A month ago I came to buy a few pairs of shoes. One pair a plain white tennis shoe. I purchase a Vionic brand on whites and a couple of pumps for work. Today after 3 wears of my tennis shoes I noticed that all the side of the sole was coming apart! This was a $120 pair of tennis shoes, not a cheap pair. I went home to change and took the pair of tennis shoes and receipt to the store and show them what happened. The called a manager and he didn’t even look at me while the other attendant was explaining my case. He stared by saying “well they are used” and of course I said “yes, that’s was my intention when I bought them, to use them, but it has to be a defect that a $120 shoes comes apart after a month and three times use” he told me that there was nothing he can do without a box or been used, even with the receipt. I told him I didn’t want a refund only a replacement. He keep saying that was normal wear and tear and all shoes will do that, regardless of the price. Even the cashier insisted on telling him that I didn’t want a refund and that I also had my receipt but he kept ignoring her and dismissing me. He was not even emphatic about it. No backing up the brands he sells or even trying to help. He told me he can only take back a shoe that he can resell again and there was nothing he can do about it. “Buy another brand” he said!!!.. very disappointing and upset about paying for good shoes when they are really not. But more upset with the manager’s attitude and dismissive response. I usually buy all my shoes and perfumes form there . No more.

Went to the Men's store to get a blue blazer. Had to wait to find someone who would help. After letting them know I did not want to spend a lot of money, was shown the jackets. When I tried on the first I was told the price, and it was in my range. The salesman them had me try on the other two. I assumed they were there same price or in the same range. I chose the second jacket I tried on. Then I asked for a pair of grey slacks, and told him the price range. The salesman them became uninterested in helping. We were interrupted a number of times by a couple of customers and a few calls on his cell phone. After 20 minutes, I was done with his lack of effort and told him I would just take the jacket. When he rang it up my jaw dropped. He had shown me s jacket that was nearly 2.5 times more expensive than the original one I tried on, no where near the price range I have him. Needless to say I did not purchase anything, and my family will not shop at Dillard's again. For anyone who makes it through this note, I ended up going to Men's Warehouse and had great service, them went to Macy's and had great service and found wonderful selections to purchase

Liz from ladies handbags department is the most impressive customer service representative at this Dillard's and most likely the best at any retail store I visited this Christmas. Liz approached me while I was in the jewelry department and asked if I needed any assistance. She was professional and very kind to me. She answered a couple of my questions and told me she'd be back to check on me. About 20 minutes later, she came back and set some items aside for me to purchase. She was attentive without being pushy. She gave me space to browse and didn't hover over me. Liz demonstrated appreciation for me as a valued customer. She was helping customers in handbags and jewelry. She never forgot about me in jewelry. When I made my purchase, Liz offered another employee the opportunity to complete the sale, but in the end, she handled it herself. The other employee said they were out of small boxes, but Liz searched and managed to find where the boxes were stored. I hope management will use this review to recognize Liz as a top-notch customer service employee who represents Dillard's in a spectacular manner.

Just had horrible experience at Dillards Willowbrook location. Just waste of time shopping at this location with poor enthusiasm. Asked a sales associate in cologne section to hold 2 items and she never asked my name. I actually had to advise her of my name to hold it under. Keep in mind she been playing on her cell phone entire time I was shopping in there. Come to location to pick up items and nothin was on hold. I contacted Rose the store manager, which was another waste of time she became so combative and sounding like a script reading me policy and procedures. I asked her to go play her cameras so she can see what happened. No customer service skills at all. It’s very uncomfortable shopping at this location and the store manager Rose is a reflection of her staff , so after speaking to her I totally understand why the staff treat customers the way they do. I refuse to spend another dime at this location. I will drive across town to another location .

I am very disappointed in Dillard's. I purchased a dress (xl) and shoes on clearance. I was shopping for my fiancés party. Ended up not being able to FIT the dress, I put it in my car to bring to Dillard's. Between physical therapy, work, taking care of my house, kids, dogs and all other things, there was no real time to bring it back in 3 days. I brought it the following Monday, and now, they don't except 3 day returns. I understand policies, but I feel as a patron, if truthfully I'm not able to make it with the policy but the merchandise is sound condition and selling, why all of a sudden, I have to keep it. My Solution, I would like to exchange out my dress and shoes for a store credit or difference. It's incredible what certain companies will do for their customers. Dillard's doesn't care about the person, only the return policy date.

