"Quite disappointed"
"Horrible experience"
"One of the worst services I've had, not exaggerating"
"I have been going to Cycle solutions for 6 years"
"Was there this morning at 10:00 sharp just to ask if I needed an actual appointment to bring my bike in for a flat tire fix or if I could just drop it off anytime"
Quite disappointed. After years of being a customer, having bought at least 4 bikes between my ex partner and I and taking my bike for service every single time, even though I moved to the east end 5 years ago I think my relationship with Cycle Solutions is coming to an end. Just after my last full tune up and other fixes done last week where I spent over $ 150 my beloved bike was stolen from my front porch. After I got over this upsetting situation I thought of Cycle solutions on Parliament for my replacement purchase. One thing that was very important to me were my Dynamo lights that I purchased from them and they also installed on my bike at the time of purchase. Unfortunately they don't carry those anymore and I found similar ones online. When I called to inquiry if they would install them for me if I purchase them online when I buy the new bike from them, the response was "we will have to charge you for that ". After bringing my continued business to them even though is now out of my way, spending money all the time, having my Stolen bike JUST fixed last week and planning to spend another over thousand dollars with them on a new bike, this answer is quite disappointing. And no so much for the cost of installing those lights that I'm assuming will be minimum compared with the overall investment, but more so to realize that I am not valued as a customer at all. So why should I continue to bring my business?? I'm sure that this won't be an impact for them but I have now been recommended Cyclepath as an alternative by friends and I will be taking their advice. I remember that Cycle Solutions used to be this neighborhood store that cared about their customer to become this company that only cares about money and profit and no so much on customer service anymore As I said quite disappointed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Follow Up: I have move my review from 2 stars to 4 due to the prompt response from the manager of that store. He actually called me today to apologize and to assure me that they take this concerns and feedback seriously and make changes on the way they deal with customers. I will consider once again this store for my future purchases. Thank you for listening.
Horrible experience. I would give it zero stars even. Never again. He threw me out for asking how long it takes to fix the bike more than once, without giving an estimate. It should be noted that person picking up the phone prior to coming assured me it'll be done end of day or next day. Being stressed out is not a reason to be absolutely rude. Horrible horrible. Don't go. Not worth it. I called twice to voice my disappointment with the service and the employee HUNG UP on me TWICE. Emotional intelligence and customer service lessons are required for all staff of this store. Very rude. My friends and I will NOT be going there EVER. Also, reading the replies to all the negative reviews was interesting. He never admits faults or gets off his high horse. It's everyone's problem but his. Keep this up and you'll keep losing more clients. Good job. Update: I had asked 3 times in total. First was a rough estimate. The answer was different than stated on the phone. You said Sunday. I told you I have a class on Sunday 3-6pm. Can I have it Sunday morning. You said, I don't know. Then I asked if you have a service for priority. I had asked other places and they simply said YES/NO. You were clearly having a bad week and do not know how to handle your emotions. Actions have consequences and reducing your rating is a natural consequence. Should you decide to use words rather than kick people out or hang up on them, you can contact me and I may consider increasing the rating depending on your attitude. I suggest finding ways to improve service rather than being defensive to ALL bad reviews. I read through them. For example, I called a bike shop and they said: we will have it ready in 3 days. I said great but I finish work at 5pm on weekdays. Owner said he can stay later till 5:30 so I have time to pick it up. Voila. Problem solved. You refused to listen or offer a real conversation which are key in keeping a good business going. I was barely able to complete a sentence with you cutting in and giving one sentence answers. Anyways I'm not spending more time on this. I hope your stress slows down so you can relax a bit and give people the benefit of the doubt.
