I am a brand new rider as of January this year, and who also made their first motorcycle purchase at the same time. I wanted an older bike which looked and felt great, and would make for an excellent bike to learn on. After buying the perfect model I was looking for, I wanted the ability to work on my own bike to develop a new hobby and maintain my new possession. I attempted to complete an oil change, where everything went perfectly until I over tightened my drain plug! It lead to an oil leak which I thought was a rather easy fix.. I redid the oil change, only I added a copper washer, a soft metal, to seal where I thought the leak was coming from. I still failed to solve my problem and I decided to bring my bike into Cycle Dynamics, referenced to me through a co-worker. There were some niche things about the bike I wanted to have looked at anyway, so it fell into perfect timing. I showed my bike to Steve, told him about my attempted oil change, and that I also wanted to have the clutch lever looked at. Upon buying the motorcycle, it never had a pin to keep the lever in place, so at speed it would randomly fly completely open and I'd have to extend my hand a far greater distance to bring it back into place. Steve was able to fix this with ease and the lever has never felt better, and safer, which brings me major peace of mind as a rider. I also wanted my gearshift lever looked at. I very simply had only hoped for Steve to adjust it. It had fallen off it's track.. so badly it would actually rub up against the kick stand.. I would literally have to complete a half lift in between downshifting in order to completely downshift from 5th or 4th, all the way down to neutral or 1st. It was in inconsistent issue but when it was bad.. it was BAD. Where I had hoped only for my gearshift lever to be adjusted, Steve literally REBUILT the transmission. Mine was aged and corroded, completely ready to go and he went above and beyond my expectations as to how I wanted this issue resolved. Riding a motorcycle has never felt more like of a night and day change since I've experienced the before and after of my gearshift lever. Another issue I brought to Steve's attention was the rear break pedal. During a four day trip to Portland, and when my oil leak was still an issue, I was reversing my bike out of a friend's garage where it was stored during our trip. While reversing, my right boot slid completely off balance from an oil puddle I hadn't realized and I dropped the bike on the rear break pedal, completely off track. It was hardly usable. Steve was able to recenter the pedal with ease and it literally preforms even better than before. Now where I went wrong with the oil change is that I put a 2" crack in the oil pan from over tightening. Which meant it wasn't a problem I was going to solve on my own as a novice to engines. Steve was able to diagnose where I went wrong within a day. I visited the shop on Thursday, January 20th, which means on a Friday, Steve was able to place an order for a brand spankin' new oil pan, have it delivered, and execute all of the aforementioned labor by Tuesday, January 25th (this is with two weekend days in between, mind you), all at an extremely fair rate. The aftermath of my Cycle Dynamics experience is that I have never felt both happier and safer as a rider on the road which, to me, should two of any rider's priorities. And after actually having dealt business with Steve, I feel much more qualified to leave a review to encourage new customers to bring their business to Steve as well, rather than others who are too timid to do so after being scared off by a couple of loving dogs who wouldn't harm a fly. In which case I would put into question your willingness to get on a motorcycle in the first place.

Satisfied Customer : I recently took my 1983 CB650 Nighthawk to Cycle Dynamics for a complete top halve engine overhaul, ( valve job, new rings etc..) There are not many shops in the valley who would attempt such an undertaking with such an old bike with part availability being limited and for fear of opening up a "can of worms" when working on an old bike such as this. However, Steve seemed very willing to attempt this project and was very patient while we waited for parts to arrive to be able to complete the work needing to be done. After he disassembled the bike he showed me the condition of the parts needing to be replaced and explained, thoroughly, his game plan for restoring the bike to as good as or better than new running condition. His expertise in what he explained and does led me to complete confidence in his ability to bring life back into to my near dead sport bike which was what I was hoping for when I took it to him for the much needed repairs. The whole process took nearly a month to complete, due to waiting on parts, but the end result was well worth the wait as my newly restored Nighthawk runs better than she ever did before. I am certain that Steve went the extra mile needed to ensure that it did run as good as it does and that he does this with ever undertaking he gets involved with. He truly takes pride in the final outcome which means a great running bike to me and others who rely on him to make it so. His fee was very reasonable and I was not charged for extras I added in during the process. Thanks again Steve for all your help with my bike. Alan H.

