Dr Hiler is great and the nurse I saw today. The staff has an communication issue. I see in other post the staff is great. They are not rude just blah and short. Which is ok but when your sick sympathy not there. I went in at 11:20 seen by the Dr needed blood work. I was told to come back at 2. I was in a minor car accident and called Dr office to request the best time to come in for blood work today or tomorrow. I arrived at 2:45. I was told if I come in before 3:30 she can draw my blood today. I had to Uber due to car accident. I spoke to the receptionist and she stated phlebotomist wasn’t taking patients for the day so of course I explain to the receptionist I called earlier to ensure I would be seen today so I would not waste money and time. So I wait and a man enters a half hour later requesting blood work. The receptionist states the same she is not taking patients. The man starts to argue with her. The man stated he was told if he was here before 3:30 he can get his blood drawn. So I was here a half hour before him and guess what yep he went before then another and another. The Dr may be great and my nurse from earlier in the day was amazing very upbeat sorry forgot her name black hair glasses Latina women thank you. I have NEVER had this issue at any other Dr office. It is 3:53 my appointment was at 11:20. If the staff can not communicate. My confidence with my health facility is in question. I am really sick with occasional vomiting with nausea and abdominal pain and waiting and waiting. I had to vomit in the waste container outside the office due to the public restroom being locked. What a struggle to find a good Dr and staff. Here I wait 4:15 still waiting in misery and possibly exposing myself to COVID. Which if I become infected it’s a good possibility of death due to multiple pre-existing conditions. May be time for a new Dr office. Update I was approached by Sonora employee stating I have to come back tomorrow. Well of course this upset me a great deal. I explained my situation and nothing so I left came back asked for the office manager she had stated nothing she can do because Sonora is control of their employees. If communication fails you are responsible for the office or am Is my logic wrong. So as you can see she isn’t much of a manager if she isn’t in control of her office. I called Sonora’s number given to me. No answer or reply in two days must of been the email I sent to Sonora’s corporate office. Stating she look into and I will have a response as soon as possible. Then the Sonora manager called be stated they were really busy. No excuse for wasting my money and time. I called the office manager no response waited one found another Dr Kidney stones as I sit in pain. I had to go to ER to get diagnosed and treated. It’s two weeks later waiting see a Dr to get a referral to urologist. If we have to pay when we miss a a Dr appointment well it should be the same. At least transportation cost. Health Care is a joke.

TL;DR version: This clinic doesn’t care about the way patients are treated or cared for, and avoid being a patient here if you can find any other options. Long version: My father has been willing to (grudgingly) stay with Desert Bloom as a patient in the aftermath of losing his doctor last year (Dr. Chorney, who left to go to another practice/organization), and since then, the services here have gone severely downhill for him, precipitously and depressingly for the worse. This has culminated in him meeting with a “Dr. Hiler”, who has blatantly lied, mislead, and shirked his own duties to a 69 year old patient in need of very basic services and who has very fair and reasonable expectations. Upon first meeting with Hiler, he was told that a very badly needed testosterone therapy prescription would be written the same day. Subsequently days go by with no prescription available, and lo and behold, no prescription was ever written or released by Hiler. My Dad had to go through a gauntlet of Desert Bloom employees who all continuously also shirked their duties and transferred him to various unknown people’s voicemails (including, presumably, Dr. Hiler’s), until eventually a week later he was randomly lucky to have the prescription sent and made available because some Desert Bloom “employee” was at least minimally capable of doing their job. Now here a week later, and after my dad was told plainly that “another appointment has been made” for the next visit (having still enough trust and faith to give this entirely sub-standard and clearly careless “doctors” office a second chance), does a follow-up today to make sure about this supposed “appointment”; and nothing has been recorded or made. These are tell-tale signs to me of an acute rotting of the healthcare system, and if I could rate Desert Bloom (and Dr. Hiler, as a direct extension) with a zero star rating, surely I would. If anyone with any authority or care for other human beings reads this, take care to avoid attending this “clinic” if you can at all help yourself in doing so.