One of the worst services I've had, not exaggerating. Rude staff. You must practically beg these guys to give you a decent service. Being busy has nothing to do with being respectful, something these guys don’t know. My request was simple, a tune-up for a carbon bike I bought online, assembled and functional just wanted to make sure everything was in place before using it (didn’t want to void the warranty on the frame, my main concern). The price ended up being more than the normal tune-up, they ended up charging the complete “Build bike from Box – Shipped” concept since they mention it was going to be an extensive job. I ended up agreeing and moved on (I just needed a good job done), however coping with their, disorganization, bad attitude and even insults had me completely disgusted. They committed to a two-day job which ended up being 5. Even calling to check the status seemed like an impossible task, never getting any resolution nor an estimate on when for sure the bike will be ready (happy to wait really, just wanted to know by when you know?). When they finally gave me a confirmation for pickup (Friday 5:20 pm) I ran to the shop, called several times to let them know I was running 5 minutes behind with no luck. Got to the store just to be confronted with "Its not my problem", "You are a liar, you never called" and overall an aggressive attitude. Given my experience I wouldn’t recommend given: - The terrible customer service - Lack of clarity on what each service includes - Disorganization To anyone wanting to spend their money on service with them I would advise to, just don’t.
I have been going to Cycle solutions for 6 years. I live in Cabbagetown and always wanted to support local business. I have taken my bike there for yearly tuneup and repairs yet every single time, I go in there, it’s like I am a brand new customer, no recognition or familiarity even after they open your file. I have always found the staff condescending and you sadly get used to this type of treatment as a woman of color. However the reason for the 1 star is that on my last tune up, I mentioned all my concerns and none were addressed or fixed or discussed upon pick-up. The bike appeared to be worse after pick-up and I wasn’t sure if they did anything at all. My brakes were squeaking badly and I took it back a couple of weeks later. I was told I needed new brake pads and possible cables and given a sizeable quote. I realized that I just did not trust them due to their previous service. I knew I would not be going back but I have waited until my bike was fixed at a different bike shop to write this review. My brakes were cleaned and fixed for $30 and I was told by this other bike shop that they were fine, just needed cleaning and adjustments. My bike rides good as new again. There are so many good bike shops in Toronto that no one needs to patronize shops who are condescending or dishonest or treat customers like just a money source. If you are a woman or a person of color, find the shops where they respect you just like everyone else.
Was there this morning at 10:00 sharp just to ask if I needed an actual appointment to bring my bike in for a flat tire fix or if I could just drop it off anytime. There was a gate at the entrance which was open so I simply walked in to ask my very simple question. A very rude employee told me NOT to walk in and said first thing: “can’t you see the gate is closed?” I replied that the gate was actually open. He told me to get out! Needless to say, I will never return there. I was there two years ago for a full tune up which cost a fortune and I had promised myself to never return. Now I have two reasons to never return. It’s really too bad that this business is run so poorly as the location was perfect. +++++ First of all, don’t call me dude. Second, it was 10:00 sharp when I looked at my phone immediately as I got back outside. 3rd, I didn’t know this lady was a customer waiting, I thought she was an employee on break. 4th) the gate was open as there 12” space between both and no lock. ….. the point is: you still could have been polite about my “mistake”.
Truly exceptional customer service! On my home from work I got a flat, found this shop nearby, and - terribly worried I wouldn't get home in time to pick up my kids - rushed over in a frenzy. I was met by Scott, who offered a calm smile, recognized my need for haste, and was truly incredible! Somehow he managed to continue to help three other customers while also making sure I had everything I needed to get back on the road as quickly as possible - even coming to check in and trouble shoot as I couldn't get the bead on my old tires to catch on the rim. Totally above and beyond - especially given all the action in the shop. I'm not at all surprised this place is so popular. In a few minutes Scott managed to turn my unfortunate misadventure into a great experience that I shared with my kids as we talked about kindness on our ride home. My two big takeaways: remember to carry a flat tire repair kit (for when I'm not lucky enough to break down a block away from a great bike shop) AND go back to Cycle Solutions for all my bike stuff from now on!
I really like this place. Kale and his team have been really good to me, even when I was just coming in for some free advise or browsing. Having walked into so many bicycle shops downtown, Cycle Solutions is a refreshing, friendly and helpful minority. No air of superiority or pretentious, surly service. None of the intimidating cycling pro attitude, they were attentive and have a sense of humour. I have been going often as my LBS to get minor things and each time; very helpful. I started cycling last year and they're genuine in helping fulfill my needs, listen to what I want and try to find fixes (like a rack that ensures I don't kick my bag with my heels). When they don't have something on hand, they try and find a solution and suggest things. Pricing and costs are upfront, and what really earns them my 5-stars is they don't try to nickel and dime you and milk the customer for money (thanks for the tube Kale!). I recently bought a new bike from them and the set-up and service has been great.
