I ordered briyani which was over R100 on Friday, 26 August as soon as I opened the container the rice had an off smell, i felt the rice and it was sticky and wet and stuck to my fingers, like how it gets when it's off. I tasted very little to confirm if it was off and it was just awefull - completely inedible. I was disappointed and raged as it was 8pm and we were starved and just served with off food. I sent a complaint on Mr D immediately and to date, all I've received are automated MR D messages with no feedback from the restaurant and No refund which I belive I'm entitled to. I had to throw that food away. This place deserves a zero rating for poor quality food. They shouldn't be operational If they don't do quality checks on their food before it leaves.

My husband and I have ordered from Curry Junction a few times over the past 6-8 months. We typically always order the Chicken Madras with Butter Naan and the Lamb Curry which comes with Rice. Initially the food was always tasty and of great quality - the last 2-3 occasions we have ordered though have been terribly disappointing:( The curry base has suddenly started tasting too sweet and is not the usual taste standard we were accustomed too. I even tried the Durban Style Curry 2 nights ago and it tasted no different to the normal Lamb Curry so why have them both as options? For the price point, its just not worth it and unfortunately we would rather try and source a better tasting curry spot. On a positive note though - the portion sizes are decent and the food is always delivered hot and quickly.

What a pity!! Supported the restaurant often due to the food quality. Ordered today and what a change - when we collected the one naan bread was wrong. Had to wait for a new one. When we got home we discovered the other naan was left out. The food wasn't packed properly and the gravy had spilled all over each other. Problem is my girlfriend is vegetarian so this was big problem!!! To add the food was really poor. Really not with the trip to ho there!

Last Friday, I happened across this little restaurant by complete chance! The service was quick and efficient and the owner/manager was polite and conversational. But the food!!! Incredible value for five star North Indian cuisine. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala; Butter Chicken and Garlic naan. WOW!! I will not both with the various offerings scattered around Honeydew and surrounds who are over priced an delivery small portion sizes. Curry Junction is definitely my new go-to! Keep it going guys, you're the best!

Anyone can open a takeaway BUT only an experienced, true Punjabi can run a successful, authentic Indian restaurant/takeaway. Owner run and it shows. Genuine tandoori spices, tasty paneer and the best biryani in the West. The desserts round off a hearty, filling meal. If you're brave and want genuine "Indian hot" instead of "hot" for the masses, speak to the chef and he'll "make a plan". Wait times given are realistic and food is always ready when you get there to pickup.

Today was the first time I ate from Curry Junction. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was without it being hot and burny. They used the right combination of spices to enhance the flavour. Their medium heat is perfect for my palate. I tried the Chicken Biryani (no bones) and paneer makhini with garlic naan. Highly recommended. I will be back for more....

Wow, always looking for good samosa’s and I have found the place. They are amazing, just as the owner said they would be. It was not oily, raw or empty. They were big portions and absolutely full of flavor and filling. The coriander spicy dipping sauce it so delicious. We just want more. If the Samosas are this good, I can only imagine how good their other food is.

I did not expect the food to be this good. I am not a huge meat lover and don't buy curry just anywhere. So upon tasting The Mutton Curry I was really impressed. Fat cut off. Deboned as requested and the meat was very tender and tasty!! Impressive. And thank you to the owners for grear client service. We can tell you guys really care, and its not just another job.

Generally happy with their food but was truly disappointed by the Lamb Bunny Chow. Had sauce for days with 1 small potato and lamb meat was practically non-existent however the hunny was filled with 5 big bones with fat and barely any meat. In essence we had sauce and bread for R130ea. I expected more.. Only upside is that the sauce was full of Flavours

The food is okay, for being Indian but it's overpriced for most of the items, I recently found another shop that's more reasonable with their pricing and ads value for the price you pay.

Bought two chicken biryani's yesterday, we ordered the hot option and it did not disappoint. It had the right amount of spice and delicious. The chicken was soft and tender (could have added more though, but still very enjoyable) Just what the doctor ordered on a freezing cold day …

R145 for butter chicken, and you get a small cup of cooked rice and equal amount watery sauce with the tiniest quantity of cubed chicken. The price is definitely not worth the portion received, sadly.

I have come again and got my meal. Again these guys make the most filling and tasty samusass that I have tasted. The price is just right for the quality you get. Thank you so much for a really good tasty and fresh meal. Thanks guys will be back.

Disappointed, food is great but recently I’ve been sold mutton curry as lamb curry on multiple occasions , And charging lamb prices. Dishonest.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Decent portion sizes for a reasonable price. Our bunnies were loaded with chicken... no skimping here. We were left satisfied and will definitely be frequenting it this winter. Very impressed.

Owner or manager is not the nicest of persons to deal with, food was prepared fast, but lacks flavour, not really worth the price in my opinion.

  • Lyle Heynes

Meh... just ok i guess. My chicken bunny wasn't hot as ordered, chicken was chunky and tough, barely a potato in it, and the gravy wasn't the best.
