Oh man this new store on 15th Ave and Van Buren. It's so nice the aisles are clear enough for you to walk and not bump into anything. Unlike the horror story on 19th Ave and Buckeye. Dirty cluttered unorganized. Poor customer service. And they watch people like me that don't steal for nothing or nobody. And the ones that are taking all kinds of stuff they don't even notice them. But I found my dollar General. They even have me a T shirt my last visit. And the staff is so nice. They know where everything is. And they help you find what you can't find on your own. Love this place. Kudos big time to the staff management. The location. And everything about it. A few weeks later. And the staff is snotty and kept telling my husband and I that we have to leave the property. Even though we made 3 separate purchases while waiting for a taxi. We called 3 different taxi services. My husband and i use a walker. So we have to let the taxi dispatcher lets the driver know we have the 2 walkers. And 2 large plastic bags and some small bags and of course my husband and I. We waited 4 hours. We had to leave the shade at the dollar general 15th Ave and Van Buren. Because the young male that looked like he was about 12 years old told us. You have 30 minutes to leave or I'm calling the police. I can't even count how many times the police have been called on me. QUESTION ARE WE TRESSPASSING IF WE MADE 3 SEPARATE PURCHASES? Geez Louise.

Dollar General at 15th Ave and Van Buren has a perfect latte and cappuccino dispenser, coffee too.... Frozen microwavable meals, ice cream , all sorts of beverages cold and room temperaturesSherpa throw blankets for when it's coldest in the nights.... Shelf paper linings, cloths pins, stationery items , immediately holiday items as convenience stores offer, pet foods, dairy, chips all types, possibly Tupperware too.... There's no fault in Dollar General and that store in that location is a prayer answered it's easy say , thank all of the people's for welcoming Dollar General to Phoenix Arizona .... The Valley Of Light.....

Great New location, built from the ground up. You enter into a small almost deli like section of the store I'm sure built into this store layout for the existing State building including the 9 story DOR building adjacent them. Captive audience of hundreds each day, problem was staffing. Went in to get simple water took way to Long to check out. I'd give it another chance but I'd have to give this place a Walmart level check out score for being so new and honestly inventive with those store layout. But if it seems to be the pattern boo. PS. The rest of the store from where I stood, and stood and stood....lol looked great!

Pretty clean. Has carts that you can use to shop but you're not allowed to take them out of the store to assist all the way to your vehicle so pretty pointless in my opinion. Staff is generally nice but there was one girl who was extremely rude to an elderly man when he realized he had forgotten something he really needed and wanted her to hold his stuff at the register while he quickly got it. I understand that that may have been annoying to the girl but there was no need to be rude to the poor guy who had been nothing but kind to her. (I didnt catch her name either) Other than that, it's a pretty nice Dollar General.

The prices are very high and I think it's called Dollar General because it charges a dollar or two more for everything it sells. Milk that sells at most stores for closer to two costs almost four. But often if you find one near you, and I often do, you may be paying for convenience. Keep in mind it's not a place to do your weekly shopping and may be better than nothing in a pinch with limited selection being better than nothing

I went here on Saturday (11/27/22) afternoon when I was looking for a particular item I purchased at a different location. They didn't have the item but they had similar items. The cashier was very friendly and the store was clean! Usually I see some clutter and unpacked boxes at Dollar General stores. Not this location! I was happy with my visit. The slushie and soda machine were out this day so I couldn't get one.

It was clean. had more of CVS vibe, Walgreens type scene going on. A wider selection than usual of food stuffs, definitely cosmetics and other sundries. Household cleaning and cooking supplies etc... I'd recommend checking it out. Heck I bought some stuff and am quite happy with it. However, on that note, it isn't literally a dollar an item type store AT ALL. OKAY? So, take note of that. Peace

It’s over this place is trash. The employees dancing and singing like its high school lunch time. The just throw your stuff in the bag don’t give receipts and …. then I can’t even send my daughter in there to get personal woman products without them asking questions or making remarks. Come on dollar general your better than this.!!!!!

Every time I go into the store it is clean and the workers are very friendly. From the outside due to the people that are loitering outside it's a little skittish however it's very updated they have a coffee machine where you can get coffee to go, a slushie machine, soda machine and grab-and-go food. Their prices are very reasonable

They had me leave my back pack at there table and leave it i inly bought soda and come back it was stolen they would not help me they would not evan rewind there dvr they are responsible for holding on to your personal responsibility but they are care less do not let them take your back packs they will not help..