Very good experience up until the parts I had ordered arrived. Once it came down to getting my bike worked on there were a few problems. I had the bike checked in with a repair appointment by a rep at the shop, the next day I called as I would have been picking it up, only to find it hadn't been looked at, so another appointment was made. After 2 more days, I called again to inquire about it, and they noticed that second appointment date was made in error and would have to checked in a third time, requiring more delay. I later found out that this shop has become understaffed, and overburdened by the demand that the neighbourhood puts on its remaining staff. I do believe this is a great shop, and perhaps this experience was simply an anomaly, but if you are considering bringing your bike here, prepare yourself for delays just in case. I will update this in the future as I interact with their store more often, as they are now my neighbourhood bike shop.
I've been a loyal customer of this bicycle repair shop for years, and I can confidently say that they are the best in the business. I've been to many bike shops around the city, but no one compares to the level of service, knowledge, and care that this shop provides. Despite the distance, I go out of my way to come here because of their attention to detail and dedication to their craft. They have a wealth of experience and knowledge, having been around for over 23 years (that's all you need to know). The team is dedicated to providing the highest quality service with honesty, transparency, and fair pricing. I appreciate their concern for my safety and am grateful for the time they take to inspect my entire bike, even if I've just come in with a flat. They truly saved my life on more than one occasion. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of bicycle repairs in Toronto. Thank you Scott and the team for your great service!
I came in to get my bike fixed and they told me it would be done the same day, so I called in and told them I would come pick it up the next day. When I got there they told me it was a bigger job and it would take 2-3 days and that they did not even start working on it. After explaining to them that was not the promise, he started nitpicking words like “maybe” and “possibly” and I told him there is a difference between a day and 3 days and he put his hand to his ear to gesture that I don’t listen. He also raised his voice which was not called for and eventually told me he did not want to work on my bike and gave it back to me. Worst customer service at a bike shop. Recommendation: when you are there be very clear as possible and make sure you have time to wait.
The person I was dealing with wasn’t really willing to explain their reasoning/discuss after there was an issue. He's probably nice to interact with if there are no hiccups. However, the shop made a mistake that rendered my bike not rideable on a fairly simple job. When I asked them to fix the issue (we can all make mistakes, and that's okay!), they acknowledged their mistake and they did fix it, but they charged extra for labour and rushed me out without explanation beyond something akin to "it takes time". I understand that their service person now has to work longer than expected, but if they are the one who messed up…why should I pay more? I can’t recommend them, given that you may get a larger bill than you expected, if and when they make a mistake.
Very disappointed and bad service. Made a tune up appointment, dropped my bike on a Tuesday, they did alert me that could take 1-2 days, as they have a backlog. On Thursday evening called to check. The guy on tge phone didn't want to check but "as a favor he did", said I was next in line. On Saturday I called again, they said the same... today Monday (almost a week after dropped off) they said that they were working on bikes from Friday/Saturday... so my was left behind and not even offered to quickly work on it, instead asked me to wait 1-2 more days. I just pick up and went to another shop. I know errors happen but apologies and service could be giving to make you feel better and valued, to make you think they care... I will never go there again.
Let me start by saying I'm a layman when it comes to biking. Wanted to get a new bike after not riding for 4 years and hit up Cycle solutions for the first time because it's local and a neighbourhood staple. Read some low star reviews here, and I'm now compelled to dispel any trepidation ... these guys are really good at what they do, and I had some of the best service I've ever had... anywhere. They fit me to a bike that matched my size, intended usage and price point - walking me through each option. Being overwhelmed with so many choices when buying a proper bike (as a layman), Cycle Solutions had me leaving feeling confident in my purchase and very, very happy with my new bike. They're the real deal and I cant recommend them enough. Thank you!
