So I wish I could put no stars to start, after going there during a pandemic needing a simple spray bottle plus a couple other necessities being told over the phone and in person that they have spray bottles and that they are selling spray bottles and finding the spray bottles where I was told in the locked off area and mentioning it to another staff member ended up getting me yelled at by the staff member when I never rose my voice and to add from the security guard talking to the employee claiming that I was just trying to pick a fight, and then after being yelled at by an employee, talk to from another employee that was keeping her mask down and was asked many times to pull her mask backup, and even the manager Sarah gave me a lot of attitude. Trust me when I say this I will NEVET be shopping at that location again and I have been a loyal customer for 7 plus years... If I were you I don't recommend ever shopping at this location due to many issues not just this.

THIS IS NOT IN JACKSON SQUARE; LIKE THE GOOGLE THING SAYS. It is in the Ferguson station park area , (Ferguson and king , ish ) There is also one in Jackson square, but this walnut and main st , this one is less busy , and most people who know , know that the walnut one might not have all the things , BUT it has the basics -and then some . Jackson square gets neat goodies , because they are so large , but it’s less busy here And worth it no self check outs ——YET. People who work there AT WALNUT are so nice ! The one in Jackson sucks. I feel bad for those people. This is at walnut and main , you can walk through the Ferguson station park , walk through parking lot to the right when coming from king street , for dollarramma . And there you go . Right there on the corner . To your right .

Today I went to this store. (Generally very nice). A man sitting outside the doors eating chips. I said to the young lady "you should ask him to leave, it's not healthy for people going in. After a short time, she asked him to leave. He was a little confrontational, but left. The young lady then sorted me out on the checkout line and yelled " see I did that for you and got into an argument" . On my way out, I explained that it was for her safety also. This young lady started to raise her voice at me, put her hand up in a stop position and sarcastically told me "bye...bye, have a nice day! I did tell her yelling isn't necessary. Once again "bye...bye have a nice day!. Understandably these are trying times and we must appreciate the worker. To be rude is totally out of the question!

The manager, I assume(in range of 50-60)wearing sweatshirt Tuesday evening Nov.8 needs to spend time on training her (mostly young)staff. NONE of them acknowledge a customer when thanked and NONE of them ever say please or thank you. One young woman proceeded to argue about putting a receipt in the bag when the customer clearly indicated she wanted to see it. When I thank someone I expect at least a nod.. not a dumb look. I blame management fo r not properly training staff. Tonight this middle aged manager essentially assaulted me when she grabbed merchandise from my hand and screamed at me. I will of course contact head office. Fortunately there are many places I can shop I strongly suggest avoiding this location...there are several other Dollaramas in the immediate area area

review date: november 26, 2021 customer service dates: ongoing since 2019 positives: -a neighborhood dollarama that is a 10 minute walk from my property. -if they have what you are looking for, then you're saving money compared to the prices brand name stores may charge. cons: -no free parking anywhere near the store. -limited paid street parking on a busy street beside the store. -further away, there are paid parking lots. -limited selection of items compared to a larger sized dollarama, for example at the center mall. -some staff are polite at best, others seemed annoyed to be working there or when you ask for help to find an item. bottom line: i would use the dollarama @ main/walnut only if necessary. i would recommend the same for others.

Terrible Customer Service from the Store Lead/Manager. This morning the store was late opening. The gentleman in front of me was becoming irate as we could see 4 employees standing and chatting at the front of the store. When the shift lead/manager (I'm assuming but not sure) opened he questioned her on why they didn't open by the posted time. She informed him that she couldn't open because the tills where not operational. She then in a profanity laced tirade told this customer that he could leave now if he didn't like it. I understand that some customers can be difficult but her response went way overboard. I think customer service and perhaps anger management training is needed for this particular employee.

The DollarRama Store at 157 Main Street East Hamilton Ontario L8N 1H1 The Cashiers are not handing all the products back to customers upon check out. but they are acting as they have handed to the all the items to the customers. This is not first time this has happen to My wife and I, they claim that they have given all the items to us. we go straight empty our bags and then come to find where missing items . When attempt to correct the issue with this particular location, we get the O'well attitude.. Sorry but what ever happen to Customer satisfaction. My next step is going the Better Business Bureau Of Hamilton to register a complaint with them.

As with all Dollarama stores they have next to everything. Often cheap knockoffs but occasionally you'll find similar products to their more expensive counterparts and at times better! For example their "Terrifik" brand floor cleaning replacements. They're less wet, clean just as well as their more expensive counterparts and, in my experience, do a better job on laminate than the name brand version. Batteries, craft supplies, glass food storage containers, Dollarama has really become my go-to for staples at a far less price than can be found in most grocery stores. Along with Giant Tiger I love Dollarama for all my basic needs.

Alright I see there’s another review in here made recently that aligns with what happened to me. So the staff saying “it’s just his job” are definitely lying. The security guard decided to follow specifically me around when there was other people in the store. I have been going here since I moved to the neighbourhood and have NEVER had that happen to me until that day. He was also the “white” security guard mentioned in another review. Never seen this guy before and I never had an issue with any of the other guards. Unfortunately you have lost a customer, I do not appreciate being stereotyped this way.

