September 9, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ recently visited D'Ornellas Bike Shop in search of my new bicycle. The staff at the shop was welcoming and offered their assistance right away. The employee took the time to carefully listen to the two bikes I showed interest in. One bike was the Specialized Roll, but unfortunately, it wasn't available in my size. They kindly informed me that they could order it for me, but I was also interested in price matching. I was particularly impressed by their commitment to customer satisfaction – the manager would have gladly price matched but only after realized they couldn't because they didn't have my size in store. This demonstrated their dedication to retaining customers and prioritizing service over profit, which I found highly commendable. However, I have learned that when a bike needs to be ordered, there are additional costs incurred by the shop. Given this, it wasn't feasible for the business to do that or for me to make the purchase. Nonetheless, they provided me with valuable insights and tips on what to consider when searching for the right bike, which I truly appreciated. I look forward to returning to D'Ornellas Bike Shop in the future for my other bicycle-related needs, as their excellent service and knowledgeable staff have left a positive impression on me.

I really enjoyed most of my bike buying experience there. They had spent time with me and gave me a wide amount of options customized to my use and budget - mid range tri bike. The bike fit process was not what I hoped for, and I ended up spending money I wished I hadn't. The fit itself was good - conservative positioning, which they offered to refine down the road, and comfortable for my 70.3 distance. I ended up buying insoles for shoes which I didn't end up needing. I was told that foot pain and knee position would be improved, but in the end I didn't have complaints with either. In the end, the buying experience was excellent and fit process was very good. I would definitely recommend buying a bike form this shop, and taking them up on the free bike fit. Next time i'd not spend any money on fixes to problems until you have broken in the bike (and yourself) and are clear what the priorities are. Then go back to this shop and they will set you up; new shoes, helmet, insoles, saddles and all the extras needed (wanted?) will be obvious after a few hundred k's. UPDATE After my initial post on the insoles issue, the team offered to refund the insoles. I am looking forward to buying my n+1 here.

I have an older Cervelo road bike with the original di2 components from Shimano. One day the front derailleur stopped shifting and of course, on top of countless hours on YouTube, I bring it to my local bike shop where they pretty much kept it for days and couldn't figure out the issue. I was counting my losses here until my friend recommended me to see Neil, one of the mechanics at D'Ornellas. Called him up and Neil was like "there's hope, bring it in, I have a ton of experience with Cervelo bikes and I think I know what the issue is.". Long story short, Neil is a saint. Mechanics in the city won't match the skill level and experience here. I didn't catch the guys name in the front that helped me from a customer experience point of view, but he was also super helpful and has an insane memory: remembered our conversation, recognized my voice when I came in, and knew exactly what I needed just moments of me stepping into the store. It was too perfect of an experience for me, lol. But I'll def be back for all of your other services, I'm converted! Thanks D'Ornellas team.

I felt like I was a bit rushed while purchasing a new bike from here. While making some choices I was made to feel as if I was wasting the attendant's time. I also felt a little uncomfortable from some strange looks I was receiving from another female attendant off in the distance. I looked up and made eye contact with her from afar at least twice and wondered why I was being focused on so keenly. The transaction at the register was a bit more pleasant and the attendant I spoke with seemed knowledgeable towards any questions I had. Once the bike was 'prepped' I did notice a few oil smudges in a few places from greasy hands that I felt could have been cleaned before it was handed to me, but the transaction at the register was a bit more pleasant. The store has a really good selection and I'm happy with what I got as I've had the bike for about a week. I was thanked for my business on the way out by who seemed like a manager or the like. You'll get a quality bike from here but I just feel like the attendants could have been a bit more friendly and patient.

Was told over the phone that a 10 speed tiagra casette was in stock. When I arrived, was then told they don't have it in stock. No apologies from the staff for their error. They clearly need better training when checking stock and customer service when things go wrong. ------ Reply to owner: Thank you for taking the time to reply. I agree, mistakes happen. Dealing with the public isn't easy - we have high expectations. I would like to say I have had positive experiences with your bike shop such as when I bought shoes and pedals. However, I've also had negative ones. To say I "stormed out of the store" would imply I made a scene. I would disagree. As a result, your offer to "find a resolution if given the chance" seems disingenuous at best. You may disagree with my characterization of the event but I hope you would agree with the following: This is a perfect example of how *not* to handle a negative Google review. Instead, acknowledge a mistake was made, offer a solution, but don't put the blame back on the customer. That's why this review will stay 2*.

