I had to go because of a jury summons. But I haven't been feeling well and had lots of things on my mind, so I was completely out of sorts. Which leads me to my entrance and the metal detectors, which I COMPLETELY forgot to factor into my visit. (Just about everything I had on was metal!) Thankfully, the guards who work there are kind and helpful (and extremely patient because I kept forgetting all the metal I was wearing, yet they just smiled and had me move to the wand-bearer, who laughed with me on my forgetfulness as he passed the wand over me). The lawyers... well, they're lawyers, right? Rather rude and detached as if deigning the lowly commoners (read: anyone who's NOT a lawyer) a mere smile or nod of recognition would make them ill. Oh, well. ♀️ Anyway, that's all I can say about my day at the courthouse.
1 star for free parking (if validated). However, its 2018! Santa Clara county is known to be a high tech industry! There should be a mobile application in which an individual can see or receive a notification if his or her panel for Jury Duty has been dismissed or called. It's a waste of our time to wait in the waiting room for 4-6 hours to hear that our panel got dismissed.. For those who have never been to jury duty, I recommend bringing a book or a lap top or something that will keep you conpany.
Was summoned for Jury Duty on the 2nd floor. Super racist Latino guy. Told me to scanned in my summons. I scanned in. It made a sound, then he told me to stay in line and have the other lady check me in. She told him that I'malreadychecked in. He then walk up to me and said in a very condescending tone. " Why did I stand in line for. If you already checked in?". Having a racist individual representing our Justice System? What a shame.
Being summoned as a juror. Very few individuals like to be called for this duty. However, one could take this opportunity to learn how the court system works. The place has wifi for people to log on while waiting. There is a break room with microwave oven. There are vending machines that sell drinks, fast foods. If one is driving, remember to take the parking ticket to jury office to have it validated.
Went to deliver an impact statement. The sentencing side of the building looks run down. The floor tiles look like they are asbestos from the 60s. The restroom floor mosaic tiles are so dirty that I doubt a power washer to clean them. Did not see a handicap seating area inside the quart room. On a positive note the officers that check you in were friendly and polite.
I domt know who's boss needs to read this...but I went to the courthouse today and saw 5 cockroaches IN the building in different areas, 5! One was on the ceiling! One was seriously as big as a rat! Come on San Jose!!! Clean it up!!! Do better!!
They sentenced me to 12 years in prison for murder but I was framed by the police and district attorney who were jockeying for the political capital they would gain by solving a prominent crime. +1 star for easy parking, and they validate.
Commissioner Ben Williams. What I can say. He is a bitter man all around. Was at Dept 42, and instead of being the judge, he seems to be more of a prosecutor. I suppose he figured that the fines he imposes will partly fund his salary.
World class service with a smile. This pre-booking resort has the best of whatever your looking for. They even supply silver bracelets to make you feel more fancy when you enter your new vacation.
Much of jury duty selection should be done via internet survey instead of wasting people's time with an in-person visit lasting half of a day.
Guards was friendly and helpful always nice to see a smile when things are not always good shouts out to the officers of santa clara county
I think everything is possible for the future with the goal of dreams I did survive my Life time challenges to be around you!!!!!
Nightmare. Packed assembly room no where to sit because not enough chairs no ventilation and people coughing all over.
Parking is not good at all on that side of the street. The building is beautiful, employees are most nice and helpful.
This is a pedestrian walkway. It helps keep people safe from the parking lot to the Hall of Justice. …
had to go for jury duty.. the court could use a new set of chair, hopefully they will fix the ac as well
I'm glad the D.A. got it right and drop off my Charges. God Bless America no one above the law …
This is where dreams come to die. On the upside, the Jury Pool staff was REALLY nice!
My daughter had court for beating up the "LOS GATOS PARTY MOM" amongst other things.
Siempre muy atentos tanto los oficiales como el resto del personal ❤ …
Fast Security check and entry. Clerk office was expeditious and helpful
Poor check in service for potential Jurors.
Courtroom 42 was too hot to wear a blazer.
Criminally Corrupt and Incompetent
Unbelievably frustrating website
traffic hard to find a parking.
Great Stay back in the day.
It's a typical Court House.