We have come here often, for years. They're always helpful, honest and realistic about what needs to be done. Even on a high-stress busy beautiful spring Sunday in mid-pandemic they were able to get me sorted no problem. Coincidentally, the only other customer in the store when I was there today (whom I don't know) said he was in the store yesterday at the same time as the person who has written the most recent negative reviews (whom I also don't know). So he saw what went on. I won't quote him, but let's just say he wouldn't agree that the problem was with the store and its staff as opposed to the customer. Thanks guys and thanks also for your support of the community, including Bike Sauce and the Friends For Life Bike Rally.
Feels cheated and ripped off, very rude staff. I had the entire bike built , It only had issues with the front brakes and the gear shift , I was initially quoted $70 to fix both the issues, the Sales rep suggested that I get a bike build because it would be an inclusive service, where they will check and fix everything - parts extra, I even have the txt from the mechanic who told me that labor is included in the bike build, on picking up the bike - they only fixed the bake pads and charged to $150. On talking to the store, Scott was very rude and the only response I get is - We are not the mechanic, we do not know what he did on the bike but per notes, he spent 2 hrs replacing brake pads.
Went in for a tire change on an electric bike. The worker wanted to change me $80 I think with him justifying the high price due to it being an electric bike. Was on my way out to another shop that was willing to do it for $40 when the owner (I guess) offered me a better deal. Kudos to the owner but worker quoting me that insane price soured my experience. Response to owner: The only real difference in changing a regular tire and an ebike tire is removing the power cord attached to the motor. It takes no longer than 10 to 20 seconds and other shops were willing to do it for $40. My review will be edited to reflect this poor excuse of a response. You now get one star.
I ran into challenges installing a rear bike rack and basket because I needed extra screws and nuts. You'd think the solution will be a quick stop at Cdn Tire or Home Hardware but it's exceedingly difficult to find the right size. Scott at Cycle Solutions is the MacGyver you want on your side next time you're frustrated. My tip is don't waste your time trying to find the right size screw. Instead of returning your Amazon purchase which will probably be thrown away, ask Scott for help. He'll make sure your gear is road safe. If he doesn't ask for a fee, please return the gesture and leave a positive review here, this neighborhood bike shop deserves a 5 star.
Been shopping around for a good helmet to go with my daughter's bike, we decided to check out Cycle Solutions. The first thing I have to say is Awesome customer service!!! This beautiful lady Mercedes was amazing, she was very kind and attentive. She was also Super friendly & interactive with my daughter. She was able to assist us in finding the perfect helmet that is safe and suitable for my daughter. We were very Happy and satisfied with purchase and l'm glad my daughter feels safe and enjoys her new helmet. Thank you Mercedes! We'll be back :) P.S. my daughter doesn’t want to take her helmet off….ever!! Lol haha Thanks again Cycle Solutions! :)
Friendly, but doesn't doesn't put the customer first. Took my bike in here about a year ago for a tire change and said it would be ready 2 days later. I never received a call and when I went to inquire about my bike they forgot all about it. 20 minutes later I had a new tire. Fine I guess. Earlier today I got another flat and was in the neighborhood so I tried to stop by with 15 minutes until they closed - I know it's last minute but they wouldn't take it since they were closing soon. Could have made a really happy customer for literally 5 minutes of work. Note to self: shop online, carry patch kits, avoid bike shops.
Was about to go to here to buy some bike accessories and get some tips for cycling around the city, as I am new to this. However, after reading the owner's replies to people's negative experience I am no longer going to this shop. How unprofessional it is to blame your customers for their negative experiences and straight up insult them? Do you not care about upholding a professional image for your business? I will not put myself through this type of customer service.. to the owners: please take a look at other local bike shops replies to customer's Google reviews: willing to help and look into how they could improve.
needed to get my 2 tires replaced with new ones, and also needed help installing them. got both of that done for $100, which seems reasonable (I'm not a huge biker, nor have I owned/gotten many fixed up before). I actually reached out on facebook messenger and they replied really fast and helped me out. when I got there, the staff was really friendly, and directed me on where to go and what I should get. the bike was fixed up in one day, and was super fast to pick up and pay. coming back for a tune-up later this month (which requires and appointment), and will definitely come back if I have any other bike issues :)
Look elsewhere! Unwelcoming unfriendly. Wanted to buy a bike and was made to feel that they didn't want me in the store or were not interested in my business. There was no line outside so not like it was super busy or anything. They turned me to the website which was not working but the person insisted there was nothing wrong with it without even checking. Now seeing all the reviews and how defensive they get as soon as a review does not please them it totally makes sense. They take all the positive reviews for granted and turn ballistic at the slightest critic. I would not recommend them.
