Visited yesterday and arranged to meet daughter who had appointment. On arrival the waiting area was empty apart from about three women at the desk. I sat down and began to read a newspaper, whilst I waited and became aware of a conversation behind the desk between one of the women (Asian) and another two women, all of which were looking in my direction. The Asian woman then called across to me asking if she could help me to which I replied that I was awaiting a patient. This seemed not to be good enough for her and she started to ask further questions which due to the distance from the desk to where I was sat I could not hear and got up walked to the desk and informing them that I was only waiting for someone and was not there to rob or attack them. The Asian woman then proceeded to quiz me as to the patients surname and on finding this on her system wanted to know her First name and then her date of birth and then the reason she was attending the surgery today! At this point I had now felt I was being accused of something un beknown to myself and informed her as she was my daughter and I believe she was there for 'Female' issues I was not able to give her that information. I by this time felt very vulnerable by her attitude as I'm sure there would be a panic button and I was more than likely to be taken away and locked up for nothing more than sitting down awaiting a patient. Looking at this web site it looks like this abrasive aggressive line of reception is the sanctioned and Endorsed by this practice. Disgusting. No Excuse.

The worst ever Practice Center please do not go there as you will be sorry after you can't get nothing for there if u need anything more specific you wont get it lot of neglects no care, The manager is a old woman who seems to do nothing but hide I guess is her daughter or a young girls on the reception seems to be there and be lazy to do her job they have no clue of medicine, a simple person will know more they than they do. They mistake my name from the day one I requested a letter which I pay £30 and I never get this letter for 3 month i keep been going there all the time I even send e letter to the Dalston Practice to request but nothing happen they keep saying it that they never receive it and i send it 4 time and i bring it personally as well. They are not professional and they bridge the law not by one act by manny and they have to face a legal action , until WE the patients ignore the neglects we will have this kind of service!!!!

Worst administrative staff ever. When I registered in early 2018, they put in the wrong postcode for my address (I wrote the correct one!). My address is on Kingsland High Street (an E8 postcode) - and they wrote an E1 (Whitechapel/Aldgate!) postcode, which anyone who lives in London would see is nuts. They wouldn't change it without me bringing in a change of address even though it was their mistake. I was then "unregistered" from the practice because I didn't make an appointment between May-September 2019 - imagine that! Because you don't make an appointment, you are unregistered - and I only found this out when I called today to make an appointment because I'm ill. The standard of professionalism and care from the GPs and the nurse there has also been very hit and miss.

The staff are very good but the doctor is always late whenever you are having an appointment you have to wait more than an hour I had an appointment I waited there for 45 minutes no one called me my little child was with me he was really bored he started to annoy others and some of patient was bullying me By saying that you have to learn how to Control your child I decided to leave the GP after more than 50 minutes waiting .that is the worst GP ever I seen in my life whenever I’m going every patient have the same problem as me they have to wait more than 50 minutes or maybe a hour just because the doctor is late as usual . hopeThe doctor had the same feeling as the staff have their on reception or I wish they could change the doctor

I literally only stay with this GP Practice because its a stone throw from home. Absolutely no point booking an appointment as they're always 30+ minutes late seeing you and you have to like it or lump it or book another appointment...for the same thing to happen. My 0910am Fasted Blood Test appointment with the nurse was pushed back 40mins the other day by the receptionist, who deemed the other Blood Test patients more urgent!! Don't worry that I haven't eaten or the fact that I have to go to work and/or lose half day holiday if I'm more than 2hrs at my appointment. I complained to the nurse (who might I add is possibly the nicest person who works there) and she hadn't even been made aware of the changes.

Worst GP practice I have ever come across. Receptionists are always rude, doctors are constantly changing and appointments are hardly ever available. They basically open their appointment slots up 1 day at a time so you are forced to call in the day before to try and get an appointment the next day. Therefore you often have to wait in a telephone queue for hours before getting through and even then the appointment is not guaranteed. You will probably have to call again the next day and deal with the same ordeal. There has also been a few occasions that we have booked an appointment and turned up, only to be told that we don't have an appointment.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They are absolutely completely and utterly incapable of doing anything, I know to some that might seem like I’m over exaggerating but I honestly can’t stress enough how badly this practice is run. People will honestly die due to gross negligence. Avoid this doctors surgery at all costs your honestly better of suffering with whatever issue you have in silence than going here as the stress of being seen, listened to or referred will cause only more trouble to whatever issue you think you might have. Anyone running or working for this practice should be ashamed of themselves. It’s disgraceful.

Every appointment I have had at the Dalston Practice has been over an hour late. I usually spend this time picturing how I would renovate the waiting area, because it is quite literally the most depressing place on earth. The GP was so arrogant and didn't help me at all. Most recently I phoned reception for some test results, they told me the results were in, but to phone back later to speak to the nurse. I called the clinic about 8 times that day, constantly being told to call back later. I finally spoke to the Nurse three days later (who is lovely by the way) and she told me my test results weren't even back. Cheers Dalson Practice!