This bike shop is my new go-to bike shop. Their product prices are reasonable and their repair and service staff have been very friendly, knowledgeable, and have provided me great customer service every time I’ve been there. You can tell the people who work here are passionate about bikes! I’ve serviced two bikes here already with various changes, repairs, and upgrades. Each time the service was done in a prompt manner with prices are reasonable. I never felt taken advantage of or that my questions or concerns were beneath the people who work here. They’ve also given me excellent advice on what components work best in various combinations. I will keep recommending them to family and friends nearby and I can’t wait to have them build a custom bike for me when I finally gather all my custom bike frames and components. Thank YOU D’Ornellas!!!

Really nothing to complain about with this bike shop. I purchased my bike from D’Ornellas via the Toronto Spring Bike Show. What impressed me was the time taken to fit me on to my new bike. Neil spent almost 3 hours making sure that I was getting the most out of my bike and to avoid injuries due to improper fit. What I liked the most was that he wasn’t just going through the motions but that he genuinely enjoyed fitting me which makes you even more excited about the new bike you’re about to leave with. There were also other staff that were very helpful as well. I’ve been cycling for 30 years and have been in and out of bike shops, they tend to be, for some reason, not the friendliest but I didn’t feel that way here. Thanks for a nice experience.

After shopping around for about a year at various bike shops in the GTA I finally made a decision and I bought a new bike (2021 Felt AR Advanved UDi2) from D'Ornellas Bike Shop. I am fairly new to cycling sport so naturally had lots of questions. The purchase experience, customer service and the knowledge of the staff working at the shop is second to none. I also joined D'Ornellas Cycling Club and loving every KM riding with this club, and learning from folks with tone of cycling experience. I wanted to give a special shout out to Lori-ann and Neil at the shop and Eon (THE BOSS) and everyone at the cycling club for making this a very special and exciting experience for me.

Small shop, expanded to the space next door, been there a long time, family owned and operated. They cater to road, mountain and in between. Provide sales, service, spinning classes, ride groups, clothing and accessories etc. This is a proper bike shop, not a Walmart so set your expectations accordingly... They have all sorts of riding apparel as well. Good for a visit. The stock levels are definitely getting better and easier to order with much shorter wait times. Still a good place for MTB, road, fat, E & gravel bikes. Summer stock in full swing now, July 2023. Nov 2023, good black Friday sales.

I bought my bike from D'Ornella's last year and absolutely loved it!! They installed my bottle holder and bike stand, and gave me recommendations on how to take care of my bike. This year, I dropped it off for a tune up at D'Ornellas and I can't be happier. The bike is all tuned up, cleaned, and ready for the season. It was done really quickly and everyone at D'Ornella's was extremely friendly! From the people welcoming me as I waited for my bike to those who helped me figure out what my bike needed. Highly recommend!! Thank you for a great start to the season and a really fun shop visit.

Worst bike shop ever. I had gone there to repair my bike, they told me that's not repairable and insisted me to buy their bike. Man, I came there to repair instead of checking and repairing you want me to buy your bike. I came to home and let my brother checked he repaired bike under one minute and everything was fine. No needed to change any thing. I don't know what they would sell but they don't have any manners or any politeness. I wouldn't suggest anyone to go there. I wonder the good reviews might be their own reviews just to get their ad on Google maps.

I can always count on this well established bike shop for great service. Had to get a new chain installed and shifter adjustment so that I could go on a scheduled indoor ride later that same day. I knew I was hoping for a miracle now that bike season is around the corner and shop's busy schedule, but D'Ornellas came through with flying colours and I was able to do my ride. Thank you so much!!! I will only keep promoting your business to everyone cyclist I come in contact with as it's the least I can do. All the best for a successful 2023 season!!!

I got frustrated with the search for a used bike, so went in to D'Ornellas to look at what they had new and in stock. The staff was patient and fantastic, and showed me several options and was very knowledgeable about the benefits of each bike and which one was the best fit for me personally. After purchase I returned for a bike fit which was fantastic as well. Every staff member I spoke to was friendly but so knowledgeable without being at all pushy. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for cycling or triathlon gear and advice.

