I don't shop here much as my wife does. I ran into a few unfriendly staff that were not much help. However, I did manage to find one. I bought a fridge, I needed a hand loading it. They told me to wait, after several minutes waiting and someone came, a new customer who had just showed up and they went to them first and said someone else would be with me. It was clear I was there first, when I said I was there first, politely, the staff member and the customer both looked at me with a blank look and just kept walking. After waiting several more minutes, I just decided to load the item by myself. Someone in the parking lot saw me getting ready to lift it and came and gave me a hat thank goodness. There was a gentleman at the propane fill who was extremely unpleasant to deal with. It's about a 40 to 45 minute drive home which is my fault, not Costco's. I got home and the fridge was completely damaged. I drove 40 minutes back to exchange it, there was no management of the return line. People were trying to cut me in line left right and center, but I managed to just tell people I was there first. The exchange went smooth other than the fact that they had to return my money and then I had to go now wait in an extremely long lineup, which was very inconvenient. There were no carts to be found, after several minutes I found one. I made my way back to the truck where I experience the exact same loading problem as before. Except finally I told somebody firmly that I needed a hand to lift this item. I also had an odd interaction with the manager at one point, but I don't need to go into detail about that. I'll just leave it at. It was very strange.

To say that Kim was extremely rude to us at the self checkout on September 24th, 2022 would be an understatement. I arrived at the self checkout only for Kim to start, without our permission, scanning my items (so much for self checkout). I asked what was going on and she started talking loudly. I wasn’t sure what she was scanning and what she wasn’t scanning. I asked what she was scanned. She said she scanned the sugar and flour. I asked, which sugar? As we had multiple types of sugar in the kart (white granulated and powdered). She YELLED, verbatim, “THIS IS ICING SUGAR NOT SUGAR” loudly. Suffering from anxiety this sent me into a panic attack after I left the store. We had to triple check what was scanned. What’s more, Kim demanded to see my credit card. Not once before I have had a clerk at any grocery store ask, never mind demand to see my credit card. This is unacceptable and having recently suffered from credit card theft, a security issue and is very alarming. There is no need for Kim to have seen my credit card. This has to have been the single most worst customer service experience I have ever had, and the whole experience was unsolicited by me, hence why I used the self checkout. I will not be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere, where I won’t be attacked and berated at the self checkout and where I can complete my shopping with dignity and respect.

New focus. They have a great deck box (624 litres). It's huge. With lid and water resistant. Store all your tools in one spot. Just $199 Cdn. Also, I got my tires replaced by Costco just 2 years since my last purchase of 4 new tires at Costco. I had put 70,000 km on them and their warranty was 110,000 km. I had all my Honda service receipts showing I did tire rotations and Costco refunded me almost $300 for the premature wear. That made a bad situation better. Keep your receipts! Original review. I would like to focus in the cell phone kiosk at Costco. My phone was off contract and I called Rogers to work out a great price on a new plan with data. Once done i was told to head to any Rogers store and get my desired new zero dollar premium tab phone. I normally buy my phones at Costco. Super customer service. Good deals. And have the phones I want. So on my way to Costco I dropped into a Rogers store in KP mall. They had the phone I wanted but no specials. I left. Went to Costco and they had the same phone I wanted at zero dollars and gave me cash cards of $175. That's part of why I shop at Costco for phones.

Costco used to be fairly calm, now it seems all of the "people of walmart" have found their way over there. No matter when you go it is always absolutely packed, loud, screaming stray kids everywhere. There's plenty of handicapped parking, but it's always full of cars without handicapped parking passes. When I mentioned this to a manager they shrugged and said "what do you want me to do about it?" Have them towed because that's literally the law? Lol. The transcona costco is always a living nightmare. I've had strangers pet my hair, a man humped me when I bent over a chiller to grab something, sticky kids will come touch you and cough on you. It's a zoo and you're on your own. Be prepared to karate chop creeps because the staff do not care

I like coming here however today member services today was a mixed experience. Lady one on the right was helpful, lady 2 on the left was half joking half suggesting the bad salmon Burgers I was returning was due to me and "booze" insinuating I was either a) too stupid to know to buy the booze before coming to Costco and leaving my groceries in the car or b) that I had been drinking which resulted in the Burgers going bad. Not sure which it was as it was a convoluted joke/veiled accusation. Overall unprofessional, uncomfortable, offensive and not appreciated. The manager came to help with the return, was helpful and the lady on the left started implying again this had to do with a mistake related to booze... Not good customer service.