Convenient customer service by shooting bullet back to customer right away today. Full text history attached here for helping your choice. I visited this place once more several years ago for having flat tire in front of this place. After fixing it, bike wheel touches my braking pad. And at that time, too, they blamed me back that my frame has problem. Yes mine has that problem but it was not touching my brake pad before they fix flat tire. I visited my original place, adjusted a little bit for 2 min and brake touching wheel problem was gone right away. So professional.
Very very unprofessional and misbehaviour person all the staff of this shop. One of the worse experience in my life with this bike shop,I went there for fixed my bike chain they told me that will take one and half an hour after 2 hours I went to shop than they told me it will take another two hours.how bad service they are doing and promise with customer . I will suggest to my friend friend not to go bike solution and will advise them to go to Uncle jackob at 355 sapdina avenue. They are very professional and very quick service.
I ordered and payed for some bike components online and opted for the in store pick up. This was a HUGE mistake. Even though I already payed for my things, they were still going to make me wait in the line outside which could have taken up to 2 hours. I understand in this time of COVID things are not as they usually are but things need to change with your business model. You should have two lines. One for orders that have already been payed for and one for the rest Will not be supporting this local bike store anymore.
I recently moved to Cabbage Town and I love this place. I have had two issues with my bike and both times they have been courteous, efficient and given me the heads up on anything else that was off about my bike. They do an excellent job from beginning to end. This shop knows bikes, all bikes. They are pro's. I appreciate how they have adapted to Covid-19 restrictions and make the online booking schedule for the work, payment and scheduling for the pick up hassle free. Thanks team for fixing my ride once again. :)
I really like this place, I Have 7 years old and I come here only, To fix my bike, they are honest and very hardworking, educated people I have known them for a long time I recommend. And if someone asks me if I know of someone who fixes a bicycle, I don’t think twice, I send it right there. They are honest professionals. They are very patient with the customers, but everything depends on each one of them trying to be polite in buying. Just I say God Blessing This Place . Cycle Solutions is number 1 *****
One of the best places downtown to get your bike fixed. The folks out there are one of the nicest people you'll ever find at a bike store. They go out of their way to understand your need and try their best to fix it. The bike mechanic (I think his name is Kale, not sure) has to be the finest mechanic I've ever come across. He just looks at your bike and knows the problem. The only drawback about the store is that it's kind of small, not very big and sometimes getting your bike back can take a while.
Terrible customer service, always read the reviews first before going to the store. I learned this the hard way and experienced terrible customer service. You can probably tell how they interact with other customers just by the way the owner replies to his negative reviews. I'd rather go to bike sauce just east of cycle solutions and receive thorough customer service from a non-profit where and they give you all the tools and teach you how to fix the bike yourself.
Class act! Went in to get my rear tire tube replaced. Was charged the exact quoted amount, which was a very reasonable price. I was told that it would take around 1.5 hours on a busy Saturday morning and it was done within 40 mins. During these covid times, they are taking great precautions to reduce risk for customers by wearing masks and gloves and limiting the store to 2 customers at a time. They also open the door while you enter/exit to minimize contact.
Moved to Cabbagetown/St. James Town a few months ago and was recommended this place. Needed a tube replaced in my back tire and they were able to do it pretty quickly!! The online appointment booking process is very straightforward and easy to understand. Just dropped off my bike at the expected time, and picked it up the day after. Price was what you'd expect for this service. Friendly staff on the phone, in person and would definitely recommend!!
Go elsewhere! I ordered a tune up from them and asked them to look into a couple of issues. After I got the bike back, a friend who bikes a lot pointed out an issue they missed, noticed they didn't even inflate the tires correctly and told me to never go back here again. He's recommended another place. Then another friend told me he'd had issues with them as well and recommended yet another place! Wish I'd known! It's spoiling my summer!
these folks are great and I love how they're managing pandemic service. I had a flat I didn't have the energy to fix, and made a same day appt for drop off, dropped off, and they took my bike in right away, then I received a text message notification the next day, with pre-payment link, letting me know it was ready, I paid and booked same day pickup appt, dropped in and picked up my fully functional bike! presto chango! perfect!
