Not my favourite walk-in in the city at all. From my experience, they don’t really pick up the phone. Walk-in wait time was long on a Saturday afternoon even though there weren’t really any patients around. The general feeling I got was that the staff had no hussle- and just kind of casually went about dealing with patients and moved at a glacial pace. If I were running a walk-in, I would be more motivated to get patients in and out so I could see others and make more money. They also like to get waiting patients into the rooms for an extended wait vs. having them wait in the reception area, which makes it seem like the wait would be shorter. Having said that, once you wait 45 minutes to an hour and finally see a doctor, the doctors here are as knowledgeable as any other. My mediocre rating has more to do with the overall administration of the clinic vs the doctors themselves.

My partner and I have been patients of Dr. Jodie Brown for over 2 years. We even make the commute out to Corktown Medical for appointments with her after moving relatively far away. Dr. Brown is utterly amazing. She is calming, professional, patient, knowledgeable and extremely thorough. She is the first doctor I have had that makes me feel validated and comfortable. I feel utterly cared for by her. The clinic itself is clean and never over-crowded. Reception and nurses are friendly and accommodating. We have never had a problem with booking very last-minute-day-of-appointments. Even as a walk-in patient I never had to wait long for a doctor to see me. The on-site pharmacy is awesome. Dr Jacob and his staff are outstanding. The office is nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. I have only once had to wait more than 15 minutes and even then they were open and transparent about the fact that they were running a bit behind. Dr Jacob is clearly very busy with a growing medical practice, but his level of care as I've gotten to know him is outstanding. In dealing with a recurring issue he followed up and made sure that it was properly addressed. Having the lab on site is another huge plus of this practice. Having tried to go to a different lab on a few occasions and finding out that the wait time is routinely an hour or more I've come to appreciate the convenience of having this.

Not a walk in. Used to be one but isn’t anymore so in case you’re confused like me don’t go here! Guessing it happens a lot because of the printed out paper signs on their doors mentioning this! Also don’t expect to get any type of help, as the receptionist didn’t even know where the closest walk in is and made no attempt to set up an appointment for me. Imagine turning away someone who needs medical attention then leaving a snarky rebuttal about bubble tea. No wonder nobody feels bad for health care workers after covid. You’re all too busy implementing protocols that don’t help the system or anyone but you. If you’re not into helping people then I suggest finding another job.

What a great clean and professional clinic. I'm happy to have found it. The staff at reception are polite and understanding. More importantly they are communicative with you about estimated wait times. My experience is that the doctor is fantastic. He is Polite, professional and listens to you! He is not a pill pusher which I admire. I have been twice and both times are excellent experiences. One final observation, the pharmacist is also very nice and approachable. The clinic is new, modern and clean! Hopefully you will not need it, but if you do, I believe you are in good hands and I suspect you will be very happy.

I was a patient at this clinic for about 1 year and had registered with Dr. Jacob as my family doctor. I ended up moving away from this family doctor because I was dissatisfied with his care. Specifically his availability is almost non-existent other than drop-in times. It was near-impossible to book an urgent appointment for me and my spouse during times of illness. The front desk reception was neither helpful or compassionate. They were unable to communicate why appointment times were so restrictive. These experiences were especially stressful during times of sickness for us.

Most of the negative reviews here seem to be from people who are complaining about front desk staff or who are frustrated that they aren't able to just waltz into any family doctor and get immediate service. As with any family practice, you need to be registered with the office with the exception of walk-in hours. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Jacob and the rest of the staff at this office. Dr. Jacob is incredibly respectful, empathetic and a great family doctor. I highly recommend Corktown Medical.

Had an appointment, even was called the night before to confirm, paid for parking, showed up on time, checked in, sat and waited 5 minutes to then be told the the person that was meant to see me isn't in, can I come back later. Just such disrespect of my time, if the tables had been reversed they would most likely have charged me for missing my appointment, but don't even have enough respect for my time to call ahead knowing the person I was meant to see isn't going to be there for the time I was meant to see them.

This clinic is a huge step up from my old clinic. All the staff work really hard and manage to always do things with a smile. They greet people personally no matter how busy they are. The wait times are practically nothing. I have had a lot of forms that my doctor (Dr Pomedli) has needed to fill out before a deadline and he always gets them back to me early. Even if I move out of the city I plan on keeping him as my family doctor for as long as possible. Highly recommend this clinic.

Not a walk in clinic. Just tried going in here and got turned away without remorse or treatment. Lady at the front desk was unpleasant and did not help me at all, nor did she show any emotion when she told me they cant help me. I'll also add that the place was completely empty...so not only are they turning away sick people who need assistance, they're also sitting on their hands not doing anything all day. So inhumane...Don't go here if you need help or treatment.

Reception staff are SO unprofessional and rude here. I have witnessed so many people arguing with reception staff and leaving the clinic super upset. I had to call SO many times to find out if they received my results or not. They are often very rude and unprofessional over the phone as well. Convenient location, clean and heard good things about Dr Jacob, but definitely need to change the receptionists if they want to run the business professionally.

I have nothing but very good experiences at this clinic. My family doctor here always takes the time to listen, is caring and respectful. The staff at the front is friendly and always tries to accommodate an appointment to our needs, and they timely follow up with information about referrals. The clinic is clean and I also love the fact that they implemented more modern services, like an ePortal, to have an online visit with the doctor.

Great medical centre. Dr. Brown is absolutely wonderful, caring, knowledgeable and fantastic communication with her patients. Appointments are always on time as they always manage patients and timing realistically without overcrowding. On-site pharmacists are extremely nice and helpful. The clinic has also been very great with accommodating last-minute emergency appointments.

I have been to this clinic 3 times in two years as it is near my work. I found it to be adequate the first time, but when I was really in a bad state just before leaving for a hiking holiday Dr Jacob went above and beyond for me. I found him and the staff to be professional and caring. So glad to have this walk-in clinic close by. Your care is appreciated!

I don't usually write reviews but I've received the best care at this clinic. My family doctor and the other doctors at this clinic as well as the rest of the staff are amazing and truly care about their patients. I can always get an appointment within a couple days if I need one, and I really appreciate that the doctors here are reachable via email!

I’ve had a family doctor here for over 4 years now. She’s amazing and really has worked with me over the years. Reception can use more customer service training however they do the best they can. However I do feel my doctor is super amazing and it would be nice to see front of house meet that level of service. Otherwise good walk in for this area

The Doctors are great and have been extremely helpful and caring through the years. However, one of the receptionists is very difficult to deal with and impossible to have a conversation with which makes it hard to schedule appointments, obtain prescriptions, etc.

Dr Jacob has been my Dr for over 7 years now and I have nothing but praise for him and his excellent staff. They are professional, empathetic and always do their best to accommodate.

Great clinic, good service. Dr Jacob is very knowledgable and easy to talk to. However, it’s very difficult to get past the gatekeepers in order to obtain appointments.