I like Costco and I've never had a reason to complain but I saw a worker adding chicken breasts on top of the old product. If there was old product. She was just piling it on top all the way across the cooler. It was just odd to see someone not making any attempt to rotate the old product with the good. Please look into this as it would make you guys look bad for fresh stuff to be on top and older stuff on the bottom. Unless it was all the same Oct 30 best before date, then I don't know why I'm here lol either way I think this girl could probably be a bit more polite when customers are looking at product. I was there about 2 mins trying to look for a couple of packages that I liked but it felt like I was being rushed to move

Went around Sept 29 6:50pm. Girl at the till tried pushing the Costco blackcard on us 3 or 4 times while ringing us up. Had to consistently tell her no, then as I’m paying tries one more time saying we’re spending a lot of money, it’s way more than the average bill and that we should get it. Again tell her no, and my boyfriend whom I live with went to pay, she yelled for management saying he couldn’t pay and I needed to. After trying to pay with his debit (which is on our shared account) I ultimately had to use my personal debit as she wouldn’t let up. Not sure if she was annoyed we didn’t get the black card and she needed to hit a quota. First time at the Regent Costco and it was not a great one. Op # 122 Chelsea V

Their staff at self-checkout is not efficient and a little bit unfriendly, one of them scans the item but still needs them to scan the employee number or code, so we ask them to help, the other one keeps asking us “You scan, You scan this?” Like three time when we told him “Yes, but the screen said it need you guys’ code to scan it as proof.”, he is like not listen carefully to us. I know it’s busy but you have to listen to customers when they answer you!! Otherwise, you are the one wasting the time!! But anyway, I hope they can be more friendly and helpful next time. Also if you are buying the ticket, coupons, or stamps, make sure not to go self-checkout.

Not impressed on my last visit. I asked for boxes and both cashier's were to lazy to do their jobs and instead requested I get my own boxes. Not the end of the world but what really irritated me is that while I was gone they continued to load everything back into my cart! This completely defeated the point of the boxes!...... Just in general getting sick of this store. WAY to busy and expensive products. Also serious lack of new products and decent customer service. Probably going to cancel my membership after this last visit. For a membership based grocery store and well paid staff, better should be expected....Clearly it is not.

Went to the optical department this week to pick up my frames. It usually is a busy area. What I did notice during my visit on multiple occasions, The lady named Cari is very unattentive to the clients that are in line waiting. On the 3 visits, I noticed she will be standing around at the till doing nothing or distracting other colleagues while they are helping customers meanwhile 2-3 people are waiting to be served. Not sure if she's the manager, but help the rest of your team out. People don't like to wait to be helped and when you approach them at least try not to sound like we are inconveniencing you.

If 0 stars would be an option, that would be the rating for Costco on Regent. Warning: stay away from the pharmacy section! I've tried 2 times to fill a prescription here, and both times they went out of their way to complicate the transaction by being rude, obviously racist, dismissive and unhelpful! It seems the staff is on a massive ego trip. Other Costco locations handled the same transaction smoothly and quickly. I didn't learn my lesson the 1st time. The 2nd time was on me. I recommend skipping the hassle and filling your prescriptions at another vendor.

This review is for Costco on general. I haven't been a member for 2 yrs because I didn't find it was saving any money being a member. So this year I get a voucher in the mail receive $60 off $150 purchase online shopping with the $60 membership. I signed up and when I checked out the online shopping the prices are higher because they are charging for delivery on everything. That completely defeats the purpose of buying anything online. Your being screwed for shipping. Costco has become worse and worse over the years with high prices and low quality products.

I like the prices of the food you can get some big items for you know reasonable price you can get clothing there for a reasonable price I think they're good product. For example I got a puma large backpack for $29 where I would have paid $89 at Staples. Also the other problem is that you're kind of struggling to get your way around people like you're in some kind of a cow barn nobody moves nobody gets hurt so to speak. A lot of people are rude which has no consequences on the store It's the people themselves. But I'll keep going there.

it was awful!!!! we had an appointment to change the tires. we warned that we would be with a child. we were told that it would take no more than an hour and a half. we waited for three hours!!!!!. we were not able to call a taxi so that my child and I could go home because the car seat was inside the car. this is the worst service I have ever encountered in my life. all the lions had to wait for more than two hours. although with Canadian courtesy they promised to do everything in an hour. we will never use costco tires again.