The perfume counter women are all rude. Some lady (foreigner) accused me and my mom of stealing perfume a few years back. She eventually found it behind the counter. If we are stealing something why would we be there in your face, we would have left?!! It was some Middle Eastern looking lady. Then today 04/21/23 I returned some perfume that I never used. $150 Jimmu choo, and the rude lady at the county had to ask her manager can I return it because the box was torn due to it being gift wrapped. When I unwrapped it, some of the paper was removed. But why is she that silly to have to go ask her manager! I will never buy perfume from this place again. I will make the drive to the galleria or macys! And most of the perfume counter ladies do not speak good English. Ughhh. Always rude foreigners. ! Take your money elsewhere !

Dillard’s has some of the best quality in terms of name brands which is what you would expect. However, the normal sale prices are high especially because of online businesses and outlets which compete with them. Since the retailpocalypse, the malls have become almost like a ghost town. This store has seen better days in terms of upkeep, cleanliness, and customer service. Especially, the customer service has declined significantly over the past few years. Finding someone who can be identified as an employee is often a challenge. Why they don’t wear conspicuous name badges is a mystery to me. However, when they have sales, the prices are pretty amazing. That makes this place a strong 4 star because of the deals and quality of merchandise. Be on the lookout and never pay full price to shop here. Just my two cents.

Went to get my little sister a homecoming dress that she saved up for. Found the one she wanted and when paying for it realized there was a quarter sized hole so asked if there was any more dresses like that. They told us no so we asked if we could get some kind of discount for it and they were rude about saying no. They refused to help us out and we're not what you would expect from an employee of a nice place. My little sister ended up having to pay almost $100 for the dress she fell in love with for her first homecoming and it has a hole in it...and now can't afford to have it fixed. Long story short I think I'd rather go to Kohl's. I would not recommend anyone to go here if they are looking for a nice dress and employees to help. Never had an experience like this from dillards.

On 12/26/2021 I experienced the worst customer service in my life. After spending $500 here you'd expect for the staff to at least be courteous. The older lady at James Avery was in a rush and not very helpful when we had a simple question about the product. We instead reached out to another James Avery branch. Afterwards we were browsing in the Polo department and the older gentlemen in a suit was extremely rude. He came over to my husband & i and instead of asking if we needed assistance he told us not to mess up his mannequin. He kept watching us and I felt discriminated against and uncomfortable. I'm highly upset about the situation and would like for someone to reach out to me in regards to this concern.

The Dillards is over all a nice place even tho they could be staff a tad bit better, but the MAC on the other hand is god awful . The employees were so rude and seemed like they were to good to help. They greeted me when I walked in to the MAC corner, but when i actually need help with a lip liner and lip stick and wanted to test it....it took maybe 10 minutes for me to get the attention of a young lady to help me and when I did get her attention she was in a rush and rudely said is that all you need and walked away. I love the product but the service is the worst. Also is it me or does it seems like all of their make up is on EXTRA thick like its caked on, which is not really a selling point for me.

I enjoyed the customers services aspect as I had went to Jc penny's right before and had no help, shelves were disorganized and stressful. The sales floor lady was very helpful at Dillards. She greeted us right away and asked if we needed help. Being ill and not able take a long time in the store I described my item and she took me over to the department, helped me choose then correct size, showed me to hear dressing rooms so she could go get another size if needed, checked on me, as well as rung me up. I wish they had in-store coupons, so you would rather go to the store and deal with their amazing customer service people. But I will gladly go back to deal with such a helpful person!

2 stars thanks to the friendly first floor staff, especially attentive shoe/cosmetic departments. However, expect to be limited to the first floor if you’re not able to utilize stairs. I’ve visited this Dillards location five times in three months. Of those five, the elevator was only working ONCE. This is so disappointing. Customer service, women’s clothing, baby department, home items, etc are all on the top floors. If you have limited mobility (wheelchair, strollers, etc) keep in mind it is not an easily accessible store. They might have an elevator but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to use it. Dillards, please do better

I've always liked getting my intimates here. I'm going to need a swimsuit soon and I noticed they have quite a large selection for decent prices. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and don't say you were treated unfairly because of your age/race. That's just insulting yourself and everyone else. I hope you do get your money back, however you most likely will not, but maybe you could just be happy you got 40% off. There are so many homeless/struggling to make ends meet people out there who would feel amazingly blessed to be able to buy a 40% off item.