  • feride Tekneci

This practice has only one doctor. Ive been waiting nearly two hours to be seen by the doctor. So sad to see this practice like this. What does emergency clinic means dalston practice? Could you pleaee define this. On the desk it writes on a A4 paper Emergency Clinic is from 09:00 to 09:30 each weekday morning. I came to the practice at 09:10 and the time in 11:29. The Receptionist is rude. I asked her for the definition and she said u need emergency appointment to be seen. Well it doesnt state it on the paper. Also receptionist you need to smile a bit. We need more doctors at this practice not just one.

This review is solely about the Practice Manager, who I think is the wife of the main doctor. My husband was a patient at this practice when he died, aged 39. The Practice Manager tried to block me from seeing his notes at every step, delaying, making excuses, even throwing up spurious legal reasons, until I showed her the law that allowed me to access them and I threatened to report her. Her unnecessary blocking actions and attitude added to my grief. The other staff were very friendly and, frankly, seemed embarrassed to be working for her. I never dealt with any of the GPs.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been calling since yesterday with no luck of getting through to the reception. It was only until my sister in law called from her phone that they magically picked up this afternoon, otherwise I had been calling since 9am without getting through. An emergency appointment was made as I am 8 months pregnant and the receptionist told me to expect a call from the Doctor from 5pm - 8pm. It is now 9pm and I am sickened and appauled that this is the kind of service they offer especially to vulnerable people at this time.

  • Runyi Osim

This Practice was okay pre-covid.Now it has gone down the hill. You can hardly get through the reception to book an appointment. I have been trying to get an appointment for my little kids in weeks and when you finally get through to someone..they keep saying no appointments available, call back next day. When you call..It is the same thing.I am currently looking to change GP.I probably will need to take my kids to the emergency section at the hospital. Really terrible service. The only positive about Dalston Practice is the Practice Nurse.

This doctors should be closed down, and struck off my mum has been ringing to find the result of a blood test as she is constantly unwell and collapsed in the street after ringing the reception every day to speak to the doctor and been told he's busy a receptionist said there is a problem there finally after 2 weeks she has been told doctor will ring her next week as they are not having people come in to see the doctor even though another reception said they are seeing patients my mum is going to join another doctors after this

  • E P

Terrible practice. Do not bother. The nurse is lovely however, pre pandemic the practice would cancel appointments when i was already at the practice waiting, this happened multiple times. I called for an urgent appointment today to be told they have removed me as a patient and they dont know why but they can't do anything, I am now being told i have to re register and wait 5 weeks for an appointment. I am registering elsewhere. If you value your health go somewhere else.

  • Ross Winney

Lost my sample, and wasn't noticed until I waited four weeks for results and called back. Even though I had given it in a bright shiny red gift bag! They could give no explanation and only apologised. Had to take time from work to attend their walk-in (no appointments available), and get new forms etc for NEW sample. Let's hope my symptoms don't turn out to be anything serious or someone's complete incompetency in the medical profession has impacted worse health!

  • Amirul Hoque

I have been registered at this practice since 1984, the doctors and staff have always been helpful and efficient. Practice is very spacious and clean with many facilities to accommodate your needs. They provide various leaflets regarding information about health and diseases. Nurse is very welcoming and provides a great service, I am able to get an appointment at short notice which is very convenient. Would definitely recommend this practice.

  • Jennifer Eze

This is by far the worst GP practice that could possibly exist. From the receptionist through to the management. How do you have receptionist making medical decisions on things they know nothing about. The attitude is very unprofessional, there is a complete disregard for what people might be going through and their lack of training is astounding. One wrong decision could potentially put someone's life in Jeopardy and this is so wrong.

  • Eunice

Female asian GP does not listen to patients needs makes up stuff even though thats not you are telling her , very rude and gives wrong information, tells you that u can buy drugs at pharmacy without prescription and when u get to the pharmacy they tell you thats the wrong information and you need a prescription. This GP needs to be removed because she is putting patients life at risk

  • Emma Jennings

Despite some of the reviews here, so far my experience has been really positive. I joined earlier this Summer, got through to the receptionist straight away all 3 times i have called. Had an introductory health check with the nurse a few days later (barely had to wait) and when enquiring about how to order a prescription i had clear instructions from a helpful receptionist.

  • Jay Cole

GP surgery completely gone down hill. Will potion and kill you. Gave me penicillin when I'm allergic, doesn't make appointments even though they have no patients in the waiting room. GP told me I have cancer - haven't had my tests done yet. Incompetent at the highest level. Only interested in hiring their family that doesn't want to work. Disappointed o the highest level

  • cypriot B

Worst surgery I've been registered too. Waiting time for my appointment can extend up to an hour and a half which has caused me to be late to work before. Has a rude and arrogant female head of staff. No Quality service besides their nurse on the 1st floor. Avoid registration to prevent being angry and unhappy of the service.

