I recently visited Darby's Dungeon and it was truly a 10/10 experience! The staff is super friendly and inviting, treating you like family from the moment you walk in. They have an amazing selection of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and I would highly recommend trying a lavender latte with light lavender flavoring if you're a coffee lover, and for tea lovers, their earl grey flavor is a must-try! The space is perfect for both big and small crowds, and they even accommodated our large group on the spot, which was amazing. However, if you have a group of six or more, it's best to call ahead to ensure you're set up properly. The selection of games they have is impressive, and our group had no trouble finding something to play. Although I do wish they had several more board games in their library, the games they did have were fantastic. Darby and Taylor took amazing care of us during our visit, and we felt like valued customers throughout our entire stay. The staff openly interacted with our group, with playful jabs and jokes, which added to the overall experience. It was clear that they love what they do and are passionate about making sure their customers have a great time. In addition to the great drinks and games, they also have an awesome choice of merchandise to browse and purchase. Overall, Darby's Dungeon is a great stop for geek group outings or for anyone looking for a fun and unique experience. Darby's Dungeon is hands down the place to go to run your nerd games. The inside is clean and well maintained and feels like a nice old tavern. Aaaaand you can buy beer and mead like an old tavern. It's delicious! Everyone is extremely nice, unlike an old tavern, but if you're sassy they'll sass you back. It's all great! Their selection of games and books is pretty good, and they can order whatever you need if their distributor has it in stock! They have some dice, some minis, you know, nerd stuff. And then there's the best bit! Lots of booths! Open late every day! The tables have DND MINI GRIDS!! Bring your dry erase markers and draw on the tabletop, it's erasable! There's a power outlet for DMs to plug in a laptop! Great place. If they also made ramen I'd never leave.

I discovered Darby's Dungeon as a recommendation from my eye doctor (of all people), which just goes to show how wide of an audience you can find at Darby's. It's a great place to hang out and have a good time, whether it's playing a TTRPG, playing some weekly Flesh and Blood, or just dabbling with your friends with one of the MANY board games you can find here. I've been visiting Darby's for about a year now. You'll find Darby's to be a good hang out spot with a nice selection of drinks including a decent selection of coffee. I definitely recommend checking out the Dungeon. As you join in on the various games going on, including Wednesday RPG nights, you'll meet a lot of people and find that if you're just getting into RPG systems, that Darby's is newbie friendly.

Darby does an amazing job with providing her clientele with great service, good deals, and a good experience. I asked if she sells Pokemon cards, and she was able to order some in just so that I could purchase them from her! Her prices are very fair and she makes sure that nobody is able to monopolize the cards when the new sets come out. There are always reasonable limits for how many packs or box sets you can buy. This is my new favorite place to get cards!! And the decor is amazing!!

There is nothing like Darby's! The atmosphere, staff, and selection are truly one-of-a-kind. The dedication Darby & team have had to keeping patrons safe during COVID is worth five stars on its own. This store has built a wonderful community, both virtual and in person, unlike any other. The staff know their products and make phenomenal recommendations - I have not been disappointed by any purchases. This is my #1 stop when it comes to picking our gifts (for myself and others!)

We were here on a Thursday at noon. The only customers in the place. ( Both kids still on college break.) We like family games. ( A lot) We played Wingspan which is super confusing but super pretty. ( Resource management style game ) Last time we were here we got captain Sonar which is a HOOT and much easier than this honker of a game. It costs $5/person to play. But you can play as many games as you have time for. AND your $counts towards a game if you want.

This place is an absolute gem in Jacksonville, and I hope it stays open forever. Came here last week for my friends bachelorette party, and then ended up coming back again this week, because we all had such a great time! We played some games and painted some minis. Their loyalty program is awesome. The drinks were yummy. Staff is funny and friendly. Will definitely be back any chance I get. Thank you Darby for creating such a fun place and environment ♥️

Went for the first time to get some gifts and this place was just too cute! We got gifts and a cup of coffee, mead was an option but we still had stuff to do today, and the staff was super friendly. They explained all their themed nights and classes they offer for anyone looking to get connected, we specifically talked about ttrpgs but it looked like they had several board games and the like too. Definitely worth stopping in to see!

Our family has been visiting Darby’s for a couple years now. Every time one of us goes in we are treated very well. The owner, Darby has been very nice and helpful every time we visit. My son likes to go in to play games with friends there. It’s a great place to meet up since it’s a safe environment for my teen to hang out and have fun. I recommend Darby’s to table top gamers and gift givers alike!

The owners and staff create a welcoming and fun atmosphere whether you're there for an event or just a quick game, whether you're a regular or a first timer. Wow, I have been to game stores all over the country. I think this is the nicest looking store i have ever been. Its cozy and very comfortable feeling. The game selection is excellent for this size of the store and the RPG section is outstanding. I met the owner and Darby is awesome. Very knowledgeable and seems to love the hobby. Definately worth a visit.

Staff was amazing and informative. Clean didn't smell like nerd. Had decent space to play games. The tables in the back had grids for dry erase markers for maps. It has coffee and grown up drinks *wink* especially mead. What gets you more in the mood for fantasy time then some mead lol. Great store check it out if you have time.

Great atmosphere, lots of games you can play. Awesome looking hot coco, which I can only mention having seen, but I didn't order it. Betting it is fantastic too. Good selection of drinks. The Monday night magic group made this out of state gamer feel welcome. Really glad I found this place during my brief stay in the area.

A small cute place with some interesting nerdy decorations. They have a small bar and coffee area. They are over charging but they kinda are on some stuff. You gotta pay to use their tables. Again it's nothing crazy but I've never seen that until we came here. Pretty good dice selection but again small is the word

This is my favorite little shop. Where else can you go play D&D get a good beer and be around people you love and meet new people at? Nowhere else but here. Darby is amazing. She makes everyone feel happy warm and welcome. And it's this great little place I recommend going all the time

I really love coming here and just hanging out with friends. I’m pretty new to coming here but I’ve never had any issues. Darby herself is pretty laid back and welcoming. I feel like this place really just gives you the right to be yourself and have fun!

Darby’s Dungeon has a great fun and welcoming vibe, I visited during a multiplayer session ( I forget the name of the game ) everyone allowed me to watch the game in progress and it was very entertaining. I like the variety of drinks and snack!

I loved the atmosphere of the bar and table top gaming, me and my partner went today and got a d&d players handbook and the starter kit and played some games, we are super excited to go back and make some friends.

Friendly staff and great menu of rare and unique adult beverages geared towards the gamer crowd. Lots of store copies of games you can play with your friends while you enjoy a drink. Highly recommend!

The owner is lovely. And while it is a rather small establishment, the little touches to the sign and goblets really makes the experience. Great selection of boardgames too. Will highly recommend.

It is a great shop that is a cornerstone for many local people. The owners do a great deal to help their fellow jacksonvillians feel like a part of a community. Killer hot chocolate also!

Darby is a really nice person and the game selection, is just enough to be not overwhelming. The gaming booth/eating booth was spacious and relaxed. The drink selection was nice.
