I went in for a cleaning since it's been over a year since my last dental visit. What stood out was the quality and education I received from the team. I came in with no issues, but after seeing my x-rays and visit with the dentist it revealed so much - who would of known that you can have a cavity even without feeling any pain , now I am aware of those areas and will try to keep it clean as it can still be reversible says the dentist. I even saw the amount of tartar under my gums, that I hadn't known about as I brush very well , but hey there are some things you can't help right. So i had a cleaning right after and the hyg was so thorough in explaining why I needed to come back for another cleaning, especially after seeing the photos she took of me and my x-rays - it makes total sense. I'd rather have my teeth cleaned properly than to have it rushed all in one appointment. As you can tell by the staff that they really care about you and the quality of their work , they really took the time to educate you about your mouth and that is the highest respect you can get from a service you pay for (well my insurance paid for it, minus the part it didn't cover that I paid myself, but that's just how insurances work right ahha). I would definitely recommend this place if you want top quality work, care, respect and a pleasant dental experience. Thank you Dawson for a pleasant experience (I'm an anxious patient but not this time). Definitely will come back, definitely will recommend to all !

My wife got a root Canal here and was experiencing pain so we went to another dentist and they took x-rays and there was a bubble of infection in the jaw bone due to the root canal was was down to far right into the jaw bone which caused the infection. We had to see a specialist to remove the root canal and have it re-done correctly but first had to get the infection gone and our insurance would not cover the $1086 because the root canal was already done on that tooth we paid them for a service and had to pay a specialist to fix out of pocket. This place does not care about there patients only about the money. Worst dental experience. They also had trouble processing my insurance and cause a huge issue with paying upfront and then my insurance paid them it was a mess . I don’t recommend this dental office .this is definitely a case of medical malpractice.

I had been going there for years with a fantastic hygienist and had nothing but great things to say. She left due to unforeseen circumstances and after that everything went downhill, and steeply. I had my wisdom teeth taken out and they literally forgot to take out one of the teeth. I subsequently had to come back for a second round of surgery. However, that remaining tooth went on to cause problems (not much if any compensation was offered if I remember correctly), and when pulling out said tooth they caused damage to the underlying jaw bone. This lead them to wanting to charge me $5k+ for a repair almost certainly caused by that same operation. I'm now somewhere else and they have done the same operation for a fraction of the price. Perhaps it was just who I had, but I can't recommend this place to anyone.

Couldnt recomend them enough. I have developed terrible dental anxiety over the past few years. I arrived at dawson dental for a filling today, in tears and terrified. However The staff and dentist couldnt have been more understanding. They took their time explaining everything to me and made me feel more comfortable and safe then i ever thought possible at the dentist. I could not be more greatful for these guys today. Cant recomend them enough, these guys truly seem to care. I leave this review for one reason. If these guys can help 1 patient feel better about going to the dentist like how they helped me today, writing this review was well worth it. Beware,these Guys will cheat You specially if You go with Your insurance plan,I was there on November 1st 2023 for My clean up,the Hygienist told Me after starting that She would focus on one side since one session might not be enough,I have never had a clean up with half job done,then She set up an appointment with the Dentist for Xray and consultation even when I don't have any concerns about My Gums/teeth which would cost around $400,I was already charged just under $250 on My plan and I paid part of it out of My pocket,and They want to perform the second cleaning session for another $280,I feel totally ripped off,really bad service,will not go there ever again and will warn Family and Friends,

Had been going here for years until my regular dentist was not available and I was given Dr. Jeff. He seemed to care but he cracked my tooth while either putting in my filling the first time or in repairing it the second time after I was experiencing discomfort. Accidents/the unforseen can happen but he also didn't know what my options were in getting it fixed. The two issues combined make me feel he is a nice person who is, unfortunately for me, just inexperienced or a bad dentist. I had no pain before any of this and now I have a painful cracked tooth for which I need a crown. Of less consequence, their appointment system is also lacking as I've been double booked a few times.

I have always been afraid of the dentist, but I have had nothing but great experiences going to Dawson Dental. All of the staff are welcoming, patient and compassionate to your situation. They take your fears and worries into consideration when treating you. I have had multiple fillings, a cleaning and an extraction done at the Scarborough Dawson Dental office. They are willing to take their time and make sure that you are comfortable and know exactly what is happening. I found this dental office in a time off dire need and I am very grateful for all they have done to quell my fears and anxiety about maintaining my overall oral health.

I've been with Dawson for years, and transferred to this branch over a year ago. Today it remains the only place I will trust with my dental health after all the years of dental anxiety I've had. I had a root canal on a difficult molar done years ago with no follow up crown, and the tooth eventually developed a cavity again. Throughout the entire process of fixing the cavity, fitting a temporary crown, and finally fitting the permanent crown, Dr. Jeffrey and the hygienists were kind and patient, walking me through the whole process. His skills speak for themselves; my temporary crown didn't want to budge, even after 4 weeks!

Staff from the front desk, the hygienist and the dentist were amazing made me feel really comfortable after not seeing a dentist for many many years they did not judge they just made me feel comfortable and helped me smile again. Couldn't ask for a better treatment from the hello soon as you walk in and the smiles made you feel at ease was so pleased with the service that I got that I even booked an appointment for my grandchildren can't wait to see them smile after seeing Irene.

Dr. Gelfand made my husband very comfortable during our visit. Danica, was gentle doing the scan according to my husband and Clare very helpful to me in explaining things. It’s our first time/ visit, a new patient . Dr. Gelfand and his Staffs made my husband very comfortable, happy , less stress and less anxious to go through the process of getting his dental surgery done! I have been going here for awhile. Irene is great at cleaning teeth. She is the only one I will go to. She’s taken a stain that other dentists never could. Dr. Dan did a good job in fixing my chipped tooth. Its looks really good, there isn’t a difference compared to my other teeth. I could also, eat anything without worrying about breaking it. I am in the process of getting Invisalign. They are easy to talk to and great to work with.

All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The dentist and dental hygienist were thorough, explaining everything they were doing. It was a friendly and clean atmosphere. They took me in on short notice due to a concern I was having, even though I was not a prior client. I've been here many times and had extractions done by two different dentists here. The most recent by Dr Jeff. From front staff to hygienists to dentists the staff is friendly polite and compassionate. I'm not a fan of dentists as I've had bad experiences before at other dentists but hands down recommend Dawson dental scarborough. Excellent service and professionalism all around. One of the best dental clinics I have ever been. The service was above and beyond. Five stars PLUS to Dr. Jeff and his assistant Jenika (I hope this is correctly spelled). They went above and beyond in the treatment. All in all, a quiet, confortable environment with professionals exceeding the norm in Customer Service. I truly recommend this place.
