If I could get this place negative stars I would but this will be a long post review. So my elderly father heard about them on the radio claiming to be the best do the best and he asked me to take my mother there for an implant. At the very first appointment my father wanted to know the total price for the implant without using insurance and they gave him a $4000 quote saying that the implant was on special sale price. They wanted to give her an exam which seemed reasonable and all of a sudden she needed like 10 fillings not one week after seeing her regular dentist and him saying everything was fine that all she needed was someone to do an implant because he was qualified for that procedure and my mom didn’t want a bridge. They received the quote and told them that they would be done in about 3 sessions total and that the services had to be paid up front. All services were supposed to include 1 implant, 1 crown, fillings, and 2 nightguards for a total of $4000 out of pocket not using the insurance but after that first appointment this company charged my parents and their insurance, essentially committing fraud and trying to get more money. There’s two locations in SA and both have the most incompetent people working there and seem to never communicate. Between each office calling to set up appointments or not finding her records, removing and replacing temporary crowns causing immense pain to my elderly mother to “losing” the crown or sending us back and forth between locations because one location said the other location had the products to be delivered, wasting our time and gas! They also did NOT call in the medications that my mother needed for excruciating pain they caused her for 4 days after a procedure, I ended up having to call them 5 times in one day to finally get them to call in her medication for pain and antibiotics! We should’ve never returned here but unfortunately they had already charged us money and didn’t want to lose it. They kept telling us services would be provided at appointments but after we drove over an hour each way, when we got there they told us that it was a mistake and they couldn’t do anything nor deliver what we paid for. Ultimately the last straw was when they caused my mother so much pain she came out crying and they gave her nothing after assuring me that they would give her the gas to make her feel better and pain medications. I LOST it after that appointment and refused to go back to such a terrible establishment. Do not go here!! They will rip you off and cause terrible anguish.

Worst scheduling experience. Poor communication for me as most of the staff only speaks Spanish, and I don't. Made an appointment for braces consult for my son, they obtained all of my insurance information only to tell me they wouldn't bill it. None of the staff seems to know what a diagnoses/icd9-10 is, so I couldn't get the information to bill the insurance myself. They called me 2 weeks after our first appointment to say I missed that appointment scheduled a week after. They did not have us scheduled for our upcoming appointment at all, and when I mentioned our appointment time, they said "oh, yeah okay, see you then." I then received 6 other phone calls confirming that appointment for a different day or time with each phone call. The only person who can discuss insurance/cost information is the office manager. I've called 3 times a week for 4 weeks and have never called while she was in the office and have never received a call back. After cancelling all appointments and telling the office I was no longer interested in services, I have received 2 more calls confirming a future appointment for different dates and times, as well as another call telling me I missed an appointment that was never scheduled. I can't even believe how messy this experience has been. Absolutely do not recommend. That office needs serious help. I hope they work it out before too many more poor reviews.

BEFORE LEAVING ASKED Dr for ANTIBIOTICS & PAIN MEDICATION HE SAID I DIDNT NEED IT SINCE I DIDNT HAVE AN INFECTION.I TOLD HIM IVE ALWAYS BEEN GIVEN BOTH WHEN EVER IVE HAD A TOOTH PULLED OUT. HE SAID I SHOULD BE FINE.DAYS LATER MY PAIN GOT WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE I CALLED AND CALLED NO ANSWER BUSY SIGNALS WE DROVE BACK TO OFFICE DR SAID HE WOULD CALL THEM IN. A WEEK PAST BY I KEPT CALLING THEM EVERYDAY BECAUSE THEY THEY NEVER CALLED THEM IN.I FINALLY HAD TO GO TO HOSPITAL I WAS IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN FROM BOTH ABDOMINAL AND MOUTH.. ER DR SAID I HAD AN ULCER FROM TAKING SO MUCH OVER THE COUNTER IBUPROFEN HE SAID ALL THIS WOULD OF BEEN AVOIDED IF I WOULD OF BEEN GIVEN 》》》》 ANTIBIOTICS 《《 I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. I REGRET NOT LOOKING THEM UP ONLINE BUT THE RADIO STATION MADE THEM SEEM AS THE BEST IN SAN ANTONIO. HOPE I CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT NOT GOING HERE.

Pesimo servicio. Estoy actualmente con el tratamiento de braces. No hay personal competente para dicho tratamiento. Solo una persona es la que sabe. Tengo 3 meses sin que me cambien las ligas porque nunca esta la perosna que me atiende. Marcas al número y te dicen que tienes que hablar con la manager de la oficina de west avenue la cual tiene un pésimo servicio. Me arrepiento totalmente de haber firmado un l contrato porque ya lo pague y ahora me sacan cargos adicionales que nunca se me dijo al momento de firmar y me dicen que todo viene en el contrato y lo dicen de mala manera. Son unos ladrones y tienen muy mal servicio. Para nada recomendado. Estoy buscando la manera de cancelar el contrato y se me devuelva parte de mi dinero para tratarme en otro lado, creo que tendré que ir a la corte.

