I have had a terrible experience at David Jones Macquarie centre at the Dermalogica/Elizabeth Arden section of the store. I bought two expensive products. That night I realised the face cream I bought was the wrong one. I returned the next day with my bag of products. The lady who served me was very unfriendly and kept pushing to sell me other products with minimal information she could give me about those products. She clearly had almost no knowledge of the difference between products I was asking about, and as skin care products are very hit or miss, I want to make sure I want to buy the best one for my skin, so I didn’t trust her lack of knowledge and information she gave me. When she took my bag with the face cream I was returning, she rushed me and was very unpleasant about it! I left in a rush and that night I realised I had both products in the bag, when I only intended to return the face cream. I returned the next day, assuming they would have kept it aside or be understanding about it. The same lady and another staff member were there. I explained that I had left the other product in the bag as she took the whole bag rather than the single product. She was aggressive and stated there was only one product in the bag and refused to even go check out the back in case she was mistaken. She was dismissive even I insisted this was the truth and the product I have not received back was $89. I am extremely disappointed in the service and believe she was frustrated and is not being honest about my other product. I am very upset about this as $89 is a lot to spend on a product that has now not been returned to me. I would like compensation for this. I will not be returning to this area of David Jones.

After visiting David Jones Macquarie yesterday I was highly disappointed in a number of areas. 1. The staff had little knowledge on products in the store. I asked multiples SA for products to which each replied “I don’t think we have that, you’ll probably need to go to the city” for the money that is spent in this store, staff should know for sure if they have a product or not, at very least be able to follow it up for the customer. 2. There were minimal staff in the store, being that it is the holiday period coming up, one would think there would be additional staff and not the bare minimum. I stood at 3 counters to purchase items and had to bounce around until someone came to serve me. 3. The gift wrapping was ridiculous, I rely on gift wrapping as a benefit of shopping at David Jones for all of my gifts. The wrapping was awful and I saw another person also return their gift for rewrapping as they were also dissatisfied. My gifts looked like a child had wrapped them and then DJs stickers placed over the sticky tape. There was no ribbon, no boxes and no effort put in at all. The sales staff had mentioned they had a lot of gifts to wrap and were overwhelmed. It is not entirely their fault. The store manager needs to ensure their staff have the skills to meet the standard of David Jones and customers, this is not Kmart. Most other David Jones stores have exceeded my expectations when visiting, purchasing and receiving services however, I will not be visiting this particular store again and advise others to seek an alternate store as well.

I am so dissapointed. I specifically told a staff member to put aside a C&M top for me on Monday and i would be there on Wednesday as I will be working the late night christmas retail hours and that would be the only time i could come in. I even offered to pay for it in advance as i was desperate for it to stay on hold. She assured me that it was fine and it would be available for me on Wednesday. I called in on Wednesday to confirm before coming in only to be informed that the item that was supposed to be on hold for me had been sold. The staff member went to no effort to find where else the item was stocked and told me to "ring around or buy online". I made it specifically clear when ordering that i required the item before christmas, though she couldn't confirm that any of her alternatives would suit my deadline. After failing to apologise for the inconvience she caused she swiftly ended the call. Working in customer service 6 days a week i know what it means to provide good and bad service. I wish i could give 0 stars, im shocked and appauled that someone could be so careless and disrespectful when working in customer service.

The lady at the sunglasses section on Saturday morning (16/12/17) was by far the rudest most unhelpful sales person EVER. On my way to the hairdressers i went in there around 8:30am to buy sunnies since i forgot mine at home (as i was in a hurry),apart from the scortching sun out that morning i had a big night so needed sunnies bad and i was looking abit cray with my messy hair. Told her the style i was after and asked for the ones on SALE (didn't really want to spend too much on something i was only gonna use for a few hrs),didn't really like the 20 or so ones that were on sale, she took one look at me and asked what my budget was, i said $100. She said sorry those are the only one's under $100. Really hurt she didn't even bother to show me other sunnies that were on my budget and not on SALE... Got on their website later aaaand HELLO Mink Pink and a few other brands had the styles i wanted and are under $100, why didn't you show me those instead. Don't judge all customers who walks into your shop that looks off and not up to your expectations.