Was at this costco today and what i joke that pace was there were pallets of stuff blocking half of the isles and then they got to block 3 of there other isles to get a think out of there racks trapping lots of people at back of store for few min then after paying they are not letting people out of the store because there is a 15 min wait to get your receipt checked, I feel sorry for employees having to deal with this also they were just doing there job but they do need better management who can figure out how to run place,

Just now my daughter try to buy some groceries on our membership card . Because my shift end at 2300 . She has driving license with our home address. Same last name .mother has 12 hour shift and father truck driver for out of country.he is coming at one o’clock at night and will leave at 7 morning tomorrow. Need some groceries. Your staff insult my daughter. If that is wrong .did you Give additional card for my family . You staff behaviour like she is criminal. Speak louder. IS THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE ???

Large store with walk in refrigerator for dairy. The meat coolers are always well stocked. Tire center and propane fill station. There is also an onsite self-serve fuel station, although be prepared for an average 2 or 3 car wait because of the member discount price. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars initially is that they didn't seem to have enough staff running the checkouts. However has changed somewhat because of the new self checkouts.

My family and I enjoy going to Costco especially the one on Regent. It gets a little crazy inside the store and in the parking lot sometimes, but overall we usually find what we are looking for and I like that everything with food is in bulk and the prices aren't bad either for what you get. The staff are friendly and help you with any issues you have or need a helping hand finding an item. And finding the odd gift or two is great too.

Need the good food products to stay available someway. Also its annoying to have to show you’re Costco Card on the way in when you cannot purchase anything without it on the way out. Put those greeters at the door to work directing customers to the next quickest cashier. These cashier lines need more control. Have a couple lines for 10 items or less. Have a special line for oversized items such as TV, Flooring, Appliances, etc…

I purchased tires from Costco and utilized the tire service warranty, due to the tire leaking air. I made an appointment for 4:30. They didn't bring my truck into the service are until 5:30. I was assured that, even though they were very late withe getting my vehicle in, it wouldn't be much longer. I finally got my tire fixed at 7:00. I didn't even get an apology for the horrible service! Unbelievably unprofessional!!!!

I am not one to typically complain. However now twice in row I have found my local Costco to be very disappointing. Understandably it is just way too busy and staff does their best to keep up. The little things like cleanliness, lack of items on shelves and something as trivial as ketchup available for my hotdog. Hopefully more staff or some changes will be made to bring this store up to its normal high standards soon.

Costco carries a large range of products, with a very limited selection in each range. They don't carry a lot in the way of cheap goods (you'll want Walmart, Superstore, and Dollarama for that), instead tending to stock higher quality goods at very good prices. Some things are exceptional values, like glasses from their optician service, and there are a lot of great deals to be found if you wander around long enough.

Needs a better parking lot. Always a zoo getting in and out of here. Also wish costco would eliminate the people who receipt check you upon leaving. You already get checked if you have a card before entering and you have to scan it at the cashier, so there is no point in having a THIRD person check to see if I have a membership. It would increase the flow of traffic at this already atrociously busy spot.

Update - Still busy. :) Lots of unique items and an abundance of your staples. Still need to watch prices as it's not always worth it buying in bulk, but overall good prices. Get the Executive membership as even a smaller family will make their membership fees back throughout the year. The biggest downside to Costco is it's always busy. Always. 10/19/2023 - Still. Busy. Poutine is great though. :)

The store itself is fine, did not appreciate the staff checking my bill while leaving that proceeded to come around from the plastic shield she was behind to touch every item in my cart without a mask on or wash her hands in between customers, very unhygienic! Unfortunately not my first unpleasant experience at this location and I’m sure not the last as it seems like management just doesn’t care.

Costco on Regent has been going downhill for quite sometime. Today, my experience at the self-checkout was another HORRID one. The staff are rude, unhelpful, customer's trying to sneak through on scooters almost crashing into people from behind, absolutely NO MANNERS being used whatsoever. Finally, my membership card has expired. As I wrote earlier, I will not renew. Worst customer service ever. Today at Regent there was a large box of rotten potatoes, the smell permeates the entire store. If you think that you are saving, you are mistaken. You eat more and throw away more trash. I wish everyone to come to their senses and gain freedom from this disgusting store.

Great Bulk store. Costco has so much under one roof. They sell electronics, clothes, bulk food(of course), have a hearing center and a vision center, bulk prices are cheap and they have a popular food stall that sells their well known affordable hotdogs and some slices of pizza and fries. Also Lots of good food items you can't get anywhere else.

