I walk through this park twice a day and have mixed feelings about it. Positives: One of the best spots in Bristol to check out fresh, top quality graffiti. Check out the photos here for some examples, mostly just from two of the many walls. Sometimes an amazing new piece will be waiting for you in the morning and it will be replaced by the time you come back in the evening. Great skating/bmx/scooter setup which is heavily used by everyone from 5 year old kids to "the Deaner"'s own aging DLH crew, many of whom must be closer to 50. The kids' play park has a working zip wire. Of all the play park items the older ones look for, a zip wire must be the most popular. Reasonable sized grass area for summer days. Negatives The litter is really bad. Not just the amount but also the type (lots of broken bottles leaving sharp remains). The council send a clean up van several times a week to tidy up but there's no way they can stay on top of the tide of litter. Similarly, kids like to bring stuff to the Deaner to burn it. Sometimes quite big stuff. Drunks congregate in the park quite a bit giving it an unsafe feel at times. Monday mornings when the Salvation Army is open is the busiest, but they are there on and off all week.
This park is packed with life. The artwork that covers every inch of the area is at least colourful and at most, dazzlingly impressive. Though you might find some odd types after dark and discover the occasional yobbish teen, most of the people skating and passing through are pleasant and keep to themselves. There's a pretty solid court for whatever sports require a court and there's a good amount of grass, considering it's mainly a skate park. There's plenty of benches and places to sit and there's an alright view from the top of the park. Overall pretty good, looking past brief and rare encounters with lowlife youts.
Actually it's feel like it's too worth it to visit this park. These reviwes reminds me smirti van park which is near by me. I am from New Delhi from INDIA and our near by also one park situated that is Smriti Van , Mayur Vihar phase-3, in this park there is 2.4km running track my best time is 9:15 minutes, there is a big empty space for football and cricket. Government provided two local gyms in it also. But they don't fill water again in the lake bcz of some incidents . If you came India (Delhi) then visit it but don't go after 7-8 pm. (critical warning)
Dean Lane Funday is an annual joy. The best of anarchic skate and punk fun. Brilliant Graf hall of fame too. Big up all the DLH lot that do not organise the event every year. There is nothing meaner than the Deaner. You need to know where the cracks and holes are before you get to grips with the park. You also need to make sure you’ve swept the glass, cans and other much out of the way before you ride. It is not a park for the faint hearted.

Love this little park, from the community garden growing a wide range of produce, to the graffiti wall and the skate park, there's something for everyone. Seems to always be a small amount of broken glass in some areas (once resulting in a trip to the vets for my little dog after she cut her paw) and the bins are often full so could do with emptying a bit more frequently. Little moans aside, it's a lovely place, plenty to do plus lots of places to stop and relax in the sunshine!
great park with stuff for little ones and older children too. so baby swings, small slide, wobbly chairs etc. There is a zip line plus climbing apparatus with slides and bridges attached. only down side is that there are no facilities e.g. toilets. Big green area in side park and outside too but usually a few dogs running about. Nice place to spend a few hours.
Nice park right in the heart of Bedminster. I was there with a friend who runs a youth club there for the children and young people of this area. Its a good size park with a part for younger children and a skate park as well and it's right next to the local swimming pool.
Place filthy 4 year old daughter cut hand on broken glass, louts smoking weed and dog turd greets you on arrival . Run down dirty place that I would never take my kids to again. We are into extreme sports but this place was toooooo extreme for us. Don't go there
Iconic and the new section at the top with the flat ground is a credit to the people that made it happen! It's kind of Bristol's Mecca for skateboarding the place gives you a feeling like very few skateparks can! A must visit for any skater coming to Bristol!!!
We'll appointed enclosed park with equipment for all ages. Several slides, big and little swings, tunnels, big climbing frame, zire wire and many wobbly and hanging devices! Bit of graffiti due to nearby skate ark but we'll keptand fun on a sunny day.
This is a cool park. Half of it is a skate park, where there is lots of fun graffitti, and some sporting areas. The other half is a really nice play park, where loads of parents bring their young kids. It's very multi generational, in a nice way.
Excellent, albeit muddy, primary and younger children's play equipment including swings, see saws and a death slide. Glass free courts and brilliant skate park.

