Extremely disappointed and DO NOT RECCOMEND! I walked in with photos of what I wanted to give myself a blonde look, my appointment started at 1.30pm and the main hair dresser came in and stood shocked at my photo and said "you're kidding me right" this was then followed by a huge lecture about how damaged my hair was because I used box dyes and how my hair could not be fixed it was too damaged and made me feel like I stuffed everything up and nothing could help me. Naturally I dye my hair brown and seeing as how he rudely talked me out of going blonde I told him to just stick to touching up my current brown colour instead. When I said this he turned around to say "no, I know what you're like and you are going to walk out and go to another salon in 2 weeks and dye it blonde, you change your mind too much I can tell" (keep in mind I have never been before, he does not no me at all). This made my feel so uncomfortable and everyone in the shop heard him. After sticking up for myself and explaining that I wanted brown seeing as the blonde was obviously not going to work, he finally agreed to go forward with the dying process at 2.30pm (lectured me for an hour) . When he walked off to prepare the dye he took his time talking casually to all the customers, talking to his friends in the back corner of the shop and laughing looking over at me as I sat in the chair for 30 minutes waiting for him. Whilst he did this one of the receptionist came up and apologised for his actions towards me. When returning to actually dye my hair (1 hour and a half into the appointment) he was extremely rough pulling my hair back and pressing hard on my head to squish the dye in, in addition I told him I had two new cartilage piercings to be careful of which got a comb and pushed right past my ear (incredibly painful, only had in for 2 days) . After 20 mins of leaving the hair dye in and finally getting it rinsed it was around 3.30pm and eariler I decided to pay for a blow dry as well but because it took 2 hours in total when the appointment only should have taken 45mins to an hour, I ended up having to leave in a rush to attend other commitments with my hair partly dry! I strongly strongly advise not going here, I have never felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome and judged in my life

I visited Cov hair bar yesterday, I asked for a hair colour similar to the photo of the right (my hair WAS strawberry blonde), I showed the hairstylist the photo and he said he would defiantly be able to help me achieve this look. He told me the colour may not be as vibrant but will defiantly not be darker than the colour in the photo. As he was applying the colour on my hair I expressed my concern that the colour was looking slightly dark, I was reassured that the colour of the oxidisation process was nothing like the end result, he SEEMED very confident with what he was telling me. 2 and half hours later I was put back in front of the mirror and the colour of my hair was NOTHING like the colour I had requested. I was extremely upset and was reassure that it would fade and would become lighter with a couple of washes. I paid a hefty $300 for a colour I was VERY unhappy with, I proceeded to expressed my disappointment. I was given a full refund for what happened, after being pulled out the front of the salon and almost abused by the salon owner he apologised but also told me that the colour of my hair was what I asked for. I took his advice and have washed a couple of times hoping to see some fading. I have posted a photo of what my hair now looks like... A faded gross brown colour. I do NOT recommend this place whatsoever.

I just had to leave a review. I made an appointment for a mask and hair cut but wasn’t aware that Yoav wasn’t there (I only trust my hair with him as I have had tons of issues in the past, I have thick and lots of hair so quite carefull with hairdressers in general because of bad experiences). So there is this other hairdresser there, I think his name is Remi? As I said before I didn’t know that Yoav was on holidays so I wasn’t planning on adventuring with a new hairdresser today. Anyways, I chose to give it a go and trusted that he will do a good job so I explained to him what I wanted and was needing. He took such a good care of the whole process (as I said I have lots of hair) and took his time to leave my hair looking A-mazing. I am really happy with the results and I will definitely come back to have another go with him again. The stuff was chilled and friendly. The person that gave me the mask treatment also gave me an honest advice on how to continue treating my hair for the results I am perusing so without really planing to try something new I am quite stoked with the results.