I visited David Jones at Macquarie shopping centre looking for Mother’s Day gift. I was greeted by Kassy who was very cheerful and asked if she can help me with anything. I said to Kassy I was looking for Mother’s Day gift and not sure what to buy? Kassy said (No problems I can definitely help you with that) within a few minutes Kassy found me a beautiful scarf in the accessories area which I was happy with. Then Kassy asked if I needed something else, so I said nice perfume for myself, so Kassy took me to the perfume area and suggested Channel Blue! That was an absolute excellent choice, so I purchased both the scarf and Channel Blue. My shopping experience was outstanding because what Kassy did from start to finish was just perfect. This was truly great customer experience by Kassy, David Jones should be proud to have someone like Kassy looking after their customers. I would give Kassy 5 stars ⭐️ Thank you again Kassy for the outstanding customer service.

DJs at Macquarie is a delight to walk into. The store is well laid out with easy access to each section. Staff are not always available but thats a sign of the times. The BIG mistake DJs & Myer have made is getting rid of the individual representatives of each Cosmetic & Perfumery brand. Chatswood Chase DJs not any better. E. G I walk in to purchase say a Chanel or Christine Dior perfume. Nobody in the vicinity of the stands. A well meaning Sales person strolls over from a totally different organization to assist. Now I've learnt not to ask a question on the product i wish to purchase as 9 times out of 10 they have NO idea. This means i must research the products before I set off. Not like the G.O.Ds! The rep for the Company could tell you everything about all their products. Thats called a Professional not a Stand in. Of course I understand the Stores reasoning.... saves them $$dollars and makes the duty staff work smarter & harder. The way it is

If you want to buy cosmetics on a weekday, don't expect to receive service. I had a product in mind ready for purchase on a recent trip. I went to the counter and there was no staff around. Upon approaching another staff member, I received subpar service. I don't have an issue with someone who is unaware of the product as they represent another cosmetic brand. I do have an issue with their unwillingness to even open up the product shelf so I could purchase my product. If a store is unable to sell a particular cosmetic brand due to no service reps, do not have it available for purchase. The store is open, there are lights on for this brand for sale so the expectation is that I can exchange my money for this product. Sadly, David Jones Macquarie is known for little to no staff available at some departments. I have learned my lesson and will only purchase from the brand directly.

As much as i love DJ, i was very disappointed with my in store experience today in the Elizabeth Arden section. The middle aged Chinese lady spent more than 15 mins talking to her friends, giving them samples and extra free gifts i believe. She went inside to get new gifts sets for them and said it’s reserved for them. She asked me to wait, which was fine, but i waited long enough and when i told her the product i was after, she only showed it on the shelf and directed me to pay. I had to ask for the free gift, which was off the shelves. I felt discriminated for not being treated the same way or at least with respect. She had very poor customer service skills. I get that am not Chinese, but at least have the decency to treat customers with respect, given that i drove all the way to buy the product which was available in that store only.

Wanted to purchase SK II at DJ, however the lack of staff and customer service is ridiculous. Asked a staff for help and she agreed to help after finishing off with another customer, so I waited only to be brushed off and the staff going to help other people. When I waited again for her I asked if they do price match with Sephora next door as they had 20% off, the staff member did not wanted to go through the trouble in looking, searching or had the patient to even wanted to sell anything to me. With her attitude and bad customer service, I went next door to Sephora instead to purchase more products as their staff was much MORE helpful. Note - I wait for more then 30 min to 45 mins. I was very very patient to be only served with terrible and appalling customer service. WHAT HAPPEN TO DAVID JONES.

I was at David Jones with a gift voucher, which expired in the month I was there (December). After the lady at the register told me it was invalid, I was directed to customer service. At customer service, I was told that this supposed gift card was given to me through a promotion. However; I know that is was given to me for Christmas the previous year, as well as having an expiry date for when I could use it by, so clearly not a promotional gift card. After a long wait, I was finally told that there was no record of it and that there was nothing they could do. Waste of my time and of my family’s money. This is also the second time this has happened, I am not impressed with David Jones Gift Voucher services. Please improve this. Have a nice day.

