Park
"We had the Paws For A Cause annual event here"
"A large park in Yaletown, Vancouver"
"This park has absolutely the best view of the Yaletown skyline"
"This is a beautiful park in downtown with views of False Creek and Yaletown"
"Beautiful park during cherry blossom season, went here during the cherry blossom festival and saw Japanese traditional dances and art while enjoying the beautiful river view with the city in the background"
We had the Paws For A Cause annual event here. It was awesome! The place is leveled correctly so we did not have to worry about sideway walks. Although the terrain is not at all flat because it's all grass. Usually this place is NO GO FOR DOGS, but just for BCSPCA it was a dog heaven!!!! So the place can be rented out for the right price. Washrooms are awesome, a bit run down but still good. These washrooms are found under the cool looking fountain stairs. Playground is small but still good. It also has a mini trail for people. Some areas are a bit unkept but it's probably because it was also raining. Someone heared there was a dead seagull along the walk. So far it was a good place to hold the events. -1 because they have a Japanese bug that you have to shake off your stuff before leaving. A slight inconvenience but not harmful at all. They just want the bugs to stay in the park.
A large park in Yaletown, Vancouver. The best thing do here is walk on the seawall and enjoy the view or hang out on the grass with a picnic. On the water is a strange looking monument shaped like a rocket with two balls. This stunning downtown park is an intricate mix of active and passive recreation opportunities, all with views of False Creek and Yaletown. Sports courts and playgrounds are sheltered by lush plantings, and a large open lawn is perfect for kite flying, resting in the sunshine, or hosting an outdoor festival. David Lam Park is also home to several intriguing sculptures nestled along the waterfront. This park was named in 1995 for British Columbia Lt. Governor David Lam.
This park has absolutely the best view of the Yaletown skyline. It’s a pretty big park, there’s a playground at either end and lots of green space to play volleyball, set up a BBQ or just laze around. One section by the water has been designation for legal alcohol consumption (whenever that actually happens). There are also washrooms and a decent amount of street parking nearby. The Yaletown Roundhouse sky train station on the Canada line is a two minute walk away, as are numerous bus stops. If you order food to the park, use the Dorothy Lam Children’s Centre as the address. It’s easy for delivery drivers to find. There are lots of restaurants nearby for pickup as well.
This is a beautiful park in downtown with views of False Creek and Yaletown. The lawn is perfect for resting in the sunshine, or hosting an outdoor festival. In 1995, David Lam Park named after the 25th BC Lieutenant Governor David Lam, who was the first Chinese Canadian to be appointed as a vice-regal in Canada. He was known for his charitable efforts, donating millions of dollars and leveraging millions more to support educational institutions and activities in Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States.
Beautiful park during cherry blossom season, went here during the cherry blossom festival and saw Japanese traditional dances and art while enjoying the beautiful river view with the city in the background. If you come to the festival (which is completely free!) there is so much entertainment, with activities for all ages such as Japanese crafts, painting, games, performances throughout the day, authentic food trucks, and of course, beautiful cherry trees lining the park overlooking the river.
Beautiful Park in a beautiful location and wonderfully maintained. It's always clean and well kept and a great place to walk, jog, take the kids or the dog. You can sit and read or have lunch. Great spot! Just watch out for the flocks of Canadian geese!
Playground
There is a playground by the school
Dog-friendliness
It is dog friendly around the main areas of the park but I believe you're not allowed to go in the center field area which is right near the school.
This is one of my favourite place in Vancouver. Everytime after finishing my class I go there and walk and enjoy of sunset beside the sea. But.That is a good place for walking even with ur dogs, running or cycling because of having specific line for cyclists. Spring is awesome and fantastic here. All the cherry blossoms make this park more beautiful than before. There is Starbucks close to park which u can grab ur coffee and enjoy by walking through the park
The park's well-maintained green spaces and walking paths are ideal for leisurely strolls or jogging, while its playground and sports courts cater to families and fitness enthusiasts. The tranquil setting, with its lush lawns and benches, provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Additionally, David Lam Park is a hub for community events, including outdoor concerts and festivals, adding to its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Popular for assorted group sorts, nice jazz festival final weekend venue, kids playground, waterfront, scenic seawall, separated bike route. Good place to enjoy winter fun when rare snowfalls (kids tubing on hill, snowshoeing or xc ski loops). Also a good view of King Tide in December / January.
Picnic area
Quite nice waterfront area for picnics in the summer and during cherry blossom season in April (100 Akebono trees create great display)
We were here for the Latin Festival. Although it's very difficult to park in this area, it's quite easy to access through transit. The park was quite clean, however for this particular festival, they did not look after the porta potties very well. However I think this may not have anything to do with the park himself. Otherwise it was beautifully in case with all the skyscrapers of downtown, at night it was beautiful.
Its a really nice park right downtown Vancouver! Excellent views of the water, as well as nice urban landscape views! The park has nice open spaces, along with benches, a bike lane, basketball courts, a childrens play area among other sports and recreation facilities. The park also has an a mazing sea walk pathway which has magnificent views of the nearby Marina. Definitely a nice way to spend a lazy summer afternoon.
Stunningly beautiful park right beside the water! Lovely walk on the waterside that extends through the Yaletown area with a bike lane available. Lots of green to sit on and relax, have a picnic, or throw a frisbee. Some paid meter street parking nearby and some free 2 hour parking (very limited) as well. Plenty of restaurants around if you’re looking for a bite or coffee.
This beautifully landscaped park, named after Hong Kong-born Canadian politician David Lam, offers an ideal blend of natural beauty and recreational facilities. The expansive green spaces are perfect for picnics and leisurely strolls, while the children's playground and the basketball courts provide excellent opportunities for family fun and sports enthusiasts.
The park gives great nature looks. It has all the amenities like swing, slides, cycling tracks and many more. Plenty of sitting areas to relax.
Playground
Good for children to play or use slides.
Restrooms
Located in one corner. Moderately clean.
Dog-friendliness
Yes you can bring dogs.
Picnic area
Good for picnic.
Basic park on the shore of the False Creek. Well maintained (except for restroom...). There are a few baseball courts too. Good for a quick walk through or morning run. Has large grass areas too in case you want to have a quick picnic. Parking is plentiful and cheap, even free at places. Walking distance to the row of restaurants at Yaletown.
This large park had several dedicated areas for sports such as basketball. Although I went there in the afternoon, many people were exercising on foot or by bicycle. And that there was a beautiful sea in front of this park and there were many swans in that park, many of them were in the water and many others were walking in the park.
This neighbourhood park is an urban oasis. The famous sea wall passes through here, and the park is used for everything from picnics to volleyball. Great to sit and people watch. People picnic and bbq out here too. It’s my local park and is always a pleasure to stroll through. Great place for photos and dog walking.
First time at this park and really enjoying it. Grabbed a smoothie and read my book on the grass. There is a decent amount of free grass space close to the ocean. Great view and atmosphere The only negative is there is quite a bit of goose poo on the grass so it took some effort to dodge that and find a clean spot
This park was one of my favorite places to visit while we were in Vancouver. The perfect style of a park surrounded by amazing views of the both the city and the harbor was breath taking. That plus it was so quiet while we were there for the sunset means I'll have to go here anytime I'm visiting the city.
A really nice park with several playgrounds for parents to drain the wilds endless energy. Gotta watch where you walk though, the bike lane is pretty occupied when the weather is nice. Unfortunately we missed the cherry blossom this year. It is one of the most popular cherry blossom parks in Vancouver.
One of my favourite parks in Vancouver. It has everything, playgrounds, green areas, tennis and basketball court, bathroom, weather trough and a beautiful view with all the sailboats ⛵ and if you are lucky you can see seals too. Perfect place to watch Cherry Blossom season …
Walked along False Creek area when visiting Yaletown Roundhouse. Beautiful green park with kids playground but some urban geese droppings around area. Love that cycling and walking lanes are separate. Aquabus dock nearby park to travel across various downtown dock checkpoints.
Its a descent size of a park and on the seawall of false creek north side between the granville and cambie Bridges . Its got pay parking around , tennis courts, playground, lots of places to sit and open fields and near public transportation and mobi bike share
Wide open spaces, easy access to the seawall paths, lots of parking on street and underground. Good playground near Elsie Roy elementary, this park/school/event site for Jazzfest forms the core of a family neighborhood in a dense urban setting.

