I visited Runners Need as I have usually purchased my running shoes from here. I find that the staff in the shop are really knowledgeable and pleasant so keep on returning. On this occasion they once again performed gait analysis and confirmed I needed neutral trainers. As they didn't have any types that I liked, I had to go directly to Adidas who had a special offer for the kind of trainer I wanted. The sales guy was very nice about this so I felt I had to purchase something (of use to me) and I bought the easy-pull laces for my new Adidas trainers. One thing is for sure; I will always call in to Runners Need before going elsewhere when I need sporting goods (especially for running and walking).

I spent nearly £400 about 3 years ago on the most ill fitting boots. The guy that fitted them was rubbish. Said there was only one boot I could buy and fitted me with expert boots even though i'm a beginner. I was ready to throw these boots until I met Richie. He adjusted them once for me (still agony) then went out of his way to sort them again. They now feel ok. Richie mopped up my previous poor service, he was professional, knowledgable, had a lovely way about him and was really laid back. Proper service from a really nice guy. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a good boot fitter, I just wish he's been there first time round

The smoothest running shoes buying experience so far! Usually it takes 1-3 hours until I find something that fits, but I came here, was asked what I'm looking for, told about my pronation, running strike patterns, feet size and width, waited a bit, the guy came back with 3 options, tried them, the second one fit me perfectly and bought it. It was even cheaper than on manufacturers website. If all shopping experiences were like this, world would be a better place! Super happy about the experience, will definitely come back again :)

Went for a gait analysis as getting bad knee pain when running. Abbey was super helpful and talked through what I was looking to get out of it and how each shoe affected my stride in different ways. Turns out I’ve been running in shoes which are a size too small and that offered no support whatsoever. So I’ve now got some shoes which are correctly sized and with the correct type support so all being well no more knee pain!

Went in to get a new rucksack but hadn't visited this store before so wasn't sure if they would have what I was looking for. Very pleasantly surprised to see the range of products they had that have me some really good options. Staff were really helpful, knowledgeable and talked to me about my requirements and were just great. Left the store with a new rucksack and very pleased with my experience.

The staff are great. Guaranteed they will be able to help you with everything you need. I was super nervous about going in as I have no clue, staff were really approachable and friendly. We're able to help me with what I needed and explain everything really well. I really felt looked after! Would definitely recommend this place, especially for first timers/ beginners.

Great selection of items across disciplines. Recent experience of staff for footwear was great, great knowledge of footwear but also friendly and provided useful advice for upcoming holiday destination where they had also been. With Snow + Rock merging with the likes of Cotswold there is greater choice available without having to go to other stores if ordered in.

Matthew was so wonderful today he was extremely polite, professional and friendly. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgable about what socks/shoes I needed for the particular countries i’m travelling to. Also, gave great advice on which backpack would be best suited depending on my needs and gave some good tips about how frequently to wash socks when away

What a great system they have for the ease of us the customer. I ordered and paid for my item on their website for collection at this the nearest store to were I live. This was during the Christmas/new year period, so was extremely happy that the item could have been collected within a couple hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Snow and rock is one of those amazing shops that sells all the very best kit. Does mean it's a little on the he costly side, but bargains can be found here. They mostly sell snow sports clothing here, or at least they did. But now there is a fantastic bike shop up stairs. Staff are always helpful and welcoming here.

I needed some advice on ski boots and this guy really knows his stuff. He took his time and explained all aspects of boot fitting and took detailed measurements. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to get expert advice and recommendation on which boots are the best for your foot shape. Many thanks Luke!

Visited today to buy technical clothing for my daughter. We spent about 2 hours trying clothes under the exceptional guidance of Niall! His knowledge was excellent, but his patience impressed me greatlly; thank you Niall for all your help. It goes without saying really that I recommend this store.

I called in here to enquire about a pair off mountaineering gloves, I was surprised they didn't stock what i was looking for. First impressions when entering the shop, nice selection of clothing all nicely spread out the staff were polite, I don't think I'll be calling back anytime soon.

By the looks of it I'd be surprised if this place is still open much longer. Saturday afternoon, I was literally the only one in the place, upstairs now closed off too. Only returning something to runners need, staff friendly and helpful......not much else to say really.

Part of the Cotswold Outdoor chain, with some nice kit on offer. The staff are always helpful but their prices tend towards the premium end. Definitely a place to go if expert advice is required such as boot fitting or getting kitted out for an adventure.⛺️ …

Went for running shoes and the assistant was very helpful...3 different makes but found the one that suited...unfortunately didnt have the size but called the store in trafford and they had them...also told us about the sale for today only price...great service …

I ordered a pair of trainers in the basis they'd arrive in 1-3 days. 9 days later they are still not in. Staff said they'd chase and ring me, neither of which they did. No explanation, down 50 quid and lost a week of marathon training in proper shoes.

Okay, its a standard Snow and Rock, but living in Chorlton it is very useful before I clear off to Wales for the weekend as I escape Manchester. The most useful thing about it for me is that they stock Arcteryx and some Sweet clothing.

Visited specifically for Runners Need. Staff really helpful but was disappointed with the selection of running shoes. Luckily was able to try on a few and pick the best fit but didn't have my size so ended up buying online.

I go there because they allow pets in and are pet friendly, so I take my three dogs in , let them sniff about a bit, then leave without ever buying anything. The staff are friendly so my dogs love the place

Snow and Rock always have the latest and greatest outdoor equipment. This store is always empty and there are always staff on hand to help you out. Oh and it has a car park! What more could you ask for?

It’s difficult to know why this store exists. The shop was completely empty and has been on the couple of occasions I’ve visited, despite this the staff seem completely disinterested in helping you.

This is by far the best place I've found in Manchester for bike repairs. Very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and approachable. Really good value for money on repairs as well

Too much of the stock was in the sale ie clothes that they couldn't shift normally. Was just a sprinkling of clothes that people actually wanted to buy.