I bought an YSL lipstick in the mq Dj store at about 10am yesterday(20/11/2023). I want to use my birthday voucher when I checkout. The stuff need to scan my membership at first. It may not be scanned because the light of the phone is too dark. The stuff let me to read the numbers of the voucher---Impatiant. I brightened up and asked her to try again. She refused. Because this stuff is relatively old, I have endured her. The most of outrageous thing is that the price of this lipstick is different from online. It is on sale online But she charged me the original price. Did she do it on purpose? Or dose she think I won't see it online? Or your system not update? Either way, your service is disappointing. Especially the makeup area.

After finishing my job at Macquarie Uni, I decided to purchase a perfume from David Jones in MQ shopping center. I chose 2 perfumes without any help. Calling one of the staff, the lady with the short hair at Chanel section came to me. She didn’t present a friendly, welcoming impression at all! She did constantly rolled her eyes after I asked for a sample for the other perfume. She told me we don’t always do that! What exactly? Helping customers? Yeah I can tell! I believe conveying the appearance that the customer’s request is an inconvenience is not the acceptable behavior. Behaviors like this affected the whole experience of customer from your company and the customer is unlikely to come back to you in the future.

  • Em

It's decent. They have a good selection of items, from clothes, to bedding, to food stuffs... Except their clothing size range isn't huge. A lot of the featured brands don't stock past the 30s for men, you'd be hard pressed to even find a 42 for men's pants. One such section manager said that the sizes EXISTED but she just chose not to stock them. I accepted this, and now I choose not to shop here. If you need something like sale bed sheets, this is your place to go. But, if you're a bigger person, like the person I was buying for, this place is not inclusive of your sizes, I can almost guarantee that. Other than that, the layout is fine, it's normally quiet and clean, and the store is easy to navigate.

  • insheerah LUCKI

Elizabeth Arden Rude old asian lady, waited long enough as she was serving her friends apparently. Funny thing that happened, i was really after one item, and saw her giving samples to the other ladies, and bringing the bonus gifts, i asked for one as i was getting the item i was after she said, to which she said “it’s reserved for them”, grab one from the shelf it is the same, the bonus gifts were in the bags, i asked why can’t i have the same? She said i told you it is reserved for them. They bought 2 items and got 3 gifts?! Anyway, i bougt what i had to and left. Very rude and arrogant Asian lady, really poor customer service skills and poort English as well. Sunday 24/5/20 around 3.30 pm.

Have always found David Jones so expensive and over the top! Two girls behind desk, me just after a price. They were both too into whatever they were doing on their phones and computers. Didn't even acknowledge that I was there. One directly in front of me, no eye contact, turned her back on me and walked over to the second girl at the counter and proceeded to chat with her about something not working with their phones and computer. I thought customers came first. I must not have looked rich enough. So I left the store immediately, never to return. Just wanted a price on a kettle. It was 9/07/22 approx. 2pm. They need retraining, unless thats how David Jones train their staff!!!!!

  • Lui Liu

Been shopping at different David Jones for years and clearly this one is the worst! No price match to Myer Sheridan sale! And the worst part is the stuff accusing me trying to ripe DJ off because the product is out of stock at Myer, they wasted 15 mins of my time and got the conclusion of no price match for out of stock item. Went straight to Myer and a nice warm lady brought out the exactly same item I was looking. What a joke! To DJ: im sorry to see your price match policy went so squishy. To that young female stuff: your job is trying to sale, focus on making the customer happy and spend instead of showing your power to let the customer not get what they want.

  • Roz Mery

after i choose all wath i want to by from clothes was on sale in tommy section with mark special price i want to service desk i wait 15 minute after that some of staff said i can't give you with this price!? i ask why it's mark that price? she call here manager..manager answer was ah some one accidentally put that tag on ..!! maybe someone can do accidentally when it's on one item only not on all items marked with special price sorry that is not fair if you don't want to sale don't put special tag on the clothes and it's your mistake as a manager you have to follow what your staff doing and it's not responsible answer from manager for the Tommy section

  • Chrissie O'Neill

I'm an ex shareholder with David Jones. Sold shares when DJ's went very sadly downwards and sold to a South African company. Such a disgrace frankly on too many levels. Not enough staff. Nobody to find. Disinterested staff. Other people from different departments being pulled from their station to attend in a different department to which they know nothing about the product. In the 1980s and 1990s this was the BEST and ONLY Australian department store I would shop and give me thousands of hard earned dollars to because of their tradition, quality and service. Well, that's all just a memory now. DJs is just another department store like MYER.