Beautiful walk in a great waterfront area. Landscaping is fairly nice and locals frequent this place for its ambience. There’s also public washrooms. Just be careful not to walk on poop.

Good place to walk around Yaletown area. It can get really crowded on a beautiful sunny day. Lots of cute pets strolling around with their family …
Visited the park in the first week of April. The view is just spectacular. There is kids playground, basketball court, and trails for biking or running.
Great place to bring your family when the sun's out. Combine that with a long weekend and everybody and their dog will be out going through that park
Nice, spacious, beautiful spot for sakura viewing. Good kiddie play ground. Though you have to be careful walking in the grass, a lot of geese poop!
Excellent park for kids! Everyday I used to take my grandchildren to David Lam park. They used to love it and had a great time on various swings!
A beautiful and glamorous place to visit on sunny days and during cherry blossom season. Top spot for taking photos with cherry blossom. …

Picturesque views of False Creek and the city skyline. Wonderful park for Jazzfest or similar venues - right in the heart of Yaletown.
Nice place to spend time. Lot of games and field games can be played there and probably even others will join. The vibe is too good
Best during cherry blossom season, enjoyed beautiful moonshine by the water at night. During peak hours parking space is limited.
Nice location for a picnic and strolling with your bike as it has its own bike lines stretched from English Bay until Kitsilano
