We have a Specialized Ariel that is 10 years old. I inherited the bike for my daily commute during the winter and spring months. It took a beating from all of the salt, and finally one day, the ball bearings from the bottom bracket cracked. I could hear the ball bears hit the ground, and see that my pedals were lopsided. I brought it to Cycles Zombie for repairs, where the owner, Polly, inspected the bike and gave me his best and worst case scenarios. Fortunately, replacing the bottom bracket was not as bad as it looked, the job was done in two days. Additionally, the owner did some minor tune-ups to the bike at no extra cost, and I was back on the road cycling. There was a noticeable improvement with the bike, it rode more smoothly than before, which made my commute enjoyable! Yes, I would go back to Cycles Zombie again for my bike repairs.

I called in this afternoon thinking it might be a good time to get my inner tube valve fixed. Although my call couldn't be received right away I got a text back and was able to get a quote for the fix, information about payment methods accepted and an estimate for how long the fix should take. The service I received was great, and I learned a bit about what happened with my bike and how to take better care of it. While I spoke with him, Polly lamented that his small business may not last long in competition with the bigger shops opening up. I sincerely hope this place can stick around because I would much rather take my bike to someone friendly to talk to in my neighborhood who gives a damn rather than some big shop with people who just want you in and out asap. Brought bike over without an appointment on Saturday, but Polly was able to accommodate. Identified the problem and gave a reasonable and accurate quote. While repairing bike, he identified additional concerns and asked if I wanted to include. I agreed and appreciated the transparency and real time updates. Had my bike fixed by the next day and included minor tune up and cleaning as well. Polly was flexible with pick up time and provided tips on bike maintenance and overall assessment of my bike, which I bought used earlier this year. Haven't been able to ride yet, due to the weather, but I feel confident in the work done, and value the transparency, explanations, and cost. Highly recommend!

A wonderful experience with a wonderful person! First of all, I think it’s most important to note that Polly is a great person. He was very knowledgeable, a pleasure to deal with, and a decent human being. I called on a Saturday looking to get our bike tires pumped up, and found this shop. The owner was very nice to deal with, and helped us to pump up our tires in a quick and efficient manner. A no non-sense approach, and he went above and beyond to check the state of our bikes and make sure they were in good shape. One of the bikes hasn’t been ridden in a couple years, and we’ll definitely be back for a tune-up! I would very strongly recommend Polly!

Polly responded by text immediately at 7:15PM when my girlfriend had her 2nd flat tire of the summer. He promptly fixed the flat and when asked he recommended another tire option and tire liner for better puncture resistance. I asked him if the bike required a new chain as the shifting wasn't smooth. Polly measured the chain and indeed it did. He installed the chain while walking me through the steps to do it myself. Shifting is much smoother now and the bike is quieter! He also showed me how to improve the brake responsiveness by twisting the barrel adjuster and inflated both tires. Thanks Polly for getting us back home!

I got my cycle fixed today and I was so happy because I kept my cycle from repairing because of the high prices that was quoted from most of the other places. Polly is really helpful and very open about the cost and pricing. Mine was a bit tricky, as it is an electric bike. But Polly took the challenge. First he explained me of the complications and costs that might incur. I only had to leave the bike in his store for just two days. I stopped by to get my flat tire repaired earlier today and from the beginning I knew this would be a great experience. Polly, owner and mechanic, kindly fixed my flat for me at an extremely reasonable price. In addition, he fixed my: brake alignment, handle bar alignment, and hub, at no cost! He is also was kind enough to let me ride his prototype bike while he was working on my bike. Polly is a gem and I would recommend friends and family to check out his shop. I wish I had found Cycles Zombie and Polly a long time ago. Walked in Monday evening to check if I could get my rear flat tire fixed and Polly got on the job right away, not only did he fixed it in no time but he also worked on enhancing my front tire. He also spent alot of time explaining and sharing some valuable tips. I really appreciate the free diagnosis and extra bits of TLC he showed my bike. The service was great for a really good price; Polly was very helpful and quick getting my tire replaced and the cables for the derailleur. He consulted me about the tire and colour of the cables before installing them; this is a something small but I appreciated it as at other places I have not been consulted before they make the changes. Also, he made sure I took my bike for a test ride, oiled the chain, and checked my seat. Make sure you text to request an appointment.

Polly turned a negative into a positive. The fantastic bike I received as a gift from Polly's shop a couple of months ago was recently stolen. Polly took the theft as personally as I did and provided advice and offered assistance in how I might go about trying to recover the bike. His concern and offers of assistance were welcome and very appreciated. In addition, he outfitted me with a new bike at a very reasonable price. All in all, full and excellent service.

Great service! Polly was kind enough to take a look at my bike after hours after I had called him. A few weeks later he checked up on how my bike was and the brakes weren't quite right, so he fixed it up right away with no charge. I had a great experience with Polly. I was tired of buying used bikes. I got a new Minelli Silhouette hybrid for a great price. Polly also provided free labour by installing the accessories like fenders, bell, hose-clamp and a stand. He is a great guy, very friendly and amazing service. Gave some great safety tips and other bike maintenance tips.I am very happy with customer service and with my new bike.

Polly was incredibly accommodating with my schedule, as I was only able to swing by at the end of his shop hours. He reset my jammed bike chain, and gave me some great advice on repairs so as to avoid my problem in the future. Not only did he take time out of his own personal schedule, but he gave my bike a quick fix free of charge. I will most certainly be back, and recommend the shop to anyone I know.
