Don't trust the staff. We arrived as guests to a wedding with specific dietary requirements noted as severe allergy to egg and dairy. The staff found us greeted us personally to inform us that our dietary requirements were duly noted and to our surprise and delight we could eat anything on the menu that everyone else was having which would have been great. Then I read the menu and on it was parmesan cheese as well as aioli which typically contain dairy and egg respectively. I approached the same staff member about the dishes who replied saying, oh yes those might contain dairy and egg. SMH. I thanked them for the information and re-affirmed to them that I have severe allergy requirements and if they could ensure everything else was ok to eat. And was somewhat dismissed and asked to sit down. Dinner was served, and there was a spinach salad which smelt richly of butter (milk) which I avoided - I actually ended up eating nothing because clearly they could not be trusted and allergies are not taken seriously here. And sure enough, 15 minutes later "oh btw this dish also contains dairy". If the food was consumed on arrival on the prior advice that food served to me was safe to eat, we would very much have required an EpiPen, a trip to a hospital, and potentially a law suit on their hands. The chef, as I could hear when asked by his staff after I questioned their menu "does the parmasen contain dairy?" he answered yes and asked about aioli he also quickly says that has egg. So he himself clearly knows the ingredients of his food but there seems to be a massive disconnect between him and his staff. Why on earth were they so confidently saying we could eat anything without asking prior? This is a professional food catering business for large groups. Dietary requirements of egg and dairy allergy is not uncommon. These are top allergens that is marked in bold on all food products. I'm writing this to specifically warn anyone who will have friends and families that may have dietary requirements to avoid this place and or take very strict care when consuming food from this place. If even one instance of anaphylaxis is avoided because of feedback being accepted or guests taken greater care for this post this, this review will have been completely worthwhile.
My wife and I have visited the Cook's Co-op twice now. Both times were for themed meals. The meals are served in a rustic corrugated iron shed by knowledgeable, thoughtful, helpful staff. The staff were able to look after my dietary requirements with no fuss. The Co-op themed meals we have attended have included a lead chef/cook backed up by a very capable head chef and kitchen staff. Martin always arranges for good wines, beers, ciders and non alcoholic drinks which complement the food. The food is sourced as much as possible from the Hawkesbury region and the Hawkesbury River. On both of our visits the food has been stunning. The location is excellent on a hill above the Hawkesbury River so in warm weather there is always a breeze. The surroundings of the shed are nicely landscaped and include several large trees and a herb/vege garden and we were delighted to see that there is now a small flock of Guinea fowl on site. If you require wheelchair access you need to be aware that there are gravel tracks and some hilly terrain to be traversed to get from the parking area to the shed although it may be possible, with permission, to drive right up to the shed. I cannot say whether there is a wheelchair accessible toilet here so please enquire direct with Cook's Co-op about this. My wife and I have enjoyed both of our visits here and would/will gladly return. Cheers
We had our wedding at Cooks last weekend and are just so happy with how everything turned out! We’d had a meal there before so we knew the food was going to be amazing, but we couldn’t anticipate just how magical the property was going to feel on the day. Marty, Mads and the team were all a complete pleasure to deal with and so helpful in the lead up to the wedding and were amazing on the day. We will never get over how delicious the food was and were so happy that all our guests felt the same way. Thank you for making our wedding day so amazing! We will be back for the locals nights so we can keep enjoying what we love most about Cooks, the food!!!

All started well dealing with the staff at Cooks Co-Op as the option for our wedding venue. Unfortunately the staff gave us false hope and made promises they weren’t intending on keeping. In the early stages we were told they could accommodate a certain menu and where flexible. However six months out from our date we were told they no longer could accommodate a menu agreed upon and where told the venue is no longer child friendly. They also don’t do tastes AT ALL, not even a paid tasting. If you’re after a venue that can accomodate your big day needs, this isn’t the place.
My husband Chris and I were married here on Saturday and could not have been happier with our experience. Marty, Mads and Christopher ensured our day was stress free, and all of our expectations were met. The surrounds and shed spaces are just beautiful, and the food was sensational. Our guest are still sending us messages around how unique and beautiful the space is and enquiring about how they can get some more of Marty’s cookings ASAP. I would recommend the Cooks Co-op for any special occasion or a night out to experience great food!
My wife and I were lucky enough to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Cooks Shed last month and it was just amazing. The venue is so stunning, natural bushland with an incredible view of the Hawkesbury River, the food was amazing - I lost count of how many times people told us that it was hands down the best food they've ever had at a wedding and are planning to book a meal so they can have more, and everyone who works there is lovely to deal with. Thank you Maddie and Marty and the team. I wish we could do it all over again.
We attended two of their Sunday Long Lunches they held at Tizzana Winery while their place was undergoing renovations. Absolutely sensational!! Enjoyed both days equally, just need to have those Bloody Marys on hand next time for when I arrive with a hangover :) (Marty and the team did eventually get rid of it for me). If you get the opportunity to indulge at this fine establishment do it!!

