Amazing food & service to match. We booked on a whim, don't let the outside fool you.. we were a bit sceptical when we arrived but through to the resturant is tastfully decorated. Particularly loved the red checkered table cloths which I watched them change between guests, the service was very attentive and our waitress was able to answer our questions and gave great recommendations! Definitely recommend for delicious Italian food.

Amazing service, awesome authentic Italian food and great atmosphere. Best Italian I've ever had! The waiters are so great at describing the meals I wanted to eat them all! The arancini balls are so tasty but beware they are very filling, try sharing these if you can. The pasta is perfect we had the seafood risotto and scallop spaghetti. The flavours were just perfect not too over powering and not too subtle. We didn't have room for dessert but tried anyway with just the affogato and gelato, both were on point. The serving sizes are very large so be prepared to eat a lot just like if you were at a Nona's house. I recommend coming here to anyone that's neat Sandy Bay.

Lovely food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend the ravioli with sweet potato filling. Gnocchi pieces were a bit too large and doughy, but the lamb pieces melted in your mouth. Parking was free after 6pm and the restaurant is very accessible from the parking lot. Bathroom was very clean and well stocked. Overall great experience, would try the tiramisu next time!

Not many places where we've basically cleaned our own plates. Food was fantastic, serving size being just right for the price. Servers were prompt and friendly, without being overbearing at all. We had the special (Spaghetti with prawns, chili, caramelised onion & napoletana sauce) and the gnocci. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends, and will definitely be coming back again. I'd vote 6 stars if I could.

Amazing restaurant. Dined with my mother and daughters tonight and WOW it was amazing! Incredible service by Dino and the team and wonderful food. The oldest restaurant in Hobart and we can see why it’s been in business for so many years. Do yourself a favour and dine here!!! If we could give six stars we would (for the artwork in the bathroom)

Nice place for a drink or friends/family dinner! The place is crowded when it’s dining time, full house of laughing. We have a spaghetti and a gnocchi. The seafood pasta tasted a bit unflavored at first, but you can adjust with the salt on the table so it’s fine. Seafood is from local so nothing can beat it. Gnocchi is so soft, wrapped with perfectly cooked lamb

Tucked away in Magnet Court at Sandy Bay, sits Don Camillo. It is a local institution. The service is friendly, the atmosphere cosy and the food delicious. We started with the cheese plate, to open up our appetite. I ordered the veal. The meat was juicy and tender, served with mashed potato and sauteed vegetables. The pork chop was also awesome. Overall, great experience.

Don Camillo Restaurant is an absolute gem! Dino, the owner, goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Such a nice place for friends/family dinner. Friendly staff and cozy ambience. I love their Penne Puttanesca and Spaghetti marinara. Highly recommended!

Wonderful food with complimentary running advice ahead of the Point to Pinnacle race. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly. The carbonara and tiramusu are. Will hopefully be back next year!

Currently in a food coma after having the seafood chowder - very substantial and also rediculously tasty. The owner is lovely and served us with such friendly hospitality even though we arrived near closing time. Desserts are delicious too. But the after dinner mints at the counter are A MUST. And they're free ;)

It was very delicious and authentic Italian restaurant. I didn't order wine but the food was tasty and perfectly suit with wine. The staff were very friendly . Inside of restaurant have nice Italian atmosphere . If I got chance to come back to Tasmania , I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Beautiful vibe and the ambience of the restaurant is brilliant. Beautiful local Italy paintings all around the walls and delicious wine range. Food - yumilicious as you can see in the pics, great recommendations from the waitstaff. Thank you Don Camillo, will be visiting there again soon :)

Fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The food was authentic, and the service was seamless. Bookings are essential on the weekend, as we were lucky to squeeze in early.

Great authentic Italian restaurant hidden in Sandy Bay. Delicious food, extremely hospitable hosts and reasonably priced. Ordered a serving of the garlic bread, Mamma's Lasagna and Carbonara with mushrooms, and all pleased the palette. Highly recommend

6/5 This place is amazing. Every single dish was chef’s kiss. The staff are amazing and very hospitable as well. We had the carbonara (without cream) and the steak. The cassata was on point as well. Dont give this a miss!!
