I visited Pakistan Consulate. Its location is very convenient in Albert Park. It was very clean, organised and welcoming staff helped me sort docs. He was amused to see that i filled both kinds of forms on their site. I paid through Eftpos though I had cash. Then I met Nasreen Fatima First Secretary Consulate General. She was very professional and prompt. She was kind to open and hold door for me on first floor. I said some kind words about her staff and told her how its so different from Dubai consulate. She appreciated the dual nationals and educated people from Pakistan living in Melbourne. And with that the job was done. Overall a great experience.

Im so so disappointed with thier services because I have applied two times this year for my and children but they took my money I mean the fees and didn't give me the visa . Even though I have provided every documents they asked for. I think this is the new way of making money for them. First they used to do these things in the airpot forcing people to give them money but now they develop new way of earning.According to them I have to apply again and different categories. But the thing is I have to Pakistan before but never happened with me . This time I really don't appreciate your work and the staffs are oh my god very unprofessional. They don't let me even to ask them what the progress they straight way hang the Tphone on your face. I fell very sorry for them.

Highly cooperative and supportive staff I was treated with great respect and the understanding from the staff was amazing. I was given a right and timely advise that helped in my visa application. My call was picked up by brother faisal who after listening to my situation referred me to brother mumtaz , brother mumtaz then rang me and guided me on Lodging correct visa for Pakistan. The thing that impressed me the most was the accessibility to consulate staff and their step by step guidance regarding my situation. Quick and prompt resolution of my application by brother mumtaz saved me on losing my air ticket. Special thanks to Brother Mumtaz and brother faisal for their support. Keep up the good work. Not at all supportive staff. I dont know why are they so arrogant for no reason. Always looking for charging fee for no reasons. So I have been there for attestation of my documents to give authority to my brother to obtain my police certificate on my behalf and they first charged for attesting the single page of authority letter and again charged for attesting the passport and ID card photocopy I mean really its for the exact same purpose which is to obtain the police certificate then why charging fee 2 times make no sense. Never happened before but this time looks like rules changed and they wanted us to pay for our beloved country’s debts. Can’t expect anything good from them at all.

Great service overall, had problems applying for a visa online due to the e-visa platform consistently crashing after a few steps, called Pakistan (NADRA + MINISTRY OF INTERIOR) for my visa issue but no resolve was offered, rather I was provided with excuses (system is down due to updates etc) and more numbers to contact on, which was all in vain. With less than a week left in my flight I approached the consulate general in Melbourne and discussed my situation. They were extremly helpful and made sure my visa was approved in the same day. I cant thank the staff enough for their endeavours they make inorder to facilitate us. Thank you again.

Today I visited the Consulate General of Pakistan, in Melbourne. I was concerned about my wife's visa because our trip was approaching. Mr. Faisal Hayat (the consul) and his team treated me with respect, and Mr. Hayat offered the best solution for our situation, such as the ETA visa option. Feel proud as a Pakistani; we have a good bunch of people here who are helping everyone, especially the Pakistani community. Kudos to Mr Moazzam Shah for having such a great team and building a great place for everyone, especially the Pakistani community. Thank you again to Mr. Moazzam, Mr. Faisal Hayat, and the entire team for their efforts.

If I have to describe my experience in one word, it would be “brilliant” ... one of the most humble, dedicated and service oriented staff I’ve ever seen in my life ... trust me I’ve been to worst consulates and embassies of pakistan across many countries ... what makes Consulate General of Pakistan in Melbourne stand out is the fact that as I mentioned their service oriented mentality makes it much easier on convenient for everyone .. I think this should be taken as a role model and case study for other pakistani consulates and embassies to try to be more like the staff here and less like what they are right now ...

What a great service we had here.I didn’t even expect that because based on my pervious experience visiting sydney and Canberra for passports the typical desi environment with calling loudly TOKEN NUMBER 21 TOKEN NUMBER 22 That feeling is really disappointing where we are living in this modern country with lots of tech support and up to date equipments we still didn’t change our behaviour and system that use to work in pakistan however here in Melbourne office i am speechless how humble and helpful they are. I hope they maintain this rest of life so people don’t have any issues or stress while visiting.

Shame on you lazy people. Online visa system has an error for the past 2 months and nobody is doing anything to fix it. Can't you people understand that some people are waiting for that to get fixed. I wanted to be with my family on this Eid-Ul-Azha but I can't get Visa. I have a travel document and all travel agencies refused to apply for Visa because there's an issue getting visa for permanent residents. I have sent emails to Nadra Visa online but I don't get right response. There phone number is not correct. I don't know who to contact. Nobody seems to care about it.

Dear High Commission, I am writing a review in regards to the Pakistan Immigration in Melbourne, VIC. I went there for my fathers visa application process and instead of giving me proper professional direction they preferred to sit on their seat very rudely with only one piece of information which was not at all useful. "Study the visa application". This behaviour and work ethic is totally unacceptable here in Australia as we are not in Pakistan. We need to put a better system in place and staff who are more helpful, who love what they do. This needs to be sorted!!