I’ve been At this location for many years because it’s a convenience to me it’s close to my home and close to my employment however for the past months i’ve had nothing but bad experiences first of all when you try to contact your doctor it takes weeks for them to return your call. You have an appointment they called you to do a phone call because the doctor is not available OK you take the phone call even though I was so sick that I needed to see the doctor I took a chance and took the phone call I needed a referral And I was told that I needed to see my doctor when previous months she just gave me a referral Without seeing her today I had an appointment Yes it was my fault I was late 15 minutes due to an accident I was told that my doctor couldn’t see me when every single time that I’ve been here I Have to wait 45 to an hour to be seen and today my doctor couldn’t see me or I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to be seen by another doctor this is not Acceptable literally the lobby had two patients

This has been the worst experience I have had at a Doctors office!!! I waited almost a month for my first appointment 2 days before my appointment I get a call that someone scheduled me wrong and that they need to move my appointment 2 days out at an earlier time or until December!!! So I take the 2 days out appointment that was suppose to be at 2:45pm I leave work early and I get to the office at 2:30 (plenty of time for paperwork) where I encounter the older receptionist that is very rude and not helpful. Second receptionist hears what's going on and is willing to have me move to her window, very nice and helpful girl not her fault this office sucks!!! So I fill all the paper work out and its been over and hour and a half and I am still waiting...due to some double booking error on their end no way to treat a first time patient. I WILL NEVER ENCORAGE ANYONE TO COME HERE!!!!! I WONT BE BACK!!! Its now 4:03pm and I am still waiting.

Worst place ever. I was told I needed to get an ultrasound & blood work done for my thyroid & they never called me back to say they got the results. They said I needed to schedule another appointment to speak to the doctor about the results. I asked if she could just tell me over the phone to save me time from leaving work early for the 4th time this month which is hard when I barely even make enough due to covid but they said no. They had me scheduled for an appointment on the 14th which I had actually cancelled the same day they set it 3 weeks ago but I guess they never did. There could be something seriously wrong with my thyroid & they wait until I call back to schedule an appointment instead of calling me to say what needs to be done. Just for me to leave work early & have Dr. Olibarria tell me “we’re going to lower your dosage” which takes 5 minutes to tell me. All these appointments just so they can make more money.

The staff and service of this doctor's office is excellent! They are patient, kind and go above and beyond to help take care of their patients. The reason most people dread going the doctor is because of the how long you wait in the freezing, dated and dirty waiting room... not here! You can tell they are always trying to upgrade, sanitize and overall make your visit, easy and seamless. I have been seeing Dr Hiler and his staff for the last 10+ years and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I live on the other side of town [roughly about 25 miles away] and I travel specifically because of the quality of service and professionalism. If you are looking for a primary care physician, this is the place to be! Thank you Dr Hiler, Monika, Sandra and your team for being wonderful, keep up the good work!

I've had good experiences so far everyone is polite and helpful the Dr. Himself and Tammy the NP are kind with great bedside manner they take the time to listen and explain things to be easy to understand, however....I just couldn't give 5 stars because the wait is always very long my most recent visit I waited 20 past my appointment time in the lobby and then an hour and 30min on top of that in the exam room, so by the time I was seen I had waited almost 2 hours past my org appointed time....I mean I love the NP I see but the wait is way, WAY, way too long...

HORRIBLE SERVICE, I have left messages for the Dr. assistant and never get a call back. My father had an appointment and was prescribed medication well the Pharmacy and my self have been calling and just got prompt to leave a voice mail but no one is calling back. The appointment was on the 13th of Sep. it is now the 27th of Sep and still can’t get a call back or any one on the phone to help. Patients need meds but what is the point of this clinic if issues with the prescription can not be addressed. DO NOT COME HERE so disappointed.

OK experience. I was given the wrong location and ended up being late for my appointment as the Dr didnt go to that location on Fridays. The office is in a sketchy older retail strip. Lots of homeless people. I went in as a new patient at 915am for a Blood Pressure medications prescription. It took 3 calls until 4pm (I was the last called answered before closing for the day) to get the medication sent to my pharmacy and that's after I had to be rude on the last call. I will not be going back to this place.

I called Friday night and the answering service told me that this medical office will be open at 8am-5pm so I drive to the Indian School location and the doors were locked and no sign posted about any changes in the office hours. So I drive to the Thomas location and to my surprise also closed and no sign posted. I calle again and the answering service told me that they have no idea why the office is closed. So frustrating DO NOT COME TO THESE OFFICES, FIND OTHER DOCTORS. Unprofessional

I have been with them for many years, over 10 years to be somewhat exact. Caren has been the best doctor that I have had and we have a great connection that I know I can trust her with anything relating to my health. If you are looking for a doctor this is the place. The staff is amazing and they have a lab there Simon Med. Even she is great and gentle. The referal department is also wonderful. They get you where you need to be and fast. I have been going to desert bloom for like 20 years starting with the office in Avondale been at the 43rd for a bout 10 years and have seen Karen most of them years she was a amazing person inside and out and will truly be missed now I am in the hands of beautiful and sweet caring Margaret I have even seen Dr Hiker a few times very caring friendly doctor.Over all I have never been mistreated or mislead at Desert Blloom I will continue to go until the sweet lord calls me home.