I just got back from the store and I am literally feeling terrible because of behaviour of a salesgirl! I was shopping at end of an aisle with my hubby and my brother, suddenly this lean and thin, straightened hair salesgirl came talking very rudely about maintaining the aisle directions. Again I was at the end of an aisle, then where am i supposed to follow that direction? If the store manager or anyone who can teach that girl a little bit of courtesy , please Do that! It’s my HUMBLE request. Or else you know what happens when bunch of customers avoid going to that specific store.

Love the selection inside the store just didn't have cat litter like I always buy when I go here. Usually has a huge variety of stuff and also seasonal and Holliday related items provided what's going on. From school stuff to work stuff pet products and food munchies or basic needs they usually have what I'm looking for when I go there. Decent priced items and self-serve machines. Security at the door most times. Store inside Jackson Square. Not far from king entrence access from Odsp office/ musium next to where honest lawyer use to be.

This location usually has quite a nice selection of items and I find it is updated very frequently so there often nice merchandise. However I find that whenever I am shopping there the staff members tend to be quite rude to the customers. They are fairly pleasant towards me when I am there, however I have witnessed on many occasions the cashiers being rude to people who may be having a hard time communicating or may be a little bit more low income. Other than that sad fact it is a very nice dollarama and one of my favourites for product.

This is the closest store to me. I've noticed the selection has gotten smaller, , butmore important, with employess now maskless you can't feel safe. Today while trying to mantain distance (Covid is not over and it's airborne) and the employee refuses to keep customers safe by deliberately going near you after asking as immune compromised person. You need to shop, but need others to be responsible and respectful. Employees here today were not. Why business need mandates to do the right thing IDK. Stay safe if you need to go.

A newer store with wider isles good for wheel chairs and people moving around in motorized scooters. Lots of products to choose from, lots of stock on the shelves. Well organized. Staff is helpful when asked questions but not the friendliest at all times. This is a busy place. Have to choose the right time to go to the cashier. Have on several occasions seen a big line up happen in a couple of minutes. Line up for cashier went from 2 people to 8 or more almost instantly. Street parking. Easy accessible store access.

No parking we came in looking for a couple of chocolate bars they were absolutely none of them we asked where the chocolate bars work the lady working behind the counter told us that they no longer put the chocolate bars out because people steal them I don't see what the point in having a Dollarama and hiding merchandise and not allowing people to buy it because people steal it increased security protect yourself don't stop the public from being able to purchase items that are supposed to be for sale at a location

Lots of items to select from; more than most dollarstores in this area. But I do agree with most of the comments when it comes to customer service. They were a bit rude, and complained the whole time during our transaction. (I.E. "I was to go home... I hate it here...") I thought all that was unprofessional, as yes it can be harder to be in customer service during this time of year; it's just not an excess to take out your frustrations on the customers, especislly when I only cashed out 2 items..

I love dollarama, but I have to say... the prices are beyond ridiculous now... sad to say I do most of my dollar store shopping at the dollar tree now... everything is the same price ... go in with a budget and stick to it... I went into dollarama today with a dollar tree budget and spent 39$ when I could have gotten everything for 21$ ... unreal.. but dollarama does have a lot more items to choose from ... yet still some prices are even better at Wal-Mart...

This is a great Dollarama location. The staff here are always on their game and make sure you find what you need if they have it! Sometimes this location runs out of products quickly, as expected in a neighborhood surrounded by big buildings (otherwise it would be 5 stars) The staff are friendly and helpful and keep the location clean and presentable. They will always check in the back if something isn't on the shelf. Keep up the great work!

“Stop Disrespecting the aisle” so I was told by one of the male staff. I was with my kids all excited and he told me and my kids to put things back where you found them, all aggressive and stressed bc the district manager is coming today, June 18, 2021. Every time I go this particular dollar store, staff are all bent out of shape about the products on shelf. My kids never want to go back. I agree. Not kid friendly!

It’s alright, does the job! Most of the staff members are always super helpful and nice when you’re looking for an item. However, on a more general note and not specifically about this store, I find that Dollarama lacks some basic items that Dollar Tree sells—coaxial cable, hex keys set… (not even gonna talk about both stores selling the same items but Dollarama sells it 3 times the price…)

Good prices for great budget products. A variety of electronics, stationery, home essentials, cutlery and food items are available, there also a section for pet accessories and food. For budget needs, DOLLARAMA is one of the best in Canada, this store being no exception. The Staff is also great there's metal baskets for carrying stuff while choosing as well.

Excellent customer service and very well secured place to purchase everyday household items as well as clean establishment to visit. It's store policy to make sure that the items are purchased if opened even if it's fed to a child during the shopping experience. Thank you for understanding. I hope that you have a delightful day.

Was just dropping something in the mailbox and realized I needed toothpaste and a few other items... was immediately "greeted" by a very rude, bossy "customer service agent. Walked out immediately as clearly they don't want customers. Luckily there is a location closer to my home as I won't be visiting this location again.