My sister in Pakistan had a massive stroke and I had to make arrangements to go to Pakistan in a hurry. We went in to the Consulate General in Albert Park and was attended to By Khalid. He was very helpful and told us what we needed to provide for the visa application. The poor man was all alone that morning but even then he was very accomodating. This was last Friday. Today 30/01/2020 I sent an email asking if they had received the extra documents had to provide and in about 5 minutes I received a reply. Great work Khalid and team. Thank you all.

I visited the Pakistan consulate in Melbourne and, due to a mix-up in my appointment date, I arrived on the wrong Tuesday. I had forgotten the exact date as I didn't receive any confirmation when booking. However, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and they helped me complete the process for a police check. I was there with my family, including my wife and infant, and they went out of their way to assist us. Despite the initial confusion, the service we received was top-notch, and we are grateful for their help.

We always write negative things about our consulate, its functioning and unhelpful staff behavior but I’m compel to write something positive about their improved service and supportive staff. It is located on ideal location in Albert Park so was very easy to park. My query was resolved within few minutes and their customer service was way better than I expected. I visited the consulate on June 23. I have nothing but appreciation for the professionalism of two gentlemen behind the service window, particularly the one with moustache. You wouldn’t find a better person representing Pakistani courtesy and civility. Even helped me with getting my documents organised and photocopying etc. I wish I knew his name, for I would like to send a few lines of appreciation to HR at MoFA, Islamabad. Nevertheless, keep it up boys. You’re doing very well.

I had wonderful experience of visiting Pakistani consulate in Melbourne. They were very helpful and being Pakistani national they extended all the possible support. Extremely rude customer service. No greeting, no hello, no nothing. The guy hung up on me while I was asking a question. I had to call back wait 25minutes in queue again to get the same person. When I asked that why did u hang up on me while I was talking? he replied I answered your question already may be u did not hear me? I have some visa issues still going on for my wife and some relatives but the Consulate General of Melbourne helped me through this specially i really appreciate Mr Faisal Hayat khan and Sayed Moazzam Shah him self called me twice from their personal numbers. AOA, I had my license verification in one day. On October 2, I went to vicroads for my overseas license verification but due to unknown reasons they could not do so. I was told to contact Pakistani Consulate. I went there on October 3 and applied for my license verification. I submitted my application at 0948am and by 1pm on the same day they verified my license and sent an email to vicroads. Their conduct and service was above board.

Pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and quality of service offered by the Consulate General of Pakistan, Melbourne. Not that it is a competition but my experience with the Canberra High Commission vs Consulate General Melbourne was night and day! They answered the phone first time every time, and more importantly my visa was granted within 2 working days! Keep up the good work team, your work must get recognition and visibility!

My recent visit to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Melbourne was a delightful experience. The staff, including the Secretary, Mr. Mumtaz Ali, were incredibly cooperative, friendly, and down-to-earth. Went in for getting a power of attorney. It was such a great experience from all standards. Excellent support and professionalism by Sannan! They printed everything for me as I could not print it myself beforehand because if lockdown. I even attended an online meeting from there. I today went to the Pakistan Consulate for documentation and having read the reviews here about the staff i was a bit apprehensive. But actually it was such a great and good experience being there . Friendly staff, very helpful. Any visa issue with the online from just go and see them. If you have issue with the photo on the online from make sure it the right size, it’s in JPEG not JPG format, if it’s not working with the photo on your phone get a professional set of picture from office works. I would like to thanks Mumtaz sahab and his team sitting in the melbourne office for their help in terms of extending my wife's expired passport. It’s my second time going to Pakistani consulate, Worst customer service, really rude man, unwelcoming environment like they don’t wanna work or do anything and what’s the point to even open it for 3 hours….. so lazy, no matter where they are these people will never change their attitude.

I called them today for my Driving license. The way respected officer of Consulate Malik Majeed listens to my problem. I highly appreciate that. Even though he can’t do much in my case but the way he treated me I never forget that a lot of respect for him. We need nothing more than that.

Professional, polite and helpful. Most visitors do not bring all the required documents and then blame the staff. While I was here, a few people came for a visa with 'anything' except Australian passports. What do you expect? Rules are same for everyone.

The staff member of this facility is complete useless, doesn’t know a word or English and extremely rude and lazy. Pakistan government need to kick some employees out who doesn’t even know a word how to greet and serve people

I went there few times and always found the staff to be very courteous and helpful, especially Mr Abdul. We were given clear concise information with regards to documentation required and everything was done professionally.

There service is very poor, they never answer your phone call and if answered sometimes, without explaining they hang up. I lodged application for my visa in Feb 2023 and still waiting for approval or even rejection now.

Need more people who speak english well and clear, very hard to comminucate I was waiting on call for 30minutes plus and speaking on call was difficult they need people who are both equipped with english and urdu skills