I was a first time patient and everyone made me feel welcomed. Dr Kennedy was a quiet doctor but I appreciated his knowledge and ability to make the appointment unstressful. One of my main complaints is anxiety and nervousness. I was treated quickly and professionally. My next appointment is in the middle of September and my only anxious feelings are concerning the taxi ride I must take to get there. Betti Hollingsworth

I love this place, yes it takes a min to be seen at the urgent care if you go during the cold season but i went today in and out in 30 min...maybe 45. Every Dr so far is friendly knowledgeable and professional. They also have a family practice so it does seem like people go ahead of you but they probably had an appointment with another Dr. I've asked around and every review on the doctors here have been positive.

Desert Bloom Family Medicine has the best family practitioner. My daughter and I have been going to see CHRISTOPHER HILER, MD for 21 yrs. He remained our primary care doc even when we left Arizona for a few yrs. I would recommend him to anyone I know. His staff is friendly and helpful. Very unprofessional place. You leave messages they don't return phone calls. You call them and they put you on hold for more then 10 minutes. Transfer your call, get an answer machine and never get a call back. They change your pcp without telling you anything or at least notify they are no longer in practice with them. Every time you go you see new faces. Don't recommend the place.

If you are no longer an urgent care facility you need to change the name of your facility. I paid for a lyft to pick my son up from school and paid to bring him to this facility only to find out that your urgent care is permanently closed. Specify that you no longer have an urgent care so that others may not waste money and time. I'm super pissed.

My regular doctor is no longer there, she was amazing , she took the time to listen to me, and doctor like that are hard to find!! but anyway I made an appointment I was worry who was going to see me, I was wondering if she was going to take the time n listen to me and she did, Noemi Pimentel is aamazing, she cares n listen to her patience

I been going to this office for over fifteen years doctors are great but not front staff and front manager is rude. Call to be see without an appointment girl over phone tells me to go in as walk in I get there and there no walking allowed talk to manager and give some excuse of how provided are booked like really train your personnel.

They don’t follow up with people and send you fake bills. I have tried to contact them regarding statements they sent me and they completely avoid me. The management is horrible and speaks horribly about all patients. I would know, since I worked there and constantly heard Annette speaking badly on patients. Do not trust these people

I had a really bad clogged ear. I called and they said they accepted walk-ins during a certain time so I showed up and they got me in to the doctor in about 30 minutes. The staff was nice and the doctor was fun. She was very communicative in what was going on. They irrigated my ear out and now I feel great!!

I have been a patient for two, going on three years. When selecting my insurance plan the past two years I have verified that Dr. Kennedy is in-network. I do this because Dr. Kennedy & his staff are excellent! They are extremely helpful and courteous. They truly want their patients healthy and happy.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable physicians. Also very quicl.response for referrals etc. I was born with spina bifida and to find a dr that will actually help with chronic issues is hard with medicine and society the way it is today and they do the best that laws will allow.

Its the first time in years that i have had a doctor treat me with compasion, dr.Kennedy is very wonderful, he actually listens to what i say to him . I feel safe and understood and his male nurse is amazing i just cant remember his name. It is like an extended family

After having gone through being told I had a heart murmur that turned out to be a hiatal hernia and 3 courses of antibiotics for a bladder infection for which had. I not asked for a follow up,each time, would not have been fully taken care of. I won't be back.

Services are good. Dr Hiler spent time going over my wellness checkup. I don’t like is that this office doesn’t except my supplemental insurance so I have to pay the difference out of pocket What Medicare part B doesn’t cover. Probably have to change doctor.

Was seen quickly after my arrival. Even though the Wellness visit was long Naeomi (not sure of spelling) did not make me wait in the exam room long in between tests. She was informative and made me at feel at ease.

I left them because the site is old and depressing. The wait is too long and I did not feel that all of my needs were important to them. Only one phlebotomist and she was on a two hour lunch.