Worst service ever. Most of the issues on my motorcycle that I paid them to fix were not fixed. The owners are clearly the problem. Beginning with the unfriendly/unhelpful dog lady whose two mutts growl at you menacingly as you try to check in. Then there’s Steve, who spends a lot of time building himself up while disparaging others. He repeatedly dismissed my concerns about the motorcycle, many of which I would later find to be valid concerns. He insulted me when he said that I have “no business turning a wrench,” a prophecy about his own mechanical competence, it turned out. He disregarded my request to replace a part because of cross threading, then botched an attempt to “correct” the cross threading. He did rebuild the carburetor, and then evidently never took the motorcycle out for a test ride, because it ran worse than it did before I dropped it off. I had to pay another mechanic to correct this incompetence. Finally, when I picked the bike up and signed over more than $600, said owner took a phone call in the middle of the transaction, interrupting me, then waved me away without so much as a thank you after payment cleared. Shortly before all that he assured me that if my motorcycle still doesn’t run well, that he can throw it on the dyno, then line me up with a full exhaust system. What a swell idea: drop a further $1k to solve a simple air/fuel problem. Needless to say, I won’t be going back here. I actively discourage others from giving this place business.

I have a 2002 Honda VTX1800. I’m also a newer rider as well. If you want a true professional that is actually passionate about motorcycles & doing the right thing for the customer and your bike, then Steve is the only guy you need! I found him because of the awesome reviews he has. I took my bike in originally to have it tuned. He was straight forward and told me what to expect when he was done. He was spot on! Fast forward one year (today) I’m preparing for a long ride out of state and didn’t want to worry about anything other than riding while I was gone. He replaced both tires with Dunlop’s, he happened to notice that the fork seals were just starting to leak. I asked him to do a fork job. He told me about these upgraded springs I could get that would give me an even better ride. We talked about it, he explained it to me in a way that I could understand. It made perfect sense to me for what I wanted out of my bike. I said let’s do it then! While he had it all apart he noticed the back brakes needed to be replaced, called me and it made sense to do it now versus waiting and bringing it back later. Bottom line is like I said in the beginning, he is passionate about doing the right thing for you AND YOUR BIKE without any pressure of replacing everything. He works on it like it is his bike! P.S. the bike rides BETTER than new now!

Let me tell you from day one when I walked in the building I have nothing but an amazing experience with Steve such a reliable motorcycle mechanic. I got a few different things done to my Suzuki GSXR 750, an Steve got it running like a charm. I wasn’t sure with a lot of things going on with the bike but Steve was an handle the problems quick fast an in a hurry. A big reason I went with this shop because when I brought the bike to him he gave me tons have help up front which I really appreciate it from him. while he was working he came up to my bike got on the ground just to see how things were looking and really gave me tons of help I appreciate everything. If we are having back problems you better believe we will be coming back to the cycle Dynamics! Thank you for all your help!. It was very much appreciated!

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. If you are taking your bike to anyone else but Steve from Cycle Dynamics, you are making a mistake- he is a master at what he does. I am a relatively new rider and held onto my friend's Ninja 300 for him only to find out my little brother knocked it over when I wasn't around and there was some cosmetic damage on the left side. Usually it would cost almost $1000 to fix (replacing new fairings, decals, etc.). Steve did a phenomenal, quality job and managed to pull it for a little over half the price. It left the shop looking better than it did before anything ever happened to it! I am only taking my bike here from now on and you are doing it wrong if you aren't. Thanks for all the help and being awesome Steve, I'll be back soon!

If you're looking for a honest, trustworthy, experienced mechanic to work on your "baby", look no further. Cycle Dynamics is the best in the valley, hands down. Let me tell you why. First off, Steve treats your vehicle like it's his own. Second, he doesn't bullshit you, he tells you what you need to get it running again. Third, he tells you what he recommends you need (which I recommend you take his advice). I've brought my bike to him twice, and was more than satisfied with his work every single time. I've never given a 'Google' review, but I felt the need to go out of my way and let all of you know this is the place you need to go for all your mechanical needs. Cycle Dynamics is the real deal.

