The food wasn't bad, not great, but not bad. The customer service on the other hand was horrible. First time going so stood off to the side to look at the menu on the wall. My wife and I decided to go with the limited time offer of the blueberry pancakes and step-daughter the pasta. We ordered and and the cashier if we wanted eggs and bacon with the pancakes. I told her no but wife said she did want bacon. This apparently irritated the cashier because she huffed and sighed as she had to change the order...mind you it was less than 10 seconds from when I said no. Paid and went to get our drinks and my wife's coffee was luke warm at best. Sat down and waited for the food. Same young lady that was the cashier brought the pancakes and said the pasta would be out in a little bit...again she was not pleasant. We waited to eat partly to wait for the pasta but also we assumed she would bring the syrup. Now the sign for the pancakes says it is served with their maple vanilla syrup. About 5 minutes later same lady brings the pasta, says nothing and starts to walk away. I ask if we could have some syrup. She literally says"oh you want that also" and I say yes. She comes back with a small plastic container like a jello shot and hands me the syrup. I ask can we get a little more and she says oh you want it for both orders. I said I thought it came with it so she ask in a very irritated manner "do you want butter too" so I said yes. She brings it out tosses it on the table and leaves. Really unbelievable how rude she was.

No shade !!! I live in San Antonio for most of my adult life and never knew about CORNER BAKERY! My parents brought me out to breakfast, so we ordered about $100+ dollars in food, sat ourselves commenced eating…. Fast forward to the end of our meal! The manager/ not sure who he is in the company, comes over since we still had a number in our order stand. And asks if their crew forgot to pull the number, so I said yes and my dad asked for the cinnamon crumb cake we purchased the dude looks taken back like… u didn’t order that!!! he says let me see your ticket my dad hands it to him… I said to him I have no reason to make that up!!! He then goes and retrieves it all with a very unpleasant attitude. We payed for good service, convenience, and a tasty breakfast not your stink attitude sir. Check yourself before you wreck yourself!!!! Do better and you’ll be better. The girl that rang is up was polite and pleasant. Have a great day!!!!

So, upon entry, we were greeted by a written sign warning us they were out of coffee and tea. This set the stage for the whole thing. When we got to the counter, we were advised that they were also out of pancakes and breakfast potatoes. When asked about substitution, they responded with "There will be an upcharge for that" ALOT. After ordering, we were informed that they magically came up with some pancakes batter. Sadly, orders were already paid and in at that point. When the food arrived, two of the three breakfast paninis were laughably small, child size, half the size of the third. Upon pointing this out our calm guest was told "calm down." They did bing out a make-up sandwich, begrudgingly. Also, they replace a burnt bagel and delivered some forgotten cheese. With this poor level of customer service we will be highly unlikely to return to this location.

This location just keeps getting worse, today the wait for our food was over an hour. When we finally received it, the food was so cold the bacon fat had gotten filmy. The pancakes were spongy and chewy. The scrambles were cold as well, the breakfast sandwich was cold and soggy. Over all the location is not the one to go to. The manager looked clueless as to all the people waiting over 45min for their food and getting cold food. There was a line of people getting their money back after waiting and getting cold food. We had a few bad experiences here but figured they were bad days but nope, it just the location. The quarry location is 100 times better.

I just walked in into this place this morning, just to have a medium coffee and there were four workers standing around busy doing other stuff and they saw me standing there. One even smiled. And then another girl came around the corner and asked me if I had been helped when I told her no, she said, I don’t think I have a drawer open and then she passed me along to the manager which is an older man, he came up to me very confused and asked me what I wanted and then told him never mind. I stood in line for 10 minutes. Well nobody waited on me. Terrible service will never go back here again.

No wonder this place is going bankrupt. Ordered the panini with no cheese, but they must reheat their food because the eggs were cold, and I mean cold like they just got it out of the fridge or freezer. They take it back and once we get the food back, there is cheese and it’s the same sandwich because they bring me the one that has my bite lol and why did you add cheese?? Also, ordered the bacon to be extra crispy and the going back and forth, it was soggy when they got everything somewhat correct.

I was with my sisters… one has a license and she drove us. The manager, tall, white, brown hair. Wouldn’t go away.. he got super close to us and kept staring at us. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I’ve heard from former employees that quit because he has pinned a minor female to a wall, and makes both employees and other customers uncomfortable. All of us were under 18 and he put his arms around two of my sisters. There were four of us. We won’t be going back unless he’s gone because we don’t feel safe in that environment.