So my last review appears to have dissapeared and I think it's important to warn people of going here. This place gave an absolutely terrible experience for my friend. She was near to tears the whole time due to the vulgarity and rudeness from the owner - saying she would look "like a pancake" after her request of a fringe (which she had been so excited for the past few weeks) and refused to cut the style she asked for. He then proceeded to insult her hair saying it was dirty and damaged, holding up strands of her hair showingly expressing his distaste. He also posted a humiliating post afterwards that was directed to "fake blondes" exclaiming for them to come in with clean hair, which just continued her angst. So she sat through the whole session shocked at his rudeness with $330 taken out of her pocket and leaving completely disheartened. Highly recommend not going here, expensive and judgemental in its entirety.

Have been getting my hair styled by Yoav for about 6 years while living in Sydney, following him from his prior salon. He is absolutely brilliant with hair, and while he has strong opinions about what works best for your hair and face, he’s spot on and will always advise against something that may turn into a soccer mom bob if untamed at home—a welcome change to those who just follow orders given I’m no hair expert! I even stopped in three days before moving to a new country to get my hair cut by him so I could give myself time to find a new stylist in my new city. Marlon the salon pup is also adorable and often comes around for a pat. :)

This is a local salon near my work that I have visited multiple times. Yoav is excellent. Very experienced and I also appreciate his directness and honesty in telling me if something isn't likely to work for my hair. Everything he has recommended has turned out brilliantly. I also love that they can almost always fit me in at short notice and they have extended hours which makes it easier to come after work. I love coming here and would highly recommend it.

Genuinely enjoyed this experience. The owner was straight talking and is probably the only person who has been honest with me about the state of my hair in my whole life. It felt so cool to be in the presence of people who do hair differently. If you take yourself too seriously it might not be the place for you. If you’re open minded and trust the professionals then COV will be your one and only hair salon for life. Oh - and the result was amazing.

My absolute favourite salon - Yoav is the best for honest and professional advice! It's sad that some people take this as criticism and offensive as I've read in reviews below as he knows what he's talking about! Such a fun salon with attentive yet relaxed staff. Does great natural colour, toners are amazing and perfect cuts! Seriously recommend - have one friend on board and another one to come! You'd be crazy not to try it out.

Could not be happier with COV. First time I went there a showed 2 photos and said I wan't a combination of both. Got exactly what I wanted first time and every time since. I have never gone to a salon more than once as I'm never happy. Now I go to COV every time. I always feel welcome, great customer service. They aren't just hairdressers, they are artists, passionate about what they do. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Cov for years and I would never bother going anywhere else again. Yoav is the only person who has been able to cut my thick hair properly. He is honest but he knows what he’s talking about! Remi is also amazing & Bree is a master at the grey coverage. I like Yoav because he’s always innovating and looking for new things. I always feel at home when I’m in the salon.

Georgie at Cov hair did an amazing job with my wash and blowdry last week! I went on Saturday afternoon to get a blowdry and curl. On the Sunday I trained for 3 hours in the heat and my curls still remained. On the Tuesday they still looked freshly done! Georgie did an amazing job with making sure my hair held the curls! I won’t be going anywhere else

This place is ridiculous, they say they will call with your name on a wait list but then advertise the appointment on the ig stories instead , on top of that they make you wait months offer an appointment finally and then give it away even though you respond in less than a couple hours , poor way of showing potential customer appreciation, avoid at all costs

I feel like I’m being listened to and finally have a team journeying me away from the blonde highlight trap. My hair is now sexier and healthier than ever. Hands down the best hair salon I've ever been to. Have been going to Cov for four years and will never look back. Best colour, best cuts and best staff. There is also the added bonus of Marlon, the blue cattle dog who hangs at the shop most days. Cov also plays great music so the shop always has a good energy. The best!!!!

Had a men’s hair cut recently with JP and without a doubt the best cut I’ve ever had, I have pretty untameable hair but it’s been 2 weeks since my cut and my hair has honestly never looked or felt better. Highly highly recommend! Thanks Jeep!

Asked for a simple trim, the hairdresser took it upon himself to hack at my hair and give me the most intense layers, there are sections of my hair genuinely missing because he had "new scissors". Still recovering 6 months later.