My 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 didn't run well at all. After sitting for many months the gas had turned bad. Some Sea Foam helped but it failed emissions. I've been buy parts like brake pads, filters from Steve for a couple of years, so he was my first call. Steve knew exactly what it was and gave me a price for rebuilding the carb. When I took it in we decided to give it a full service. He adjusted the price and levelled it out with the carb rebuild. Best of all, it was done within a few short days and, they took it in for the emissions test as part of the deal. My bike runs like new again. If you're looking for fast, reliable service at a fair price Cycle Dynamics is the best choice in my book.

  • Dustin 'DT' Turnbull

Motorcycle Magician!! I have taken my ride to Steve multiple times now, for new tires, brakes, full service, dyno tuning, and repairs. Every time I get my bike back it's been improved. I bought my '03 VTX 1800 used in 2009, and at this point Steve has made it even better than when I bought it (and I was impressed back then). Cycle Dynamics is the only place I will take my bike now. The work is excellent as well as the customer service. Steve truly cares about motorcycles, and just wants to see your bike run and look it's best. He seems to care about every bike that comes in almost as if it was his own. I am truly impressed!!

  • Shishir Rao

I actually didn't get anything fixed here, but I went to get my bike looked at because I thought it felt funny. He came out checked out my bike, took it for a spin and told me that I was probably just overthinking it. He even talked me through what it could be and that if I was feeling something, it was going to be too slight for him to really do anything about. Didn't ask for a cent. Other places would have charged annoying diagnostic fees and whatnot. He was very nice and completely honest and to the point. I would definitely take my bike to him if there was something wrong with my bike. Great service!!

  • Daniel Beaudry

I bought an 99 Roadstar that had issues from the start. The worst trouble the carb. I added a rebuilt it and then it ran even worse. Then I took to Cycle Dynamics. He new right away what most of the trouble was. Once he took the carb apart he found the parts I installed were Chinese built and didn't fit right and springs to week. Funny I bought the kit from a local Yamaha dealer. They ordered the parts needed and even came in and worked on the 4th of July to get my bike done. I was shocked when I received a call on the 4th to come get my bike. I highly recommend them for anyone needing motorcycle repair.

  • Hiking Arizona

Excellent motorcycle repair shop. Had my Suzuki in twice this year (separate issues) and both times the work was done at a competitive price and in a timely manner. Great customer communication - he took the time to explain exactly what happened and what needed to be done. The work was very thorough and the both issues were fixed the first time. Would highly recommend as a trusted location to take your bike in. I'm very cautious where I get my motorcycle serviced in terms of being ripped off/unnecessary repairs and this shop is very trustworthy in my opinion.

  • Mitchell Begg

I had a broken 250 four stroke and brought it to Steve at cycle dynamics. He did not only get it fixed, but he truly took the time to explain how to have the best experience on a dirt bike and fixed just about everything possible to have it ride nice. Steve truly cared about a new rider like myself getting the most out of what I had. I can’t thank him enough for the work he put into my bike and the things he taught me around dirt bike riding. Any problems I have in the future with any motorized bicycle, I am calling Steve first. Thank you Cycle Dynamics!

  • Evan Kincaid

Steve and his team have been servicing my motorcycles since 2008! I've experienced the 'run-a-round' with dealership service departments and NOTHING compares to the personalized service I receive from Cycle Dynamics! Their approach to diagnostics, attention to detail, timely repairs, and affordable service is why I continue doing business with them. After recently moving I now drive an hour + to get my rides serviced. I appreciate the integrity of Cycle Dynamics, and having a business I can trust and rely on. Thank you Steve & Chris!!

  • Mahmoud Fahoum

WOW!!! I'm not over exaggerating, this place is the best place to go if you really want your bike fixed ,or tuned ,,just fantastic results, I was expecting to put alot more into my bike while trying to resolve an issue then I came here and my bike was fixed in record time and was simply astounded on the quality of service here, now my bike runs better then ever and with not even one single issue,....this is the go-to place if you dont want to waist your money and time... very affordable and they get straight to the point. ...