We attended a wedding at Cooks Co-Op on Saturday. The ceremony was absolutely perfect, inside a shed out of the wind and gorgeously decorated. Afterwards we walked around admiring the views, which were stunning. The reception was beautiful, inside a shed with three long tables and a live band. The food was exceptional and the ambience just perfect, it was warm and the portaloos were so fancy! Perfect place for a wedding!
We had the pleasure of dining at the Cooks Co-op today and couldn't have been more delighted. The Thai inspired menu was divine,. Our meal came with generous serving sizes, a warm and inviting atmosphere and Marty and his team provided outstanding service. Local to the area we can't believe we have left it so long before indulging. We can't wait to visit again.
We just had our work Christmas party at the Cooks Co-Op and were blown away. The restaurant is situated in a rustic setting on one of the most picturesque properties I've seen in a long time. Marti and the team served a flawless banquet of Italian themed cuisine. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend Cooks Co-Op

Attended a wedding here this weekend. The food was just fabulous. The staff were warm and on top of it. The setting absolutely beautiful in a charming, rustic way. It was 4-5 degrees outside and not much warmer in the ten shed where the function was so in the winter months you should rug up - but that aside the whole experience was brilliant.
We had a Thai lunch here and the whole experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the location nice and the food was outstanding. I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food as I find it can be a tiring and imbalanced cuisine generally, but Marty made it fantastically with great balance and quality of product.
Was treated to lunch from Richard and his team after cycling around the Wisemans Ferry area and it was truly fantastic. Fresh local produce that was cooked beautifully and then served in the most wonderful country style venue. If you get the opportunity to visit and eat at the Cooks Coop then certainly take it!
Amazing. One of those meals where every mouthful was enjoyable. 3 courses and I can't fault a thing only sing its praises. The views are lovely to wander around and look at as well. No problem recommending. You need to book.
Amazing space and incredible food! The staff are wonderfully warm and attentive. If you're looking for a venue that is uncomplicated and well suited to large groups in a wonderful bushland setting, look no further.
We recently celebrated a big family birthday with a long lunch here and it was fantastic. Extraordinary food and exemplary service. Can't recommend it highly enough. An amazing experience.
Came for the Italian night, and it wasn’t really Italian. 1 hour wait between the appetiser and main course. Also there was a big smelly dog that one of the customers brought along.
Enjoyed a Thai dinner at the Shed on Saturday evening. Fantastic venue, amazing food, and great staff. Thanks to Martin and all the gang. We will return again soon. Warren.
Never disappointed. The food is always exceptional and the service always pleasant. All produce is locally sourced from the Hawkesbury. The shed is paradise in the country.
Visited Cooks Co-Op for a wedding. The venue is stunning with an amazing rustic feel. Far enough to be rural but not far enough to be an inconvience. Would recommend.
A fantastic experience the food was delish and my tastebuds were dancing. The team welcoming , friendly, very helpful and profressional. Defiantly coming again
Great Venue with great owners / managers... Highly recommend. You won't beat the views anywhere!! Hands down one of Australia's hidden gems
Fabulous setting for an idyllic rustic wedding. Staff are super friendly and food put on by the Cooks Coop was dayum tasty. Kudos!
We had an amazing day at the Cooks Co-Op lunch. Fantastic food, great entertainment all on beautiful surroundings.
I was shocked by the normal looking meal’s taste, so far, it was the best pumpkin with rice I have had in NSW...
Attended here for a wedding. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious. The view was amazing.
Great afternoon. Lunch , wine etc. Lovely attentive service . Great food. We'll be back soon
Delicious food and a lovely setting. A great communal atmosphere dining in the big shed
