If you are Costco member (which you must be to buy gas here) you are missing substantial savings on gas I'd you don't buy it at a Costco station. Virtually every Costco sells gas in a stand-alone structure in its parking lot. The gas is typically 10 - 15 cents per gallon cheaper than gas at other service stations in the surrounding neighborhood. The Costco gas stations do not provide any other services or products such as oil changes or windshield cleaning supplies (paper towels, sqeegees). Costco does sell tires at a separate part of its main store buildings. For additional savings on gas, consider obtaining a Costco Visa credit card. If you use this to buy your gas, you will get an additional 4% off your gas purchases. (If gas is selling at $2.50 per gallon, this would give you an additional 10 cents per gallon discount. This discount comes in the form of an annual rebate check.) One warning: Be prepared to wait a few minutes -- one or two usually -- in line for an open gas pump. You will not be the only one who realizes what a good deal Costco gas is.
It is a place to get gas. But it is easy to pull in, wait your turn and pull up to the pump and get you gas. JUST REMEMBER YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF COSTCO WAREHOUSE to be able to get the gas. And I would say that the prices of gas here at Costo Gasoline are at least 20 cents a gallon or more LESS than other gas stations. Have never had a problem here. Usually takes around 2-5 minutes to fill up. Unless you get behind one of those big pickups. Then just ad a few minutes. But certainly worth the wait. And if it is lunch time you can go inside to the Costo Warehouse and get one of their famous hot dogs for lunch. Another reason gas pumps might be busy at lunch time. And they have just started to open their tables at the food court. YEA, YEA!!!!!!!
Here's why Costco gas station at Cave Creek is better than other Costco gas stations: TWO PUMPS PER LANE INSTEAD OF THREE. For the most part, Costco makes changes for the good. However, once in a while Costco makes a change that is illogical, if not downright stupid. Adding THREE PUMPS PER LANE to some of its gas stations definitely falls into "What were Costco's executive management thinking?" category. In my opinion, when James Sinegal retired as CEO, Costco began slowly trickling downward in certain areas. These areas include: (1) three pumps per gas lane; (2) 18 months behind the curve computer products; (3) the second-rate and overpriced Costco Online shopping are three examples of poor Costco executive management decisions.
It's always a disaster. Way too many cars, no where near enough pumps. And paying two guys to walk around yelling at people to turn their engines off is just dumb. No car since maybe the 1900s or 1910s has ever burst into flames from fueling with engine on. No other gas station plays goofy games with their customers like this and furthermore, some or them are very aggressive with their false sense of authority. Terrible customer service. Get rid of these clowns and add more pumps. Often there are 6-8 cars per pump sitting in line. This is absolutely absurd.
Price of gas here is better than other gas stations, which is the reason why people are willing to wait in line for 15 minutes before they get to a pump -- due to long lines. So, be READY to WAIT. I just plan for the delay and brace myself for the delay, so I don't get too riled, or run out of time because I expected to be able to access a pump much sooner. Costco is building a new station that appears as though it will be ready in about 60 days.
Always affordable, I hate filling up and then driving by another filling station only to discover I overpaid. That has never happened after filling up here. They also have the really long pumps so you can drive up to any pump and pull it over your trunk if it's on the wrong side of your tank. I don't think I've ever had to wait at this location, and the one time I forgot my Costco card the attendant was nice enough to let me use his.
Always the best price locally for gas. Only complaint (and it is not the fault of Costco) are the fools who have a line of people behind them but would rather finish their phone calls and texts before trying to fish out their Costco cards. There have been times when I've pulled up along with someone else and I've finished pumping gas before they've started. It just makes it worse for everyone else.
Can't beat the price. Lines can be long at times but move quickly. I've never waited more than a few minutes. I don't understand why they're not available later in the evening since you have to use your membership card to access the pump anyway. My day starts before they open and ends after they close. I would fill up here more if I didn't have to wait until my day off to get gas.
My current cars are picky about the gasoline I put in them. Chevron gas has always worked best, and you can wash your windows, and not feel pressured to get out of everyone's way, like at Costco. However, Costco sells tier-one gas, just like Chevron. It runs fine in my picky vehicles, and the price is right, so I put up with the lack of amenities.
Great place to get gas for cheap! Place is usually packed but we'll worth the wait. There's plenty of pumps available so the line moves pretty quick. If you have the Costco credit card you also get cash back on gas which makes it an even better deal. I fuel all my vehicles here & highly recommend it. Costco never fails to deliver!
Love the gas here, but today found Costco in North Phoenix Gas was $3.43 a gallon a drive to the business Costco $3.19, personal opinion same company same city price should be the same. We do pay a member fee, it's not free to shop there, I do feel taken advantage of. The whole gas priceing system needs an overhaul.
I drive out of my way or fill up early to go to this Costco. The lines move fast. The price for what ever reason is usually ten cents lower than the other Costco a few miles away on I-17. The place is always clean and I have never had a card reader or a pump not functioning correctly.
I have only been here once, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I am intrigued by the Costco membership, and have heard the fuel prices are a great benefit. But I get really good MPG, so it doesn't seem worth it for the discounts. Regardless, if needed, I can grab gas here.
Wholesale gas haha just kidding it's like every other gas station as well but you do have to be a member of Costco to go there and the lines are usually not too bad it's very well set up it's only one way so make sure you watch out for that and now some of them even have diesel
I'm a single person that travels a lot and the reason I got a membership at Costco is because of the gas prices that used to be much cheaper than the average, however, it's not like that anymore. Prices of gas at Costco's are almost the same as anywhere else.