  • Donnie S

Can't express how pleased I am with the guys at Cycle Dynamics. Brought my 82 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim in with an acceleration problem. They thought it was a quick carb fix, but it ended up being a more complex problem. They kept me up to date, fixed the problem and were VERY reasonable with the cost. I am pleased to say that my bike is running close to perfect as a bike from 1982 should run. I am so glad that I stumbled upon them. Will refer them to anyone who has a motorcycle problem or who just needs work from a honest shop.

  • Lauro C

He is the Leonardo da Vinci of the Motorcycle. If you ever wanted to be lucky enough to have a master mechanic race veteran bless your bike with his skilled hand, Steve is the man to see. His grace and love for the motorcycle is unmatched by all others. You will receive a detailed engineering analysis good enough to be on a doctoral dissertation. If all of my eloquence besets you: Never take your motorcycle any place else. Steve will do it right all the time every time – period end of story. Thank you Steve! L.J.

  • Ryan Crutchley

I brought my harley davidson into cycle Dynamics and found them extremely helpful and professional. I was nervous when he couldn't give a estimate because unforeseen things can happen which I totally get being a tech myself but when I got the bill is was very fair and didn't feel taken advantage of in any way. I would recommend them anytime to anyone and he had it back to me in a very timely fashion. Will not use any other company. Thanks again cycle Dynamics!

  • Edward Cota

Steve is great and this is a shop you can trust! Took my bike in to him before a run to Sturgis. He tuned it, made sure it was road worthy and had that motor humming! Over time, as normal wear and tear happens I keep coming back - This guy goes above and beyond. And.... he's got an awesome memory of the work he's done on your bike(s)! We're lucky to have a shop and owner in town you can trust / depend on. Thanks for everything Cycle Dynamics

  • Jdogg R1

Steve took really good care of me. Took in two of my motorcycles and he noticed one was a very simple fix i somehow overlooked. He could have easily taken it for the weekend and charged me for “work” he did as I’ve had shops do prior trying to rip me off. Steve noticed the simple fix showed me and didn’t charge me for it. He is a good dude who does great work. I Will definitely be bring any work his way if i need in in the future.

  • Lawrence A. Lippincott

Pick up my CBR1000 today and was impressed with the items they performed without me expecting them to do so (brake adjust, greasing the kick stand, tightening the front fork, etc.). Bike went in for a new power commander, battery, annual service, and fork seals. All work performed satisfactorily. It was tuned on the dynometer and it has never run better. They also supplied me with the dynometer readout showing horsepower.

  • Andrea O'Brien

Steve looked at my husband's Suzuki intruder, and he has to be the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic, he felt that the bike was running correctly and didn't need improvement, he did a small tweek and didn't even charge said he felt it wasn't right to do any work to the bike that wasn't needed to just make money and to find an honest person like that is very rear. Highly recommend Steve and his shop to anyone

  • Jason Amos

I'm a newer rider and still learning about motorcycles. I had an issue with the new clutch and brake levers on my bike so I went and saw Steve and he put my mind at ease that they were indeed the property fit and function. He also pointed out a couple of things I didn't know about my bike (I have a Kawasaki Z650). I called a couple of different places and Steve was the easiest to talk to imo. Thanks Steve!

  • cj benavides

Steve at cycle dynamics Went above and Beyond all my expectations. He is priced fairly, and gets the job done effectively and efficiently on time or before he promised. I took my bike in for Front fork seals, and he also adjusted my front brakes and clutch and made sure my tire psi was on point. I would recommend cycle dynamics to anyone who wants their work done correctly for a good ticket.

  • Matthew Cronin

My Hayabusa sand car hasn't run correctly in 16 months. 4 mechanics at one shop, one at another, and two at another have worked on it and I've spent $1800 trying to fix it. It has been on 2 different dynos and had 15 new parts tried. And still it couldn't run right. I dropped it off with Steve and he called to tell me it was fixed before I even got to my next destination! AMAZING!!!

  • Tanner Thurston

Took my XR 250 in after crashing. I thought something on my front end was bent for sure. Steve took a look at the bike and informed me I was mistaken. He was able to adjust and straighten my crooked front tire/forks in about 15 minutes. I will definitely be returning for future needs. To top it off, Steve didn't even charge me a dime. Great service! Thanks Cycle Dynamics!