David, in men's suits is amazing. He helped me the whole way through the purchase of my first "real suit". He was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He was able to meet my budget and far exceed my expectations. He made sure everything fit properly and even went above and beyond to be sure my suit would be tailored and fit correctly when the time came, which I was in a pinch so it wasn't much time! Thank you to David for all your help, and I would recommend him personally to anyone shopping for a suit and needing a little advice on what to purchase.

Not happy with the Estee Lauder customer service. First it took awhile to get any help. Then when someone helped, they didnt have what I needed. So I put my name on a call back list after the lady said give them a week to get back with me. 3weeks later, no response from them. I called them to have them tell me they lost their list. (Btw 2nd time this sort of situation has happened to me -lost list). Don't fall for that scam of writing your name on the list. 2 xs I've done this and 2 xs they've lost it. Still don't have what I need.

So the customer service was good, friendly. But they didn’t have what I was looking for, so I settled for something else that was on a permanently reduced sale online, but Dillard’s refused to match the online price. They tried to get me to sign up for a Dillard’s credit card but, because they never have what I want in stock and won’t match online prices like other stores, I won’t be shopping here nearly enough to sign up. And with today’s less than satisfied experience, I probably won’t be returning to this location again.

I visited this Dillards store to return an item today which I purchased several days ago in another state. I don’t return merchandise so was somewhat apprehensive but a significant cost was involved and the blouse was defective. The saleslady could not have been nicer. It was a very cordial transaction and needless to say I am a satisfied customer. Interactions with other employees today was also positive. It was a pleasure to do business will a company that actually appreciates their customers.

I stood at the Mac cosmetics stand for about 15 min. So I started to help myself to what I came for, lol. I started opening up all the drawers looking for the mascara I use. A lady came over and asked what I was doing. I told her what I was looking for and she obviously knew nothing about Mac and couldn't find it, so we continued opening up drawers until I found what I needed. They really need to get someone working the counter because willow brook mall doesn't have a stand alone Mac store.

Horrible customer service. Myte the “store manager”. Has no clue how to remedy returns, on defective store products. Instead of losing loyal customers, try being reasonable. Just because a receipt wasn’t on hand. Doesn’t mean the item wasn’t purchased there. When the item in question was sitting right behind her. In the same box that was given to me when purchased. There by making me, look like some thief or lier. Please avoid this ring and designer. Products are defective.

Horrible service from the Dillard’s shoe department. I needed to return my heels that I’ve never worn for a different heel. I had to wait for An hour for the manager, for her to tell me I couldn’t return them. Because I was 4 days over the return period. Shoes were not worn in public, only tried them on at Dillard’s and my house. The sticker under the shoe is still on. The manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Didn’t even attempt to provide a solution.

Was there this Saturday as I was waiting for my charms to be put in my bracelet it became time to close, I was not shopping just waiting and the white male security guy approached me and my friend in a rude way saying “what’s the problem here whta are we doing here” didn’t even bother to ask nicely or tell us they were closing was just rude about it. Love the two Hispanic girls working at James Avery always so nice but can’t say the same about the security guy.

Went shopping in the men's shoes, found a nice pair only to find out they where miss-marked at the register. The associate, who was no where to be found while I was looking, inferred that maybe I switched the tickets! ?!? Needless to say, I did not and won't be back - ever. I did take the tinge to remove every boot odd the same type from the racks - turns out there were MANY prices for the same product. BEWARE OF DILLARD'S HERE!!!

I went to get JIMMY Choo blue and was helped by a 6'5" black haired woman so as to buy my cologne. I said I wanted Jimmy Choo blue and walked with her to get it as she said, " oh that's nasty Cologne". She asked me the which size and what type which which I told her and she then had a very snotty attitude and gave it to me after I paid. This person should not be selling anything and learn to keep her attitude to herself.

Customer service representative was extremely rude and impatient with me. One of the employees working shoes was very eager to help this one lady, but not me. When I asked him if they had a certain shoe, he did not acknowledge me or even look at the shoe, he just rudely said, "no we don't have it." This one female employee later came to help me, and she was really nice but the other two were terrible.

Pretty racist. My mom, Latina, was in the shoe department and asked one of the ladies working there if they had a certain shoe in a different size. The lady's immediate response, "whatever we have out is all we have in stock." A few minutes later, a white lady asks the same employee the exact same thing and the response, "Let me check" and actually continue to check and fully attend to her.