I've been a customer of this bike shop for almost 10 years and have received nothing but the absolute best service. I've purchased bikes here, had repairs, tune ups and adjustments and their work has always been excellent. None of the staff has ever assumed I don't know what I am talking about or treated me with anything but respect - unfortunately as a female rider, that is not always the case at bike shops. I highly recommend.
Impressed at how quickly they tended to my problem. It was not a complicated problem, granted, but I had planned to leave the bike there and wait half an hour, and within 5 minutes they were back with the bike fixed. I am a little hesitant to say the following for fear of attracting freeloaders: but, the store didn't even want to charge me for the service they provided. So a big thank you and I will be back if I need bike help!
Randomly found this shop early 2022 as my tire pressure was low. Not only did they have a proper pump but handled it for me...without a purchase. Returned this week for the same reason but also to get a set of brake pads. The price was much lower than I was accustom to so I bought a set for both wheels! What I especially appreciated was the vibe of the staff. Far too many bike shops have forgotten about good customer service.
The person who sitting on front desk. He don’t have manner. I came their with my electric bicycle with flat tyre. All they have to do repair the tyre. But they fix the tyre but damage my controller which cost me 168 dollar plus they put valve 27.5 but my cycle is 26 inch. But they fix the tyre my stand is touching with tyre then I went to uncle Jacob Spandina & Dundas. They are unprofessional, untrained. Don’t go their.
I find owner and staff friendly and professional every time I visited and request bike service and repairs. They know I am Deaf and very accommodate with my needs and deeply impressed with their attitude. I am also really impressed with the owner being honest with me, telling me what I need to take a good care of my bike in long term, and he continues to do that a few times. Excellent service!! Highly recommended!
Well equipped, clean store with everything you'll need for your bike and then some. Wanted a good quality air pump for my tires. Got fed up with the 12 dollar cheapies that break so often. I was given three choices. The differences were not only explained but time was taken to come out of the store and ensure the one I chose fit properly for my specific need. That's service. And I was done in under 10 minutes.
Update: Kale is a good dude. A super technician, he also brings charm and humour to his craft. Better than spinach + broccoli, to be sure! (Beets, maybe not.) What a great neighbourhood shop. Scott was great! Answered all of my questions patiently, knowledgeably. In fact, put my bike up and did his doctor's exam - without any upsell. Love having these soulful small businesses in our local communities.
This was my first time buying a proper road bike. I did a bit of research, but I didn't really know what I was looking for at first. Kale at Cycle Solutions took the time to show me the models I was considering, arranged a test ride, and got me set up with the necessary cycling gear. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I know I can rely on Cycle Solutions to help with any maintenance I might need.
Wonderful place. Friendly, accommodating, and the technicians have talent. I have a Trek Madone. My bottom bracket exploded. I impressed the urgency of the repair. They located a part from another bike shop (their usual supplier was out) and had the bike fixed quickly. I was amazed at how much effort they displayed. Ultimately they are a great old school neighborhood bike shop. I highly recommend!
I just took my bike to replace my broken pedals with the new ones that I bought before from a different store. They not only replaced the pedals for free without charging for the service they also pumped my bike for me. They really made my day! The whole experience was just super fast and safe considering the social distancing situation. I Couldn’t be happier with their service.
Kind, friendly , knowledgable, honest folks that treat me like a human. I think they understand the value of their time but they’re also happy to go above and beyond. They usually help out with quick repairs but They also offer affordable, comprehensive bike fit which has possibly changed my life! If you’re feeling sore on your bike all the time, get fit by Ian or Scott !
