Firstly Lorenzo was a great host, he provided us with information about where was best to eat, where and which bus or metro to take and how long it would take to walk to various places. He even allowed us to leave our luggage when we checked out as we had an evening flight, this was of course extremely helpful and we were very grateful. The location is also very good, is a 7 minute walk to the coliseum and the roman forum and lots of nice restaurants nearby to eat at. The room was adequate for us but agree with other reviews about the small bathroom and we also had the issue about the AC leaking if running for too long and the mini fridge also didn't seem to be plugged in, but this wasn't a big issue for us overall. Overall I would recommend this place for the location and Lorenzo.

Eine super Unterkunft für eine Städtereisen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Wir haben alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen können. Einen Bus haben wir in den 5 Tagen nur vom Flughafen zum Hotel und wieder zurück genutzt, ein Taxi nur einmal zum Vatikan, da wir dort morgens um 7:30 Uhr bei einer gebuchten Tour sein mussten. Das Zimmer ist klein und anspruchslos eingerichtet aber absolut ausreichend. Das Bett war gemütlich. Der Besitzer ist sehr höflich und bemüht. Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen pünktlich auf die Minute auf unserem Zimmer serviert. Das Frühstück war einfach und süß (Joghurt, Gebäckteilchen, Zwieback, Butter, Marmelade, Ei, Obst, Saft und Kaffee). Leider kamen wir mit der Klimaanlage nicht richtig zurecht, so dass wir nachts das Fenster öffnen mussten. Der Verkehr ist bei geöffnetem Fenster sehr laut. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein aber sauber - für uns war es ausreichend. Das Zimmer wurde täglich tipptopp gereinigt und aufgeräumt. Wir hatte eine wirklich tolle Zeit in Rom.

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! Lorenzo’s hospitality was top notch. He always went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was great, I especially loved the croissants and orange juice! The location is a major plus point! It’s a 5-15 mins walk to the main attractions. During check in, Lorenzo provided a map with highlights of the main attractions, best places to shop, restaurants with rip-off prices to avoid and good eateries. The retro styled elevator was pretty cool. The rooms are a bit small, but we didn’t mind at all. Will definitely recommend to any first-time visitors like me.

Lorenzo è veramente gentile e accogliente! Con molta gentilezza ci ha spiegato come raggiungere le attrattive principali di Roma,tutte facilmente raggiungibili a piedi in pochi minuti. Nonostante la posizione centralissima, la camera è molto silenziosa. Colazione servita in camera ad un orario concordato e assolutamente rispettato. Abbondante e varia. Appena ho aperto la porta, il profumo di latte caldo mi ha piacevolmente ricordato la colazione che da bambina facevo dalla nonna. Io e il mio ragazzo abbiano trascorso 4 piacevolissimi giorni nella capitale e quando torneremo, sicuramente sceglieremo nuovamente questa struttura.

This hotel was charming and had everything we needed to clean up and rest each night. The location was great as you are within a short (less than 5-10 minutes) walking distance from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. What made this place great though was Lorenzo. He was very friendly and provided great insight into navigating Rome. Breakfast was also superb! I traveled throughout Italy and it was nice to have something beyond pane (bread) for breakfast at this location. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Oh, and they have A.C. A major plus in the hot summers!

We had a wonderful staying in Soggiorno downtown! It's a really nice place, with moderate prices, located in the centre of Rome. Although via Cavour has traffic, the hotel is surprisingly quiet, due to double windows. It's simple, warm, and we especially have to mention senior Lorenzo! He went above and beyond to accommodate us. He is kind, polite and very helpful. We'll definitely stay there again!

Great place and great price for how convenient and close it is to a lot of major tourist stops. Was especially wonderful when I had a flight land early in Rome and I was able to check in as early as 11:30am. Hosts were friendly and helpful with recommendations and room set up. Front door and be easy to miss so look for it right next to the series of Chinese lanterns. Accessibility note: there is an elevator but you do have to walk up a half flight of stairs to get to it

We stayed for 4 nights at the Downtown Accommodation in early October 2014 based on the recommendation of our son & daughter-in-law who had stayed there in June. The location was ideal, the breakfast was very good, the room was very clean, and the wi-fi connection was great. We were also impressed with how helpful Lorenzo was in explaining how to get to different areas of Rome (and places to avoid). We would highly recommend Downtown Accommodation and would return there if we are lucky enough to travel to Rome again!

Ci sono stato l'anno scorso. Raga, ve li consiglio se siete in vacanza a Roma. Chi gestisce tutto è una coppia di coreani, ma devo dire che sono stati Gentilissimi, con la G maiuscola. Ho parlato anche tanto con la moglie e mi raccontato la sua storia e di suo figlio, veramente bellissimo e non da sottovalutare.

Molto gentile il proprietario, simpatico e disponibile, posizione del luogo incredibile e vicinissima alla zona principale di Roma (Colosseo e foro romano), molto suggestivo anche di sera. Colazione in camera veramente ricca e buonissima, abbiamo apprezzato molto che venisse servita all'ora che volevamo direttamente in camera. Super consigliato!!

Prenotato il 9 maggio tramite booking.it un soggiorno di 3 notti (23/26 maggio) ad un prezzo di 380€ con condizione di prenotazione non rimborsabile. Un'ora dopo riceviamo un sms che causa problemi con la gestione delle prenotazioni ci consigliamo di annullare la prenotazione. Abbiamo dovuto contattare booking per avere spiegazioni e ottenre la cancellazione gratuita senza alcun addebito. Esperienza alquanto triste.

Posizione ottima a pochi minuti dalla stazione e vicino al centro, camera piccola ma pulita, colazione abbondante e gestore molto disponibile, ci ha dato buone informazioni su come muoverci. Lo consiglio per chi non ha grandi pretese e vuole godersi di più la città come abbiamo fatto noi.

Great location for the price! The bed and pillows are not very comfortable. We found the owner to be quite rude, he entered the room while we were sleeping to tell us about the checkout process. The breakfast is quite decent (coffee, juice, croissant, toast, butter, and jam).

This place was great! the owner could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but acquitted and clean. The breakfast got to be a bit monotonous, but that is a minor issue. The facility is in a great spot a couple of blocks from the Coliseum and Trajan column. The price was great.

I highly recommend this place which is at a 5 min walk from the colosseum and many other historical sites. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner is super friendly and helpful.

Would definitely return when back in Rome. Stayed steven days, two people. Close to Forum and Colosseum - within walking distance of other attractions. But the main thing we loved was the owners; helpful, nice and thoughtful. Breakfast was served at the room of our own time choosing. Thank you!

We stayed at this hotel for couple of days. Location was good, so you can reach all beauties of Rome on foot But, room was super tiny and wasn’t clean. The administrator was a bit annoying by repeating for few times to not leave AC on.

Family run place, 5 min away from the coliseum and 10-15 min away from the termini station. Both the owner and his wife were very helpful! Breakfast was very basic but it does the trick.

Really good location for the Colosseum and pantheon and trevi Fountain. Small showers but good size room. They are very helpful here and have very good service.