Went in looking for dresses to wear to a wedding later this year. Found 3 that match, thankfully, but when we went to check out...she rang one of us up and then her register stopped working. She took us across the store to another one. The customer sales rep try to rush you so that you make purchases and they get the commission. When I tried to get gift wrapping the lady grunted when I asked and said she was new and didn't know how to do it. This was after waiting 10 minutes for her to talk to me. Then when I did ask her she contacted somebody for help and they said it would be an hour to wrap a present. Ridiculous

Good parking; excellent merchandise, but women's clothing on 2nd floor had zero service from staff. I don't like to be hounded, but also don't like to be totally ignored! Two employees were in the area, and they were completely absorbed in 1) going to lunch and 2) arranging merchandise. If I had wanted to purchase something, I would have had to hunt down someone to ring it up!!

This store has a good selection of Men’s clothing and fragrances. I was pleased to see even Southern Tide shirts carried here. I was also helped by the nicest and sweetest Fragrance Sales Associate named Galina Tolmachyova who was selling Guerlain fragrances; a cologne I haven’t seen in years but has been a long staple in my family. I was delighted to become reintroduced to it.

I went to Dillard's today to buy a pair of boots. I was greeted by a very nice employee. The only problem I experienced was that two out of the three employees at the shoes' department have the nose out of the mask. I understand from uneducated customers that go around the store without a care of the rest but from employees? It is beyond ridiculous. I left the store.

Juniors dresses. The women that work in this department are useless. I needed to exchange a dress. I had the receipt. It would have been an even exchange. Nope they won't help you. Dillard's used to have great service. I had to purchase another dress. When you have low quality dresses. Low quality sales persons. This is what the customer gets. Shoppers be aware.

I had the best experience exchanging a mother's day gift for the right size. The lady who helped me, Gloria, was very kind and patient with me, and helped me find the right replacements. I could not have done it without her. My experience with Gloria has knocked my view towards Dillard's up several notches and I will definitely shop there again.

I like Dillard's. Lots of different things. Wide varieties of just about everything. Lots of Hawaiian shirts. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. And, it's important to support our local businesses. By doing so, we support the employees. I know Amazon is easy, but it's very important to keep their competition healthy.

Their selection for men's clothing is constantly changing.. big and tall shop needs to do better in some sections .. especially Ralph Lauren products. The staff is usually very helpful but finding what I need is difficult. Whom ever is the buyer needs to find out what the customer really wants.. and have more of certain sizes..

My comments are only for the men's clothing department. Lots of choices for tailored suits but limited choices for white collar vetement. Not too many brands for men trousers and even fewer are on sale. Another department stores nearby has lots more choices and many are on sale (up to 65% OFF) albeit little slower in checkout.

They have some pretty jazzy music playing sounded great very upbeat. A few the employees didn't like it very much but kind of change the tone for a dull rainy day. I told them the stores in London and a lot of men Europe play loud music and they've proven that if they have a party atmosphere people spend more money.

I was in men's fragrance with a young man who was helping me with buy some fragrances for my husband. He suggested bad boy cobalt. I ended up buying two off of him. This was the best sales experience I have ever had! It was filled with many laughs such a charming young man! Definitely will be back to buy from him!!

I love their kids section. Nice collections. A bit expensive though. The cashier at the checkout was very calm and very polite. She helped us with applying credit card. Very patiently she handled the situation. Great choices for kids and even better during sale time.. they offer great sales in kid’s clothing.

A gentleman named “Neil” helped me find the perfect Oxford Polo for the office. Neil was knowledgeable, friendly, and displayed the utmost professionalism. I like the store itself, but would be nice if me and my fiancee weren't constantly hounded by sales women everywhere we went. Made us really uncomfortable and she left behind the shoes she initially said she was definitely taking. Do better. Can't make commissions if you scare away customers.

Men's dept for a suit. David helped us with information and suggestions. He is worth his weight in gold; he should open his own place. We will always look for him when we go back. Our opinion of Dillards went up 3 notches because of him. The suit is a good quality; pleased with our purchase.

Several weeks earlier, I found a beautiful dress for my granddaughter. She went to church and I noticed she didn't have a Sunday coat. Went to Dilliards looking for the coat and found one. Two of the ladies immediately helped us and we found a beautiful black coat for her and she loves it.

They didn't have what I was looking for. The store is too crammed full of suff and you can't move around very well especially in a wheelchair. I asked an employee about a very common clothing item that I was looking for and they had no clue what it was or where to find it.
