I recently called Cypress Hills Cemetery to locate my loved one. The person that answered was absolutely awesome. She was very patient, understanding and caring. She gave me the information and said when I did come to visit they would give me a map and show me how to get there. I asked if I could ask for her when I do go, she said yes and that her name is Olga. A couple of weeks later I did visit the cemetery and found Olga working in the office. She remembered our conversation and gave me a map with the directions, she was very kind and offered her condolences for my loss. I was actually thinking I would be given the information and be on my own. However it was totally opposite, she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and her voice and tone was that of an Angel. She made what was for me a very difficult situation totally manageable. Thank you Olga for all your help, you're a very special person.

At the beginning, everyone is nice and professional. But once you have a complaint, their kindness and professionalism goes out the window. You are not informed that certain area gets over flooded when it rains or your loved ones gravesites were damaged. You ask to speak to someone in charged and get the run around, either on the phone or in person. The office managers need to be trained in how to deal with people emotions, especially at this time of vulnerability and sadness. Instead they brush you off and are told there's nothing they could do. If a person chooses this type of work, they need to have & show some kind of sentimental feelings. Very upset with the outcome of my situation.

wish i could give 0 stars, these scumbags do nothing to mitigate their watershed and consistently flood yards with grave dirt along 68th->71st in Glendale - they don't answer their emails and soon they'll be reviewed by the Albany division of cemeteries, the DEP, the DOB and a few other city agencies - do not let your loved ones rest here, they literally are allowing their GRAVES TO ERODE INTO THE STREETS AND PROPERTIES ALONG ITS NORTHERN BORDER IN GLENDALE BY THE LOCUST GROVE

This cemetery has cemented 5 cats into a tomb. Disregarding their health & the concern of people who are willing to help those cats. They haven’t eaten, drank water, or seen the sun for two days. There are people who go there to tend to those cats. They did no sweep of just making sure those babies were out before they decided to fill this hole. Do the right thing & get those babies out!!!

Frustrating, to the point of anguish upon me. I can't find This section persisted in my photos with the map. This area of Cypress Hills Cemetery is called Dolora Rosa Way , section 3, grave 36.. HELP. S.O.S This Grave is my child's my son's ETERNAL RESTING I CAN'T WORD MY FEELINGS ANYMORE!! I've added another photo of the grave site . I still can't find km it on the map.

My mother in law is buried there on the cooper avenue side and have to say my wife goes out flower vase and many stuff and I feel it’s only hers that get taken out someone is taking it and it’s crazy is everybody else stuff doesn’t get touched ok so what should I do get even and take everyone else stuff to see how it feels done to them

After spending$571.00,to have stone encrypted, they took 9 months to do the job.then one have to find out the work was done by a friend who visit the grave site.they did not call me nor send letter to tell me of job completion.so one can have the family together to see the encrypted words,of my daughter.

Free the cats!!! you cemented their home shut, and refuse to take accountability and actions towards releasing them. How dare you end the life of a harmless animal that can’t defend themselves. You could’ve easily called a shelter or SOMETHING to pick them up. Disgusting

There's a large community of Chinese families buried here. We come here every year to pay our respects and burn dead paper money and place offerings and flowers on the tomb. For immigrants, it is a very welcoming place to let families practice in peace.

This is my daughters resting place, right on the beautiful old hill named “St. Phillips Gardens”. It is a very peaceful and serene place. Wish you were still here with me...I will forever miss you, Larissa. Until we meet again. I love you forever <3

Cypress Hills Cemetery made a traumatic experience in the lives of our family seamless. The person who informed me of what was needed to lay my granddaughter in the ground was extremely kind and caring. Thank you for your service

I called for the location on behalf my uncle who is buried there. He was in the USA Navy and died after WWII in 1946. The Lady was so kind to give me the information. Her name is Olga. Excellent customer service.

As far as cemeteries go this one is huge and well maintained. I contacted the office regarding a particular gravesite and was answered in a timely manner. Famous baseball player Jackie Robinson is buried here.

They have famous people and a lot of history in this cemetery. I've seen people having a BBQ on their family members grave site. They also have a yearly run through the cemetery along with various parties

Almost all my Family is resting here...Very Clean kept by the facility...However visitors tend to take things from graves or let their children brake things from other people's grave...

It wasn't so bad this time but usually my grandmas grave site isn't so clean, we always have to clean and sometimes things placed there are stolen or removed, otherwise its ok!

I just called them and the recording states the office is only open till 1pm on Saturday. Goggle states it is open till 4:30, goggle needs to get their times correct.

I do not recommend this cemetery to nobody.They are very rude with customers.They have to be more polite and have manners.The Customer is always the first priority.

THESE PEOPLE HAVE SEALED 5 LIVING CATS IN A TOMB AND WILL NOT RELEASE THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE STARVING TO DEATH. THEY HAVE BEEN IN THERE FOR DAYS PLEASE FREE THEM

Very difficult to find staff on Sundays. Good luck if you want into a locked abby. The office is closed and phones don't forward to a staff person on the grounds.

Horrible people trapped 5 cats by cementing them and don’t want to help. Horrible cruel owners have no heart. May God take the blessings away from your business.
