We were discriminated against and embarrassed by staff. My husband is 26 and I am 24. I understand that there is a store policy that if you look under 25 and are accompanying someone into the store you both must present your ID's. I didn't know this at the time and was with my husband who was buying the alcohol who had his ID. We uncomfortably had to go home to get my ID so that we could purchase. We were inconvenienced, but both agreed that it was store policy. We had dinner in the oven and just wanted a bottle of wine to go with it. We walked in the store again and a different staff member yelled out in front of everyone in the store, "Do you have your IDs?". We presented our IDs and watched as a 16 year old looking boy in line carried a carton of beer with an older woman to be served in front of us by the same person who questioned my age. She never asked his age and served them as normal. After waiting for the customers to leave, as to not embarrass or inconvenience them, my husband asked how old did the boy look to the staff member. The guy serving us defended the 'looking 25 year old policy', but admitted that the boy looked around 19 years old. This is a flawed system. If you look under 25, you should ALWAYS be asked, not just when staff feel like it. We felt we were discriminated against and embarrassed by everyone in the store today and I do not feel comfortable returning to this Dan Murphy, which I have been going to for years.

Just came in with my teenage daughter to buy a whiskey glass for my husband. They asked her for ID despite me making the purchase and not actually buying any alcohol whatsoever. I asked the female serving us whether she wasn’t allowed in the store with a parent and she said no. I reiterated my question as I’ve never heard of this rule before and she said technically yes but because she was older I should just leave her in the car... ( clearly she isn’t a parent because what sane adult leaves their minor alone in the colonnades carpark). The cashier made it so uncomfortable! I would understand if I was suspiciously buying a 4 pack of cruisers but we weren’t even buying alcohol. Maybe you need to train your staff in common sense... this made a cute little outing to buy my husband/ her dad a little gift really uncomfortable and we felt really judged by this young cashier on some sort of power trip.

Hi . Before I went to the store I have a checked the price of polish vodka Zubrowka on the internet . For members was $47 instead $54 . There was a price $47 attatched to the shelf . Happy from this discount I went to the first cashier next to the front door . The grumpy lady with the reddish hair scanned my members card and she demanded $54 . I told her that there is a ticket with $47 and I asked for manager . I havent seen him but her friend brought a ticket with the $47 price . I paid it and will not come to this store any more . This cashier told me that prices are changing everyday. It happened to me twice and only with this person . Shame . Maybe is time to review her customer approach . I have a nothing against other people working there because they are nice and helpful . Every time I went to this store i check the prices on the internet . 4

My favourite shop (still). ❤️ Today I had a problem where the checkout girl refused to honour a price match, and called her supervisor when I queried this. The supervisor also said no, because "we have been told not to accept prices which the customer has got off Google". I asked to speak to the manager and, as soon as he arrived, the supervisor explained the situation in her own words. The manager immediately said the store would match the price, and when she (the supervisor) began to disagree, he took over, opened a register and put the sale through himself. Well done Lee. Incidentally, it still totalled over $150, and I am still a happy My Dan's Club member.

Not a friendly place to shop in the evenings due to the employment of a security guard who might be standing by the entrance, the checkouts or doing a lap of the store. I assume that some kind of misbehaviour took place at this store. Apart from that it's a decent enough Dan Murphy's (albeit with awkward parking) and the large size affords a decent selection. In the past trollies were nowhere to be seen but in more recent times I have been able to find one as I walk in. I think next time if I want to browse wines at a quieter time of day I'll try Dan Murphy's competitor(s).

Placed an order for next day delivery, received a text at 10:30ish to say my order had been despatched. 1:08pm i called to check if.it was still coming and advised it could be as late as 7pm. Waited home all day. Received an email at 4:17pm to say its on its way and it wont be long until your enjoying your order.... 6:50pm i ring to be told someone tried to call me and they came to deliver but noone was home!!!! Who did they speak to if they tried to call and which house did they go to!!!! Appauling service Nothing delivered!!!!

Refused to sell to a middle aged lady becuase she had her daughter with her. Her daughter who was maybe 12. Why you may ask? She was wearing a school uniform and carrying one bottle of wine since the mum had two already and was holding the girls hand. OUTRAGEOUS!! A CHILD!! IN A UNIFORM!! OH THE AUDACITY!! Like what do you think the plan was there? The kid was gonna buy the wine and get hammered during recess? Next thing you know these hardened criminals will be trading their fruit roll ups for crack!!

went in a while back with my 16 year old son and purchased a carton of beer, at the checkout the staff member asked my son for ID, i stated i was paying for it and he had nothing to do with the transaction apart from carry it to the car, she then pointed to some sign about needing ID as proof of age, again i pointed out it was for me and he had nothing to do with the purchase. ended up asking for her supervisor to get some common sense happening. not an isolated incident either i might add

Twice now in 7 days have gone into dan murphys and when asked for a product that wasnt on the shelf they admitted that they had some out the back on a pallet but it was basically to hard for them to get! Get your staff to do there job and stop being so lazy and restock the shelves and if need be get your lazy staff to get the products of the pallet when a customer requires it! If it was my business id be disgusted that my employees did this!