I have been taking my bike to Cycle Solutions for years and they never disappoint! They truly are the best in the business! I even bought a bike from them a few years ago and each time I bring it in for service, I get it back in perfect shape for the road. It makes me feel safer on the road knowing that everything is working and in top shape. Thank you guys so much! James
Highly recommended! Got my bike tuned up here a while back +some flat tire changes and got everything fixed up just right. They even ordered a brake adapter I couldn’t find for the life of me. Staff were nice and approachable. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, this place is great aside from the weird location (parking is also quite limited)
I was really happy with the service I got here! My issue was fixed, the turnaround was fast and there weren’t any surprises. I have paid nearly triple what I paid here at another shop in Kensington and the issue was not addressed. Very happy! Thank you, Calvin and team for hooking me up. I won’t be going anywhere else.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. When I was a new cyclist in the city, I was a bit intimidated by Toronto “bike culture” - there is no pretension here. They have done a couple repairs for me and I pop in every so often to get my tires filled - it’s always a good experience - support this shop for sure!
Terrible terrible bike shop .. imagine getting told it’ll cost you $16 to put your derailed chain back on while cycling downtown .. something that takes less than 3 minutes to do . And suggesting it’ll take a day to get it fixed I took my back home and fixed it with my tools . Never coming back here .
They were great, the component upgrades on my bike were very well installed. There was a discrepancy on the final bill from my quote, but the manager was very kind and understanding and reasonably fixed it all up. Awesome folks, I would totally come back, definitely recommend this place.
Neighbourhood fixture with solid service. I have purchased a couple of bikes here--fair pricing and space to try it out inside. There's a decent selection of accessories. It's chill -- no fuss no muss for service/maintenance issues. If I'm asked for a bike store referral -- this is it.
Awesome customer service! I had to cancel my bike order because covid really delayed the production, and the summer is gonna end soon. I waited for 2 months, and the bike is still not in Canada. Called them to cancel, there was no hassle. Will definitely purchase a bike here next year.
This has been my go to bike place for over 10 years...I trust them fully! Big shout out to Kale/ Scott who always takes care of me and I really appreciate that. :) your customer service is outstanding always a smile a hello and always help with anything bike related thank you so much!
Stopped by to get a new wheel lug nut as somebody tried to steal my bike. Cycle Solutions was quick, professional and they didn’t charge anything! He told me they had tonnes of them and it was on them. Highly recommend rare these days to get such awesome customer service! Thanks
I came in for a break adjustment and they didn’t end up charging me and they said there wasn’t an issue and they helped me inflate the tires and even lubricated the chain for me. Much appreciated!!!! Nice people nice service. Will come back for regular maintenance for sure.
Friendly staff, well organized store, lots of bike parts and accessories available, new bikes for sale. It seems the time for getting your bike fixed/tuned up isn't long. Prices are okay but not the cheaper bike store in town. Overall, you will get a good service here.
Good guys, always are prompt with bike service and have good knowledge of bikes and parts. They aren't condescending when you're a newbie, either! Very transparent about pricing as well which I like. Unless I move out of downtown they'll have a customer for life!
Had my rear tire & tube replaced for my little folding bike. They were up front about the cost, and service was reasonably timely. The staff I interacted with were friendly & communicative. That's basically what I want in a bike shop -- simple solid service.
Scott was an absolute dream to work with! We recently purchased 2 bikes at Cycle Solutions and everyone was knowledgeable and really helpful. Scott helped us out with all the accessories we needed and made sure we had everything we needed. Support local!
Had a wonderful positive experience here with Scott. They had products in stock that I couldn't find anywhere else, at a great price, and we had a nice chat. 100% would go again and recommend to anyone looking for a place for bike parts, tune ups, etc.
First time in the store looking to get cork handlebar tape. Store is a good size and seems to offer adequate selection and supply. Staff is approachable and helpful. I didn't end up buying there since the cork tape in stock was $$$ above MEC's.
At my firs visit I needed to get a spoke. I gave the old spoke to the cashier and she brought me a new one, told me that I need to cut it and something else( it took her around three words). When I tried to replace it, I realized that there
Seriously one of the best bike shops in the city. Despite the lack of inventory industry-wide, the folks at Cycle Solutions Parliament always find a way to help you out without breaking the bank. Do yourself a favour and support this shop!
