I guess libraries have changed in the last few years or something. My only positive about the place is that it looks pretty neat and it's fairly clean. Do NOT come here to study unless you don't mind the noise. I stay here for hours every week and have to blast my noise cancelling headphones with music because more often than not, there are children crying/shouting/screaming. The people in the cubicle areas have, for the most part been quiet and i'm assuming they're also studying. But of course the ceilings are tall and shouting from one side of the library seeps into the quieter side. It honestly sounds more like playground than your traditional "library". Every library I've been to prior, (at least 10) has been quiet or has designated quiet areas for study that are, you know, actually quiet. Unfortunately, this is the most convenient library closest to me. I would gladly have booked the "study rooms" or separate rooms except they don't have individual ceilings so you hear just as much as not being in those rooms. Not really sure what the point of those are aside from talking to whoever else you book it with and having more space.
This is the second time we’ve popped into this branch. I go with my 4 and 6 y/o and their children’s area is amazing. They also put if always from the adult seating so the children can actually play without you having to constantly tell them to quiet down.
I use this place as it’s about the only option I have around me. It’s quite noisy everyday but it’s something i’ve come to realise is a norm as it’s also like a community centre. The issue is that noise still filters into the “quiet spaces”
It's more like a daycare/study area than a library. LOTS of children around, which isn't a bad thing, they were relatively quiet, but they have a very small selection of books and no real organization (general fiction, general nonfiction).
Such a welcoming public space. Lively without being too distracting, friendly without being in your face. Diverse, safe, and inclusive. Lots of natural light, a variety of seating options, they even have meeting rooms you can book! It's an
Country Hills Library is just close to the North Pointe terminal. It has lots of resources and it's free to use but you need to register. Registration is free and a library card will be given. You are expected to come with the card at all
This a good size library, especially for children and parents. It has good selection of books. I like the way new and prominent books are displayed at the front of the library. Like other libraries in the city it also has various programs
I enjoy being in this library. It's always busy, especially in the afternoon and evening. People come here to socialize, participate in various events, and, of course, read books. I like that they have meeting/studying rooms where you can
A great little library with big windows and excellent reading/study space. They have a good selection books, games, DVD's and other resources well. Helpful staff! Also great areas for the kids and kids programming.
I like change in this library. The librarian that helped me was very kind and I am very thankful with the help and I got what I needed fine on the computer. I like the library from all other libraries in Calgary.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. I find that there are fewer kids toys and activities out in comparison to other libraries. You have a great kids area, take advantage of the space!
This library bit noisy and crowded most of the time, but it is equipped with a great seating arrangement. It has a very kind and friendly staff.
loved the calm atmosphere. staff were very helpful too. wide selection of books and modern amenities. plenty of reading nooks
A bit noisy but has enough space to sit and work. You can decide to sin in group study area or in rooms.
Great place. Busy location. Vivo is onsite for recreation. Always clean environment. Respectful staffs.
This library is always very busy. Staffs are helpful. Good collections of books and other resources.
It’s clean but there are a lot of kids yelling all the time. The washrooms also are…very gross.
Nice clean library. Sometimes very noisy though with lots of kids.
