We had issues with our solar, and had someone from Cornell Electrical out to our property. They connected our inverter to wifi and said they would be in touch with the manufacturer to get an understanding of the error codes that afternoon and that the attending electrician would get back to me. I followed up with their offices twice in the following days to understand what was happening and was told once by an admin assistant that they would follow up with the electrician and get back to me (they never did) and I couldn't get through to the offices at all the second time. I ended up having to take some time from work to call the inverter manufacturer myself, get a list of the error codes and negotiate for a replacement inverter to be sent out. I provided this feedback to Cornell Electrical via email in the first instance, and when I was issued with a full callout fee of $250 (a fee that was not quoted at the time of engagement), I sought to negotiate a discount given my negative experience and the lack of value they had offered in return for an exorbitant fee. I was told that this fee was not negotiable because they had 'done the work' i.e., connecting the inverter to wifi and that was it. I'm disappointed with the service I received with Cornell and their unwillingness to show some kindness after I had tried to provide feedback and negotiate professionally.

Fantastic electrical company. Professional, friendly, high quality work and reasonable prices. Highly recommended. I was put onto Kyle from a mate, regarding a solar system. After getting in contact, Kyle came out later that week (No fee), and spent a good hour providing helpful info and guidance on a few solar options for our house. After taking a few days to decide on the options provided, we booked a day, and 2 weeks later the team arrived at 7:30am to spend the next 9-10 hours installing our 9.97kw solar system and upgrading our old electrical panel. Kyle stayed back for a further hour afterwards to setup the inverter and discuss a few things with us. The whole process was very transparent, and my questions were answered very thoroughly. Many thanks from a happy customer.

Couldn’t recommend these guys enough. I had been told by two other electricians that they would need to cut through my walls to thread cables to the room I needed the power points in. Wasn’t too happy about that so I asked Cornell Electrical ( word of mouth referral from a plumber) to visit and give me a quote. Ryan was realistic and told me if they could do it without cutting through walls they would. Harry arrived a few days later and nailed it! Did the job professionally and really well. I would definitely recommend these guys. Also very reasonably priced and they explain stuff.

Ryan initially came to quote on lighting renovations needed before my Dad's house was ready for auction. He was able to give recommendations as to what was necessary and what could be left to the new buyers. As there was a tight time frame, he made sure that the quote was given promptly and then he completed the work the following week. We were very pleased with the friendly but professional way he performed all the work required and made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. I will be sure to recommend the services of Cornell Electrical to family and friends.

Electricians and office staff are lovely and helpful. However appointment cancelled at time of appointment when electrician was on another job and not able to get there ( at our rental where we had made a special trip to be there). Rescheduled and he arrived with wrong light fitting - was not asked for any details in booking and our fittings were older and needed a special order. Ended up with newer fitting to save yet another special trip. On line payment system also failed and had to ring through. Simple job was a lot harder than it should have been.

I had both Jamie and Harry on separate occasions. Both completed their jobs to a high standard and left the work areas spotless. Harry had some extra time and was able to squeeze in a couple of small jobs he hadn’t been booked for including making sure our smoke alarms were up to date. He also made some helpful suggestions as to some small updates we could make to increase the value of our home if we were to sell. All communications with the admin team have been prompt and professional, will definitely use Cornell Electrical again!

I highly recommend Jamie and his team. Fair price, professional and incredible service. Excellent communication and when they were a man down on the day of our job, the owner Jamie stepped up and came to help. I had to leave before they finished for school pickup and when I came back, the house was secured and all cleaned up like they had never been there. Well its terrible to live with out power. I rang 4 others. 1 said I have too much on. Well he was honest about it. 2 others didn't reply till the end of the day, why not give a message, why make me wait a whole day. I understand that people can be busy. I left a message with Cornell. By following up on the message I left, I had an answer that day the problem was solved that day as well. It took a few hours to fix.. But I was very grateful. Well Done Cornell Electrical. Cornell installed new LED down lights in a kitchen, replaced an old oyster light with a LED oyster light and replaced a bathroom exhaust fan. All of their workmanship was top class and priced fairly. I had an error on my solar inverter. Jamie can assessed the issue, explained all my options and the consequences of each choice (rare, valuable and very helpful in decision making). Provided a quote, arrived at agreed time for installation. Made all necessary repairs, took away the rubbish and left the manuals! OMG, a decent tradie. Highly recommend.
