Got a unit at this place for one rate a few months back. A few weeks ago, I got a notice that there would be a rate increase: nothing too crazy, right? Prices change all the time. I did the math and my rate has raised by 20%. I sent two emails to inquire why this raise was happening and got no reply. I had to call. The hourly who answered helped as much as they could, but this was not much. They offered that this was to match the demand of the market; of course, when I asked whether I should expect the rate to increase or decrease, they were unable to answer my question. While I can understand an incremental increase to match the market, raising a price by a fifth feels completely unbalanced. I would give one star for this practice, but the space itself has been reliable. It really is unfortunate that this financial piece has to come up, because before this, I was quite satisfied with my experience here. When one pays monthly for a service, one expects certain levels of consistency. That is no longer something I expect from this business.

Getting the unit was easy and the woman who helped us was nice. They offer military discount which is nice but the process to get it is ridiculous. I had to fill out paperwork then take it back to my unit and have them fill it out too. I went without the discount because I’d rather just show my military ID which was available. Do not store your stuff here!!!! Every time we went to check on our unit it was dead mice everywhere including find one in our unit. We told the front office and they came to pick it up but did not fix the problem because on our last day it was still dead mice and mice droppings everywhere. I watch ppl move out of there unit and clean mice poop off all their stuff before loading. I had to spend about $50 on rodent deterrence and traps. I did not have a mouse in the unit after but shouldn’t have these issues. You’re gonna pay about $135 a month for a unit in a building with a mouse infestation, no garbage available, and limited access to your belongings.

First, I was very impressed with the facility, all new, all clean, all climate controlled. Thereafter, everything went very nicely. The manager was friendly and accommodating. So now I have a storage space. I like it very much and hopefully use it to sort trough my things before I move into a smaller space than my house. I want to mention 2 things that I thought could be changed, first, the manager was in a lengthy meeting with the company and therefore could not pay attention to me and to the meeting. I suggest to hold such meetings outside of office hours rather than closing the facility when it should be open. Second was the bathroom. I got lost in the maze of the storage facility until logic told me to look close to an exit, bingo. Signs might help!

AFS is a brand new, climate controlled facility which is what interested me. When I called for information, the customer care agent was amazing. She was very informative and patient with me as I played 20 questions. She reserved our unit and scheduled a time for us to go in the next day. The following day, we went in to sign the paperwork. Who knew that the process could be so simple and quick? Now, you do! Great customer service, Clay. It was a pleasure meet you. Clay actually walked us over to our locker and showed us where the restroom is. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of Affordable Family Storage. Stop in for your storage needs. You won't be sorry.

Im truly convinced most of the good reviews are staged. This storage unit will not work with you bc it’s a pandemic so let’s began there. You will loose everything and they will quickly profit. You cannot make online payments which is so convenient. If you get paid on Thursday you will not be able to make a payment til next day, unless you get paid earlier enough on Thursday. You will be charge a late fee. So if you can’t reCh anyone than expect to pay late fee because there is no 24 hour payment option like uhaul. I can’t wait to remove my items from this place, I will never use or recommend to anyone. Oan by the way the access door is always jacked up after hours.

Apparently they just changed randomly from Affordable family storage and didn't notify any of their clients beforehand and clearly after. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to get into contact with customer service. Just for their payment system to not be set up so I couldn't get into my storage at all. We drove over an hour to get to the storage and paid for our Uhaul just for us to have wasted gas and several hundred dollars just for them to not be able to help at all. I never had this issue before the switch. Now I'm being forced to pay for another month instead of being able to get my stuff.

The stay was knowledge, informative and “REAL”!! I fully understood the process and there is personal contact if there’s any problems. The facility is clean and has no lingering smell. There’s plenty of space to maneuver items, and dolly’s to help the move go easier. The best rates and flexibility in the area. Marcia is the best, she explained the process of how I could lose my unit, wayyyy better than the 1800 number. I was told I would lose my unit. Turns out that wasn't true. She showed patience and understood what I was saying. She listened to my sob story with in reason, but re-assured me there is a possibility if you don't pay within the companies guidelines. Thank you for giving me reassurance helping me understand with no malice.

I have actually never been here and have never rented a storage unit from the facility I have just driven by numerous times on my way to somewhere else. Hard for me to want to rent storage facility since I've had bad experiences with people stealing my things or stealing my keys and changing storage units with my belongings but if I ever use it I'll make sure to put a review on here and let you know what I think about it

I had a storage unit here for 6 months. I’m pleased with how my belongings were climate controlled and dry when I found them. But the absolute best thing about the experience was the service I received from Jaymal. He went above and beyond to make sure my checkout process was smooth, easy, and he deserves a raise and a promotion for how caring and thoughtful he is. Highly recommend this storage facility.

Everything I needed to know was clearly explained. The units are clean and accessible. My only concern is the wire mesh covering the top, which will only prevent honest people from cutting and entering, but with 24/7 monitoring that problem becomes mute. Reserved a unit online, went to location to pay for unit and sign paperwork and the property manager was there walking around the office, but refused to open the door or answer the phone and it's been 2 days and still no reply to my voice-mail. Good thing they didn't get any money from me. Place had mountains of trash and furniture behind the store. Glad I found elsewhere fast!

Very simple to get things set up. The associate who processed our order was very informative and easy to work with. I love the fact that the storage units are indoors. Place is very well kept and closely guarded. Family Storage was recommended to me by my brother-in-law; and it turned out to be everything I was told. Prices are reasonable, too!

It was a very easy & simplistic experience. I set things up online & ended up coming in much earlier than I had scheduled. Everything was explained to me very clearly & concisely. This is the first time that we have had to rent a storage unit and the office staff was very friendly and accommodating! Very willing to answer all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable storing my family’s belongings. Facility very clean, and well maintained.

There is mice that eat through your things and we also weren’t able to use the dumpsters. We pay all that money and can’t even throw things away which was just ridiculous to me. Like people are moving or downsizing, ofcourse we should be able to throw things away.

Incredible experience. Abigail recently took over as manager and is fantastic - she really cares about tenants and their needs. Facility is clean and easy to get in and out of. I feel good about keeping my valuables here and supporting their business.

Went into the building to check my unit and there was a homeless man sleeping in one of the entrances and the door opens for anyone who walks up. No security code was needed and no one on the premises was present to even monitor the situation.

I was able to walk in and get assisted right away, as this rental was a spur of the moment thing. I've never rented a storage unit before, but needed to remove items from a rental property and store them; so I didn't know what to expect.

The facility was very clean and the staff very professional. Storage area is conveniently located inside the facility a and there are moving flat beds available to use when needed. We are totally pleased and impressed.

Been here 3+ years. Many of the issues I have had in past are now being addressed. If people would stop propping open the doors the issues would stop.

Unfriendly workers, can’t get your items out without being yelled at due to opening the door too much, smells and there were mice running everywhere.