Well looked after, climbing frame for younger children plus child and baby swings. Good areas for picnics and trees for shade. Skate park area for older kids and adults. No public facilities though access to the swimming pool toilets allowed.
Great place , love the old trees and the play area for the kids , skate park is amazing , it is just such a shame the bandstand has been removed ☹️☹️ , but on the up side loving the herb garden at the top . …
Great place to skate, walk your dog's,walk your kids and let them have a mooch about the fenced playground or my personal favourite.....just sit and chilling watching all of the above and the world go by under the beautiful old trees!
People use to be so nice there so don't be shy! It's surrounded by amazing graffitis that are daily changing (obviously) and the floor is amazing for any kind of rolling. There is also basketball area, park and table tennis …
Great for skateboarders but frequently messy with significant amount of litter and remnants of drug use. A small childrens play park is situated slightly further up that doesn't seem to be blighted by the same litter problems.
The grassy area is a perfectly serviceable play park, nothing special when victoria park, greville smythe and even Ashton Court are so close by, however the skate park is great, really awesome graffiti and chill vibes.
Nice local park. Works well as a skate spot and a place where preschool/primary kids can play without getting in the skaters way. Wish it had a bit more investment in new equipment, but it’s a great local resource.
wonderful place for family's & children a amazing sports park for youths . Fully peace there. Bless & thanks Emily park is alright..The youths need sponsorship + help. Thank you. Moussa kouyate bristol.
Great Skate park, but set on a hill. Impressive Street art venue as well, with a friendly atmosphere to just watch if you want. Children's play park just next to it and grassy areas to enjoy the sun on.
Love this park, lovely friendly atmosphere and great for skating, boarding, balling, play ground and community garden. Always great music, live or some random blasting good vibes.
It's got good play area but I wish people would pick up their rubbish. The skate park next to it sometimes means you get the odd waft of people smoking 'herbal' products nearby.
Something for everyone, young children play, older children play, trees and grassland for walks, lawn bowls and tennis plus a coffee van and often ice cream van parked up
Very nice park, great atmosphere,a lot of things to do for anyone- children's playground, skatepark, basketball playground and superb calestenics equipment …
Greatest skatepark in the world!! Loads of glass and stones Bristolcitycouncil could do with providing some repairs and litter clearing. DLH Nothing Meaner …
It's okay. It's pretty disfunctional and is small. Little kids bit pretty good. Old school skate park (good) with a few very sketchy dirty corners.
Nice little park in the heart of Southville. Nice play area for kids. Big skate park. It could be kept better, tidier, but overall is a good park.
My local park with a nice play area for smaller children. Skate park seems to be good for teens. There's also a really sweet community food patch.
Quite a small garden with lots of places for children to play and big skate board park. There were quite a lot of rubbish near the bristol pool.
Boarding, basketball, babies/small children. These are well catered for. Rather small and noisy is my overall experience as an older man More
Great during the day, lack of lighting makes the rails and ramps extremely dangerous at night especially if you're walking dogs.
Handy bedminster playpark but very muddy when wet and equipment in need of some repairs. Rustic skate area for the older ones.
In need of some restoration.. very tatty

Fantastic park for all the family. So much playground equipment, basketball/football courts & a great Dean Lane skate park
I'm not a skate boarder but it looks good to me. The park also has a kids playground but the park itself is quite small
Go here a lot with our 5yr old boy, he absolutely loves this place lol. Just to add Uts also lit up gor the evening.
Family and dog friendly surroundings. Toddler friendly too. Nice zip wire and space for scooters and skateboarding.
Lovely park and great skate park, keeped the kids entertained for hours but there was alot off broken glass!
