BE WARNED: LONG BUT HONEST REVIEW! I have been looking to do dental implants for over 10 years now but was so scared about A SCREW BEING DRILLED TO MY GUMS!!! I'm over sensitive to pain and heal quite slow( & of course prices in the US are quite discouraging/limiting) I did some Google search and came accross this office and many others in different parts of the world. What made this one stand out was how easy it was to get realistic prices for the job I needed without them trying to oversell which allowed me to work with a budget from day one. Every single time a question popped in my head, I texted or called their WhatsApp number and everything flowed organically and in an incredible human approach..They send a private driver to pick you up and drive you to/from appointments which added an extra layer of piece of mind. Once there, I was still hesitant about DRILLING MY GUMS and told the doctors but their confidence and the time they took made me relax a little and it has now been a week since my procedure and I have NOT felt any significant pain..it's unbelievable! Dr. Alejandro even suggested an 8D playlist to listen to while he worked on my teeth which made me feel more at ease. I have been to dentists around the world with all sort of problems and this has been the only ones to work through my fears and my pain. I did some additional work which my insurance in the US covers but I 100% preferred to pay them to do it. My only pain came from a gum reduction they did to uncover a massive cavity and once I got back home I called them about it and the doctor herself called me back through video to show me how to care for the inflammation. I loaded up on pain medication while in Colombia since I would need prescriptions here . Dr. Paola did many fillings on me without the need for anestesia..never possible before; her hands are Godsend! Takeways and tips: A week vacay for my family of 4 plus dental implants came out waaaay cheaper than doing just the dental work in the US. Try to get the pain medication somewhere else not around the office since the area is touristic so they charge A LOT more. Eat that delicious Colombian food BEFORE the appointments (They're working with time restrictions so you might get mayor work done the same day you meet them) I messed up my gums eating so much after they worked on my teeth . Cons: they didn't put goggles on me I'm going back in February for some more work

So Dr. Johana Ossa was great. Speaks English, has some funny expressions.. "Lets get the party started" very funny.. Had a lot of work to do, 11 cavities and a crown..+ laser whiting..of note:Location issue ...Buzzer to get up stairs is a bit hidden behind security grate..Poke round you will see it..Buzz in up ya go..Nice waiting room friendly people at the desk. Few things to note..x.rays are not done in office, like maybe your used to in the states..You have to go to another location. but easy and there good at there job.. I think that is all they do..so real pros. The good D.r was able to get me in and work under a compressed schedule..I only had about 5 days to do everything ..She did it with a day to spare and I messed up one appointment by coming in an hour late=( I'm not sure I understood the time right... my mistake..but they worked on me and just kept reminding me of the next appointment..Very kind considering. Work was done fast looked good and I am happy .Price was good much cheaper then anything in the states..They do not use as much anesthetic, my fillings were small but if pain is not something you can grin past ask for the shoot..they will be happy to help ya out.. i Really think its good place to go.. Wishing you good teeth..1 more thing If you get teeth whitened, use that tooth paste for sensitivity.. before and after... like chewing battery's very uncomfortable..No pain no gain another funny expression she says=)

The best thing I ever did was go to Colombia to have my dental work done. I received a fixed full horseshoe bridge attached to 5 implants on the top of my mouth and two implants on the bottom with a snap on. Everything was perfect. The only regret I have is not discovering Colombian dentist 25 years ago. Youtube opened my eyes. Don’t worry about safety colombia is absolutely safe. I’ve spent months there walking day and night and never had a problem. I’ve met hundreds of people in Colombia it is filled with super kind, caring hard working family oriented people who are just trying to survive like everyone else on earth. You will not regret having your dental work done in Colombia not only will you save a bunch of money but you’ll experience a fascinating culture with fascinating people and extremely affordable dentist and great restaurants. Laureles is a neighborhood located close to the dentist office you won’t even feel like you’re in another country when you’re in Laureles it actually feels like a suburb outside of New York City like a mini Brooklyn. Thanks to the Colombian dentist my quality of life has improved for the 2nd half of my life. my experience was truly incredible

Hello. I went to Doctor Johana for two molar implants and a molar crown that had come off years ago. I thought I would need three implants however Doctor Johana said she thought the molar could be saved and only two implants and a replacement crown would work. The costs of a crown compared to an implant is a good bit less. Doctor Johana is honest and caring. It took approximately six months and several visits for the final procedure. I paid for each visit as I went with a price guarantee for the next visit. The implants start with the posts that have to heal before the implants can be done. I had multiple cleanings and visits during the six month procedure. I never had to wait in the office. The communication was easy. The implants are working great. Doctor Johana and her staff are tremendous. I would recommend to anyone that needs dental work. The price is so much better than in the USA, Canada or Europe.

For the longest, I've always wanted to improve my smile with a combination of teeth whitening and other elective options. Months ago, I've booked my holiday solely for relaxation and learning more about Colombian and African culture within South America. A few days prior to my arrival, I reached out to Dental Tourism via Social Media. You've read correctly, Instagram to be exact. Dr. Oliver was very responsive within hours. As soon as I landed on 11/2/2019 and went through immigration, I took a taxi to his office in Cartagena (luggage and all, up a flight of stairs). The first of three laser whitening sessions commenced. A final session occured in Medellin. After the first session was completed, the results were beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend Dr. Oliver and his awesome staff! Very safe and friendly.

I recently visited this office for a deep clean, whitening, and some other dental work. I felt so cared for by the team, from the moment I reached out over What's App to schedule an appointment, to having my appointment in their office. They were attentive, and i could tell they are all passionate about their work. They are also extremely good at what they do. The energy in this place is positive...there is something special this team is doing. I would come back in a heartbeat, and I recommend this office to anyone in Medellin (and traveling from abroad) looking for dental work.

Well this was a very pleasant experience for me minus of course all of the poking and prodding. That is to be expected. From start to finish, I was treated with respect and appreciation and courtesy. Everything was taken care of. They pick me up from the airport and they drove me to the airport and the whole experience was as lovely as dental work could ever be. I had a great experience with Dr. Johana and her friendly, knowledgeable and patient team. I was well taken care and all of my options and treatments were explained clearly in both Spanish and English when needed. It was also good to see the team taking extra health and safety measure in light of the pandemic. I would highly recommend the services of Dental Tourism Colombia!

The entire team was very friendly and helpful. If you are an English speaker you will have no problem communicating with the team or dentist. My dentist was well spoken and very polite. I came in for a deep cleaning and the laser teeth whitening. All in all I am very happy with their services and I will be returning for regular cleanings during the rest of my stay.

Dr. Paula was incredible. I’ve had tea and coffee stains on my lower teeth for several years- even after having regular 6 month cleaning the stains remained. In a basic cleaning, Dr. Paula was able to remove the stains without pain or harm to my natural teeth. So thankful for her care. The reception was kind and patient, and the office was clean.

I went to Dr. Johana for major dental work and I can’t say enough how professional and personable she and her entire staff were. They really made me feel welcome. Fantastic Experience. Great communication and the price was unbelievable. I had bonding done in the states 20 years ago and it was beginning to yellow. Dr. Ossa not only fixed the bonding issue, she crafted the smile to look perfect, better than any dentist in the states could do for 1/10 of the price. Highly recommended.

Looking for a dentist in Colombia and shocked to see Dr Johana Ossa charging in USD and not COP. If I wanted to pay in dollars I would have stayed in the states. Way to expensive compared to others in Medellin.