I love everything about Corner Bakery, and I come here often. The employees work hard to get it right. Some of my favorite items are the BBLT sandwich, chicken orzo soup, and harvest salad, but most phenomenal are their pancakes. They change flavors with the seasons. I wish they kept the lemon ricotta pancakes year-round. Currently the blueberry pancakes have the most blueberry flavor that I’ve ever tasted anywhere else.The topping is tart and sweet. I can only show you an empty plate because they don’t last long!

My wife and I both had sandwiches. The bread on both was great but the filling was rather unremarkable. The ham in my sandwich was quite thin, though tasty, and the bun was 12 inches in length, cut in two. After a few bites, I combined the ham and tomato into one 6" sandwich, improving it greatly. Parking was adequate, and there were several families with young children.

Tried the chicken orzo soup and it was so delicious 10/10 as well as the chicken pomodori panini also amazing. Will definitely be coming back here for lunch again. Food was so good. My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today. The guy at the counter, Jeff, asked if it was our first time here and we said yes. He explained the menu and our ordering options. A couple of staff members took the time to welcome us and thank us for coming in. And, we both got a free cookie, which was delicious! I ordered the tomato mozzarella sandwich with the chopped salad. I do have to say that the portions are small, so it's good for a quick bite to hold you over.

I had the All American Scrambler, and it was delicious. I love how fluffy their scrambled eggs are. Coffee was cold again.

Stopped by for a quick bit while visiting San Antonio. Cute atmosphere, quick service and decent pricing for the quality of the ingredients. I split the Chicken Pomodori with my boyfriend with a side of chips. We spent about $16 because we added two medium drinks (the sandwich and side didn't come with a drink). The sandwich was very tasty and the ingredients tasted fresh. Even the chips were pretty good and were nicely salted.

As another reviewer stated, the panini is not a panini. There is just a little cheese on one side of stale bread; it was not grilled at all. The wrap was meh. The salsa somewhat saved it. The chocolate croissant was very dry and had little flavor. They were out of most coffees that morning and didn’t pack utensils for the fruit as requested. I don’t get it.

Overall disappointing. The Italian Panini had hardly any filling. I know a lot of prices have gone up since Covid, but you would expect more from a $10 sandwich. The chicken pesto sandwich barely tasted like pesto. The Tomato Basil soup was ok, but very (weirdly) sweet. Most people around us had salads they seemed to be enjoying, maybe those are better.

One of our favorite breakfast places in San Antonio, we drive about 18 miles one way to eat here. The pancake, eggs and bacon are a great value, the pancakes are smaller than normal sized pancakes but the flavor makes up for that, they are very fluffy and light. Corner Bakery has a great variety of deserts as well and the place is always very clean and the staff is always great.

Lovely place! Very delicious & nutritious! Great value, left feeling very content and satisfied. Lots of seating for yourself, a date, or your family! Service was quick too! Great lunch spot :)

Cutlet and I gave this a four star only because we had to go vegetarian instead of doing vegan. The food was really good. Ben loved his pancakes. I got the overnight oats with bananas and apples and an avacado and spinach flat bread. Cutlet enjoyed looking at the cookies. He is still in search for the perfect Vegan cookie.

Food was good, but the managers' behavior was uncalled for. She belittled her employees to where the customers could hear. She was making her employees and customers very uncomfortable. Her name was Terry by the way. It's 2022; every employee needs to be treated with dignity and respect. She needs to be reminded of that.

Great food! I always eat here when I'm nearby. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it for a quality product.

Went to get breakfast here since all the other breakfast places nearby had hour plus wait times. We were able to get in and get our food within about 5 minutes. The food was delicious and so was the coffee. I would recommend this for an easy and low key breakfast spot that isn't packed.

I enjoyed my visit here. I walked over from a nearby establishment. I liked the variety on the menu. I thought the service was good. The food was great. The price was just a little bit higher than I had anticipated, but it wasn’t too bad. I’d pay it again.

The food and service are great. The pancakes are extremely fluffy, just melt away. Eggs are right on, not over cooked, and bacon was delicious. Sorry I decided to photograph after I seasoned my eggs. But the pancakes are the best I've had in a long time.

Pretty good place for the most part for the price. Went a few times and it’s better than a Panera. Last time I went they said it would be a 30-45 min wait to get food and I thought it was kinda ridiculous at a sandwich and soup place.

The coffee I chose (Europa? I think) was delicious - very strong, the way I like it. I also got 2 muffins, banana and a cinnamon crumb, both delicious, altho $3 per muffin is a little overpriced, in my opinion.

Nice, clean dining room. Good service. Not super busy and most tables were clean. The coffee I wanted was out but they made more fairly quick. I had the avocado wrap. Good taste and the salsa was pretty good.