Best Dollarama in the core area in my opinion. Lines up are small, aisles are wide and seem to have everything that the Jackson Square location does not. Highly recommend visiting this one VS using the Jackson Square location just for speed and easier access throughout the store. Both locations have excellent staff though.

I was in this Dollarama this morning, Oct. 31, and had the pleasure of being waited on by Tyler. He was the most cheerful and helpful employee I have ever met, and actually seemed happy to be there. Dollarama is lucky to have such a wonderful young man on their staff. He had me leaving with a smile on my face.

The line ups are ridiculous. The staff are very slow and don't present themselves as giving any sort of attention to their job, it appears they like to socialize more then clear a checkout line of 10+ people. Not to say all of the staff, it just seems to be what I have encountered a lot lately.

Employees refuses to wear mask properly while operating the cash (and was rude when I requested she wear it properly). No enforcement for customers either. Avoid if immune compromised or just dont want to catch COVID. There are tons of discount stores around that are taking precautions.

Always a great place to stop in for my last minute needs at a great price such as, batteries, snacks, gift wrap and or various other item's needed. Always well stocked with so many great idea's to get for all when seeking gifts for all on your list as loot bag idea's also.

Most staff are nice. They have pretty much everything the other stores do, it's just a lot smaller, so they may not always have the stock you need. However, if you ask for it, they may have it in the back, cause they don't always have the shelve room

Love this location. The staff are always friendly and helpful & usually know where all their items are located. Even when they frequently change where stuff is located. Too many places around this area is expensive. I'm glad this store opened here.

I like the store. Stuff friendly. What I like the most is the new service delivering by case to the door. So we can purchase onkine items that are in the store. In the site is showing the amount yiu need to spend for particular items. Nice store!

Downtown location but Street parking was available after rush hours. Not as large as most other Dollarama stores, but most household necessities are available here. The line up was not long and the cashier on the form of a person was pleasant.

Good selection and always less lineup time than the Jackson Square store. Staff are polite and know their products well. Only complaint is they move items around often... as soon as you know where something usually is found it gets relocated!

Although I like shopping here, the security measures they implemented recently have made the checkout process take far too long. If I see more than five people in line I usually just leave. Checking out shouldn't take longer than shopping

Love this Dollarama it sells bread products and other merchandise that the Dollarama by my place at Westcliff mall does not. I highly recommend this store the employees are very friendly compared to the other Dollarama's I've been to!

Lots of great stuff with great prices but there are a few things that are a bit overpriced for being a dollar store so that's why it's 4 out of 5 stars but mostly it's a very great store with very great prices. You can't go wrong.

Easily one of the best stocked Dollarama’s around. — Staff are friendly, polite and engaged. — One more star if it wasn’t quite so apparent that they give the bulk of the hours to the “lifers”… Part timers need to eat, too.

Helpful staff. Lots of affordable items but sometimes you get what you pay for. Great place for snacks and household items. They did not have the poop assassin at this location and I really need a poop assassin in my life.

Always spend and buy more than I want to lol great store for hair ties for kids great prices on kitchen wraps foil and wax paper eat and if u have a sweet tooth u can't beat their prices for candy and chocolate bars

Being a franchise the product line is very similar at each store and this one is no exception. The store was very clean, there was plenty of stock of each product and checking out was quick and friendly.

They are not open so I don't even understand why do you want me to do a review of this store I was over there but I couldn't get in you want to see what it got when I was approached the door here you go

I’m always surprised at the kind of stuff that a dollar store has. Often liquidated items that fit pretty well in a household find their way here for a bargain. Worth shopping the aisles.

Buyer beware prices desplayed for items on the self/ on item and what they charge you at the till is different . I'm not sure how legal that is . They don't even tell you it has changed .

They got pretty good stuff like any other dollarama store. They have good kitchenware and gardening tools, a large variety of sewing tools and materials (but I couldn't find inch tape).

Love this place for so many reasons...get all my nicks and knacks here. I'm giving 4 stars because some of the staff are truly miserable....Jackson Square being a prime example.

Of course they don't sell premium Goods, but if you're looking for some quick, handy, and sometimes disposable items, this might be a good place because of the sheer variety.

Found what i was looking for. The only downside is parking. Haven't figured out where to park except right on Main Street, which makes it not wheelchair accessible.

Big store large selection. Recently renovated. Clean and polite staff. I also have found some cool vinyl figures at this store. $15 + on Amazon - $4 Dollarama.

Because I love Pepsi,and they ALWAYS have it for 82 cents for one litre,less than a buck a litre, nowhere better except maybe when other sales are on elsewhere

They have recently done a reno of this store although I have always found it to be one of the more spacious. The aisles are wider making it easy to navigate.

This store has EVERYTHING. I think they should advertise the higher price of things as of late but still hands down my favorite store to go to for ANYTHING!

Theres only ever one cashier here so make sure you have some time. This Dollarama always has the best kids toys and games so I always try to come here.

Large store, with friendly and accommodating staff - I saw them assist a shopper with a wheelchair carrying his bags outside for his cab.