  • James Sahlani

These guys know bikes and took care of me from start to finish. Came in looking for a road bike that was a 61inch. They had one in-stock ready to go and I was on the trails the same evening. Ive been bringing my bikes to get serviced here for years and they always get what I want done on time. They even let me know when its not really worth spending money on replacing certain parts that I thought needed replacing. That level of honesty speaks for itself. Thank you guys!

  • Sarah Elliott

As a regular customer I wasn’t surprised when my recent bike fit with Neil, switching from road to aero bars, was a wonderful experience. I was able to do my training immediately after with no issues and improved comfort running off the bike. Lori-ann provided some great advice and product recommendations to improving my nutrition for long rides/runs, again with immediate effect! D’Ornellas is second to none!

  • Justin Wiens

This is a great place to bring your bike for a tune up or repair. I brought my bike here a few months ago for a tune up and to get clip in pedals installed on my bike. The service was done quickly (within a week) and my bike worked great after the repairs and modifications they did. Also, the staff were very helpful in helping me buy accessories and clothing for my bike.

Bought a bike from D'Ornellas in May. Been enjoying it all summer long. Recently, in the dark, rode over a pothole. Later noticed my back tire was wobbly and rubbing against the brake. Took it into D'Ornellas, a nice guy took it into the back......10 mins later it was fixed and ready to go. He also gave me some tips on tire pressure. Thank you for the top notch service

  • Saqlain Ahmed

Got a Flat tire so I dropped by D’Ornellas. They were very nice and suggested that I get new tires and new tubes since mine were worn out and it’s possible that it could happen again. Paid $201 after tax for 2 tires ($130+tax), 2 tubes ($8.50+Tax) and labour ($15 each wheel). They were very quick and friendly.

I was elated when I arrived greeting I got from the receptionist very professional very knowledgeable. friendly everyone was very helpful I would highly recommend and for all the do it yourself people, YouTubers when you want to get it correct don't forget nothing like the professionals

Came to get get my bottom bracket fixed, tune up, and fix my rear brake. This shop quoted me $300 for new bottom bracket, new brakes, and $100 tuneup. Went to some guy who worked in his shed fixed it for $100 and didn’t need to replace anything but the rear brake pad… ‍♂️ …

  • Sean Tan

Wonderful people and wonderful service. Thought my rear derailleur was broken and was planning on getting it replaced but upon inspection they said that they could save it. The fact that they found a fix as opposed to selling a new part makes them a trustworthy shop to go to.

  • Joe

Solid customer service and knowledge from the staff here. I was on the hunt for a saddle that was sold out everywhere but D’Ornella’s had it. I called them to hold the item for me and I picked it up the same day. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again for new gear or service!

  • Morris Horan

They will sell you something that doesn't fix the problem. Money grab! Did your computer crash? I have multiple emails plus paper receipts. I'll look for bike groups that allow reviews with proof and simply copy and paste. You nicely called me a lair. Can't have that.

  • Amber Muraki

Best bike repair experience ever! I needed to get my rear breaks replaced (with parts I brought from the manufacturer) as well as the break cable. They said it would take about a week, which I thought was a good time. Later in the day I got

Fantastic bike shop. Super friendly, knowledgable and approachable staff. Good selection of gear despite current shortages. I got a bike fit with with Neil after a recommendation from a friend, and I'm glad I did. I felt totally confident

  • Matheus Teixeira

The old guy that received me was unnecessarily rude. They asked me 1 week just to change a tube. This service takes like 20 minutes. They are also very expensive. I asked for a repair and they tried to sell me stuff. They even didn't have

I had never heard of this shop and felt apprehensive, but supply is hard to come by this year and they had the bike I wanted, so I bought it blindly online. SO glad I did! Everyone at the shop was so friendly and helpful! My fitting was

I went by there two days ago because my tires were flat. They change the tubes on both tires and found what had pricked the front tire. However the guy that help me did not completely remove the pointy wire and left some of it stuck in

I love their service and am very happy. However, it'll make me happier if they consider their service charge by reducing it a little.