I brought an old cheap bike for small repair before giving it away, BIG surprise when the technician very conveniently didn't read my instructions NOT to install super expensive shimano gears on it, breaks still squealing. - had to pay it
Hmm.. what can I say... the place is pricey compared to other places... when I commented on the price, I was called a pain in the butt! They took my bike in to change the tire and the tube, when i went to pick it up, the tire was shaking
other Bike stores give us the quote soon as we drop off the bike. They send me an email after complete the service. It’s a money grab. Other places are cheaper with better service. They may only serving for the richest in the community.
Good guys who know bikes and like to share the joy of riding. Been a service customer for years and yesterday dropped in because of a couple of winter cycling challenges. They helped me troubleshoot for free. I always feel welcomed here.
I visited after a tumble and the manager there fixed my bike for free (quick handlebar fix and gear fix). That's always special. He even validated my frustrations saying "you gotta watch out for those pedestrians, they suck sometimes."
Excellent experience! Brought both my bike and my partner’s here for minor repairs and their communication, transparency and service were excellent! Every employee I spoke to were all friendly and professional. Definitely going back!
Went in for replacement breakpads and re-wrap handle bars. They didn't have Bar Phat in stock, so they offered to salvage what they could. 24h turn around - they moved the gel around, put on new wrap and it feels great. Much thanks.
Came in today because I needed my seat replaced with one a friend gave me. Devin & Scott quickly helped me and provided me with great tips and conversation. The vibe in this place is terrific and they truly care here. Thanks guys!
Although I waited a month for a repair + a tune up (understandable) They apologized for missing my note of repairing my issue and accommodated me within 2 days. Now it is fixed and riding amazing! They all rock! 10/10 recommend.
If you're looking for a bicycle, this is the place to buy it from! The people here are knowledgeable and amazing! They are very helpful and also offer fantastic service after your purchase. I can't recommend this store enough.
awesome staff! Great selection! Bought my first mountain bike here and have it serviced here only. Matt and his team are great in and out of the shop. Always a pleasure coming here! These guys have the best bikes in Toronto!
Had an amazing experience today getting my bike taken care of! Had a small issue with a rusty petal breaking off an older bike, owner Scott took care of the issue in a quick professional way. Will def be coming back here!!
Amazingly fast, kind and well priced. I brought my bike in because of a nail in my tire and he saw a few other problems with the way I had put my bike together and fixed them too. Could not recommend this store enough!!!!
My wife got a flat tire and thought she damaged the tire! The technician changed the tube and assessed the tire which checked out good! From walking into the shop to picking up the bike it was all excellent! Great team !
Two visits to repair the same tire and still not right. I believe they should've picked up fault in tire 1st time i went. Begged for a repair credit against buying new tire and the fight was too hard. I won't go back
I needed a helmet and locks for my Devinci bike. They only allow 2 persons at a time in the store due to Covid 19. The wait outside was very short. Stephane was very helpful and I got my locks and helmet in no time.
Brought in my 20ish year old Gary Fisher mountain bike for complete refresh. Cycle Solutions did an amazing job at a very reasonable price. Rides like a new bike. Great place and honest pricing. Highly recommend.
Excellent service. Reasonable pricing. Great customer service. My first time using their services; had a flat tire on my e-bike repaired in an afternoon. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend.
Bought my bike here over a year ago and I've stayed loyal since! Kale is phenomenal! The other mechanics are super welcoming and very knowledgeable too! Doesn't feel like other "pretentious" Toronto bike shops.
Had a very solid servicing experience with them. Good initiative, properly communicated time expectations and follow through. I spend almost $450 in repairs to a fine bike, and I am happy with the results.
I had a flat when I got my bike out for the season (a little before all this COVID stuff). The staff was friendly, courteous, and had my flat fixed In 30 minutes while I took a walk in the neighborhood.
This place is awesome and much needed in the community. It is the first place to go if your looking for anything bike related! Thanks Scott for all the great advice!
Love Cale and the boys. Won’t sell you what you don’t need. Very knowledgeable and quick return times. highly recommend. …
Excellent service! I had a great experience here. They took my bike sometime around noon and was ready for pick up next morning.
These guys are great! Friendly service and fast turnaround. They text you when the bike is ready. My go to bike repair shop!
Very bad interaction with an arrogant person. The worst customer service I’ve seen in Toronto.
Only shop that could sell me a unicycle. Service was fast too