  • Chris Goerg

Cycle Dynamics is hands down the best motorcycle shop in Phoenix, I don't know why you'd go anywhere else. Steve is the most knowledgeable mechanic I've ever met, and whether it's just getting your bike going, to performance work, to figuring out a problem no one else can, he's got you. I don't trust many people to touch my motorcycle, but Steve is at the top of the list.

  • ALS ROADKING

Thanks Steve for bringing my roadking to life I had taken my bike to another shop for Dyno i was told that that was going to be the best it is going to RUN but had it pinging problem it had 92.12 HP & 108.08 TORQUE After Steve got done i pick up 5 mile to the gallon and now have 97.03 hp &115.84 torque on 106cid king S&S runs great KING OF THE ROAD ONCE AGAIN thank you

  • matthew reynolds

I brought my ST1300 in to have the tires replaced, but it was found the fork was also in bad shape and needed to be rebuilt. Steve did a wonderful job and adjusted the suspension for me. The bike has never rode so good. Thank you Cycle Dynamics for the great work. I also liked that the shop is open early in the morning so it was convenient to drop it off before work.

  • Miles DeCoster

Solid experience getting my forks and shock serviced on a 2014 Daytona. Dropped the bike off on a Monday, had the bike back by Wednesday around lunch time. Also had a new master cylinder installed at the same time. Price was right, Steve was straightforward and stuck to the schedule he quoted me. Will be back. Don't mind the dogs at the front door. They're all bark.

  • Patrick Mosley

Way better than ever expected!! If you think this is a fake post ask him about the gold chopper....he will remember. His words were, "this thing fought me all the way". Yet a short week later I was riding my bike that had so much new life I never existed. I'm so excited about how it runs I will suggest this shop to anyone who needs a tune!!! 5 stars all day!

  • Daniel Lopez

Steve, and the crew at Cycle Dynamics are top notch. Steve helped me find an engine on e-bay and did the install. He really went the extra mile to make sure that things were the best they could be when we got our CBR 600 back. As far as I'm concerned, this is the place to take a motorcycle if you want REAL service, great advice and a fair price.

  • Chris N

*I brought my gsxr 600 to Steve not sure what was up and I've just got to say that he is good!!!! A man of his word, took care of everything and at a good price. I would recommend them to anyone... Thx Steve *update --- Brought the bike back for tires and he did a awesome job even told me about the tires and was really helpful... Thx Again Steve

  • Full Throttle Miele

Steve is a pleasure to work with as he is honest, caring and an expert on motorcycles. I have had two shop experiences and felt each experience was more than fair, honest and above all easy and very affordable. If your looking for an honest up front experience Cycle Dynamics is your place. Expert repairs at extremely affordable rates.

  • joey bratton

This is a test I have done through phone calls. The 3 separate people I have had call in and ask about getting something done on there sport or naked bikes and he does not want the work. This shows lack of confidence in there skills. I wouldn't use a mechanic that seems very unsure of himself. Try another place you won't regret.

  • skyler hand

I'm so happy I found this shop. Steve, his lovely wife their service they provide are second to none. This is a shop that has really shown/proved they give a damn about you . I inadvertantly put him through the ringer and his expertise NAILED IT. I couldn't be happier nor thank them enough. you guys are the best. God bless

  • Edrick F

I Give Steve 10 stars 1st Met Steve back in 2014 had a charging issue with my 1st bike and after spending time and extra $$ Steve found the problem and it was a $19 problem, now he has work on my other bikes and they running GREAT. • AJ Whisler

Extremely knowledgeable on troubleshooting my GSXR 1000. Explained my issue and they fixed it quick. Shop rate is extremely reasonable considering the fast turn around time and amazing quality of work done. Hands down, Cycle Dynamics has earned all of my future business due to the trustworthiness of their work.

  • Tim toft

Steve is an encyclopedia of motorcycle knowledge. Street bikes, dirt bikes and everything in-between. If you have a problem with your ride, bring it to him. He doesn't yank you around, and only settles for fantastic work. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my bikes. Huge plus: he has a dyno