They basically have any alcohol you can think of, but... They brag about having the cheapest prices but very rarely do. Make sure you check other shops prices before you go as they will beat cheaper prices if you can prove it. I've save the website or screen shot the beer or bottles you want before you get to the checkout. This store in particular has a great friendly staff, very helpful and patient even when they are busy.

It has a large variety is for the 3 stars but although it has a large variety it is more expensive or priced the same for beer and premix spirits than other bottleshops in the area especially 4 packs and 6 packs. Bonus with other bottleshops is they've got drive throughs and you don't have to get out of your car unlike dans. With that said though I find them the best prices on spirits by the bottle and wine.

It's like any other Dan Murphys, but it's not overly big. The selection still seems to be okay, but prices are not as good as they once were. And I don't like that you have to be a member to get specials, this kind of thing puts me off a place so I am starting to use local I dependant liquor stores where I can, they are similar prices, will price may have anyway and I feel better about supporting them.

They really need a better store layout, everything is everywhere which has you walking around in circles trying to find what you want and it's hard to get around with a trolley. During busy times e.g. Xmas etc, you're better off going to your local, the couple dollars price difference and VERY long lines aren't worth the stress. Other than that it's good for a browse when not in a hurry.

All depends on the staff member who helps you. I met a very unhelpful staff member and as a result I left angry and frustrated. I determined that I would not allow such a person to have an effect on my day and returned 45 minutes later and found another staff member, Andrew, who was very helpful and assisted me with all of my purchases. Well done Andrew you are and asset to Dan Murphy's.

Great specials and member benefits, great range, friendly staff. The only downside to this store is during peak boozy times (pub holidays, Xmas ect) the checkout line is long and snakes through the aisles in the store, making shopping hard around waiting customers. Maybe a gate system could work in front of the checkouts but that's really the only hassle. Love my local Dan's

Really unhappy with my delivery experience. I did an order for almost $500 worth of items, 15 bottles- 3 boxes worth. Only 1 box (which was 3 bottles) arrived. Rang customer service twice who said the missing boxes would be delivered ASAP, but delivery still took far too long. Then one of the items I ordered was replaced with a different product of lesser value.

I came into the store not knowing where anything was and of course I was looking for a specific product, the girls on the check outs were very busy. One lovely girl by the name of Bonnie saw me standing there looking quite lost and in my opinion went out of her way to help me. She made me feel quite relaxed and I walked out a very happy camper. Went in today to pick up my 'click and collect' order. 2 cartons of Yellowtail Rose'. Unfortunately they only had one carton. The lovely manager let me take a stroll down the Rose' aisle and pick "something better or of equal value...within reason"....well. My $44.50 carton turned into a $98 carton. Placed an online order which was marked as delivered at midnight from this store after a two day delay yesterday. Hahn Superdrys. However, there was nothing at my door and the courier - Endeavour - won't respond. If this could be looked into, that would be great. Not sure what happened as there has been no issues in the past. Much appreciated.

Not happy, ordered Cognac and now over 10 business day and still not here. Tracking was provided but has not updated. Tried to phone them but automated service did not answer my question and did not allow for operator contact. Dan Murphys has cornered the market so as far as costumer service goes... well they don't seem to care. Poor form.

Quality selection and great prices, easy to find the wine after with the way the place is organised and clearly labelled. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful (thr guy I spoke to was anyway) and plenty of registers open on a Friday evening meant I was out the door within 2 minutes of making my selections even though they were so busy.

Good selection, however, they need to sort out their own understanding of the Woolworths rewards. While you don't get discount with a Woolworths rewards card, you do still get points. Not only was I told "you can't use that card here" and "we aren't owned by Woolworths" I had to insist they scanned my rewards card

Great off licence, plenty to choose from both Australian and world beers wines and spirits and pretty good prices, especially the weekly deals. Good walk in fridge if you need a cold case for a quick party. Great place to cool off on the hottest days in Adelaide. Cheers Dan! This cold one is on you.

Charged over $300 for item priced at $36.. then after explaing to scan the box with 8 lime juice. Then tries charging me over $50.. Again ask lady to scan the box. Rude and can't see that 8 a 245ml lime juice cost over $300. Be careful you don't get over priced from rude staff.

More stock but you can never find anyone to help you to find something or give advice/information about a wine etc. Other wine cellars might help you select something but it is becoming less and less, and that depends on the staff that are willing to help

Cheapest and widest range of alcohol. I still remember my first time to an Uncle Dan's and the amazement I experienced that a liquor store had shopping trolleys. So much booze a trolley is required!