  • Kitchibi

Went in to have a browse, found a good deal on a gift item. The cashier asked if I wanted to sign up for a David Jones card/membership which I declined, and when I wanted to pay with my credit card asked if it was mine. What? What is the intention behind that question? Are you saying I stole the card? Are you saying I can't afford it? I have no idea what was going through the mind of your staff member, but that was just honestly the rudest and unwelcoming transaction I have had in recent memory. It didn't help their tone felt mocking and condescending. Tell your staff to learn some manners. Steer clear from this store.

  • Yutong Zhou

David Jones sent me the wrong product and I was requesting to do an exchange. Unbelievably the sales at Lancôme refused to do so and claimed the product cannot be exchanged as it was purchased from a bug price. So disappointed with the service and not even received a “sorry”. It seems like everything is my fault and I should be blamed. The beauty manager, again on the same side with her staff of course, refused to do the exchange. Such a “great” experience with David Jones at Macquarie Shopping Center and would definitely encourage all my colleagues and friends avoid these people.

  • Jenny O'Brien

Loads on sale but very dissapointed as they have stopped a lot of the bigger women's sizes fashion labels. The staff were very nice but did not know where the larger women's sizes were situated on the floor, by the time I found some one who knew they explained that they were no longer keeping any of those brands in that store. Why do only sizes 4 to 16 women's labels matter. David Jones use to have the best range of larger sizes in women's clothing but now nothing. I am extremely dissapointed in the Macquarie store. So much for fashion hub. Lol. Get your act together DJs.

  • Richard Johnson

Walked into store and instantly felt calm from the noise and bustle out in the center. Displays were awesome, Impressed with the small appliance department, with all goods neatly positioned and clean. We ended up buying some winter women's clothing for my aunty to use next winter. Even better both items were on massive sale. Shout out to the young lady with l9ng blonde hair who helped us. Another area that we will sure to be back to is bedding. All the beds nicely displayed, and the black carpet clean. A pleasant experience....

  • Geoffrey Stone

There were more staff than customers! The writing is on the wall for the company. Folks are buying on line rather than risking Covid 19. Once educated in the process they won’t go back. Foot traffic will disappear. Macquarie centre was a worry as it was like any other Saturday. No Covid 19 Marshall’s. DJs did have a positive presence. There should be sign in procedures like food outlets. The toilets in DJs are kept clean unlike the centre. Perhaps DJs should put up a big sign advertising this to get more foot traffic.

  • meegan celeste

Oh how much money you have lost from myself and my friends. Went in to buy $$$$ of perfume and gifts, only to be snubbed and ignored repeatedly by your STAFF. Well paid staff to. So we went to Sephora where the staff actually assisted us. You need to step up your customer service or DJs is done. Maybe stop focusing on the politics of so desperately trying to fit in with society’s new norms and focus on the products and services you provide. Because at the end of the day that’s all customers really give a s**t about.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased a coffee machine from David Jones Macquarie and though the machine didn't quite meet my expectations, the excellent service I received from Joshua, the store manager, made all the difference. After using the machine for two weeks, I decided to return it. Joshua professionally handled the return process and seamlessly coordinated a refund with the supplier. True, response from supplier took a bit of time, but it is understandable. Kudos to Joshua for a job well done!

  • Antonius Wibowo

I went together with my partner to look for the serum. We met the black lady who is rude and reply to us by saying we do not have the sample and we closed already with grumpy voice. As we left, she shouted it again to other staff with the same sentence as what she told us. Why she has to mention it again with loud voice. So rude. If she doesnt want to serve us, just don't work there. No need to shout like that.... not recommended store. Unacceptable for us.

  • Sam Sabry

I went today to buy a pair of shoes from David Jones Macquarie Park and a lady served me her name is ana she was a very pleasant person very highly well mannered she was the perfect example of a top customer service and I wanted a shirt a sales man ana took me to him to help me to get the shirt his name manseeb another example of a top customer service he was very professional and very well mannered i was very impressed with both of them very well done.