Went in for interview with Katie at 10am. Showed up at 9:30am. Waited until 10:25 and Katie was still not there. Front desk lady said she was “running”late. There was about 20 other people waiting for Katie for an interview, most people walked out. Really unprofessional on Katie’s end to have this many interviews set up and being late. I was looking towards interviewing. But was not going to wait a whole hour and even longer since there was others interviewing. Finally one girl was called up to interview and that’s when I decided to leave since I was on the end of the list to interview, by the time I got to my car the girl was already walking out from being interviewed. It was ridiculous to be waiting there almost an hour.

Please I urge anyone thinking about getting dental work done to NOT COME HERE. I used to work for this clinic and in those 3 months of employment I was made to put braces on CHILDREN and preform cleanings even though I had not been trained to do so. They use everyone that is looking for a job promising them training and certification but then they just over work you and never properly train you. DO NOT get work done here. If the same lady is managing this place (Katie) she will take your money she claims to be putting in the safe and uses it for herself. Never in my years of working have I experienced a more dirty, greedy, selfish, lying dental clinic. I hope future patients see this and think twice.

The worst place ever!! Horrible service but the worst is the Chubby guy in the front counter!! Disgusting! We asked for the price 4 times as we had already got the x-rays and when i said i dont want u guys to start until u tell me how much this will cost the FRONT counter guy comes and says u want the service or not he has alot of infection!! When the Dentist had just said he came just in time cuz their was no infection!!! All they wanted was the $$ HORRIBLE PLACE!!!

Pésimo servicio, fui a cambio de ligas para mi brakes y se me avían caído unos brakes y me dijeron que me iban a cobrar $25 dlr por cada brake , que por que se avía pasado del mes y que nomás tenía un mes de aseguranza, cosa que yo no sabia y me dijieron pos hay esta en el contrato. Y dure como 3 horas en lo que me pasaron y luego hay a dentro , y también ya me los estaban poniendo los de abajo que se me avían caído ya llevaban como 4 y me los quitaron se pasan .

When contacted by Fox news they used the excuse of the contract instead of giving back this elderly man his savings. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT AND DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR DENTAL NEEDS. THEY ARE THEIVES!! Anyone who has been ripped off or caused physical harm, contact the Attorney General's office and start an investigation.

I would give this place a -5 if I could. Constant canceling of appointments. Several times, we have shown up to find out that they don’t have the material to fix my daughter’s braces, but they did not inform us beforehand. Today, they scammed my teen by charging her double what I was quoted for a cleaning. Considering filing a complaint against this place. Run away from this place! Please heed these bad reviews and save yourself the frustration and money.

If I could give a place negative stars I would. This was the worst experience I ever had as a patient of a dental clinic. They tried to put dirty rusty tools in my mouth and all for nothing. I went for my clear aligners and after making my payment i was told I was no longer in the system. All this place wants is money. They do NOT care about the people they see. Majority, if not all, of the people who come here leave unsatisfied and very upset.

Scammers, they will charge you for stuff you don’t need. Katie is very pushy and rude when she explains any process that needs to be done in order to get your money. If you are not paying what she wants she is very rude and not understanding. Definitely choose a different dentist if you want to get treated right. Also, they don’t take that many insurances and if they do, Katie tries to say they don’t in order to get the customer to pay in full.

Very incompetent place. They were trying to charge me a deductible for an EXAM which my insurance covers 100%. I asked to speak to the claims person (I work in medical claims myself) and they said she’s out of town so the Manager is telling her what to charge. The manager is clearly incompetent too. Also, if you’re black… don’t go here !!! Find a black dentist.

My daughter got her braces here and although she is a teenager I have no trouble bringing her to her appointments . She loves the staff and says that they are gentle and very nice to her . She did not want braces but now that the staff is great and she can see the actual results working she loves them and is always talking about how great her dentist is.

It’s to bad I can’t rate a 0 everything you’ve read about this place is accurate they charge my card 5000 dollars from care credit without doing any work they are a scam artist be careful do not apply for credit there cause they will charge your card look at the reviews plenty of people have gotten scammed for thousand no one will call you back

I will never recommend this place to no one. Very poor customer service very rude and mostly everybody speak Spanish only I went to this dental place because of a ad on the radio for braces and it’s fake advertising and the manager was very rude. Thank God that I didn’t put no money down or gave my insurance information.

Dental Republic will set up a dental plan and charge up care credit for thousands. They will keep the money even if you don't want them to work on you. They where in the news already for stealing money and I know someone who lost thousands. They should be shut down. Stay away.

Was told a certain price for service I needed.. completely changed at the office.. they got all my private info .. worried about identity theft.. they ask for to much info for an exam.. will be checking for identity theft constantly..

went and got my braces done here and everything was done neatly and organized took about 40 minutes and I come every month for my monthly appointments and always in and out, would definitely recommend to get your braces here

Great service. The office is nice and clean, and the staff is professional. I was a little nervous, but the doctor who saw me did an excellent job. Prices are reasonable. I´ll definitely recommend this place!

This place is horrible at putting braces. The braces keep falling off they're the same in both their offices. They also take hours to put on one single bracket. Dont come here not worth it.

Had a great experience at this clinic. I was nervous before going in but Katie was extremely helpful with explaining all the treatment i needed and made sure i had a pleasant visit.