I love the sales that Dollar General has..However, it is unfortunate that when at 8 am the first day of the sale that they are already out of product..if you are going to advertise a sale you should have sufficient quantity, so that multiple shoppers can appreciate it..not just the first two shoppers of the day

Everything seems to be just about a dollar and I got everything that I wanted the staff was friendly and I was not kicked out of the store I was treated kind and with respect and I was out in no time at all so I'm happy maybe not that happy, but you'll be good with the experience. ~R. ANTHONY GUY

Pretty good selection and fairly low prices. Sometimes not the most friendly or considerate employees, but overall they're solid and good at their respective occupations. The homeless people are very real here and they are something else, let me tell you just avoid them as best as possible.

It's okay. Not the friendliest or nicest place I've shopped. Often the things I need or am looking for don't seem to ever be in stock. Because of this I find myself rarely shopping here. If I do go its usually because a friend needs to stop by and that's when I'll get an item or two.

I like this DG location! They have excellent customer service. Despite homeless people loitering the premise, the staff do their best to keep the area clean. Their mobile app for discounts could be revamped with an easier interface, but the price for snacks isn't too expensive.

I had never been in a Dollar General before Tuesday, may 15th, and I likely will not enter another one moving forward. I understand for some individuals this kind of establishment is all they can afford, but for myself I would rather choose to utilise a Bashas or a Frys.

The app NEVER WORKS. The cashier has no idea how to take the coupons off. I would've saved $15 with the use of dollar general coupons as it is i actually saved over $50 because I refused to pay full price for items that I have coupons for. So I purchased nothing.

The cashier was slamming my groceries down.i ssked her if she could double bag my things because i had to ride the bus and she got huffee i dont know her name i just came from there about 5 minutes ago.the first cahier from the end.no people skills.

Dollar general is an affordable discount store you can get almost anything there I buy toiletries there and laundry detergent Downy it's very affordable I like shopping at Dollar general when money's tight or whenever I need something right away.

I had multiple people following me throughout the store the entire time I was shopping which was a little intimidating. When I used my card to make my purchase I was asked if it was my card when there was nothing warranting such a question.

Was one of my go to spots after work for a slushie because I'm a manchild. Usually clean with my only issue being the transients can be aggressive sometimes and was almost blinded when I parked and saw two hobos banging by the dumpster lol

I dont even go to walmart anymore cause Dollar General has got pretty much everything i need at prices that make me smile at the checkout counter. My DG has gotten the friendliest employees out of all of them..yes i highly recommend DG

great place great variety of household items around the corner. friendly staff just some.folksnin and out of there would be the downside as I often see homeless shoplifters it's sad but it's not up to the store nor their management.

Over all good location. good ,nice staff. Small yet convenient. Staff are usually consistent and considerate. Right down the street from a McDonald's, Cirke K and Social Security Administration so that's helpful. Namaste.

I asked to use the restroom, since I noticed it said " ask for key" to use it while shopping, and I had an emergency .I was refused bathroom priviledges even after making a purchase. Do better Dollar General, or go away!

I love this place they have all kinds of stuff and it's very cheap in the workers are very nice but too bad they're running out of frozen coffee instead they're going to do lemonade which I don't think I would like

Dollar general has late hours and my check out was very fast. I must say, i left quickly because the sales were overwhelming and my pockets were reaching empty. Ill regroup and go another day.

Store is clean, staff were friendly but all the panhandlers in the parking lot and inside the store are a problem. Definitely don't feel safe shopping at that location.

Awesome store but watch out for the whale up front and make sure u put in yoyr number before your transaction so u can get your coupons and promos to work

Urban dollar general. Has the self service icee and coffee machines. Really clean. Service was average. Overall a good experience considering the area.

"High end" Dollar general. Not very big but products that are available are better than the merchandise I generally associate with Dollar General.

Cheapest milk in the neighborhood! So I tend to stop here for the basics like milk and eggs. Convenient location is you live downtown.

Dollar General has a good selection of goods, but we didn't buy anything because my wife's debit card needed some attention.