  • Jamie Derkenne

David Jones has a serious staffing issue. I waited for service for more than 10 minutes at an empty service desk, on which was a memo saying staff should engage with all customers in their area. I am not blaming staff culture for this, the more likely cause is management trying to squeeze profits out of a dead or at least dying business model. DJs should have actively engaged with e-commerce 25 years ago. They didn't, and now they reap the consequences.

  • Joanne de Quintos

Staff in the women's lotion and body care sectio prefer to chat than to serve customers. Staff in the women's shoe section just want to get on with their job and go home rather than being open and accommodating to customers. I got snubbed by 2 staff members today at 5:30pm while trying to get assistance to look at the watches! Well, I am so wrong to think that David Jones is a high end brand with customer service as their top priority!

  • Tina Nguyen

Lovely customer service in women's wear but the ladies at Yves Saint Laurent counter were inexplicably rude. No greetings, no smiles, no service. When there were no colours that we wanted there was no apology and no options they could provide us. Instead, the lady turned away and started talking to another staff. The only time they smiled and laughed was at my poor elderly mother who had dropped her tissues on the floor. Disgusting

  • gabbie hall

had a really bad experience with one of the rude staff in shoe section. her name is 'Sue'. she can not understand English so every time I explained her what I want she served me with something wrong. she is is really rude and act like she is the manager of the section. she just rude to other staff as well. and then when she find out I angry she went to the back and never comeback. I left the place. so disappointed customer service.

A beautiful store. Really well laid out and always neat and clean. Have shopped in this David Jones store many times especially for gifts, clothing, footwear, cosmetics and Christmas shopping. . Have also enjoyed browsing around here for hours with friends on our girlie shopping days out. DJ’s stocks a lovely array of labels available and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, providing excellent customer service.

  • Gabi Preston

Awful, went in to find a suit for a wedding, after searching for 30 minutes no staff wanted to help, (there were limited staff as well) staff were extremely rude & couldn’t be bothered to help. After asking a staff member for assistance the staff member said I don’t work for this department but couldn’t help us get someone who did or was willing to help, leading to us walking out. Disappointing & very unprofessional.

  • A S

David Jones have always courteous friend with quality to maximum. These days with afterpay and Amex 3 months interest free option make it possible to buy quality stuff from David Jones. I bought many suits and other cloths for many occasions and it never let us down. Macquarie Park branch had wonderful staff and the helped us buying our choice. Brands having many options though many customers. Love this experience.

  • Steve S

Your staff needs to be more proactive in helping customers. Today I saw 3-4 staff looking over an issue for a single customer while 2-3 customers are waiting to be served. I don't see how that issue can be solved with more people involved, in the meantime, customers were waiting. I further note the Indian guy that served me was really not polite at all, and my click and collect order was incorrect as well.

  • RIP Bob

Look it's a David Jones, there isn't much a review can really offer. Most things are overpriced, so if youre after say a nice evening wear shirt for a male, a tailor will do you a better deal. However if you're time poor and are fine with trying things on without too much assistance then DJs will do you right. It's "fine". If you want good staff service you might prefer a smaller store in Macquarie centre.

  • Jay Bee

Henry from the vacuum appliance section at the David Jones in Macquaire Centre had provided us with the most amazing and memorable retail experience that we’ve had in a very long time. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable and understanding, which really gave us the confidence in the products that we ended up purchasing. Thank you Henry, will recommend my friends and family and return.

  • Naza J-Potter

I went shopping for foundation today and was helped by a lovely lady in the Clarins department. She taught me so much and I loved talking to her as she helped me find great products. I felt super comfortable and didn’t feel harassed or pushed to buy any products and I love how she told me I could come back anytime to find the perfect shades and products. Very helpful and lovely!

  • Raman Sharma

Worst customer service from politix deparment in david jones the guy and girl think that they own that place with the attitude just doing customer service job at a retail store think again you are in customer service.Managers really need to mointor this people worst service if google had zero i would give zero to you worst ever dont know how to talk and avoid customers.

  • bey H

Was about to buy the ysl perfume today but the two lady in Ysl section DOESNT CARE at all and just looking at me without asking if they can help me. So instead I’m the one who approach them and asked if I can purchase the perfume ,black lady said straightaway and look at me from head to toe . There’s none sold out but I saw couple of boxes in display in cabinet.