We were heavy, heavy Superstore shoppers until we got our Costco membership. Now, we mainly shop at Costco and have found a replacement for nearly everything we would need to buy there, and have discovered some new favourites! Keep an eye on your prices as cost is definitely a little higher but we like the quality we get from Costco better.

I mean, it’s Costco! Great friends at great prices. I do not go to Costco often since the quantities are quite large, but I always enjoy my visits. They always have new things at Costco and the store is really well organized (signs at the ends of aisles could be nice though). Parking is always hard to find, but that is not the stores fault.

Customer service at this location is awful specifically the cashier who works at self checkout named Kim. If you’re having a bad day should not be in customer service if you’re going to take it out on your customers. She was so rude at self checkout I was tempted to not even buy anything. Will be only going to McGillvary location.

I love this location. The staff are great and they do an excellent job of keeping everything stocked. There are many employees who go above and beyond to make this a great place to shop, but Derek is one of the shining stars. He’s always there to greet the customers, help load your stuff, or just put a smile on someone’s face.

It’s hard to know and if I had to put everything on my credit card it runs pretty high! Do not like doing it!

Love this place!! Except needs a better layout for parking lot. Too many people going through for it to be safe to drive in. Maybe one ways or even proper stops signs. But other than that very good with prices and gas too!! Definitely will keep coming here for the shopping. Not the parking though.

The store was great. Well stocked, just like any ogre Costco. But within the hour we were in there in the middle of a Monday afternoon. Some jackass tried to steal our suv and camper. 2 smashed windows and alot of collateral damage. The store would get a 5, but the lovely city lowered it to a 2.

Costco has the best customer service and they have many products with the best prices. It is always worth the trip. I only wish they had more product selection, single items for things like yogurt, nuts and seeds without oil or olive oil added. It’s not perfect but they do a good job overall.

Like every Costco, the parking lot is always full. Staff are friendly, shelves are stocked and there are lots of great options. Poor design for access into and out of parking lot but once you're in and parked although congested, things move pretty quick and lines usually don't take too long.

Amazing service from management with helping me on a 3 year old return. Spent lots of time with me during a busy day and they sent me home to call me back figuring it all out themselves instead of me having to wait for them to resolve it. Full refund and everything. Love this effort.

Best place to shop if you don't mind lots of customers and long lineups. Parking lot needs work, they should close the closest turn in by Regent Rd and use the 2 other entrances. Just found out Costco stopped doing passport pictures - not sure when they stopped or why.

Costco stands behind their products. I once observed a Cosco customer service employee graciously give a customer a full return on a rug he had purchased over a year previously and had clearly put to good use before deciding that it didn't match his decor.

Come here if you want some hustle bustle and get some bulk stuff for good deals. Good quality product for the most part but I don't like busy stores. Good gas for best price but line ups can be very long. Come in the morning for shorter line ups.

Worst meat department in the city by far. 3 trips in a row over 4 months there have been issues such as disgusting cuts of roast full of veins and cartilage or sausages going bad next day despite the best before being 5 days later.

I think this store feels very crafty. They make more money from the cards than from the products. But when you walk in and realize the prices are so expensive, you realize it's a terrible experience.

My rating has increased for this Costco location in the last few years. I personally prefer this location as I feel it’s seamlessly very well managed compared to the other two Costcos in Winnipeg.

I love Costco but hate Costco. It is way too busy there. I hate going there now. All of Manitoba shops at this location. Costco, it is time to put a new location in the north or Southeast.

Kirkland signature... Bulk foods... Super friendly staff, especially Derek. There is a receipt checker at the exit that takes his job a bit too seriously and really backs up the traffic.

Amazing experience at Costco on Regent. Purchased a large quantity of flooring and Derek and Jerry came to hand bomb it into our vehicles for us. What fine gentlemen! Thanks again guys!

I like to go to Costco stores in Winnipeg since they provide quality products at reasonable prices. The parking spots are nice and wide so that I can get out of my vehicle comfortably.

It's a Costco They are all about the same. Lines are long, but exchange is easy (once you get though the line) and samples are extremely effective, found new foods the kids liked.

the regent location is the best, everything is laid out perfectly, and their parking lot is 10x better than the others. even when its busy, the cashier lines dont take long

Quite a Hectic environment, and they somehow make long lines move fast. Everything is semi easy to find with signs that always point you in the right direction.

Costco need to hired more security personnel to check customers after they finish shopping and leaving, there is always a back up of customers at the exit door.