The lines could be worse, could be better, but the real issue is that the way the parking lot and landscaping is set up, you can't quite get to all the lines right away, which makes the traffic back up even more. Still, could be worse
Cheapest gas you'll find. Use the Costco credit card for added savings. I've been going here for years and I've yet to ever get a bad batch of gas. Highly recommend as there is no reason for Costco members to go anywhere else.
Okay Costco gas station the best time to go is in the morning when they open up don't try and go in the afternoon you'll sit in life for 15 minutes or so but they got good gas and we get out of there thank you Dwayne
4 stars because the newer Costco has stations have 3 pumps at each spot and lite above that indicates when a pump is available. This one has 2 pumps at each post . Otherwise , BEST prices, tap/touch pad for payment .
Who doesn't like Costco? Well their gas prices are the cheapest in the valley, and I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at Costco over the last two decades It's a great place! Everything you wanted and more!
Well I got my gas for like 35 cents cheaper a gallon than down the road from Costco. So that speaks for itself in my opinion. And great for Costco....I just put it right back in their pocket afterwards. Lol.
I love Costco gas stations. Usually their prices is lower than everybody else. They say it's top tier gasoline as well. Who usually clean and tidy. Even if the line is long it's pretty fast moving.
Almost always have long lines. And I wish the employees would encourage people to pull up to any pump, some people don't realize they can still use pumps that are on opposite side from their tank.
Will be shopping Costco today, but cannot find gas prices at Beardsley Road warehouse online, so will shop at Cactus Road warehouse where a great gasoline price is stated on this website.
So cheap! Lines are always long and that’s frustrating. Hoses are long enough to reach other side of cars so it does not matter which side your tank is on. (Wish everyone knew that).
With gas prices the way they are right now just saving a few cents is helpful. This Costco gas station is just like the rest of them. Wait your turn, pump your fuel, and off you go.
Sat Oct 7 they were supposed to open at 7 AM. Cars were lined up to the street and no employee there to open so I left after 10 minutes. Don’t know what happened. No sign to explain
Typical Costco gas station. Lines were decent, cars parked on the wrong side as usual. Truly wish people would know where there gas tanks were so that they could queue up properly.
Well, you're gonna probably get the closest to the best savings going there. The only bad thing is that I wish they had mid grade, so I don't have to pay for premium.
Wknds are packed. During week is quicker. Like 8/10 lines for pumps. They move pretty quick. Easy to pull in/ out on Beardsley u can hit 32 nd St or Cave Creek Rd
These prices are just out of hand, this is just a half a tank ... not Costco's fault though. And if you come anytime between 2pm-7pm...be prepared to wait! …
Always busy when I go which isn't often. Gas prices are always better than everybody else but it's not convenient for me everytime I need to fill up.
This Costco Gasoline is the only one I go to in Phoenix. The lines get very long but they go quick enough and all staff is kind and ready to help.
Best Gas in Town....Usually 0.20 per gallon cheaper.....Expect lines & people not 100% sure they know what ther're doing..Fun to watch!
For some reason, every time I go here there are 5 cars deep in every line but the one line that no one goes in. Thank you universe.
Prices are below average and the gas is better than average. Lines are usually long but all pumps are going so lines move fast.
Right now the have 3 pumps out of service.. I pay a membership fee and they can't even have a complete gas station working..
So often there's a long line. The gas savings don't make up for the value of time lost waiting in line during busy times.
They busy gas station. But it's worth going there cuz it's cheaper in all the other gases around Costco gas station.
Costco gas can have some of the best prices in town. The access is fine. The price can change during the day.
Love coming here for gas it’s a bit cheaper and when you come close to the closing time there is no line
Pro: They have hand sanitizer! Con: They only have 2 pumps per station so it can get somewhat backed up.
Never look farther than a Costco gas station. It will 99.99% match or beat any other pump in the valley.
Very efficient gas up. Not too happy about the price though Costco is better priced than anyone else.
Great staff! I only go once in a while because I drive a Tesla Model S! But when I do it's Costco!
Disappointed the only have one diesel pumps in a city the size of PHX I waited 20 minutes inline
Gas prices are very reasonable compared to all other gas stations. It's worth the wait in line.
The line to get Gas was shorter than usual. Gas was $.20 cheaper than other stations.
The line to get gas is never too long it’s always clean and I always feel safe here.
Best price on fuel in the area, lines at peak times. 16 pumps, gas only, no diesel.
Good prices for gas - as compared to regular gas stations, but still too expensive
I usually use Costco for gas with the prices so high recently. Line was not long.
Super busy! But things moved along smoothly. Best price I've found for fuel.
Clean gas station with many lanes and all pumps were in working condition
Who can't enjoy the price of gas! Always a line, but very well organized
What can you say about COSTCO? Cheapest gas, can be crowded at times.
Lowest prices in town and top tier gasoline is a good combination
Always busy, but low price on gas. Lines move pretty fast.
Lots of pumps to keep the wait as short as possible.
Best prices in town! Lines move fast. Lots of pumps
Best prices in town. Lines moved fast-for Costco.
Always lower gas prices than other gas stations.
They are always busy, well worth the wait
Crazy lines but they move fairly quickly
Long lines but great prices for gas ⛽️
Super low prices and long lines.
Cheaper than other places
Good prices. Long lines
Lowest price in town!