  • Gloria King

Worst service I have ever encountered from the "ladies" in the glassware department in particular crystalware this afternoon! Seemed to much work to sell 2 glasses at potential $170 sale... surprising they have a "sales" position in the current climate. Clearing taking about moving display stock and downselling is a more highly regarded talent at DJ's

  • Heibie Wai

I went to the kitchenware department and asked for a product availability, the staff was busy chatting with her colleague and just answered me rudely ‘No no, we don’t have’ without checking. I didn’t even have the chance to finish my sentence and show her the product that I was looking for. Really disappointed about this kind of ‘customer service’.

  • Bev Wowk

Looked everywhere to find someone to help, waited over 10 mins for service. Customer service person couldn’t open the Ted Baker jewellery cabinet, finally after trying all keys & phone call tray was opened!! The person had to try different register to scan and then can’t find a jewellery bag for earrings. Very disappointing service David Jones.

  • Dr Leanne Wall

I had a few hours today to browse in David Jones, Macquarie Centre. I was served by the amazing Chris in the Veronika Maine section. So attentive and super helpful! I will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful shopping experience Chris in a day and age where it is often hard to find service in the first instance. I will be back. Josie :)

  • Michelle O'Shea

Was in the makeup section without makeup on my face and got starred at more than I did at Auburn McDonald's, the women here assume you can't do makeup when to show up without makeu pool on. Honeys, I saw your face and you should probably go back to whatever makeup school you graduated from instead give dirty looks at your PAYING customers. Q

  • Reza Khademlou

I really like this branch because of the friendly staff. I was looking for a particular jacket and there was none in stock so the person helped me to locate that jacket in the nearest area and also offered to deliver that to my home! She could simply say there is not in stock but went one step ahead with helping me to find it.

  • Chris Stav

I don't really go into David Jones Macquarie centre because I can get everything they've got from the stores in the centre. The only time I might go in is for big ticket items/ appliances or buying a gift for my parents. They range clothing for all ages, appliances, beds and Manchester, books, cosmetics, shoes and gifts.

  • Sil Yo

Previously hit and miss with customer service, I had a wonderful experience with WEN in the food electronics section today. He knew his stuff, was quick to help and resolved an issue I had with a food processor that could not be figured out when I went to Sunbeam directly. Thank you for the speedy and thorough service!

  • Chris Dow

While DJ'S remains a high end bricks & mortar retailer, its time I suspect has been. Recently visited needing a gift. While I hoped I could get help, sales staff were either absent or taking to each other. While it may have just been this store, I'll be sticking to independent retailers or online in future....

  • O A

Waiting at the service desk at the men’s shoe section for 10min and finally being served by ‘Sue’ whom emerges from the back room and rushes me because they are closing. Yet hadn’t previously approched me prior to offer any assistance for the 20min I had spent looking at shoes in the men’s shoe department.

  • Ching Chow

bought a hair dryer today, shop is very quiet but staff at cashier service is pretty poor, doesn't stop what's she was doing with no eye contact , no invoice was given, didn't realise until I'm home, not sure how they gonna compete against online shopping with this kind of service, rather just shop online

  • Cameron and Adriana King

David Jones in Macquarie Centre is a great department store for high-end shopping. The store is well-organized and has a wide selection of designer brands. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the in-store services such as personal shopping and beauty services add to the luxurious shopping experience.

  • Lucy Ng

Worst customer service ever!!!! I intended to buy a gift which is Chanel perfume for my friend but experienced horrible service from the cosmetic counter. The old asian lady was so rude and couldn’t give any formal words of advices. Will never buy anything at the David Jones Macquarie Centre.

  • James Chung

They seriously need to get more staff. Staff was very professional and friendly which was great, but to purchase a product that I already knew what I wanted to buy, it took more than 15minutes of waiting to get a help from a free staff member to take take out the product from the storage.

  • Nidhi Sharma

Not friendly staff at women’ beauty floor. The salesperson was rude and actually refused to give the promotional product when eligible saying why does it matter if you do not get the free promotional product. Left me wondering Why is it being promoted in all advts for sale then.

  • G Larkin

Daphne and another lady in mens wear served me for a return. They were lousy, rude and inept. As a fellow retail worker this was really disappointing to see. Perhaps this is a result of poor training, but regardless David jones is extremely lacking in their quality of service.