  • Tanja Schoenberger

hardly ever pick up the phone, missed my medication a few times now as i either couldn't get through or repeat medication wasn't issued despite me calling/chasing. They used to be really good, reliable and friendly so it's sad that I'm feeling forced to switch to a new GP after almost 10 years.

  • _. XxSkrrrxx

Came inside the GP to get collect my medication and book an appointment. As i was waiting i felt very comfortable and loved by the hospitality of the young, if I’m not mistaken, Bengali staff workers at the receptions they really made me feel safe and seemed like they wanted to fulfil my needs.

  • dayz chou

It’s crazy how bad this place is, I had an emergency and got told the only appointments were available in 2-3 weeks !? how crazy is that! furthermore when I went there for the appointment the GP came to no help , idk what goes on there but this place needs improvements as soon as possible

  • nives gadoni

If a doctor tells you, you not sick enuff yet to get antibiotics, clearly seeing you are sick it’s absolutely redicoulous. A medical center who refuses medical care, but wants to prescribe you a painkiller when I got a virus! Because it’s free there is no real treatment in there!

  • Anna Wallace

I've been a patient here for about three years and I'm not sure they've got anything right, ever. Appointments prone to be over an hour late, rude reception team, arrogant GP. Best thing here is the nurse on the 1st floor who is at least courteous and professional.

  • Kanke Ishaku

Long waiting times even when seeing Nurse. Receptionist are quite rude and arrogant. They have a clueless and could care less attitude unfortunately. Quite disappointing as I have been a patient for almost three years and dread having to go to the GP.w

  • Natural Flowism Studios

Dear Dalston Practice Team I received my nose ears and eye drops. I am so relieved. Thank you so much. Thank you also for all the dedication, patience, and assistance you give everyday. I am so grateful! Lavinia De Ayr Seasons Greetings Merry Christmas

  • laoise collins

If you have the option of joining other practices - do so. The nurses are great but waiting times are over an hour, appointments get cancelled last minute, there is a very high turnover of staff, very hard to get appointment with a doctor.

  • Veronica Esposito

Terrible experience, I have just found another GP, they are very unprofessional they keep cancel appointments and when you are lucky to get one it is easy that you can spend you morning waiting to be seen by the doctor/nurse

  • Noura Nassar

Recently joined, was worried about the negative reviews, but so far my experience has been good. Got an appointment 2 days after requesting, GP was on time, had some tests done, and results were quick. Staff is nice.

  • laurence hothersall

Can't quite believe that they refuse to post documents to a patient with a broken ankle. I am sure their inability to send any correspondence by post must negatively affect lots of people with mobility issues.

  • Chris Baxter

Took me a day to get through to the receptionist on the phone only to be told that the next available appointment was in over a week's time, which was pointless. I recommend finding another GP in the area.

  • Alice Mercer

Awful system of booking appointments - apparently you have to call back exactly at 1pm to secure an appointment for the following week! And this is after the doctor MISSED my previous appointment.

  • Xavier Miah

I've been going here for more than 25 years. Dr Kawali gives great advice and is very knowledgeable. The practice is run well and is well organised. I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Áurea Monteiro

The 5 stars goes for Dr Das , he really deserves it because honestly it’s the best doctor I have dealt with , he goes above and beyond to make sure I am happy , really do appreciate him

  • NN K

I’ve never been seen at my appointment time it’s ridiculous don’t see the point of appointment times if someone else is going to be seen at the time I been scheduled for

  • finnie

Can take weeks just to book an appointment. Seems to be severely under staffed. Waiting for over 45 minutes to an hour to see a Doctor is normal. Staff not great either.

  • adiatu conteh

There are amazing people here and I've been with them for more than 11years I know all the doctors They are all understanding peaceful and kind I'm so happy their my GP

  • Jessica Mckenna

I have been a patient here for about 6 or 7 years now, and in that time have seen a variety of GP’s - each of them extremely helpful, empathetic and knowledgeable.

  • James Healy

Really badly doctors practice. For example, phone lines say they will open at 8am but then don’t and there’s no way to leave a message or anything. stay away

  • Dave Barker

Tell you to come a certain time and you still wait over your time booked a appointment with the receptionist yesterday I phoned today and he didn't book it

  • F Mulla

Where’s the 0 star. I was told by 111 to call them up immediately and arrange a doctors appointment. Lady refused and said to call tomorrow. Stay away!

  • Grace

The doctors are brilliant but you can never get an appointment. I had to leave because mine were cancelled 3 times in a row. Such bad communication.

  • Callum Jenkins

Registration was easy, the receptionist was very helpful, getting me a check up straight away. Didn't get an appointment but I did come in at 11am.

  • Paulina Jaśniak

Very disorganized. Some of the staff members are very arrogant. I always have to wait for about 2h even though I make my appointments in advance.

  • Adam Lawrence

Don't like to criticise NHS but the service here is beyond awful, especially at the front desk. Not only a poor standard but rude too

  • minz

  • stewart lawrence

Everytime I call I'm waiting more than 40 minutes on the phone to speak to someone its actually ridiculous