  • Pamela Mahon

Excellent Service and great one stop for shopping The major problem there are no chairs scattered around the store for disabled customers as my self to have a rest and miss the coffee shop. Please address these two complaints as I do all my shopping at DJ Mcquarie . Thank you

  • Jon Waland

Far too few staff. And apparently prices are no longer required on items. A whole stand of T2 Christmas items. 7 or 8 different products. Not a single price to be see on any item, or the display stand. I guess if you have to ask, you aren't their preferred customer....

David Jones is great but I just wish they'd have enough staff on over the weekends at checkout...I waited 20 mins to get served last Sunday. I was buying quite a lot of clothes, not a little purchase, but just to find a register that was manned was an absolute joke.

  • Pierre Manoukian

No one to be seen beyond the horizon. And even if the staff see you, looking disoriented they flee or pretend not to see you. This has been going on forever ! I spent more than 20 minutes on Friday and today in the men's shirt section. Not a soul on both days !

  • Lori Wilson

A huge thank you to Tracey and the girls at Veronika Maine! You are the best! It's such a joy to find that great service is alive and well. And congratulations David Jones for all of the great people you employ who make your business a success! Love Lori ❤️

I like this store for home shopping. However staff need training! Especially when returning items and making gift receipts. The kids clothing section is awesome big variety. I like the men section especially on sale you will always find something you like

  • Dorene Rozos

I went into David Jones on the weekend looking for a perfume and I was served by a young lady named Vicki. Vicki was fantastic, she helped me with everything I needed and nothing was a problem, she was very polite and helpful, excellent service.

  • i.am.shiran

Pros: Well presented store, staff who knows their stuff, and a good selection of products. Coffee shop makes good coffee. Lift access to L4 carpark is a bonus. Cons: Cakes are dry and not the best. Quite a disappointment for the price you pay.

for the past year this store has just kept going down hill. Need a new store manager and all new staff. Always standing around talking .. that's when you can even find them. Who's in charge to watch the staff to make sure they doing their job?

  • A

Staff was unwelcoming and cold, I was at Myer 20 minutes ago and received a much better service. They spent more time chatting amongst themselves than doing their actual jobs. I get better service going to a McDonalds than what I got today.

  • Kevin Kim

I've been a royal customer of David Jones a life time long. Unlike other David Jones, a male staff working in the counter of men's clothing section at Macquarie Centre are always giving me a bad experience with their rudeness and laziness.

  • shahid rafique

Like any other David Jones, good variety Located within Macquarie shopping centre which is one of the biggest shopping centre in Sydney. Plenty of parking available including disabled parking and wheelchairs access to the centre and shops.

  • Saif Islam

Really sorry to see a great shop in the past now going downhill during my visit no acknowledgement or greetings was received by any of the staff members on the floor. I had a question about an item but hardly found a staff members

  • Steven Krause

The customer service at this store is shocking. I have now had 2 very bad customer service experiences in store at Macquarie Center. The first was with the manager in Men's wear and most recently in the cosmetics department. There is a

  • m d

Unhappy with the customer service in the shoe section , I was served by Lena who was nice at the beginning but then made rude remarks when assisting with footwear and discouraging to wanting to buy what I desired , very firm in tone.

  • Kim D

Walked around an entire floor and couldn't find a staff member to process a sale (didn't even require assistance - I knew exactly what I wanted to buy!). Ended up having someone in a clothing section put through my crockery purchase!

  • Mellissa Quinn

I was looking at a particular kitchen appliance when a staff just pushed in front of me. I would have moved aside happily if asked Politely by the team member. Not really impressed by the lack of manners or poor customer service

  • Davis L

This mall is great for family. Bigw, Woolworths, David Johns, insurance, Glass Wear, ice skating, grocery shops, food Court with KFC and MacDonald etc and many shops selling toys and baby clothes. Parking is 3 hours for free.

  • Jagdeep Singh

Very very very bad service as we couldn’t replace our glasses worth $400 even we have receipt. I work in sales and understand any terms and conditions. One of worst customer service ever . You deserve less than 1 star

  • Behram Mali

Attentive staff but mostly they are low on staff and if you need help it’s hard to locate a staff member who has the knowledge of a particular item location you are looking fir but yeah mostly they would try to help

  • kat ahmed

I felt like this store lacked great customer service mind you there was alot of workers at the time i was there but no one approached to help or to see if im looking for something specific like your ither stores

  • alireza aboufazeli

Poor customer service at the men area. I waited 10 minutes at the cashier, the sales person just left the cashier and ignored other people in the queue! I went to the other cashier and waited in the queue again!

  • Cold eskimo

Amongst many retailers DJs is a handy one stop shop. Has a greater variety than Myer, though the girl who helped me went all the way to Myer to get the size jeans I needed as DJ had sold out. That's service! A+

  • Raj Ray

Went there is buy a Dishwasher during my lunch hour. Found no staff. Left after 10 mins. This was in 2015. Went there again late last year for a microwave. Again no staff. Left. Wonder how this place runs :(

  • Blessy Arul Jeyantha

I would highly recommend this David Jones.. It has a lot of collections & organized & not crowded as well. The Shop assistant Sandra was wonderful & really put herself into finding a great work shoe for me.

  • in hac lacrimarum Vale

Two floors, numerous staff and not one could take the time to say: "good morning" or "may I help you" or (God forbid) "are you being served, Sir?". The two stars are basically because the store was clean!!

  • Matt matthew

Shocking. Went to look for men's shoes. Honestly I thought I was in Payless shoe shop. They were awful and so small range. This is not what I expect from David Jones. Plus hardly any staff around.

  • Pleiades Nebula

Managed to find a couple of helpful lovely people in the shoes section, they have helped me a lot. Escaped, though, when tried to find perfumes, staff is just seriously no good in that section.

  • Ashwitha Jain

This David jones in Macquarie shopping centre is huge. The place is short staffed and very hard to find help and even the counters are empty at times. They have huge collection of hand bags.

  • Churros Locoz

This is a great place to get some great deals, unfortunately some attendants lack customer service skills, specifically in the cosmetic section (Lancome) they really need to up their game.

  • Jun Herrera

Good products and some have reasonable prices but most items are on the high side. Great ambiance and shop layout. If you go for window shopping, for sure you can find something to buy.

  • DAMN Photographic / Dustyn McNichol

Sadly no service despite dealing with numerous team members and no communication. Not what I was expecting. Beautiful products from Stuck On You, M by Melissa shoes, and Rock Your Baby.

  • Eric Flores

So easy to shop. I always find and like what I'm looking for to buy. Lately, I shopped for a walking shoes. Found what I like in no time at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

  • Joy Kawser

Amazing product quality and generous sales offer. Customer service is always top class. Camila and Kimi are very pleasant and helpful. The really make my day! Thank you guys …

  • Soheil Nik Andish

The short bald arab security guard is the most uncivilised and obnoxious person I have ever come across. If losing customers is the goal of management they should promote him.

  • Majid Nooruddin

Good brands and options to choose from, but the place is highly understaffed, good luck finding help, but if you do get hold of a staff, I must admit they were pretty helpful.

  • Kylie Wilson

Amazing service from Mahra at Ysl. I only went in for a mascara, but she was so friendly and professional i ended up leaving with a bag of new products. She knows her stuff!

  • Kevin Chan

Spread over two floors it should meet most of your shopping requirements. You may find fewer premium brands here. All the staple needs of fashion and home can be found here.

  • Mart MAK

Michelle who was in the beauty section is just RUDE and rejected my help. I spent many thousands $$$ in David Jones and she just ruined my day. WEDNESDAY, 5 April 2023.

  • MC Alex

Large store.. So if you looking for something special then this is the place to go.. Enough staff to serve customers compared to other stores. Very helpful staff

  • Gay-Maree Eaton

Always been a David Jones Girl since 1977. From perfumes, women's clothing, men's clothing, shoes, bedroom, kitchenware, food court, Sale goods, lots to find.

  • Vybhavi Gutta

Collection is good. but not many staff around to help you. we waited at the counter for good 10mins before we founf a staff member to process our transaction.

  • jack Yan

Just had an awesome shopping experience with MJ BALE, Nivin has been super helpful and friendly to us. Recommend to anyone who needs a good Tux or work suit.

  • L L

The shopping experience at Dior makeup section is the worst one I have ever experienced in Sydney. Can Dior pls pay a bit attention on your sales training?
